(My thoughts on if the daughter of Tinkerbell, Fae, was never born on the Isle of the Lost. This was my original concept for Fae's character and yes, still gonna be a Harry Hook x OC pairing~)

Chapter 1: A Faerie Without Purpose

Fae sighed as her fingers danced through her Magical Theory textbook. The resident of Neverland felt like she was wasting her time. She knew how to control her powers, had lived her whole life surrounded by magic and had followed her mother's instructions on how to be the best faerie she could be. But regardless of her knowledge, she had yet to find her purpose. A faerie without a purpose was dangerous. Her mother had struggled with her own purpose but found it beside her life-long King of Neverland, Peter Pan. And now the young fae was in Auradon to find her purpose.

But no one in this land used magic! Everything was fine here, no curses to be broken, no princesses in need of a faerie guide, and no way for Fae to study to get her fairy Godmother's license! Truly, she had thought so hard on what she could do that she could only think of what she couldn't do. Her short blond curls were in disarray, seafoam eyes shut as she tried to calm her frustration. Sitting up, she opened her eyes to pace-- sometimes thinking was better when she moved with her racing thoughts. She stopped when her eyes spotted the dark island in the distance.

The Isle of the Lost was a place that she had never been to but knew about. A place for villains to stay so that the civilians and heros of the United States of Auradon could live without worry. But that had been for 20 years... surely there must be kids there by now. Were they okay? She had never seen anything sent there except for garbage barges... and with the eternal clouds, could anything grow there?

Fae bit her lip before unleashing her wings and taking off out her window. She would check it out, avoiding the anti-magic barrier. Perhaps her purpose was to help them? She could help them from the outside, somehow.

The flight was short but as she hovered at the broken bridge, her eyes widened at the deplorable state. Buildings put together and just barely standing, people dressed in rags and dirty, so many fighting and stealing amongst each other just to survive. The faerie flew to another side of the Isle, a place inhabited by pirates. So many were missing limbs, seemed to be unwashed, and sick... perhaps with scurvy since there wasn't even a scrap of green on the gnarled trees she'd spotted so far. A teal-haired girl barked orders on one of the smaller ships as her crew carried on swabbing the deck and fixing parts of the ship, The Lost Revenge if she was reading the name right.

"Well, well, well... what have we got here?" A sly voice purred too close for comfort. She fluttered backwards a bit as her seafoam eyes locked onto light blue-grey eyes of a young man with dark hair. His lips were pulled into a grin and he lightly twirled a silver hook in his hand.

Fae knew that hook and she fluttered nervously as her jands were clamped in front of her. "Hi... I'm Fae..."

He chuckled, taking a step back on the mostly rotten dock and bowed almost good-naturedly. "Harry Hook, first mate of The Lost Revenge~" He gave a little cackle and returned to his position right next to barrier that kept them apart. "Question is, what's a fairy princess doin' so far away from Bore-adon?"

The blond tilted her head then looked down at her outfit. Dark green tank top with vine-like designs, a pair of dark blue jean shorts, and a pair of brown leather strappy sandals with a little heel. She wasn't even dressed like nicely. "...I'm no princess... I'm just a faerie trying to find my purpose. I just got to Auradon but there's nothing there for me to do. So I figured maybe I can help you guys."

He lunged at her, scaring the pixie dust out of her as the barrier caught the tip of Harry's hook then rebounded the young man back into the rotted wood. "We don' need yer help," he hissed out the word as if it was a curse to speak of help. His former grin was now more like teeth bared in rage. His eyes flashed as he pushed himself back to his feet and his empty hand unsheathed the sword at his hip. He moved to attack the barrier again fighting against it before it tossed him back again.

"Stop! You can't get out-- you're just wasting your energy!" Her words took on a pleading tone and only seemed to further enrage him. But as he went to strike again, a hand gripped his sword hand. He snarled and swung his hook to whoever dared to stop him. Another hand took hold of that hand and he glared into the eyes of the teal-haired captain. He took a couple of breaths before looking at Fae then back at the girl before giving a tight smile and pulling away.

"Captain... this fairy says she wishes tae help us. I was merely expressing my refusal for such an offer..." His lilting accent did nothing to hide his anger.

The girl turned her cold brown eyes to the blond on the other side. "Help us? Why?"

"I need a purpose. A faerie without a purpose isn't much of a faerie, you know?" Fae let her words fade from her lips and shrugged lamely. Most wouldn't understand her feelings on the matter, the words were only truly understood by fellow faeries.

"Unless you have Fairy Godmother's wand, you can't help us. We've been trapped here for 20 years... no way out."

Seafoam eyes watered at the sound of the captain's voice. Surely they weren't giving up. She shook her head. "I don't have the wand but I should be able to do something. I mean... so many people are sick. I can bring medicine, find a way to drop it off to you guys and you can distribute it." At the eyebrow raised, she sighed. "I know it's not a solution but if I can talk to the prince, maybe we can start getting the children out. You shouldn't have been allowed to stay in this... this..."

"Prison?"

The blond nodded with a small smile. "Just... dont give up. I'm Fae, daughter of Tinkerbell. I will make this goal my purpose and do everything I can..."

The teal-haired girl rolled her eyes and then smirked. "Okay. I'll believe it when I see it." As she turned away, she called out, "What's my name?"

"Uma!" the crew crowed.

Harry watched his captain leave, the crew following. Then he turned back to Fae and tilted his head. "Do what ye will. If we get off this Isle, it'll be a miracle. But what've we got ta lose?" He went to leave but stopped. "Blankets an' fruit would be helpful too, fairy princess..." His voice was soft and didn't hold the bite it once did. But she knew that he didn't trust her.

That was fair. She would just have to prove him wrong.
