Chapter 1: A Fire-raising Welcome

In a desolate wasteland where there is no sign of life or even nature, a portal suddenly materialized in the sky as a blue comet shot out of it and crashed into the ground, forming a crater before disappearing afterwards. A figure stepped out from the smoking crater, revealing to be none other than Naruto with Kurama sitting atop his shoulder with his tails wrapped around his neck like a scarf. The duo looked around, frowning a bit at the scenery of the place.

"Ugh, this is the Netherworld alright. Barely taking more than ten steps and we can see how depressing this place is," said Naruto with a frown, having gone through Sage training had him very appreciative of nature so being in this place doesn't feel right with him.

"Tell me about it, I don't even need my Negative Sensor to tell me that this place is soaked in it," Kurama muttered in agreement, then he looked at Naruto "Speaking of which, you might want to take a look at yourself,"

"Huh?"

Naruto formed a shadow clone and saw what the fox meant, his body had gotten taller and developed a bit of muscles but not bulky, akin to that of a pro swimmer. His hair is still spiky but is no longer blonde, instead is silver with his whisker marks remaining albeit faded to the point that one needs to really focus in order to see.

"Whoa, is this really me?" asked Naruto.

"I was thinking the same thing, boss," the clone replied.

"And it's pretty much clashing with your jumpsuit which isn't that much of an eyesore compared to your first one," Kurama commented.

Naruto rolled his eyes "Oh shove it, I'll change eventually. Just need to figure what else has changed with the two of us,"

No sooner had he said those words that two screens which displayed portraits of themselves as well as information appeared before them from which they began to read.

Dark Clutch: Grapples a single target with an arm construct of demonic energy and pulls towards the user, inflicting stun for a short time.

Angel's Judgement: Calls forth a pillar of holy power from the heavens down upon the target.

Wild Whirl: the user spins like a top with all nine tails stretched out and enlarged, striking all surrounding enemies.

Predatory Strikes: increments in ATK, SPD and HIT. increases further when fighting unarmed.

There was also a bit of a help menu for them to get some understanding about what their status details bit by bit to avoid getting confused, but it's not exactly giving the necessary information that they need at the moment.

"Evility also known as 'Evil Ability' known to be passive abilities automatically activate under certain circumstances. There are certain Evilities which are classified to be unique to particular characters and more common Evilities can be obtained from defeated enemies and even be bought. As for the Overload, it is a powerful which can only be accessed when in Revenge Mode…as if I need something remind me of the teme," Naruto groaned at the end of the sentence as he read.

"You just can't seem to catch a break from the Uchiha, but what I don't get is why my class isn't identified?" said Kurama with a quirked eyebrow.

Naruto was about to reply when both of them sensed negative signatures heading their way and soon heard the sound of wings, causing them to look up and see a group of demonic creatures descending towards them.

"Might as well put our conversation on hold, we've got company," said Naruto.

"And I doubt they're coming here to give us a tour around the place," said Kurama.

They took note of their appearance being humanoid beings with batlike wings, horns and red skin, their hairs are styled into mohawks and are wearing white loincloths around their waists. Naruto and Kurama saw a popup screen over their heads, identifying them as Imps and their levels range between 48 to 63.

"What do we have here? A guy with poor fashion sense and a furball," said one of the imps.

"Seriously, I'm barely here for more than a day and I'm having demons taking jabs at my clothes," Naruto muttered with a frown.

"We'll see who's a furball once I'm through with them," Kurama growled in anger.

"Alright then, here's how things are gonna go down; you hand over all of your HL, valuables and anything you might have picked from that crater over there. Do that and we might consider letting you go unscathed," said one of the imps.

"HL? Sounds like it could be the currency of the world," thought Naruto before speaking up "Sorry guys but I don't really have anything of value on me,"

"Then you're of no use to us alive," the imps surrounded the duo with evil smiles on their faces.

"Same could be said for you guys," Naruto brandished his Six Paths Shakujo while Kurama hopped off his shoulder to the ground and growled intensely "Pretty sure we could get more info once we leave one of you at the edge of your life,"

"Tough words for a brat and a mutt," an imp retorted.

"Did you just call me a mutt? That's it, you're all dead demons walking!" said Kurama angrily.

Music Start: Asura's Wrath OST; Gohma

The imps swooped at the duo from the sky to pounce at them, Naruto and Kurama immediately took evasive action to avoid getting hit. Naruto took notice that his body was performing differently compared to before when he was at the peak condition in the Elemental Nations.

"My body feels so much stronger and faster, and I sense two energies besides my chakra coursing through my body, ready to answer to my call," thought Naruto, he sensed something heading his way and cartwheeled sideways right as a large rock crashed into where he once stood.

The former blonde ninja glanced around to see some of the imps flinging rocks in his direction, he shortened his staff to the length of a shortstaff and proceeded to kick and smash the incoming stone projectiles.

One of the imps was rapidly swooping in from behind with both legs out for a double kick "Diving Booty Jump!" he was mere inches from making contact when Naruto suddenly spun around and blocked the kick with his staff much to the demon's shock "What!? How could you have known!?"

Naruto sneered as his body began to radiate a dark aura "Because I was expecting one of you to do so, it's a typical strategy to attack a distracted opponent from their blindspot. I should know since I do it a lot. By the way; Demonic Howl!" Naruto opened his mouth to unleash a powerful roar which sent the imp skipping along the ground like a stone across a river and laid in a crater unmoving.

"He took one of us out with just a roar? Just what kind of demon is he?" said one of the imps in disbelief.

"I don't know, but we gotta-hurk!" whatever the imp was about to say was interrupted due to a long furry tail wrapped around its throat with the originator being Kurama who was sitting atop the body of another imp with a bored look in his eyes.

"I'd rather you'd worry about other things…like me," said Kurama, he pulled the imp over to him and proceeded to slam it around against the ground repeatedly like a ragdoll before tossing it into the air "Roaring Cannon!" he opened his mouth to gather energy before firing a powerful beam to completely eradicate the airborne imp, leaving behind hardly a trace. Kurama's ear twitched before turning to see an imp swooping towards him with arms shrouded in demonic energy.

"Dark Fist Volley!" several imps decided to gang up on Naruto whilst using the same technique, the former blonde ninja rapidly alternated between them as he blocked their incoming attacks with his staff before creating some distance with a backflip before he performed one of his newly acquired techniques "Dark Clutch!" he thrust an arm forward to launch a dark ethereal arm to grab one of the imps before they could attempt to dodge then he pull it towards and waited with the staff raised above his head until it was close enough for him to slam its head powerfully into the ground and forming a crater afterwards.

Naruto thrust his hands at the next imp which quickly flew high into the air "Just need to get out of his range of that and-huh?" the imp noticed that instead of demonic energy, it was rather celestial energy gathering in the palm of the enemy's hand "How can h-,"

"Divine Light!" Naruto took aim and fired a ray of holy light, piercing a hole through the imp's chest with its eyes wide in disbelief as it crashed to the ground.

"This can't be happening, I gotta get out of here!" the last of the gang attempted to escape but then noticed a shadow looming above its head and looked up only to be terrified upon seeing a giant paw coming down towards it and ended up being swatted to the ground like a fly, leaving it too damaged to move.

"Nice move, Kurama. Kinda similar to Chouji's clan techniques," Naruto complimented, approaching the downed imp.

Kurama's paw was reverting to its normal with the fox shrugging in response "It's nothing much, like the name though; Paw of the Beast King,"

"Of course you would like it, strokes your already giant ego which has been compressed to your size," Naruto rolled his eyes before looking down at the frightened imp.

"How can you use both angelic and demonic powers?" asked the imp painfully.

Naruto quirked an eyebrow in response "I don't think you're in the position to be asking us questions here, it's rather the other way around,"

"Please…spare me, we already had to struggle for our lives with the Lost Army trying and succeeding in controlling everything they can get their hands on,"

"The Lost Army, who are they?" asked Kurama, looking a slightly bit curious.

"You're not serious, are you?" asked the imp in disbelief "With the two of you as strong as you are, you would know of them especially if they've been trying to recruit you,"

"Let's just say that we're new in the neighborhood and leave it at that," said Naruto with a shrug "So who are these guys?"

"The Lost army are a military organization led by the Demon Emperor Void Dark with the main goal of destroying and conquering entire netherworlds out there. And from what I heard from the rumors, the army is made of members who are victims and are forced to join them or be destroyed should they refuse," the imp explained.

Naruto and Kurama looked at each other with frowns on their face, no doubt seeing this to be one of the problems which the gods of his world were talking about. Apparently, this Void Dark guy is doing the same thing Overlord Baal is doing and they need to stop the former before any more Netherworlds get attacked and prevent potential victims from being forced to do what they wouldn't like.

"So, where's their base of operations?" asked Naruto.

"I don't know, I didn't even want to since we were trying to stay out of their radar,"

"So, we're just gonna to look for them or do things to grab their attention to the point that they can't ignore us," said Kurama.

"Time to look for trouble or become too troublesome to be ignored," Naruto stood up with a smirk, his prankster side of him rearing its head.

"So, are you two gonna let me go?" asked the imp with a trace of hope in his voice.

"Sure, but on one condition," the imp started to sweat the moment he saw the evil grins on their faces as Naruto spoke "Just hand over everything of value which obviously includes money and we might let you go,"

"Wha-? B-But…,"

"That's the deal, take it or leave it," said Kurama with a shrug.

Being given little choice and the desire to live being the stronger factor, the imp handed over everything that him and his former gang members robbed from others to Naruto and Kurama with the latter giving the demon a look that clearly said 'Don't try anything funny or else…'

"Hmm, this amount will definitely help us out along the way," said Naruto as he looked inside the bag containing golden coins before putting it away for now in one of the storage scrolls.

"Now that we have identified the major enemy of this world, what's the plan?" asked Kurama.

"Let's get a lay of the land for now, considering that this world is kinda acting like one of those video games. Let's explore the place to find any member of the Lost Army to obtain information about anything important whilst gaining experience and leveling up,"

Kurama smirked "Get stronger by proving who's the more dominant one, I can get behind that,"

"Not everyone, remember they were forced to join this army. Obviously, we could tell thanks to our shared ability to sense dark intents," Naruto pointed out sternly.

"I know, I know, just checking if you were paying attention,"

"Hmph,"

Naruto and Kurama set out to look for anyone who is affiliated with the Lost Army in order to learn more about them and this Emperor Void Dark. Thanks to the map which they have gotten amongst the other things from the imp, they were able to learn just where they are which is Blood Parch where plant absorbs blood from the soil in order to grow much to their distaste. Naruto and Kurama encountered many demons along the way and defeated them, gaining EXP and leveling up every now and then thought it isn't that much due already being at high levels, also they're adjusting to their new bodies with every battle.

Kurama reckoned the reason to be that the levels are reflecting everything that they went through back in the Elemental Nations so their combined Level is basically 500 which was split in halves now that they separate, the fox grumbled a bit about not being higher. They were snapped out of their thoughts upon hearing someone call out to them.

"Hold it right there!"

The duo turned to see a group of demons comprising of the Imps and Orcs which they met many, but there were new additions to this group which they identified to be a Ranger, Warrior, Clergy and Gunner with their levels ranging between 87 to 95.

"You're trespassing on the territory of the Lost Army!" one of the orcs declared, pointing its mace at the two.

"That means you guys are with the Lost Army, we've been looking for you guys!" said Naruto with a smile.

"Oh, so you're looking to join us? Keep in mind that it requires a fee to do so," said an imp with greed in his voice.

Kurama scoffed in response "Like we want to join to work for a tyrant, the very thought makes me sick,"

"We're looking for information about Dark Void, you can tell of your own will…or we make you do so," said Naruto, holding out his Six Paths Shakujo.

The ranger adjusted his glasses with a sigh "I find rather foolhardy that you wish to face the entirety of the Lost Army and Emperor Dark Void, just like the resistance," he took out his bow and nocked an arrow "We shall make you see how useless such an endeavor is in the eyes of our lord,"

Naruto shook his head sadly, having sensed that some of them aren't doing this of their own will whilst Kurama smirked "Glad to hear that you want to fight, could use some actual warmup unlike the ones before you,"

"The feeling's mutual doggie, let's get this show on the road," said the gunner, twirling a revolver in his hand.

The fox growled in anger "I'm going to make you regret calling me that,"

Music Start: Dragon Ball FighterZ OST; West City (Destroyed) Stage

"You shall be destroyed for opposing our master!" an orc proclaimed as it charged at Naruto and attacked with its mace, Naruto darted left and right to avoid the incoming attacks before moving to the side and using the crescent part of his staff to pin the mace to the ground before knocking the orc away with a kick to the face.

He made to pursue when he heard a metallic click and looked to see the Gunner pointing that strange L-Shaped weapon at him, the gunner pulled the trigger and there was a loud bang. Instincts screamed at Naruto move which he did by diving to the side right as something whizzed past where he once stood.

"Seems like he fired something at highspeed, it reminds me of those senbon launchers which Shizune used to use back when I met her or the Kunai Launcher by those Sky Ninjas. But this one's small enough to hold with one hand and shoots faster, Tenten would kill to get one of these," thought Naruto, something caught the corner of his eye before sharply jumping high into the air as an Imp swooped underneath him "Dark Clutch!" he launched an arm of darkness to grab the imp and pull him in then slammed the demon to the ground with an axe kick and landing afterwards "Need to take care of the Gunner before he becomes a real problem,"

With Kurama, he was dealing with the ranger and the orcs that were ganging up on the fox but he remained unfazed as he weaved in and out of their incoming attacks then lashing out with his claws and tails to damage them. Kurama channeled his energy to increase his size to that of a wolf, an ability that he discovered during one of the previous battles "Wild Whirlwind!" Kurama extended his nine tails as well as enlarged them whilst spinning like a top, striking all surrounding enemies and knocking them away from him.

"Mega Heal!" Kurama's ears perked up and he looked to see the clergy using a skill to heal the ones he had fought earlier. He was about to approach the clergy but quickly wrapped himself within his tails to defend against a volley of arrows which had been fired by the ranger and the warrior stood in defense of the clergy as she continued to heal the others.

"As long as that clergy is active, the battle will start getting annoying real fast so I'll end it just as fast before it gets to that," Kurama concentrated on his energy before calling out "Predatory Strikes!" he felt his body attain a temporary boost before dashing at the enemies that moved to oppose him. The ranger rapidly fired a barrage of arrows which Kurama batted aside with multiple lashes of his tails, the warrior leapt high into the air before descending towards the fox with his sword raised to cleave him in half. Kurama quickly intercepted by using some of his tails to stop the sword by grabbing the warrior's wrists and holding it at bay.

The ranger quickly positioned himself at the fox's blindspot and was ready to fire when he noticed something off, some of the enemy's tails are staked into the ground and yet why has he-

*BOOM*

The ground at his feet suddenly burst open as something shot out and wrapped around his neck, revealing to be the aforementioned tails which had actually burrowed underground in his direction. Kurama tossed both the warrior and the ranger into the air to slam into each other in midair "Roaring Cannon!" then he followed up by opened his mouth to fire a powerful energy beam which had been further enhanced by his earlier buff which engulfed the two, leaving their charred unconscious bodies crashing to the ground. Kurama turned to the now frightened clergy and grumbled "To think that being with the brat would make me actually start being self-conscious about all this," he launched another Roaring Cannon to knock out the clergy with lesser power output compared to before.

Back with Naruto, he was still dealing with the remaining orcs and imps whilst having to watch out for the gunner who was really becoming a pain in the neck. Firing at him from his blindspots or when he was being distracted by the other attacks.

"Alright, enough is enough!" Naruto suddenly moved in a blur and repositioned himself at where his enemies are within his range "Demonic Howl!" he unleashed a mighty roar empowered with demonic energy which damaged his targets and they were covered in black auras which meant that their Speed and Defensive power had been reduced "And now, Claws of Nightmare!" he latched the shakujo to his back before dashing swiftly towards the gunner all the while cutting down the orcs and imps in his ways with his lengthened claws enshrouded in demonic energy before lunging at his main target and delivering a powerful cross slash which sliced through the gunner's firearms and at the same time dealt critical damage, knocking him down to the ground but Naruto made no move to finish him off.

"Well darn, ya got us good. Guess I shouldn't be surprised since ya'll are with the Resistance, no doubt here to join Red Magnus," said the gunner, groaning in pain.

"I see, besides that; who else is leading the Lost Army aside from Void Dark?" asked Naruto while crossing his arms.

"Well, being a lackey in the army doesn't exactly mean ya know everything besides the basics. What I can tell ya though is that Void Dark has two Demon Generals working under him. The first of them is called Majorita but she's known for the title 'Witch Who Controls Death'. That gal's wicked with a capital W if you get what I mean," said the gunner.

"I see, so who's the second general?"

"That one, I'm not so sure of. Been hearing about him only through rumors, I hear the guy's called Bloodis and from what I heard, they say he's the strongest second to Void Dark himself. I found it hard to believe myself but then again the guy's a general for a good reason,"

"I see, guess it would be too much to ask where your base is?" asked Naruto.

Gunner shrugged in response "You can say that, we get sent to places and summoned back against our will so I doubt I can be of help here,"

"Well, thanks for the info. It will definitely come in handy," said Naruto before knocking out the gunner with a quick chop to the neck "Guess you heard it all,"

"Yup," Kurama shrunk back down and climbed back up to the former blonde's shoulder "We need to deal with three demons in order to collapse the army completely or they're just gonna keep recruiting more demons and being major pains in the ass,"

"True that, let's try to find someone higher up in the food chain around here for more relevant info. Obviously, we won't be getting much from the lower ranks,"

"And if we don't get any?" asked Kurama.

"Then we find our way out of this place, plus that gunner spoke of someone called Red Magnus and this resistance around here. Won't hurt to check it out," Naruto pointed out.

"If you say so, wake up me up when you find something more interesting," Kurama snorted before curling up to sleep.

Mentally rolling his eyes at the fox's constant shifting between battle hungry to lazy, Naruto resumed his trek through the place whilst keeping an eye out for more of the members of the Lost Army. Eventually, he came across some of them…just not the way he was expecting.

"Hey Kurama, wake up," Naruto poked at the fox with a finger, rousing him from his sleep.

"…what is it?" Kurama noticed Naruto pointing at something and looked to see what it is "Interesting…looks like we aren't the only ones here…,"

The reason for Kurama's statement would be because of the many bodies of demons strewn about around them, no doubt evidence of a battle having occurred here and they weren't the cause of it either.

"One look at all this tells me that it was a rather one-sided fight…," Naruto closed his eyes sensed a few strong presences close by "And the cause of it isn't far from here," he pointed over to the edge of a cliff.

"Then let's have a looksee,"

Naruto walked over to the cliff's edge and looked down to see three demons standing amongst the bodies of the defeated demons of the Lost Army, he carefully observed each of the three demons to see what he could make of them.

The first is a blue-haired male demon with a slender body build, he wears an open long-sleeved blue jacket with white puffed up fur collar and red accents along with matching pants, there's also a black choker around his neck and two winglike capes attached to his upper back, and a pair of black boots. Naruto took note of his posture being of a laidback person with something hidden behind such a persona.

The second one is a female demon with long pink hair which is adorned with a small red crown as well as several black butterfly clips. Her attire consists of a white top which opened at the bottom to expose her navel, a black neck wrap, and a short-frilled skirt. She also has a band fastened over her right leg and a pair of dark heels. She also has golden bracelets on both her hands.

The last one is a tall muscular man with fiery red hair, a horn on his forehead and brown skin, he's bare-chested save for a large beaded necklace, red-and-black pants, and a pair of bronze greaves. Naruto couldn't help but think of this guy as musclehead considering that he was currently flexing his muscles with a wide grin.

"I'm guessing that guy over there is Red Magnus, don't know about the other two," said Naruto thoughtfully.

"For some weird reason, he reminds me of that human with the freaky eyebrows," said Kurama with a frown.

"Now that you mention it, he does give the same vibes as Gai-sensei,"

"So, what happens now?"

Naruto hummed for a moment "How about I go down there first and learn more about them while you hang back and watch?"

Kurama quirked an eyebrow before shrugging in response "Go ahead, but try to give me a good show to watch,"

"You're making it sound like there's going to be a fight,"

"…with you, anything's possible,"

"Ugh…,"

Naruto leapt off the ledge and skidded along the cliffwall before jumping to land on the ground with a thud, which easily caught the attention of the three demons and got them to focus on him.

"Whoa there, no need to get hostile. I'm not with the Lost Army!" Naruto waved his hands in a placating manner.

"Then who are you and why are you here?" asked the female demon.

"The name's Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze, I'm here looking for anything relating to the Lost Army, particularly Void Dark and the demon generals. Looking around, I'm guessing that you're also looking for them but not having any luck like me," said Naruto.

"You are super right about that one, young one. But the Red Magnus suspects that there's another reason that you came all this way to find us, isn't there?" said the red-haired Oni.

Naruto nodded reluctantly "Yeah…I actually wanted to have a short spar and see how strong you guys are," he could feel the look of smugness from Kurama who was watching from the top of the cliff at being right.

The female demon started to laugh loudly "Hahahahaha! There's no way you could even stand a chance against Killia the vassal of I; Seraphina-sama! You're nothing compared to him!"

"…," Killia made no sound but continued to stare at Naruto silently with the former blonde looking rather annoyed.

"Wahahaha! Red Magnus likes your spirit; therefore he shall make it point to lay the super beatdown on you!" said Red Magnus happily.

Killia looked at Naruto before moving to a fighting stance and finally spoke in a serious tone "…exercise caution, don't assume him to be a regular demon,"

Seraphina looked at Killia in confusion "What are you talking about?" she pointed at Naruto "He doesn't look anywhere near as strong as you,"

At this point, numerous ticks formed on Naruto's head as all this was reminding him of when Sakura and Sasuke looked down on him, hardly giving him any form of respect in the beginning until much later.

"Even in another world, I'm being underestimated. Well that changes, starting now!" Naruto raised a foot into the air before bringing it down to the ground, causing a small quake and knocking large rocks into the air which he proceeded to kick towards the demons who jumped out of the way.

"Hey, what's the big idea?!" said Seraphina in annoyance.

"That would be because you made him angry," Killia pointed out.

"Me, what did I do?"

Red Magnus laughed at this "Gahahaha, Red Magnus admires such eager youth! Let us begin!"

Naruto dashed forward whilst spinning his shakujo with one, keeping eyes on the trio and taking note that Seraphina unholstered a pair of pistols as she took aim and proceeded to fire at him. Naruto quickly moved the shakujo in front of himself and twirled it rapidly to deflect the incoming bullets whilst keeping his senses open which was a good thing as he detected Red Magnus rapidly closing in with an axe in hand to attack.

"Demonic Howl!" Naruto unleashed a loud roar to unleash a radial shockwave which knocked Red Magnus back and disrupted Seraphina's assault, he quickly turned to the side to block a punch by Killia with his shakujo as the blue-haired demon followed up with a barrage of punches and kicks, forcing the former blonde ninja into a defensive position.

"As much as I like using the shakujo that grampa sage gave to me, I really need to get more weapons besides it. These fights are really pointing out that I need to work on my arsenal," thought Naruto as he continued to defend himself before leaping into the air to avoid an axe swing from behind by Red Magnus.

"Be more careful, you almost hit me," said Killia in annoyance.

"Not to worry, the Red Magnus doesn't make such mistakes!" said Red Magnus.

In the air, Naruto got ready to descend for an attack when something caught his eye and saw Seraphina taking aim at him with her guns and a smug look on her face, making him realize that he was forced into this position.

"There's no escape from me now!" she fired her guns with the bullets rapidly closing in on him.

Naruto's eyes narrowed in focus as demonic energy through his body to his feet to conjure a red circular glyph which acted as a temporary platform for him to kick off of away from the incoming bullets and landing safely on the ground "Dark Clutch!" he launched a dark arm towards Seraphina but it got knocked away by Red Magnus who went on to attack Naruto with his axe. Naruto was swiftly evading the swings of the axe but he noticed that each time he successfully dodged an attack, the demonic energy within him would build up and seek release as evident by the red-and-black smoking auras emitting from his hands and growing thicker.

"The Great Red Magnus is truly impressed with your skills, but let us see if you can survive his super Steel Arm Lariat!" Red Magnus reared arm which enlarged to twice his size much to the shock of Naruto as he attacked with it.

"Gotta cancel that out!" Naruto gathered the stored up demonic power to one of his arms which manifested a spectral arm of demonic energy next to it before he launched a punch of his own, clashing with Red Magnus' own attack in the middle.

The clash resulted in an explosion of energy which sent both flying in opposite direction, Naruto gathered himself and unleashed a burst of energy to upright himself with a somersault and landing on the ground with a skid whilst Red Magnus simply crashed to the ground. Naruto turned his focus back on Seraphina and dashed towards her.

The female demon was becoming rather uncomfortable by how this strange demon keeps targeting her "S-Stay away from me, Two-Handed Draw!" she unleashed a bulletstorm via alternating postures with her guns. Naruto was ever ready as this time he called upon his angelic power which had an effect with his dodges making him appear as if he was vanishing into a trail of white energy and leaving behind feathers also made of holy energy then reappearing at the end of the trail.

The Nephilim rapidly closed the gap between them whilst avoiding the bullets till he was close enough to attack with devastating uppercut that propelled the two of them into the air, there he unleashed a combo of punches, kicks and strikes of his shakujo before ending with an axe kick empowered with demonic energy to slam her hard to the ground where she laid unconscious with him landing afterwards.

"Oh ho, it appears that you're actually stronger than what Red Magnus originally thought," said Red Magnus.

"My strength comes from what drives me to fight so hard and refuse to give up no matter what," said Naruto with eyes full of determination.

"Then what exactly is it that drives you to seek out Void Dark, is it revenge?" asked Killia, wondering if that was it like anyone else.

Naruto shook his head at that "Not at all, I dislike what Void Dark is doing and I intend to stop him. This notion of the strong living and the weak dying doesn't sit well with me at all, seen many similar scenarios in the past to not want to see anymore,"

Red Magnus crossed his arms in confusion "The Red Magnus is puzzled and finds it super odd that a strong demon such as yourself has no interest in becoming the most powerful demon throughout the NetherRealms,"

"Power isn't something for one to showoff but to be maintained and properly controlled, only to be used for the right reasons and not to stroke one's own ego, beat down many guys that were doing just that with some changing for the better,"

"I see…," Killia muttered to himself, a bit confused of how this demon wants to face Void Dark simply because he believes that he needs to be stopped.

Red Magnus laughed "The Red Magnus is most impressed with you, how you like to become his super vassal under his command?"

"Nice of you to offer but I can't accept as I'm not really looking to work under someone plus, we just met and I got my own thing going on right now," said Naruto.

"How disappointing, let's us resume the battle! The Red Magnus does need to lay the super smackdown on you and perhaps convince you to join,"

Naruto smirked "I'd like to see you try,"

"Then in that case…Explosive Tiger!" Killia rushed at Naruto and assaulted him with a barrage of rapid punches with Naruto having to respond with his Claws of Nightmares. Both constantly switched between offense and defense before breaking away from each other in a draw for a quick breath.

Naruto then noticed that Red Magnus was nowhere to be seen and quickly used his senses to locate the demon only to look up and see the red Oni having enlarged himself into a giant and coming to land on him with a body slam.

"Here comes the Red Magnus' super Giant Body Slam!" Red Magnus declared as he fell.

Naruto smiled "You remind me of a dear old friend with this move, and I also know how to counter it," he held out an open palm to the side and a spiraling sphere of blue energy was formed before he channeled wind chakra into it, further empowering it "Wind Style: Rasengan!" then he leapt towards Red Magnus and rammed the sphere into his torso.

Contact with the target caused the spiraling sphere to unleash what Killia could best describe as a powerful typhoon which was compressed into a small form before release. Red Magnus could hardly do anything as he as launched back up to the sky whilst spinning wildly before crashing to the ground in his normal size and a burn mark appearing as a spiral on his stomach.

Killia snapped back in to focus to dashed out of the way of an incoming dive kick by Naruto from above with the latter going after the demon in pursuit to engage him in close combat yet again. They constantly exchanged punches and kicks, successfully landing hits on each other.

"Your style of fighting…were you trained under a ninja?" Killia spoke up.

"What makes you ask that?" asked Naruto with a quirked eyebrow.

"Your style of style bears several traits that are similar to that of shinobi, considering that I've seen and faced several that fought the same way as you do,"

"I won't deny that statement but I won't confirm it either. After all, a warrior doesn't reveal everything about himself in the midst of battle,"

"You have a point there, now is the time to be serious," Killia somersaulted backwards his into the air as he channeled the demonic energy into his fists "Hellfire Shot!" he proceeded to thrust his fists forward one after another rapidly as he fired many fireballs towards Naruto, engulfing him in flames before rearing a fist back and punching forward to launch a very large fireball, resulting in a fiery explosion.

Killia watched as the flames died down but there was no sign of the mysterious demon, he hardly had any time to think when the ground at his feet burst open and a fist made contact with his chin, knocking him into the air along with Naruto who held a pal to his chest "Divine Light!" his eyes widened in shock at the words before being blasted to the ground by a ray of holy power.

Naruto landed on the ground and watched silently as Killia struggled to his feet, smarting from being seriously damaged from the holy attack but still willing to continue fighting, Naruto caught sight Killia glancing at Red Magnus and Seraphina for a split second before focusing back on him, causing Naruto to mentally smile in approval.

"How is it that you're capable of using angelic powers in spite of being a demon?" asked Killia, smarting from the pain.

"I'm not going to repeat myself about blurting out my secrets just like that unless I have a death wish plus I'm pretty sure you'll eventually figure what I am out sooner or later," said Naruto with a shrug "All in all, I gotta say that you're pretty strong and I'm glad that I sparred with you all,"

"This fight is not over yet," Killia retook his stance with intentions of continuing.

Naruto simply crossed his arms behind his head with a quirked eyebrow "I won't stop you but keep in mind that your friends are likely to get caught in the crossfire,"

"…,"

"And besides, I know that you three will be much stronger the next time we meet which means we'll have a more interesting battle," said Naruto amiably.

Killia quirked an eyebrow in confusion "You intend to stop a fight which you yourself started?"

"To begin with, this is a spar and I'm not aiming to kill you guys since I have no beef with any of you," Naruto glanced at Seraphina with a small frown "You might want tell her to work on her combat skills, she shouldn't have gotten knocked out from that combo of mine so easily including the fact that I wasn't attacking with its fullest potential. As for the big guy over there, be sure to tell him that he has my respect. Not many could take a hit by a variation of my Rasengan and survive, they make it a point to avoid getting hit the moment they see me use it,"

"Just how strong are you?" asked Killia.

Naruto shrugged in response "Don't know to be honest, but I'm aiming to get a lot stronger if I want to stop Void Dark and his Lost Army. Okay Kurama, it's time to go!"

Killia saw something run past him and was surprised to see a small fox with nine tails and long ears as it jumped up to perch on Naruto's shoulders. He had never seen a fox like it as the normal ones are more humanoid in form.

"See ya when we see ya man, I know we're gonna see each other again," Naruto gave a two-finger salute before walking away.

"…what an odd demon, he's hardly making any sense in what he does and what he is," Killia sighed before looking down at the two unconscious Overlords, a part of him wanted to leave them there and to continue his pursuit of Void Dark, but another part of himself was against it and preferred to help them "…*Sigh*," Killia walked over to check on Red Magnus with the red oni soon waking up with a bleary gaze albeit wincing from the pain originating from the burn mark on his stomach.

"Ugh, where did that jabroni go?" Red Magnus, looking around for Naruto who's long gone.

"He's gone, said he had his fun sparring with us and he wanted me to tell you that he's impressed that you were able to survive that attack of his that knocked you out," said Killia.

Red Magnus puffed his chest proudly "Haha! He should expect no less from the supreme one!" then he winced from the pain "Ow, but Red Magnus must admit that Naru certainly packs a punch,"

Killia rolled his eyes at this and went to carry the still unconscious Seraphina in his arms as he opened the door leading back to her pocket netherworld "Come on, we need to head and rest before coming up with the next move on how to find Void Dark, and I need to talk to you about what that demon did during the fight,"

Elsewhere, Naruto and Kurama were having a conversation about the fight against the three demons.

"The fight was so so and you only used one of your jutsu, why's that?" asked Kurama.

"I don't really want to reveal everything about me since those guys are quite different from the regular demons. Plus, I want to get an edge in the forthcoming battles. You can't prepare for something when you don't know exactly what it is," Naruto pointed out.

The fox smirked at the answer "Spoken just like a shinobi,"

"I know, but I need to work on getting more weapons. As much as I like using the staff, I need to broaden my arsenal to contend against whatever I'll face in the future,"

"I see your point, so where do we go from here?" asked Kurama, Naruto was about to answer when he heard something or rather someone call out to him.

"…Nephalem…come…,"

"Who said that?" asked Naruto, looking around for the source of the voice.

"What is it?" asked Kurama confusedly.

"Someone's calling out to me, didn't you hear?"

"I didn't hear anything,"

"…come…awaken…true...self…," the voice called out once more and this time Naruto's eyes began to glowed and he was seeing a wispy trail in the air, leading to places unknown to him.

"The voice is saying something about awakening my true self and I'm seeing some sort of trail before me," said Naruto with a frown.

Kurama hummed thoughtfully before speaking up "It might have to do with you being a Nephalem, it's meant for only for you and no one else since I don't see or hear anything. I think you should go to where this voice is telling you to go,"

"You sure about this?"

"Considering that the voice is calling to you, I doubt it will leave you alone until you listen to it,"

"…come…Nephalem…," the voice continued to beckon.

"Alright fine, just so I can stop this voice from constantly repeating itself in my head," said Naruto then they proceeded to follow the wispy trail which only he could see to the source and find out what awaits them.

This is Hussbek online with the latest chapter, Naruto and Kurama find themselves in the Netherworld and began to learn how things work around here as well as learning of the Lost Army which is being led by the Overlord Void Dark and his two generals. The duo went on to encounter three unique demons by the names Killia, Seraphina and Red Magnus. For certain reasons, Naruto decided to engage the three in a spar which he was able to win in the end as well as advise them on becoming stronger. Now a mysterious voice calls out to him and the duo decide to head for the source of the voice and learn just why the voice is calling to him.

As you guys would have realized by now, I'm basing the Nephalem powers on the DMC Reboot with additional gimmicks from the main series as well so yes, he'll also be obtaining Devil Arms in addition to Angelic weapons along the way starting with you-know-what but I'll also be bringing in weapons from games and anime as well. Naruto will eventually join Killia and the others but it won't be until much later once he's gotten stronger and likely faced one of the Demon Generals beforehand.
