A short while after leaving their house, Lincoln and his sister Lana made it to Filp's Food and Fuel, a gas station/convenience store owned by resident con man Phillip Phillipini, or better known as Flip.
"Can we get a flippy while we're here?"inquired Lana, who was hankering for the famous drink.
"Later. First we got to negotiate with Flip, and convince him to sell us his old boat. Then we got to get him to drive it to the house without anyone noticing."said Lincoln, motioning for his sister to follow him, as they headed inside.
"What do you want, chief?"inquired Flip, wondering what the customer is inside a store wanted m
"Do you still happen to own that old boat that's out back."said Lana, deciding to cut to the chase.
"Yeah, what about it."said Flip, wondering why these kids were interested in an old boat.
"We'll give you 50 bucks for it, no question asked."said Lincoln as he put 50 dollars on the counter table.
"Why should I sell my precious boat for such little money?"inquired Flip, trying to haggle with Lincoln.
"Well... it is just sitting there doing nothing, and it's pretty much useless to anyone else. Plus, I don't think you want certain authorities to know that you dip your feet in the cheese you use for your nachos."said Lincoln with his cool attitude.
"Hmph...Your a tough one, chief. But you got a deal. I got no use for that old thing anyway."said Flip, taking the 50 dollars and placing them in his pocket, as he said that.
"Now how about another 20 dollars and some of my dad's famous lynnsagna to drive it to our house, and help us put it in the garage."said Lincoln, placing another 20 dollars on the table.
It wasn't that moment that Flip's stomach started rumbling, indicating that he was hungry.
"Eh, you got yourself a deal. I'm surprised. Normally you don't have such a backbone."said Flip, has he put the 20 dollars in his pocket.
"Well I'm assembling a crew to go on the adventure of a lifetime, so I need blackbone."said Lincoln, as no normal individual can take on the Pokemon world.
"Well whatever. Just keep my name out of it if you guys get in trouble."said Flip, as that was his only condition.
"Deal. Now help us load that old boat into your truck."said Lincoln, causing Flip to leave his counter and head outside with Lincoln and Lana.
A couple moments later they digged out the old fishing boat from the garbage pile in the back of the convenience store / gas station. Flip attached it to his truck, and placed it on a tow dolly. Lincoln and Lana then carefully tied rope around the boat so it wouldn't fall off. They than got in the front with Flip, before he drove off back to Franklin Street with the Louds and the boat.
"So what you plan to do with my old boat?"inquired Flip, wondering what two kids plan to do with his boat.
"We're going to turn it into the ultimate adventure vehicle."said Lincoln, who wouldn't go into more details than that.
"So you're playing with your imagination and all that. Well I'm 70 bucks richer so it doesn't matter to me. But this is better not come back and bite me in the butt."said Flip, as he was already in trouble with the authorities over some other issues.
"No problem."said Lana, who didn't believe in ratting people out.
"Good! Now help me unload this vehicle when we get to your house."said Flip, just as he pulled up on 1216 Franklin avenue, better known as the Loud House.
It was then that Lincoln made sure that everyone was still distracted with what they were doing inside..Once he confirmed that they were too distracted to not even notice what was going on outside did he go back to where Lana and Flip were. Lincoln then began helping Flip move the two dolly to the garage. A couple of moments later the small fishing boat was inside the garage, and both Lincoln and Lana through a tarp over it so that no one would notice it.
"Thanks Flip. Lana, can you be a dear and bring our helpful friend some of his reward."said Lincoln, causing Lana to go inside the house, and come out a minute later with a plate of her father's famous lynnsagna.
"Thank. I haven't had a proper meal in forever."said Flip, who ate the plate full of the Italian dish and one go.
He then let out a nasty burp, then farted, before he finally walked away back to his truck and left Franklin Street as fast as his truck would let him.
'Gross.' thought Lincoln to himself, before he and Lana entered the garage and remove the tarp from the boat.
"It's and better condition than I thought. Now it just need some TLC, and this thing will be on airship in no time. What do you need, Lana?"inquired Lincoln, wondering what his sister needed to make this old boat into an airship.
"Hmm...Well I could go to the junkyard and get everything I need. And I can use one of Lisa's batteries to power the thing. Now the only issue is... Yeah... I can have this thing ready in about a week."said Lana, figuring that she had a week to make this thing into an airship.
"Great! In the meantime, let's discuss who we should let on our crew. I'm thinking we need a crew of eight, now the only question who is the six other people we can use and trust to help us get to the pokémon world."said Lincoln, wondering who he should invite on their journey to another world.
"Well Lola's out of the question. She is a tattletale, and will tell Mom and Dad right away that we're up to something."said Lincoln, figuring that Lola was a no-go.
"Mhmm... good point."reluctantly admitted Lana.
"What about Lucy? She can keep a secret."suggested Lana, figuring that her spooky big sister could be a big help.
"Hmm... I'll put her on the maybe list. Now I know I'm going to sound biased, but I think we should include Clyde."said Lincoln, figuring he should bring his best friend on his wild adventure.
"Well Clyde is a good cook, so it would be helpful to have someone who can actually cook really good food on our crew. But do you think he'll agree to it?"said Lana, who was okay with having Clyde on the crew, but wasn't sure if he would agree to it.
"Hmm...well we've always been close. And he is not afraid of adventure. The only question is will he go against his dads, who would never let him go on an adventure like this in a million years. Hmm... what to do."said Lincoln, wondering what should they do.
"I'm sure you'll figure it out."said Lana, who had confidence in Lincoln
"Well what about Lori. She's coming to town with Bobby and Ronnie Anne in a few days. And I think Ronnie Ann is bringing her friend Sid Chang with her."said Lincoln, who remembers Ronnie Anne telling him about this.
"Well you told me that this Sid girl is good with robotics, and she loves animals. So it wouldn't be much of a stretch to get her to help build this airship at a faster rate. And Ronnie Anne is tough, so she'll definitely be a great asset to the crew."said Lana, figuring that Ronnie Anne would make a great asset.
"Yeah! And plus, going on a super fun adventure is totally her style. So she's a definite candidate for the crew. Plus Sid would make a great asset, with her expertise in robotics and animals, she'll not only help make the ship more air ready, but she could potentially help us with the Pokemon we will encounter."said Lincoln, figuring that adding Ronnie Anne and Sid was a good idea.
"What about your friends?"said Lana, referring to Rusty, Stella, Zach, and Liam.
"Hmm... well Zack would definitely want to go to an alien world, but he's with his parents looking for bigfoot somewhere in the Michigan Woods right now. Liam is busy helping his family on the farm, and Rusty is in Reno trying to impress his 'soulmate.' said Lincoln, who was sarcastic on the last part.
"Hmm... what about Bobby. I think having at least one grown person around would be helpful."said Lana, knowing that Bobby would be a great asset.
"Hmm... well he's a definite maybe. He works in his family's mercado all day, so he definitely has the stamina. He's not that smart, but he makes up for it for having a kind heart. The only question is will he agree to it. Hmm...Well, I guess we'll ask the potential candidates when they get here."said Lincoln, figuring he can test out the waters with his potential crew candidates in the next following days.
"Wait. You didn't say what was going up on Stella."said Lana, noticing that Lincoln forgot to mention Stella.
"Your right. Well.. I think she's visiting her grandma. At least that's what she said the other day when I saw her."said Lincoln, although he wasn't sure if he heard that correctly.
"Okay...Oh, what about Lynn. We can definitely use some muscle on the crew."said Lana, figuring that her sporty big sister would be a great asset.
"I think Ronnie Anne makes up enough muscle. Plus, I can't imagine Lynn following orders."said Lincoln, who can never imagine Lynn respecting him as the leader.
"Hmm.. good point."said Lana, quickly agreeing with her brother.
And this was mainly because she still remembers the noogie Lynn gave her the other day.
"Luna is a potential candidate. We both get along with her just fine, and she knows how to get out of a jam."said Lincoln, knowing that his rocker sister has gotten out of more than one bad situation.
"True."said Lana in agreement.
"Leni is definitely another potential candidate. She's kind, and she knows how to treat ouchies... which is a definite benefit of the crew."said Lincoln, knowing they'll get hurt every now and again in a new world.
"Yeah, she's a definite maybe. But will she agree to it?"inquired Lana, wondering if her second oldest sister would even agree to it.
"There is only one way to find out. We have a weekend till the full moon, so while we work on the ship, we recruit our crew."said Lincoln, making Lana look at him with a confused look.
"What does the full moon have to do with this?"inquired Lana, wondering what the full moon had to do with going to the pokémon world.
"I noticed that my necklace particularly radiates during a full moon. So I figured it has to be on the full moon, otherwise the portal won't open."said Lincoln, who pulled out his crystal necklace as he said that.
"Hmm... I guess that makes sense."said Lana, decide not the question it, as magic is confusing.
"For now, let's go to the junkyard and get what you need to fix up this old boat into an airship. In the afternoon, I'll try recruiting Ronnie Anne and Sid to our cause. After all, they'll just happen to be here for a week."said Lincoln, knowing that Bobby, Ronnie Anne, and Sid were staying at the loud house for a week.
And this week's because Lori was on break, Bobby wanted to spend time with her, Ronnie Anne wanted to visit Royal Woods, and Sid wanted to come along.
"You think they'll want to do it?"wondered Lana, wondering if those two would even agree.
"Only one way to find out."said Lincoln with determination on his face.
After all, he only had a week to get his ship and crew ready for their trip to the Pokemon world!
Meanwhile outside, someone appears to be watching what Lincoln and Lana were doing.
"What are those two doing?"inquired the individual in the bush, before they quickly headed back into the house before they could clearly be seen.
So far Clyde, Ronnie Anne, and Sid are leading the poles!
That leaves only three spots left for the crew.
So don't forget to vote away!
That is all!
