Hi! Been a while.
So, it's been… nearly five years since I stopped writing this story? What a long time.
To begin, I would like to start by introducing myself.
I am Paeon Kanetsu… or at least I was. Long ago I went by this username and started to write stories here or there. My time with this account started with some other tales long ago but back in high school, I decided to write a fanfiction based on a silly idea I had for My Hero Academia.
The story was called "Izuku the Summoner" and it was the origin of Izuku the Creator.
The story revolved around Izuku having a quirk made of 'summon cards' that contained fallen heroes from an agency where an older sibling was a part of. It didn't have much in the terms of planning, but it was a starting point.
The biggest issue I faced? The origin of the summons. I didn't like the summon mechanic that I had and worked on it, turning it into a character drawing situation.
And thus, "Izuku the Creator" was born.
And when I wrote this story, I was 17 years old going onto 18 years old. I never wrote before so I fumbled my way through it all. And by the time I reached that chapter where it ended? I was focusing on real life. When I put the story on hiatus, I was 18 going onto 19. And thus wrapped up the story so I could focus on school with the intention of going back.

During college, I started to distance myself from the name Paeon Kanetsu. It was an old nickname that I didn't hold much attachment too. And I had planned to delete everything about the account. …But couldn't.
Because of this story.
It wasn't ready to give it up nor come back to it. Hell, I hadn't written stories for the longest time. But that all changed with a simple discussion with a friend.

Back in May of 2021, nearly 2 years after I stepped away from Paeon Kanetsu, I talked to a friend about writing a Danganronpa story, where they suggested I do an SYOC.
I agreed and went to start it… but hesitated.
Instead of coming back to Paeon Kanetsu, I moved onto a new account and tried to move forward. And I did.
For the past 3, nearly 4 years, I've written stories at my own pace. I've done things at my own pace. Some parts come out within a week to a few days after the first. And some come in months later. Sometimes I go literal months without writing because I wasn't thinking about writing to meet a deadline. I was writing for my own enjoyment.

Throughout the years, this story has been both an honour and a curse.
The legacy from this old story of mine, which a lot of people loved, and a lot of people hated.
And now, I feel like I'm finally ready to come back.

And this is my message to you all. Who stuck with this story and enjoyed what younger me did. Your words and excitement for the story kept me going but life had different plans.
