My third drabble collection, this will be mainly drabbles written for the dw100 community, although there may be others inspired by other challenges. Characters and ratings will vary, both canon and non-canon can be expected, and suggestions are welcome.

Summary: The Doctor makes a new, and rather unusual, friend.

The creature was immense, rising from the sea to tower over the Doctor. It had three long necks, two ending in beaked heads like a snapping turtle's and the third topped by a steadily pulsing silvery blue orb. Below that, encircling the neck, a fringe of tentacles waved about as if sampling the air.

The behemoth peered down at him from small, reddish eyes.

"Hello. I'm the Doctor."

"Hello. I am…" It made a deep, roaring sound, nothing the Doctor could reproduce.

"A pleasure to meet you. Would you mind if I called you Norman?"

"Norman would be quite acceptable."
