Chapter 36: The High School Conflict! (Part 2)
Previously, Class 1-A is in the midst of a battle between themselves and the expelled along with some traitorous students. Now, Kappei, Gumchi, Emma, Archie, Cruz, Jeong, Davis, Vega and Maeve have bursted their way into the gymnasium to confront Coral, now donning some high-tech armoured battlesuit. Oh, they'll fight the Expelled as well. As for the device, they can see the timer which is now 8 minutes.
"Vega. You and I will sneakily get close to the device and deactivate the timer."
"Sounds like a plan Jeong. With your intelligence and my size, we can coordinate and foil her evil scheme without being discovered. Let's move in now, in the way of the shinobi."
For the rest, they're gonna fight her and the other enemies as, "Wait just one second." Kappei took a few steps forth to speak to Coral. "Why are you doing this?"
"To destroy my past, I must send this wretched building into rumble and decimate all those living, working and studying here!" Coral replied.
"Past?" Kappei asked.
"I never enjoyed high school. I was a joke to everyone and I was hated by them all! I will do whatever it takes to destroy this school so that I can bury my past!" Coral declared but also came up with this. "However, I offer you a choice Kappei. Join me, join me and those that want to undergo this reformation. We can start afresh. Rebuild this foundation and make it even better! No more suffering, no more strife, no more rifts, only peace and harmony can we achieve together. Even so, only those with the strongest awakened powers will reign supreme and coexist together. Yes, a school where only those with high ranking awakened powers will be accepted."
"That offer is too good..." Davis thought.
"Kappei..." Emma clung to his arm as, "See that girl? Her only power is to hear various sounds from great distances. Useless if you ask me, just like herself." Coral described her.
"No one...NO ONE CALLS EMMA USELESS!" Kappei shouted. "I don't care about your past but I will stop at nothing to foil your evil plans! You can still walk away and move on without harbouring so much on your past. In fact, I know for sure your power is not real."
This made everyone even the Expelled surprised as, "It seems you chose the other option. So be it, I will give you and your lame friends a quick death." Coral declared.
"Gumchi helpee! Gumchi beatee villainee! Gumchi savee schoolee!" Gumchi also declared as, "Right on little buddy. Let's go!" Kappei declared as he powered up his elemental powers.
Meanwhile...
"My magic is superior to your weak powers!" Dennis declared as he fired magic orbs and bolts. In response, Marcel got the gun muzzles morphed on his fingers and rained suppressive fire as Dennis took cover. "You underestimate us!" He called out.
"Class 1-A has many students with pathetic and useless powers! What can you all do to stop us?!" Dennis asked mockingly when, "FWOOSH!"
"I got you! Shadow Ambush!" Yamikage emerged and jabbed his face. He then kicked him off the second level and he fell crashing onto some expelled members. "Heh. He's got a glassjaw." He described as Marcel gave him the thumbs up.
In the cafeteria, Peggy and her clone army had Miyumi and Midori surrounded. "Thanks to our intense training, we are now an army of 30 clones!" They all spoke together.
"And thanks to my own training, cover your ears Miyumi." She complied and, "Vocal Sonic Blast!" She looked up and screamed to the direction causing all the clones to cover their ears. Miyumi then gave a hand signal and suddenly, Mikelus appeared and, "Plasma Barrage!"
A barrage of plasma bolts bombarded the cafeteria destroying some of the chairs and tables but enough to blast out Peggy and her clones as they crashed onto the second level and the clones disappeared leaving only an unconscious Peggy on the floor. "Area secure." Mikelus declared as he hi-5 the girls.
At the hallway, "Come and catch me baldie!"
"How insulting...but he's too fast for me to hammer down..." Bull thought as Speedster zipped around taunting him. He then zipped away and then, reappeared and, "BAM!"
"AH!" Bull crashed onto a wall as Speedster zipped in to finish him when a portal opened up and he went inside. Another portal opened above and he zipped out, only to realize that, "BAM!"
Ouch, face flat on the floor as Bull got ready. "Wanna hear a joke? Your mama is so fat, she needs cheat codes for Wii Fit! Hammer Slam!" He then slammed his hammers and ended up creating a hole below as Speedster fell through and, "BAM!"
"Way to go Bull! You hammered his fatass down!" Dedrick commended as they hi-5 each other and engaged more Expelled members that just showed up.
In one of the restrooms, "Come out and fight me you midget punk! You can't hide forever!" Lasher searched the cubicles as he stretched his arms to do the searching. As looked around, "BLOOP!"
"Huh?" He looked around and checked one of the cubicles that hasn't been checked. He looked at the toilet bowl and, "Oh damn! Who crapped in there and never flushed?"
"Me!" From above, Joey landed on his head and Lasher ended up getting his entire head dunked into the toilet bowl. "Ha! Ha! Sucks for you to fall into a trap so obvious! Now Avitus!"
Coming out from another cubicle, "Prepare to get torched!" He channeled his blues flames and managed to set off a small blue fireball as, "IOOM!"
The cubicle exploded with Lasher torched and stained with the human waste from the toilet as they laughed at him.
In the auditorium, "I'm gonna put a good show and whip your flesh off your body!" Jannie told Anais and Chantelle as they got ready. Jannie began whipping around as Chantelle fired her ice crystals but she shattered them into pieces. Anais then engaged her with her chain lightning attacks as they whipped out their weapons onto each other.
And then, they got tangled up. "Crap!" Jannie then pulled Anais over and delivered a punch on her face. "KSH!"
"AHHH!" Anais fell off the stage and her lightning chains disappeared. "You're next." She told Chantelle when, "Behind you." She called out smirking. She looked behind and, "Metal Hook Combo!"
"KSH! KSH! KSH!"
From behind, Lucia now coated in metal made her move as she hooked Jannie 3 times and the third time, she sent her flying off the stage as she crashed onto the seats defeated. "Great job Lucia. Now let's aid the others." Chantelle ordered as she went down to help Anais up and the 3 girls left the auditorium.
And finally back at the mall hall, "BAM!"
"This isn't right..." A defeated Kinner groaned as he and his thugs were on the ground defeated and likewise, all the Expelled as the rest of Class 1-A regrouped. "Damn...that fight was tough!" Harry exclaimed as he groaned from the energy fist attacks.
"Anyone bruised or injured? I got you all covered." Ting Ting created several red hearts and healed those that took damage. "Now what? We clean up the mess or something?" Kurt asked.
"Yeah you dumbass." Hank replied.
"Oh shut up and rupture your own balls!" Kurt insulted as they began wrestling each other with Ting Ting and Lucia stopping them.
"Like what Kurt said, we clean up the mess and Harry, call the police and the WNA about this attack." Chantelle ordered as he nodded and whipped his smartphone out.
"What about Kappei and the others?" Yamikage asked.
"They can handle themsevles. Let's go!" Chantelle ordered as all got to work.
Back at the main battle...
Coral fired laser beams from her wrist-mounted laser cannons as Kappei used his lightning power to zip and dash around to avoid the lasers. He fired fireballs but she activated her energy shield and took flight. "I offer you something great and yet you chose to side with your classmates. Shame that I have to waste you."
"You underestimate my power."
"Oh I've studied your moves and you can never defeat me." Coral then opened up shoulder-mounted rocket pods and they each fired 8 rockets. Kappei then summoned a tornado and sent the rockets back but thanks to the shield, no damage is taken.
At the same time, the rest engaged the Expelled as Davis slashed 10 of them with his photon blade, Archie smoked some of them on the eyes irritating them, Cruz kicked them on the nuts while Maeve created her mirror images even shifting her presence into one of them avoiding the attacks.
And then, Cruz used his X-Ray vision on Coral's battlesuit. "Kappei! There are lot of hidden weapons in that suit and if I'm correct, she has a secret weapon hidden too! Careful out there!"
"Thanks for the heads up!" Kappei then jumped up and fire punched her armour and even though her shield is active, it was enough to send her crashing onto the gym floor.
At the same time, the mirror images of Maeve each defeated an Expelled until they were struck and faded off. Davis then slashed down another 10 as Cruz and Archie kneed one Expelled member each and threw them onto the wall defeating them. Gumchi then used his shinai and went haywire whacking 10 of them on the head in a row. "Gumchi Hero-ee!"
"You are, little guy." Maeve told and after the remaining Expelled members are bashed down, she picked Gumchi up and smooched him on the left side of his face. He squealed excitedly as his eyes became hearts. "Pretee girlee..."
Oh yes, back to Kappei as he pinned Coral and delivered aqua punches with his fists covered in water and it was able to damage her suit causing all weapon systems to be inoperable thanks to water. However, she got him off and pressed a button on her belt and her suit is instantly restored as electricity sparked up.
Kappei knew he has to end the battle fast as he can see that the timer on the cubic machine is now 3 minutes. "It is hopeless to defeat me in battle!" Coral called out when Davis jumped up and, "Photon Slash!"
"SHING!"
Half of the armour plating on Coral's battlesuit is sliced off and she crashed onto the wall. Gumchi then jumped in and started thwacking her helmet with his shinai. Furious, "ENOUGH! I will not be bested by the likes of a bunch of interlopers like you! Behold!" Coral took flight while grabbing Gumchi and throwing him aside as the power core on her suit glowed and she got her hands in position. An energy orb is being formed as electric sparks zapped about.
"I think this is the secret weapon..." Cruz thought as Kappei jumped up with his fists on fire and lightning but she anticipated this and activated spikes on her soles and, "KSH!"
"AHHHH!" Kappei felt the spikes slash his body and was kicked down and back. "DIE NOW!" Coral launched the orb and, "VEEOW! IOOM!"
"NOOOOO! KAPPEI!" Emma screamed as the smoke cleared revealing Kappei severely injured. "Ugh...some power..." He tried to use his but the elements once summoned instantly vanished. "No...why can't I..."
"The secret weapon in have in my arsenal is design to nullify your awakened powers!" Coral revealed and laughed as she fired it at the others. "Incoming!" Archie called out as they jumped out of the way. "IOOOOM!"
However, the explosion is large and all are affect by it's AOE. "Crap...I can't summon my photon blade..." Davis groaned.
"I can't even...smoke my...way out of...this!" Archie groaned as Cruz and Maeve tried to stand up but they're too weak to do so.
"Oh right. The attack also paralyses you all. You can't move an inch. Soon, you will all perish with this school." Coral let out a laugh as she fired the secret weapon again on Kappei who was nearly about to stand up as, "IOOOOM!"
Horrified, Emma ran to him as he felt unconscious. "Emma..."
"Come on Kappei! You have to do something! You can't give up so easily!" She begged him as he can only weakly smile at her.
With tears forming in her eyes, "Kappei...I LOVE YOU TOO! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! On the day when you heroically saved me during the Ninjala Tournament a few years ago in the WNA Academy, you're the reason why I feel it. Yes, I fell in love with you at a young age and I always wanted to express my feelings to you. But at that time, I was too shy to do so and we rarely hang out together. And now, this opportunity has finally come to me ever since we met again and you made the first move tonight. So please Kappei...everyone's counting on you...don't end up like this! KAPPEI!"
Suddenly, it happened.
"Don't give up young warrior."
"Unleash your powers to the next level."
"Harness it with new possibilities."
"And unlock the hidden potentials step by step."
This was enough for Kappei to hear it. "Third time already..." And then, "I can still...fight...I can still...SAVE EVERYONE!"
And at that moment, Kappei unleashed his fury as the elemental powers burst out. "WHAT? You're suppose to be paralyzed!" Coral exclaimed.
"I have friends to protect...A TRUE NINJA PROTECTS THOSE THAT HE CARES FOR!" At that moment, Kappei's eyes glowed white and with fire and wind created on his hands, he pulled off a new move that amazed his friends.
"IMPOSSIBLE?! HOW CAN YOU COMBINE FIRE AND WIND?!" Coral panicked in shock as she took flight and readied all available weapons as laser cannons and rocket pods unfurled out in her armoured battlesuit.
"This battle is over...Tempestuous Firestorm!" Kappei fired the combined elements and it directly scorched Coral's battlesuit and blew off all her weapons. The extreme heat fried all her systems as she found herself being unable to control her flight movements as she hit her head on the disco ball by accident.
After that, Kappei combined water and lightning and unleashed it. "Oceanic Shock Cannon!" A blast of water with lightning bolts zapping around it hit her dead centre and she crashed in front of the stage and the disco ball that she collided onto fell directly onto her armour cracking it. "No...I can't...lose..." In an instant, her battlesuit is offline as Kappei staggered towards her with the rest no longer paralyzed joined him. He then got close to Coral and removed the helmet. All gasped at her appearance.
"That's not Coral! It's a middle-aged woman around her 30s or something!" said Archie.
"Wait...what about the cubic machine?" Cruz asked as all looked at the timer. 10 measly seconds!
"Oh crap! We forgot all about it!" Davis panicked as Maeve hugged Archie tightly as the countdown now reaches 5 measly seconds.

4..
3...
2...
1...
Somehow when it reaches one second, it didn't hit zero. "Phew! Finally we did it!" From behind, Jeong emerged and Vega crawled out and morphed to her human form. "Ugh! I can't believe I have to chew 3 red wires!"
This made everyone laugh when, "AH!"
"Kappei!" Emma checked on him and remembered the spike slash attack. There is blood on his clothes and then, a orb of water is formed on his hands and it gently landed on the slash marks and to everyone's surprise, the slash marks disappeared and likewise, the blood. Kappei's eyes then became normal as, "We did it...right guys?"
"Yeah...WE DID IT!" Emma cheered as everyone cheered also with Gumchi jumping for joy. "Alright. Jeong, can you find a way to free everyone out of the machine?" Kappei asked him.
"Leave everything to me and go check on the others." He replied and there is still some work to do. Sheesh...
Aftermath...
It is finally over. Advanced WNA High is safe and all the Expelled are arrested along with 'Coral' and her friends and associates. The machine built is also being taken away. "Man this night was so easy!" A ninja told his companion.
"Yeah! After so long, all the Expelled are finally put behind bars." His companion replied as the ninjas and the police worked together to round up all the bad people and take them away.
Outside the school, Class 1-A watched the scene when Sensei Tatsu, Principal Bingram and Vice-Principal McKenna showed up as they noticed their presence and Kappei approached them as, "You're Kappei are you?" Principal Bingram asked. He nodded at him as, "We owe you for what you did for the school."
"As expected. Your power grew to another level which was a unexpected but also a miracle." Sensei Tatsu added.
"What will happen to those intruders?" Emma asked.
"They'll all be sent to the WNA Prison Facility in Eagle City." Vice-Principal McKenna answered as Principal Bingram placed his hand on Sensei Tatsu's shoulder. "You have a very special class. They have different kinds of awakened powers but they all have the unity to do the impossible."
"Oh...uh, thanks."
"Keep teaching them. And, I'll give you a bonus for this one." Principal Bingram encouraged him with a smile as he and the vice-principal headed back to the gymnasium to reorganize the event.
With that, "Sensei. Can I ask you something." Kappei had Gumchi return him his yearbook and he flipped to the page. "Is she familiar to you?"
He looked at the page for moment. "Yes...we were in the same batch. As far as I remember, Sue Bobbler is a prodigy in the field of science and technology. But her awakened power, Age Manipulation is deemed a joke to the majority of the batch and she was bullied horribly for the entire school journey. Never thought she would do this..." Sensei Tatsu explained.
"So what you're saying is, Sue Bobbler and Coral Grayman are the same person?" Emma asked as all listened to the conversation.
"Exactly." He replied as, "Comparing them. She used to have black hair and wears glasses but then dyed it brown with the red streaks and uses contact lenses to cover up her real identity to infiltrate the school and cook up her master plan. She really dig on bypassing the identity records thanks to her aging powers." Kappei explained.
"Heh. Some detective work you exploited and nailed." Sensei Tatsu exclaimed as he looked at his class. "You never cease to surprise me, my class. I'm proud to have you all and I'll continue my very best to teach you the ways of the shinobi."
Everyone cheered for their teacher and with that, everything is settled. "Okay...let's head back to the dance but first, I need to wear my formal attire." Kappei stated.
"I got this." Dedrick created a portal on the school grounds and from a distance, he created another outside the boy's dorm. "Thanks Dedrick."
"No problem Kap!" He replied as Kappei went through them.
A while later, he emerged wearing a black tuxedo with a blue tie under his tux and black pants and black dressing shoes. He isn't wearing his baseball cap as the whole class stepped aside with Emma approaching him and Dedrick closed up his portals. He too walked to her as they smiled at each other.
"This is it...love is filling the air around them..." Colette thought excitedly as back to them. "So...shall we, my love?" He offered her hand and she took it. "Yes Kappei, let's hit the dance floor. Just you and I."
"Thank you Emma. You and I will shine in love and joy." As they held hands, a warm feeling resonated in both of them as they walked together to the gymnasium. Everyone then cheered for them. Even Sensei Tatsu nodded with a smile. "Kappee! Emmee! Lovelee! Lovelee!" Gumchi cheered as, "C'mon mates! Let's get this homecoming party rockin on!" Davis declared as all cheered and headed back inside.
It now cuts to the gymnasium as all trapped from just now are back as dancing and partying took place. Even the disco ball is operational and Anais is even back at the DJ station spinning records and on the dance floor, Archie and Maeve are dancing together and at the refreshment area. "Say Vega...wanna dance?"
"Ah fine then Davis." They hit the dance floor and speaking of which, Kappei and Emma are having fun as they first, went to the photo booth for some homecoming pictures followed by a toast with their cups of fruit punch as they had a few drinks and even sampled the chocolate fountain by dipping cookies and oatmeal bars in it and munching on. Even so, Gumchi was too playful and silly enough to dive into the chocolate fountain and swim around while drinking the chocolate.
And now, it's time for the homecoming announcement of the King and Queen.
The result? Kappei and Emma won the Homecoming King and Queen!
Everyone cheered for them as they're called on stage and when they arrived, a student council member crowned them with a crown and a tiara.
Once done, "Now to end this night, may we have the Homecoming King and Queen to present us a formal dance." Principal Bingram announced as they went to the center as Anais got the song ready for them.

On the dance floor, Kappei and Emma danced slow and graceful as they smiled at each other with love. Everyone cheered for them and also began pairing up for the dance. That's right, boys and girls.
"Are you having a great time my love?" Kappei asked.
"I do. I will cherish these moments between us." Emma replied.
"Heh. Never thought the day would come when I get to waltz with my one, true love. Now officially my cute girlfriend." Kappei stated.
"And I never thought the day would come when I get to finally be with the one that I loved so much in my heart. Now officially my heroic boyfriend." Emma also stated.
"Oh yeah. You're so ravishing in that dress." Kappei complimented her.
"Why thank you handsome. You look like a gentleman in that sleek, tux." Emma thanked and complimented him.
As they continued dancing together, they began to feel it. Yes, their faces moved closer...
And closer...
And closer...
And even closer...
...

At last, they felt it.
Their first kiss which is warm, sweet and romantic has sparked out a strong feeling that resonated between them. From friendship to relationship, they are official. A couple of seconds later, they separate with bright smiles on their faces as they waltzed some more with their foreheads resting onto each other.
"I love you Emma."
"I love you too Kappei."
They kissed again and this time, it was a heavy one with their tongues intertwining with each other and they embraced each other tightly. That's called french kissing and, "CLICK!"
"KISSEE! KISSEE!" A happy Gumchi got a picture of them and posted it through his smartphone. Hashtag Kapma is official. (Lol. This is the ship name for Kappei X Emma) And with that, Freshman Year is concluded for them.

The First Year Arc is complete! Kappei and Emma are officially a couple and even so, won the Homecoming King and Queen!
Now here are some more info for the story.
The First Year Arc is based on the 2005 movie, Sky High.
Awakened Powers are inspired by quirks from My Hero Academia, Devil Fruits from One Piece and the mutant powers from X-Men.
The Advanced WNA High is inspired and based on UA High in MHA and the Advanced Nurturing High School in Classroom of the Elite.
So with that, I can get started on the Second Year Arc. And it begins with Summer Vacation! If you like, I'll spoil you this.
The first 7 chapters are what I have decided to label as, 'Shipping Week'. Yes, now that Kappei and Emma are dating, this is where the fun begins!
Character of the Chapter
Name: Sue Bobbler aka Coral Grayman
Profile
The Main Antagonist for the First Year Arc. In the past, Sue Bobbler was a student in Advanced WNA High. Her awakened power was ranked legendary but it was deemed a joke by a lot of students in her batch because it lacks offensive or defensive capabilites. As a result, she was a main target for school bullying for her entire school journey. She suffered so much that no matter how much she tells the authorities and they deal with them, it was never enough and she went through worse bullying scenarios. When she needs comfort, she turns to her science and technology for she's a prodigy in this field of study even being a member of the Technology Club.
After enduring the merciless suffering, she finally graduated but it was never a happy ending and finally, her mind snapped. Vowing revenge against the school for not doing anything for her, she engineered her master plan by spending the next couple of years planning and working on some new tech to aid in her master plan.
A year before Kappei, Emma and their batchmates get enrolled, she finally completed all necessary preparations and enrolled in the school again. Using her powers, she turned young and adopted a new identity going by, 'Coral Grayman' and also dyes her hair brown with red streaks, discards her glasses over contact lenses and wears skin-coloured gloves with hidden electronics that allows her to manipulate technology in the guise of her real 'awakened power'. With that, she was able to enroll herself in the school and make some new friends in which they soon became her followers even supporting her master plan.
On the year when the new batch of freshmen are enrolled, she befriended Kappei even hoping to use him and his power to support her master plan which then was initiated during the homecoming dance but instead, Kappei now having gone stronger and seeing her true colours defeated her causing her to age back to her true form and subsequently was arrested along with all those that followed her.
Awakened Power: Age Manipulation
This is her real power. By making herself look younger or older, she can disguise her and escape from her enemies. Being ranked legendary is one thing but being bullied because her power does not do much is the reason for her, falling out to the darker path.
