it was a normal day in the Hauntley family well as normal as a family of monsters can be vampirina was busy playing with her two best friends poppy and Bridget, chef Remy was busy in the kitchen cooking, Mrs hauntley was busy in her garden, and Mr hauntley was reading his paper while demi was talking to Gregoria
while vee and her friends were playing she had a thought what would it be like if I had a sibling that's when she asked poppy
hey poppy what's it like having a sibling. poppy looked at her and said well I guess it's like always having someone around if your parents aren't home though siblings do fight quite a bit why do you ask?
vee smiled and said I was just curious. that's when Bridget interrupted maybe you could ask your parents to adopt you a sibling if you want one so badly.

vampirina started fantasizing about what her life would be like if she had a sibling and her fantasy is far from reality
after Bridget and poppy left vampirina went downstairs to her parents and asked them hey mom dad do you think we could adopt a sibling for me
that's when Mr hauntley spit out his drink and said uh I don't know having to look after another kid would be a bit of a challenge.
that's when vee got an idea. what if you adopted a teenager. that's when Gregoria butted in and said with a sarcastic tone it would be nice to be able to have a actual conversation and besides Transylvania had an adoption center.
that's when Mrs hauntley came in I still don't know besides most teenagers are rude during that faze and even if we adopted a monster instead of human it would still be a big change for them if we did

the two adults looked at each other with a sigh

vee still looked excited even if though she knows it's not an automatic yes
later that night
Mr and Mrs hauntley were in their room when Mrs hauntley said are we really gonna consider adopting another child
Mr hauntley looked at her and said well this kid would be able to help out plus we would be able to provide a kid a family that they need.
Mrs hauntley said alright then it's final
the next day
mr and Mrs hauntley were at the adoption center in Transylvania when they got to the front desk where a adult male zombie was sitting at his chair he looked at them with a smile and said hello I'm mark what brings you here today
Mr hauntley spoke up saying yeah we were looking to adopt an older kid
mark said well what age are you looking around for
Mrs hauntley said at least over 12
mark looked at them with a sigh we do have a teenager here but the problem is she doesn't want to be adopted
Mr hauntley looked at him confused why not?
mark started to look upset as he said her past homes weren't very great it has gotten so bad that she doesn't want to be adopted again
Mrs hauntley looked upset but then got an idea what if she gave us a trial like she stays with us for a month then decides on if she wants to stay or be adopted by us
mark smiled that's fine I'll go get her
he walked out of the room while the adults talked
Mr hauntley says do you think she'll let us adopt her
Mrs hauntley says I don't know but hopefully she'll warm up to us
when mark came back out with the girl the adults smiled and Mrs hauntley introduced herself and her husband hello I'm Oxana Hauntley and this is my husband Boris Hauntley it's nice to meet you
the girl said I'm max so mark told me I'm doing some sort of trial run?. they couldn't tell but under her blindfold max was glaring at the two
oxana smiled and said yep and uh max can you see with your blindfold on. max didn't hesitate to reply with a yes. max could see while sometimes it was hard but it was mostly easy
when they got home
to say max was surprised on where they lived was an understatement when they got home Boris called vampirina came downstairs and was extremely happy and Boris said vampirina this is max if everything goes well then she might be your new older sister.
vampirina looked confused what do you mean by if everything goes well?
oxana replied saying well we are doing a trial for a month then max will decide if she wants us to adopt her or not.
that's when demi entered the scene and flew right up to max using a loud voice hi I'm demi. max flinched back a bit but not enough to be noticed. that's when Boris said follow me max I'll show you where your staying.
when they got there max took in her new surroundings it was an average guest room when Boris left max set her suit case on the floor and unpacked a bit and fell asleep wondering how tomorrow will go and why they even wanted to adopted her.
