Kurtz had his head in Abby's lap while he commanded a G&G game. They were in an empty classroom in the high school. They were on top of a teacher's desk. The door opened to see The Farm club coming in. "Um... Excuse us." Evelyn didn't know what to say to the dark teens.

"Sorry to interrupt your game." Kevin tilts his head in a mocking tone.

"You don't sound sorry." Abby kept her hands on Kurtz's shoulders to keep him down.

"It's just this room is reserved for the Farm from 3 to 4 every Wednesday," Evelyn informed them.

"Not every Wednesday, you daughter of Manson. The third Wednesday of every month is reserved for monthly Student Council/LGBTQIA meetings." Cheryl came in from the back door.

"Were you eavesdropping at the door until you found a moment to make a dramatic entrance?" Anna rolled her eyes.

"I didn't see your name on Mrs. Bell's activity calendar." Evelyn points at Cheryl.

"You dare lecture me, your Student Council President on rules and procedures? If this were centuries ago, I'd have you beheaded." She sneers.

"I don't give a fuck about an activity calendar. There are plenty of empty classrooms, go find one, Cheryl. You're the farm club, go outside in nature." Abby was annoyed with them for arguing over something so trivial.

When no one moved, Kurtz got upset. "You bitches heard her, get lost, we're in the middle of a quest here."

"Go crawl back to the freak show from whence you came, you abomination." Cheryl glares. Abby put her hands up. Kurtz took the signal to attack. He jumped up to go after her but Cheryl moved to the side leaving one of the poisons to deal with him. She sat crisscrossed as she watched the chaos happening around her. The Farmies ran out of the room. While the Poison held their own it was hard for them to beat up bigger males who were also familiar with fighting and insane.

Toni and Jughead ran into the room. "Abby, do something," Jughead yelled while they tried to pull the teens apart.

"If the girls want to fight, who am I to stop them?" She shrugged.

"Everyone to the office." Weatherbee came into order. Security came in to break up the fights. Toni and Jughead had to answer for their gangs.

The Gargoyles were walking into the lounge room. "Abigail." She looks to the side to see her brother with his friends.

"I'll be back." She nods to the guys before going over. "Hey."

"We have a homeless kid in the garage." He told her.

"What?" She sat on the arm of the chair he was sitting on.

"Yeah, his name's Ricky. He ran away from a group home and was squatting at the gym. That's how I found him." He was glad Josie was there because he would have handled the situation all wrong.

"Sounds like me, sophomore year," Jughead remembered how scary that was.

"Guys, he has branding on his arm. The same one the Warden gave me when I was in juvie. It says he is a sacrifice." He felt a connection to the kid.

"Is he playing G&G?" Betty asked.

"Everyone is playing G&G, whether you are active in your role or not." Abby tilts her head as she smiles at the blonde making Betty get chills.

"He said that he woke up to guys holding him down while they carved it in his arm." He relayed the story. "You can do something about this, right?" He looks up at his sister

"Matter on how the quest goes. Kurtz!" She yelled for him.

"My Goddess." He ran over.

"Is there a little boy named Ricky being used as a sacrifice in any of our prophecies?" She asks.

"No, I don't allow children to play." He shook his head.

She turned to her brother. "That's a good thing."

"How, you can't stop it?" He raised his eyebrows.

"Because that means it's probably only a group of five guys at the most. If it was us then it would be like ninety-something. I lost count…. My point is that he is easier to protect if he's not playing." She explains.

"What if he is playing?" Veronica asked.

"Well, the only way to get out of being a sacrifice is to give the goddess, which is me, a soul more worthy in your place. The Warden couldn't give me you, so he had to give me his own." She almost slipped when she talked about the goddess being its own thing.

"I hate when people try to give you souls who haven't even gone through trials. Those filthy souls shouldn't touch your essence." Kurtz cracks his neck.

"We have to get to the Serpent meeting." She stood up.

"We don't have to go if you don't want to." He waves for the guys to follow them.

"No, it's a commitment we made." She grabbed the Mountain Dew bottle from Kraken.

They walk into the classroom to see the Serpent already waiting for them. Sweet Pea looks her over to make sure she wasn't harmed. He thought it was painful before to see her with them but now it is worse. He honestly wasn't sure he was glad she told him the truth. At least before, he didn't have to worry about her slipping up and Kurtz going berserk. That was the reason he decided not to tell Fangs.

Once they were seated, Jughead started the meeting. "Alright, Serpents, let's get right to it. Do any of you guys know about the break-in to the Chemistry lab?... Kurtz? What are you smiling about?" He hated the smug smile on the psycho's face.

"Just thinking about how looting the alchemist's lair was one of our more rewarding quests. How could it not be with the Goddess writing it." He and the guys laughed.

"Are you serious?" Jughead yelled at her. "You realize Weatherbee's gunning for us now, right, moron?"

"Don't raise your voice to her. Don't call her any names." Dracula had gotten more protective after drinking her blood.

"You promised us immunity." Kurtz reminds him.

"Not when you go and flagrantly break the law," Jughead growls.

"That's not immunity. And there is no proof it was us, so there is no need for this to even be a discussion." Abby made sure they weren't reckless despite Jughead's promises.

"You're gonna return the equipment." Jughead orders.

"The hell I am." He growls.

"Freakin' Fizzle Rock junkie!" Fangs sneers.

"You wanna go right now?" He jumped off the desk he was sitting on and Fangs met him ready to fight. Sweet Pea stood behind Fangs and Dracula behind Kurtz. "Don't think that we've forgotten about you spying on the Gargoyles. I should have beat you over the head with that branding iron when I had the chance." Kurtz glared.

"Alright! Back down!" Jughead slammed his hands down on the teacher's desk. "Both of you, right now!" Sweet Pea pulled Fangs away. Abby whistled and patted the table she was sitting behind. He took a seat on it. "Whatever bad blood existed between the Serpents and the Gargoyles, it's over! We're all Serpents now. You know, I think it's high time our newer members learned about our laws."

"Is this for real?" He looks back at his goddess. She nods that he was.

"Repeat after me. In unity, there is strength." Jughead shouts.

"In unity, there's strength." The four Serpents yelled.

"I can't hear you, Abby." He needs her to fall in line, so the others would. "You wanna try that again?"

"Jughead, you need to talk to your mom because this is not what we agreed to." Abby stood up to walk toward him. "We agree to be another fraction of the Serpents. I am the leader of that fraction, not you."

"I control the Serpents around here, not her, so an agreement with her means nothing." He challenges.

"Then what agreement do you want?" She tilts her head.

"You follow my rules, or you're not part of the gang." Jughead threatens.

"Juggy, you have no leverage here. Who is going to stay if I walk out that door?" She looks into the crowd when none of the Gargoyle raises their hands, she smiles at Jugs. "You need us. Not the other way around. A gang is not five people. So, if you're rescinding what you promised us, then you better come up with something better to offer. Because I think I have the manpower to throw you out of your gang." The Gargoyle cheers loudly at that.

"Are you trying to take over the drug business or getting them their fix?" He asked.

She sighs, having agreed with Glady to keep Jughead in the dark as long as possible. "What is the Serpent's purpose?"

"What?" He arches an eyebrow.

"I'm just saying, it started to police a neighborhood that the authorities weren't doing their jobs in." She brought up their history. "But, now you have no Southside to protect. That's why your people went to us and the Pretty Poison. We could give them something to hold onto." She circled him. She saw that she was getting to him, making him feel insecure. "Come on, boys. This meeting was pointless." She walks out the door with her crew.

Jughead called them to the bunker. "There's a runaway boy, his name's Ricky. Does anybody recognize him?" He held up a picture. No one said that they did. "Well, he's in trouble, so we're gonna help Archie find him. Break the town into sections and we'll split up the work."

"You want us to go looking for some dumb kid?" Kurtz huffed.

Archie got in his face."Was it your crew that came after him at Pops? Looking to make him a sacrifice?"

Kurtz didn't flinch. He truly believed he was untouchable being protected by the Gargoyle King and Goddess. "No. Dude, we have other business of the chemical kind….But there are others out there. Outliers that broke away when we joined the Serpents."

"You mean, there are Gargoyles out there that are crazier than you?" Fangs couldn't believe it.

"Will you shut up?" Jughead didn't need another fight.

"Do you gentlemen know what this means?" Abby went to the center and took the picture from Jughead. She ignores Fang's snort. "We can catch the abandoners. The ones who thought they were greater than my orders. They don't get to play anymore."

"Is this a quest?" Tadpole asks with hope in his voice.

"Let's call it a mission. We'll make it interesting. Whoever finds them or the boy first can have a one-on-one with me?" At that, the Gargoyle charges out of the bunker.

"Are you crazy?" Sweet Pea grabbed her arm when it was only the Serpents.

"It's fine, they only ask questions about the King or rub my feet. They know not to cross boundaries." She assured him that she would be fine.

"What's going on?" Fangs look between them.

"You didn't tell him." She saw his confusion.

"Tell me what?" He asked.

She looks at Jughead and Archie. "You know us, Abby, you can trust us. I haven't told dad, you're dealing with these serial killers." Archie assured her.

"I'm playing the role of the Goddess to save people. I've been writing quests and doing everything I can to prolong another sacrifice but I'm running out of reasons people are not worthy." She explained the purpose of everything.

"Why wouldn't you tell me this?" Fangs asked Sweet Pea.

"Or me?" Jughead would have liked to know this information.

"Because knowing isn't any better. I went from feeling guilty that I didn't see her mental break coming, which now I know it's because there wasn't any, to being worried that she's going to slip and Kurtz is going to lock her away and make her crazy." Abby felt guilty that she was putting more stress on him.

"I think we're breaking through to most of them. The ones that don't need deep therapy to save them." She wanted him to know the end was coming.

"We?" Jughead wonders.

"At first it was only me, then I was able to add Greg. We have recently brought Kraken in. It's crazy to think that ex-Ghoulies are so helpful." She let out a laugh. "Them going to school and being in the Serpents. They are remembering what it is like to live outside of G&G. There's talk going around, people want to get out but they're scared and don't know where to go."

"They can become real Serpents," Jughead told her.

"They don't believe that the Serpent has what it takes to convince the other Gargoyles, so they are afraid they'll be attacked if they leave. The few that are willing to talk to Greg, say they can't leave something that gives them an income and purpose for something that doesn't have either." She listed what she needed to shrink the G&G numbers.

"I'm working on it." Jughead wanted those things for the Serpents too.

"Can I hug you?" Fangs ask Abby.

"You don't have to ask." She opened up her arms. He picked her up and swung her around.

"We have to get going to find the boy first." Archie didn't want any of them spending one on one time with her.

"Yup, let's go." The rest of them left to join the search party.

Jughead called for a meeting to update them. Only the original Serpents, Abby, and a few Gargoyles showed up. The others were looking for outliers. "We found the kid, but he's still in danger. So is Archie for that matter."

"So, what's the next play?" Sweet Pea asked.

"It's a classic gambit. The hunters become the hunted. Kurtz had said that there are some rogue Goyles. So you two…" He whistles to get the two Gargoyle's attention. "Heckle and Jeckle, start talking. I want the names of those outliers. And I want sentries posted at the Gargoyle lair."

"Jughead! You need to come right now." Toni ran into the room.

"What? Toni?" He snapped.

"Kurtz is about to kill Fangs!" She screams. They ran out of the room to see that Kurtz and Tadpole had him hanging from the banister. "Fangs!"

"What the hell are you doing?" Abby yelled.

"Guys! Guys, help!" Fangs screamed.

"Don't be scared, you dirty Serpent spy. You're about to ascend. And you'll fly, too." Kurtz's voice was filled with excitement.

"Kurtz... don't," Jughead warns.

"Happy landings, worthless snake." He let him go.

"Fangs!" Tears ran down her face.

"No!" Sweet Pea and Jughead ran to catch him. They end up falling to the ground but they were able to save him by turning him upright and cushioning his fall.

"Shit, are you guys okay?" She looks them over.

"I'm good." Fangs sat up groaning.

"No one needs to go to the emergency room?" She looks at Jug and Sweets. They took the brunt of the fall.

"That sees." Sweets groaned as he got up. "I'm good." He nodded when he was able to move everything. He helped Jughead up, who was sore but not harmed.

She pulled them into a group hug making the boys groan. "What the hell are you doing?" Kurtz pushed people out of the way so he could go down the stairs. "You told me, you were ready to give up your human life." He tried to pull her from them.

Sweet Pea shoves him back. "You were going to kill him!"

"I was sending him to the Goddess, it's the greatest honor." He was shaking with rage that Fangs wasn't dead.

"That's not how ascending works and you know it." Abby glares from her place in his arms. "You were going to murder him in front of everyone to get revenge for him spying on you. It was for you, not for me."

"I know this would happen if we join them. That you would let your human emotions get to you. It's time, we leave. Come on." He went to reach for her again but Fangs got in between them.

"She is not going anywhere with you." He glares at the guy who tried to kill him.

"This is your fault." He charged at him.

Greg grabbed him before he could make contact and threw him against the wall. "You made the Goddess cry."

"She's not the goddess right now, she's Abigail. She needs to come with us, so we can make sure the Goddess gains control again." He kept his eyes on her. She digs her fingers into the leather jacket. He had promised that he wouldn't let the human take control. He said he would throw her in a dark room while reading the manual over and over until the Goddess took over.

"You're forgetting your place." Dracula glares at Kurtz. "You don't get to force the Goddess, she leads, not you."

"She's just scared. She won't be able to hold off the Goddess for long," Tadpole told Kurtz.

"You'll come back." He went with Tadpole.

"I'm thinking it's time to leave G&G." Dracula stretches his arms over his head.

"Really?" Jughead was shocked at how bold this guy was in his declaration.

"The game is getting in the way of my dating life. I only started playing because the players really think I'm a vampire. But, if Kurtz not going to listen to Abby then I do not care to be there." He was planning on leaving but he stayed for Abby. She gave a kindness that a lot of the Gargoyles crave. Under her lead, he knew that they would be taken care of.

"She's going to stay with the Serpents." Jughead knew this was one of the top members. Some muscle was always good to have a round.

"Like lead?" He tilts his head.

"Not necessarily lead, but she'll have a large say. We all get a vote in things." He was willing to go to her for advice.

"I'll stick by her. She hasn't steered me wrong yet." He smiled, showcasing his fangs.

Jughead called for a Serpent meeting. He told Abby to make sure that all of the members that were on the fence were there. "What the hell is he doing here?" Kurtz stared at the Sheriff.

"I invited him," Jughead told him.

"Why?" Sweet Pea asked.

"Abby boasted that the Serpents need Gargoyle more than they need us. I disagree. But one thing she said was true. The Serpents are rudderless. We lack identity and focus. We're better and stronger when we're task-focused. That's why with the help of my father, Serpent Emeritus, we've come up with a plan... to deputize the Serpents. To become partners with the Riverdale Sheriff's department." He explained what his chapter of the Serpents would be.

"You'll work for me. Help me with investigations, and be my eyes and ears in the community. In return, you'll get paid, and receive school credit to help you apply to colleges." The Sheriff explained the duties.

"This is about bringing order, ensuring our survival. But this is gonna be a brand-new chapter for the Serpents, and we can't be divided about it. So let's put it to a vote." Jughead knew this was risky, considering most gang members weren't fond of the law.

"If it's not unanimous...there's the damn door." FP glared at Kurtz as he pointed.

"All in favor?" Jughead puts up his hand. The Serpents did too. Sweets clears his throat, reminding the Gargoyles that this could be their way of escaping. They raise their hands. Kurtz looks over at Abby to see her raising her hand too. He got up and slammed the door on his way out.

"Good riddance." Greg looks at the door. A few Gargoyles nod their heads.

"Sweet. Do we get to carry guns?" Sweet Pea claps his hands.

"Absolutely not." FP didn't hesitate to answer.

Greg got up to give Abby a big hug. "I know we didn't get all of them out, but we saved more than half of them."

"All the ex Ghoulies," She smiled at Kraken.

"I was never going to let some insane manic lead me." He made that mistake before with Malachai, who abandoned them when times got hard.

Nancy Woods, one of the few female Gargoyle, came up to hug her. "When you first stopped my ascension I was crushed. But now, I want to thank you." Abby had told Kurtz that her soul wasn't ripe enough. At the time the girl screamed and cried. She tried to charge her, making Kurtz slam her down and kick her in the face. "You forcing us back to the North made me have to see my old flame, Ginger."

"Ginger Lopez?" She was surprised at hearing the vixen that had dated many of the bulldogs was Nancy's love interest.

"I know she pretends to be a superficial mean girl but she is so much more." She was depressed when Ginger refused to go public with her. She was looking for something to lose herself in and that's how she found G&G. "I'm planning on going home today." She hadn't been home since the beginning of summer.

"They're going to be so happy to see you." She squeezed her hands.

The Serpents were cleaning out the Slaughterhouse. Abby was upstairs with Sweet Pea in the office. "So, this is where you were staying? It's much nicer than I thought it was going to be." He looks around the room.

"Yeah, I'm sure a murder board going up somewhere now that it's Jugheads." She took the dream catcher that was hanging above the air mattress she slept on.

Sweet Pea grabs it to throw it on the desk and pushes her down on the mattress. He laid on top of her. "I missed you so much." He kissed her softly.

"I missed you too." She held onto his shoulders.

"You think I can fuck you hard enough to make you deflate this thing." He took off his jacket.

"I don't know how that's going to work." She giggled when he kissed her neck.

"Every time I hit the spot, you crawl at the bedding." He flips up her skirt and slid her panties to the side to have her soak his hand. "You did miss me, we don't need foreplay today." He took himself out of his jeans to slip in.

She moans at the full feeling. "God, I missed you."

"Sounds like you missed my cock." He snickers. He started to move slowly, teasing her.

"Sweet Pea… harder please." She begs.

He rubs her clit while he does as she asked. He knew it had to be a quickie with all the movement downstairs. She digs her heels into his lower back to give herself some leverage to move her hips along with him. She tightened around him, cum quicker than she ever had. "You really missed me." Sweets groan as he follows her in reaching his high.

"Thank you for never losing faith in me and taking care of Tessie." She pulled him down to cuddle.

"You don't have to thank me for that." He was as loyal to her as he was to the Serpents. "Next time include me from the beginning. I promise to remember you're not just my pillow princess."

"I go on top sometimes." She pouts. She was more a taker than a giver in the bedroom but she couldn't help it. When Sweet Pea took control and used her like a rag doll it made her brain melt.

"Don't worry, I meant it as a compliment." He tucked himself back into his jeans. "I have to get back to helping." He knew Jug would come looking for him soon.

She fixed her underwear and skirt to get off of the bed. "I'll help too."

"You should, you're the one that trash it." He teased.
