Leaf's Wolverine
Chapter 1
Laz Vegas,
MGM Grand.
Through the casino room past teh cheers of people winning fortunes on the slot machines, past the screams of curses of those who lost there's kids college money and towards the Blackjack table we see man in his 40's a former computer engineer named Jack who lost his job because of his boss's failure, trying his best to forget what happened he places his last bet of 100 dollars on his hand.
"Player has 6 and 4 giving him 10... your move sir" The dealer said.
"Hit me" The dealer drew a card showing an ace.
"21 player wins" The dealer said giving Jack his winnings.
For the next twenty minutes the it looked like the hands of fate was in Jack's hand as he was up 10,000 dollars.
"OH YEAH... keep'em coming" Jack said as he looked around hoping to see a small crowd but saw no-one there at all not even at the slot machines.
"Where did everyone go" He said as he looked at the dealer who had a smile on his face.
"Sir your next bet" He said as jack looked at his pair of 2 Jack's with blood on them, seeing this he grabbed his chest.
"What's happening... am I'm dead"
"Yes and no sir" The dealer said as a bright light engulfed him and his appearance changed, jack seeing the new face was filled with shocked and surprise.
"John de Lancie... what's happening, what are you doing here"
"Close... but I'm afraid I'm not that handsome devil" Jack hearing this begin thinking on what's going on around him.
"What's happening... please tell me what's happening" Jack said only for the dealer to be annoyed at him.
"You humans are so annoying"
"Humans... what are you the devil"
"No try again"
"Not the devil but you look like John... HOLY SHIT"
"Ding Ding we have a winner"
"Q... THE Q"
"Guilty as one can be"
"But how"
"Oh Don't bother asking how, the answer is rather simple... well to me anyway" The dealer now named Q responded but saw confusion on Jack's face.
"Fine... let me explain it in a way that even an amoeba like you can understand... it goes like this infinite number of universes and timelines, infinite possiblities including some where beings such as I exist who can travel between them all very easily"
"Ok then... so why are you here and why am I bleeding"
"Oh that's easily"
"Somehow I doubt it"
"Oh but it is, you see after you lost your job to that boss who couldn't tell the difference between a bin and a warp core"
"How the hell did that asshole became my boss I never know"
"His dad owned the company and is blind to how stupid he really is... may I continue"
"Please"
"After you lost your job you came here drinking in despair and gambling what's left of your money, for a while you were doing poorly till just now when you manage to all of it back and then some only to be killed by a stray bullet from a botched casino heist"
"Ah come on, can I get a break in life"
"Oh tell me about it your life was shit, your school life was shit full of bullies who kept you down and teachers who just ignored it all, your older siblings were jealous of your high IQ and did everything they can to make you suffer for it"
"KNEW IT... bunch of dumbasses who got everything handed to them on a silver platter"
"And it was your parents who handed them that platter and believed everything they said before you even got the chance to get word in it"
"So much for parental love... assholes"
"Quite so... and yet despite all of that you manage to make something of yourself, managed to get into college granted it wasn't the one you wanted"
"Yeah you can blame my siblings for that, assholes ruined my high school science project, that totally would've got me into MIT"
"And it certainly would've but ended up with a barely second rate College instead and yet despite all that you kept going forward, you manage to graduate with honors or what they consider honors at that place, you moved to Vegas where you spent the rest of you little life up to this point"
Jack looked a bit down at the end of that.
"So what now all powerful Q, yor going to show me what my life is going to be like if I did things differently"
"Oh contraire... I'm here to offer you a once in a lifetime deal or rather a deal for your next life"
"Go on"
"One game of Blackjack for how you will live your life in a random universe of my choosing"
"As in"
"As in if you win I'll give you any power or abilities from someone or like someone as long as they are not a god out of numerous fiction books you've read or watched or played in your whole life so that you can have a head start in your next"
"And if you win"
"You get nothing but what your dealt with in that life"
Jack looking at the Godly Q for moments before deciding thought back on his life, it was true that his life was hard up to this point even when his parents passed away they left everything to his brother and sister who didn't give him anything and just laughed at him for having to work to get everything in life, thinking back on this Jack laughed like a madman which caused Q to smile.
"HAHAHA I don't if this is real or not, but what the hell deal me in"
"Very well let this little game of your little life begin"
Q said as he drew the cards, Jack having a 10 and an 9 while Q had a 7 and the hole card.
"Well Jack your move" Jack taking a moment.
"I'll stand" He said as Q revealed his second card which was 5.
"Dealer with 12... hits" Q drew another card.
"Oh shame... dealer has 22 busts"
"OH YEAH JACK FOR THE WIN" Jack said shouting up and down like a madman.
"Congratulations Jack and to the winner goes the spoils, what do you want to help you in the next life"
Jack stopping for moment to think on what he wants.
"Before I choose do I still remember who I was in this life"
"But of course... now choose but remember the Universe you'll be sent to will be random"
Jack thinking hard on what to choose, the list was he was thinking on was pages and pages long, but he narrowed it down to possible Universes where his life could be in danger, thinkning on powers that increase his chances of survival it was down to either a race from teh Dragon ball universe but that might leave him vulnerable to either diesases or poisons, he already was afraid on the dieases or illness part as his family had a history of genetic illness which caused the death of his parents and grand parents and that led his choice back to one power or more accurately one person where such things would'nt even be a problem.
"Okay I've made my choice"
"And what power do you desire" Q said with a smile.
"Marvel's Wolverine please" Jack said as Q thought for a moment to think on before responding.
"Ah yes Wolverine... Regenerative Healing, Superhuman durability, senses, strength, agility, reflexes, stamina even speed and also 6 retractable bone claws... all in all a good choice for where you are going"
Jack blinking for moment.
"Wait what do you mean by that, you said it was random"
"Random for you but not for me... enjoy"
Just before Jack could say anything Q snapped his fingers and blinding light engulfed him for a moment.
Unknown Universe.
Unknown Location.
As the blinding light died down Jack looked up and saw the stars and two people.
"Ok it's night time and there are two people who... look... familar and oh shit" Jack instantly recongizes them as Minato and Kushina looking around he sees candles around him and one giant pissed off looking fox.
"Oh shit shit shit I'm in the Naruto Universe and shit shit shit I'm freaking NARUTO"
"Have fun Jack or should I say good luck Naruto"
