April Showers Bring May Flowers-Ch 2
Derek had pulled up in front of Tamaras and said, "here you go", she got out and smiled, she leaned over and said, "thanks again Derek, I didn't know who else to help me", he said, "no problem at all Tamara, I was glad to help you".
She said, "are you sure that you don't want to come in?", he said, "no thanks, I'm gonna head over and spend some time with my girlfriend, I've got some things to make up with her", Tamara said, "ohhh I see, have a fight did you?", Derek said, "you could say that, I said some things that I have no idea why I said them".
She nodded her head and said, "I hear you there and once you say some things you can't take them back", he said, "sadly no you can't but I'll do anything to make her see that I am so so sorry for everything that I said to her".
Tamara said, "have a good night and maybe if you and your girlfriend get back together you guys can double with me and my fiancee?", Derek said, "I'd love that, I'll ask her, well that is when she'll talk to me that is".
Tamara said, "don't give up Derek, if you love her make her feel how much you love her", he said, "ohhh don't you worry I'm not going to give up on her, I will make her see how much I love her and that it's her, it's always been her that I want", Tamara said, "good luck", he said, "thanks" before pulling away from the curb.
She stood there smiling and said, "I hope that you can make things work out Derek because everybody deserves to be happy, especially you", she then turned around and started making her way toward her front door, she still had a few minutes before her fiancee would be there for dinner so she'd have time for a quick shower.
Meanwhile at JJ and Reids the trio were sitting in the living room and JJ said, "alright, now tell us what happened between you and Derek", she tucked her legs up under her and blew out a deep breath as she readied to fill them in on everything that had happened between her and Derek this morning.
Flashback
Penelope walked through her apartment and smiled, it was almost time for Derek to pick her up for work, she loved it when they rode in together, she loved spending time with him and the more the better as far as she was concerned.
When he arrived she could tell that something was wrong, he seemed mad, really mad and then he turned and looked at her and said, "did you go out for lunch with Kevin yesterday?", she said, "well yes but no", Derek said, "it can't be both, is it yes or is it no?", Penelope said, "I went out to lunch with Tabby and Alli from counter terrorism and he showed up and just pulled his chair over to the table".
Derek crossed his arms over his chest and said, "do you expect me to believe that?", Penelope said, "why wouldn't you believe it, it's the truth Derek", he said, "I overheard a conversation from two people that work at the BAU and they were talking about you and Kevin".
Penelope said, "let them talk, there is nothing going on with me and Kevin, I love you Derek, you", he laughed and said, "yeah right, that's obvious that you love me, a woman that loves me wouldn't cheat on me, wouldn't go out to lunch with him and lie to me and tell me she was going with friends".
Penelope said, "waittttttt, cheat on you, are you saying that I am cheating on you with Kevin of all people?", Derek said, "let's not talk about this now, we're only going to fight", Penelope held up her hand and said, "ohhhhhhh no buddy, you started this and I'm gonna finish it".
Derek said, "well then in that case, yes, yes I'm asking you, are you cheating on me with Kevin, are you going out with Kevin again?", Penelope said, "how can you think that, we're together at work all day and them when you're in town we're together at night for the most part".
Well you know what they say about cheaters and liars?", her heart shattered and she said, "cheaters and liars?", Derek could tell that he'd said to much but he was hurt after what he'd overheard about her and Kevin earlier and didn't have the sense to just shut up about cheating and lying.
Penelope said, "I think it's time for you to go, I'll drive myself in", he said, "fine, be that way and tonight, after work I won't be coming over either, so maybe you can go be with Kevinnnnnn", she said, "well maybe I will" and she walked over and opened the door and stood there until he walked out into the hallway, she then slammed the door in his face and slid down to the floor.
End of Flashback
Reid said, "that doesn't sound like Morgan though, does it?", she said, "no it doesn't but he wouldn't listen to me boy wonder, he just kept saying the words cheating and lying over and over and no matter what I said he wouldn't believe me", JJ said, "well at least you aren't spending any time with Kevin".
Penelope said, "welllllll", JJ said, "oh no Garcie, what happened?", Penelope said, "he came into my office today and told me he loved me and wanted me back", Reid said, "and what did you say?", she said, "I told him that I didn't love him and would never get back together with him".
JJ walked over and sat down on the couch with Penelope and held her friend as she completely broke down, she was heartbroken, had she just lost the love of her life, had she lost Derek to Tamara forever", Reid sat there looking at Penelope and vowed to himself that he would find out what was going on between Derek and Tamara and he'd do it tomorrow.
Meanwhile, outside Penelope's apartment Derek was knocking on her door, he said, "sweetness let me in please", he got no response at all so he tried it several more times and then he finally pulled his keys from his pocket and found her apartment key and put it in the doorknob and then pushed the door open.
All he found was a dark and empty apartment, he turned the lights on and then stood in the middle of her living room wondering just where she was, why wasn't she home, was she out with Kevin, had he foolishly pushed her into the arms of another man?", he pulled out his cell and dialed her number.
When it went straight to voicemail he knew that she had either turned her cell off or ignored his call, both of which hurt but after the things he'd said to her this morning he couldn't blame her for avoiding him, as he made his way back to his truck he said, "I'll make it up to you baby girl and I'll start tomorrow, I'll start tomorrow".
