Story 7: Isekai Restaurant Chapter 4
Disclaimer: I own nothing.
Chapter 4: A Cold Day in Hell.
- Silas -
I slumped down on my couch while Milim sat down with her Cotton Candy next to me.
The mess I caused was thankfully in the Tokyo area rather than anywhere near my home or it would have been much harder to clean up.
Milim apparently had a lot of fun while out so she was not bothered and returned to her handheld console.
Around an hour later, Rimuru and the rest also returned back.
"So, how was your day, Milim, Silas?"
"It was awesome. We ate crepes, ice creams and cotton candies, played games and Silas fought an annoying woman and then we returned home."
"Oh, that sounds amazing… hold on, what was that about Silas fighting?"
"There was this woman who attacked us out of nowhere and I was about to punch her but Silas came in and completely destroyed her in a moment. She was so weak hahahaha."
I didn't even bother to sigh and just slumped more into my seat.
On Rimuru's urge, I explained the situation to him as he sat down beside me.
"Wow, sounds like you all had quite an adventure alright." He sat down beside us and brought out a trophy and Ainz also brought out a trophy of his own.
The first and second prize awards for the cosplay competition.
….
Are you trying to show off, bastard?
"We think this should be kept in the restaurant." Ainz explained, seeing my annoyed look.
"Okay. I will get a showcase for the restaurant."
"I can take care of that." He got up and made one using his Greater Item Creation and put both the awards on the shelves.
Shuna got up with a blush and added a third prize on the shelf too.
"Shuna was awarded one even without entering." Rimuru explained and I gave the girl a smile.
"So, how was the business?"
"Oh, that was a success? We sold twenty five thousand copies of the manga on the first day alone. Apart from those seven thousand copies of the Light Novels were sold. The sales increased when Rimuru, Ainz and Shuna took three top places in the cosplay event and came to see the manga in our shop. According to my calculation, we made a 12 million yen profit in one day alone." Tanya brought out her books and showed us the accounts.
12 million… in a day wow.
"We have two more days. I think you should join us too. Lavinia will be free tomorrow and she can keep a watch on the store. Milim will be playing in Tempest. You will be free to join us."
"Hmm. I think I can help out although, it would be better if I changed how I look."
"We can find a way. But first, we need to prepare for tomorrow. Also, I need to *cough* review *cough* some material before tomorrow."
"Umu and I need to assist him in the reviews." The Slime jumped on Ainz's shoulder.
…they are going to read porn.
- Lavinia -
"Are you taking care of yourself, Va-kun?" She asked Vali.
"Hmph. I will be fine. You should worry about yourself." he snorted. He was such a tsundere sometimes.
"This guy is so rude. Do you want me to beat him up, Lavy?" Brandish asked, scowling.
"Hah? Wanna fight? Bring it. As if I'm afraid of you, little girl?" Vali bristled, releasing his demonic power.
"Who are you calling a little girl, you half pint brat? I am taller than you." Brandish replied, looking bored but her magic power was also flaring.
Thankfully, they were in a Fallen Angel sponsored establishment and magic was common in this place.
"Now now, I told you both. No fighting."
"Hmph."
"Hmph."
Both pouted and faced away from each other.
"You two are already becoming such good friends."
"We're not." They answered at the same time but turned away making even the onlookers laugh.
She made them both sit down as she faced the other two occupants of the table. "So, how is your training going on, Tobi-kun?"
"I-I'm getting used to it. Are you…"
"Hmm?"
"Are you alright in your new home, Lavinia-san?"
"Oh yes. Grandpa August has been out for a while but he will return soon. In the meanwhile, I have fun working for Sil. The guests of the restaurant have been nothing but kind to me. Oh and Sil-kun gives wonderful cuddles." She giggled, making the other two blush.
"Lavinia, there has been some news about the Wizards of Oz. These are the ones who were not in the country during what people are calling the Great Purge. They are looking for the Mysterious Lucifer." They were calling Emperor Zeref as the Mysterious Lucifer so as to keep his identity a secret. It was working too. "There is also some news about the cult of Hagoromo Gitsune stirring and working with them. Do you want to join us?" Natsume offered.
Her eyes stilled for a moment at the mention of the name. "The Wizards of Oz has nothing to do with me now. I have a new home and a new family. I don't want to drag them into any kind of mess due to my own actions."
"The Governor General has offered to assist if you need any help. Please contact us if you ever need help."
"Hmm. Thank you. But we don't want to participate in the matters of the Supernatural World if possible."
"... *sigh* I wish I could do it too. But my Sacred Gear… I need to learn to control it and they are teaching me how to. I… don't want to be helpless anymore." Tobio clenched his fists.
"You are a very brave boy, Tobi-kun. I am sure you will become a very strong man. Please take care of Va-kun. He can be a little impulsive at times."
"I don't need anyone to take care of me." He crossed his arm, pouting.
"We will."
As they were talking, the door to the room opened and Azazel himself walked in.
"Oh, Lavinia. How rare of you to be here? Are you doing well? And who is this little friend with you?"
"Yes. Thank you. My friend is Brandish. She is a student of my new teacher."
"Hoho, the new illusive teacher you talked about last time. I can't meet him even now?"
"He wants to stay out of the Supernatural world. If I get permission in the future, maybe."
"Tell me something Lavinia. It's not an interrogation, mind you but have you heard of a Devil who is extremely good at Ice Magic? Anyone your teacher has heard of perhaps? I honestly thought it was you but you have been here all this time…"
She narrowed her eyes at the comment?
Ice Magic… Devil. She could only think of one person.
"What is this about, Mr. Azazel? Why would I be doubted?"
"Hmm, I guess telling you wouldn't make any difference anyways. Today, near Tokyo, someone killed Katerea Leviathan. Just froze her instantly, attacks and all. There are very few people capable of doing so…"
She because of her Longinus.
But, Katerea Leviathan…
"The Old Satan faction people were searching for the mysterious Lucifer and attacked the little sisters of the current Lucifer and Leviathan along with one other girl. They were stopped by another devil who killed her and disappeared from the scene. Actually, many people think it was Serafall herself knowing how much she dotes on her sister but… she doesn't have that much power. Not to mention, Serafall was in a meeting with Nurarihyon and me. The Japanese Supernatural factions were pissed that some Devil tried to pull that in the middle of Tokyo. The Five Principal Clans are going to make a fuss. So, keep watch for them. Those people… they have more pride than they are worth."
"A Devil stronger than the current Leviathan?" Natsume exclaimed.
Lavinia kept her own thoughts to herself. "I am sorry but I haven't heard of anyone like that."
"That's fine. Just be careful. Japan is not going to be peaceful for a while. Nurarihyon is talking about the cult of Hagoromo Gitsune stirring up. With the current attitude of the Five Principal Clans, they will be taking an aggressive approach to calm down any kind of problem."
"I will keep that in mind. In that case, I will leave for today. I am already late."
"Alright, take care."
She ruffled Vali's hair and left with Brandish who gave Vali a look before following her.
At least someone was getting along with others.
Now, just how did Sil-kun get himself dragged into this mess.
- Azazel -
She knew.
Lavinia knew the Devil he was talking about.
He hadn't followed her the first time when she had suddenly asked to leave Grauzabebrer and even broke connections with Grigori, especially after suddenly gaining the Incinerate Anthem.
A human with two Longinuses was completely unheard of before, especially the two which were almost opposite in function. The fact that she was still alive was already a miracle. It could have been because of her so-called teacher.
August. A human magician that he had never heard of.
She was not under any kind of spell nor was her memories changed.
Back then, he had been careful to not push the guy because he didn't want to poke the hornet's nest. The Utsusemi Agency had and he wouldn't like to see if the spell that was used would be effective on Fallen Angels too.
And Lavinia hadn't shown any kind of behaviour that would show that she was hostile to any one. In fact, she had made it a point to cut off all association with any Supernatural factions and only came to meet Vali sometimes.
At first he had thought that this magician was just a cover but today another student came in.
"So Vali, I see you already have a rivalry running with the other girl, Brandish."
"Rivalry? She is weak. My Rival can only be the Red Dragon Emperor and no one else." he snorted.
This brat…
A pair of wings appeared on his back. "Well said. And while it's true that the Red one is our rival. The child called Brandish was not weak. She was around your own age and the magical power she released was on par with your own. There are not many humans, current or in history, who have that much power."
"Oh!" That child?
"Hmph. More magic just means I will have more power when I divide her power."
Still… for someone to be able to rival Vali… It seemed that this August fellow had a fairly high standard for choosing disciples.
Now, what exactly was his goal?
Was he really trying to just stay out of the Supernatural world or keep a lowkey profile until all these disciples grew up to suddenly take an interest in the world?
A new Lucifer, an unknown Human Magician, August and now the mysterious Devil who uses Ice Magic.
Sigh.
Why do things keep getting chaotic?
- Silas -
A week had passed since the Comic-con and things were thankfully normal… or so I would like to say.
There is a lookout for me outside. They were searching for a Devil who used Ice Magic because the one I had made into a popsicle was supposedly a bigshot of the devil's side.
Well, how was I supposed to know that? And even if I did, what was I supposed to do? Let her kill me?
And, aren't the bigshots supposed to be strong or something? Why was she so weak, dammit?
Aren't Maou's supposed to be around Milim's level?
I really thought she was some kind of kidnapper or something.
The sales at the Comic-con were a hit and we made around 35 million yen in the three days.
The money was used to then establish Crossroad Publications properly.
As for the staff, Rimuru sent many of his Kijin who were being taught about this world by Great Sage.
We bought a decent abandoned property in the town for ourselves.
The real production was not a matter at all because Rimuru already took care of that. There are more than enough copies for us to sell.
"I will be leaving to meet the children Shizue-san had told me about. I need to make good on my promise." Rimuru said, finishing his dinner.
"For a month or so?"
"Two maybe."
"Good. I was thinking of leaving to check out the nearby city as well. I want to make an average adventuring party and make a position for myself in the country and find out more about the world." Ainz replied as well.
"In the meantime, take care of Tempest for me."
I nodded. "I will keep an eye out for them."
The door to the restaurant opened at this instant and a young boy entered, wearing what seemed like the uniform of a big academy. Black hair and black eyes with a black and white coloured uniform.
"Hmm, this restaurant? Is this newly opened?" He asked himself while looking around.
Ainz thankfully was sitting behind a wall so he couldn't be seen directly and Rimuru was in his human form.
"Hello, what can I get you, Sir?" I got up and asked the guy.
"Are you the owner? I… what can I get here?"
"You can check the menu." I handed him the menu and he ordered a simple ramen.
"I will get it ready in a moment."
The door to the restaurant opened again and this time a man with a green cloak and striped hat entered wearing geta sandals and holding a cane. He had blonde hair and his hat almost covered his eyes.
"Oya, a new shop? I don't remember seeing this one before."
"What would you like to order, Sir?"
He just eyed the menu on the nearby table and ordered a plate of sweet mochi and tea.
"I see. Your order will be done in a moment."
I sent the order of the hat and clogs guy first while the Ramen was prepared. Bang entered the shop with another person who looked like a samurai of sorts. He even carried a katana and had a ponytail.
Wow, three new customers in one day. I thought that the restaurant was not going to throw in more customers anytime soon. I mean apart from Tanya and that soft spoken calligrapher, there were no new customers in the last two months.
"Tea for two and some, oh, are those mochi, two plates of those, Silas."
"Yes. In a minute, Bang-san."
By the time I delivered his order and went back to the kitchen to get the Ramen ready, I found that the guy was already chatting with Touma who had arrived for his daily martial arts training.
"Good Morning, Touma. Your normal Salad?" I asked the guy who seemed too engrossed in the stories of the new guy.
"Oh Silas. Yes. A salad please. Today I have a spar with Apachai so I need to eat light."
The new guy looked at me in surprise, "Shop owner, are you really from a different world?"
The newcomers' ears perked up but they didn't make it obvious.
"Depends. If we are not from the same world, then yes I am from a different world. Why don't you tell me something about your world so that I can take a guess. Oh, start with your name. My name is Silas Evans, by the way."
"My name is Ikki Kurogane. I am from Hagun Academy for Mage-Knights in Tokyo. Nice to meet you, Mr. Silas."
"Hmm. Yes, we are not from the same world, Ikki. First, this shop is in Kyoto and second, I haven't heard of any Hagun Academy or Mage-Knights in my world."
"What? Kyoto? Really?" The boy asked surprised.
"Do you know of the Parallel World Theory? We are from two different worlds with similar places. So, can you tell me something about your world?"
"Ah, yes." He then went on to explain about his world, Blazers, Devices, Mage-Knights and the bullshit surrounding the world.
"The embodiment of a soul, you say?" The green cloaked man asked all of a sudden.
"Yes. Devices are weapons manifested from our very souls."
"How interesting. Do you have a device? Can you show me?"
"Umm, sure. I don't see why not? Is it fine by you, Shop Owner?"
"As long as you don't cause any trouble in my shop."
By this time, Rimuru and the rest had also gathered around, including Shigure who was looking at the boy with interest now.
He stood up and raised his hand. "Come Intetsu."
A black katana appeared in front of his hand.
"So cool!" Shigure shrieked.
"Cool indeed. I didn't know this was possible but you did manifest a soul weapon while having a physical body. It's something between a fullbring and a Zanpakutō. Tell me, does it have any evolutions?" The guy looked around the sword with interest as he asked the questions.
"Evolutions? There might be but I don't know?"
"Does it have any special abilities?" He suddenly paused, realising the odd look on everyone's faces. "Sorry, if I am being too intrusive. It's just that I haven't seen something so interesting in a long time. My name is Kisuke Urahara, just a humble shop owner."
"N-no. It's fine, Kisuke-san. I was just taken aback for a moment. Yes. Devices have special powers. They are ranked from A to F with F being the lowest and A being the highest. My Intetsu can Double my Physical Power." he replied despondently.
"That's quite good. Doubling my physical power. I can see many uses for that." Bang said, scratching his chin.
"I can probably surpass your rank if I doubled my physical power, old man." The guy with Bang replied.
"You don't seem to be happy, young man. Are you not satisfied with your power?"
"I… even normal Blazers can enhance their physical powers by five to six times with their magic power. Thus, Intetsu's ability is considered almost useless. It's Ranked F, the lowest. I don't have that much magic power either."
"But you can increase your power by training, can't you?"
"No." He shook his head. "Blazers cannot increase the amount of magic power they are born with. They are limited by their souls."
….
A period of silence descended over the place but he continued.
"But I will overcome it. I will become a Mage Knight and prove them wrong."
Wow.
Talk about a shounen protagonist speech.
"Che, who needs magic power? You can always train your body and swordsmanship. You already got enough for your Device. Train hard and show everyone." The samurai guy with Bang clicked his tongue.
Shigure patted his shoulder. "Learn Ki. Martial Arts is strong. I can teach."
"Yes Ikki-san. I cannot use any Esper powers or magic either because my body just erases every supernatural power. But martial arts is really good. I have become much stronger than before. Also, you should eat the salad from the restaurant. It increases the rate of training by several times."
"You can do what?!"
"Yeah. He needs to put on his gloves at all times because of this."
"Know what? Show me your swordsmanship. If you are good enough, I can give you some pointers as well." The Samurai spoke.
"Rimuru. This Device thing, maybe… Do you think we can get some for ourselves?" I asked the slime.
"Hmm. It might be possible if we go to that world."
"Umm, Shop Owner. Not everyone can awaken Devices. You need to have magic power, enough to awaken your device."
We all looked at the guy who seemed genuinely worried about it and we smiled.
"It's fine. I might just have enough magic power for it." I raised my hand and water swirled in my palm before freezing in the shape of a katana similar to Intetsu. "We only need your permission in case this is something harmful for your world."
"No no. It's not harmful."
So we all waited for him to finish his Ramen as the others finished their food and we all walked into what looked like modern Japan.
We were in an alleyway.
I put up a barrier around the area. It was the same as that crazy woman was using to keep people away. I had analysed it before entering it so I knew how to use it.
Rimuru put a hand in front of him and a katana appeared out of thin air. It looked like the one which he normally carried.
"Heh. That's quite easy."
"How did you do it?" Ikki asked, stunned.
"Ah, I analysed the method you used to manifest your device using my power, Great Sage and copied it. My katana is called Mimic. It can change shape, eat anything and take the power of that thing too. Cool."
That's more or less what Rimuru does.
"Let me try it too." I asked and he connected Great Sage to my own Sage Skill.
Under the guidance of the Skill, I raised my hand and a blade formed in front of me.
….
….
"Well… it kinda fits Silas." Bang said after a moment.
"Must have something to do with his size." Ainz joked and Rimuru laughed, making my lips twitch.
"At least I have one."
….
Both of them became quiet.
My Device was… a pair of kitchen knives. One was icy blue in colour while the other was black in colour.
Blue Fang. It controlled Water and Ice and Black Thorn, which was basically the Masterchef Skill in a Knife.
Just out of curiosity, all of us tried our hands at it.
Lavinia got a wand.
Milim got a pair of gauntlets.
Ainz got a Bone Staff.
How original.
Shuna got a fan.
Others didn't have any kind of magic power so they didn't try. Kisuke had magic powers but he didn't try either.
We returned to my shop again.
"Thanks for your help, Ikki. If you ever need any kind of help, ask us. Actually, if I find any art from my world suitable for you, I'll teach you. You can even learn from Hakurou. He is our Swordsmanship instructor. Just ask Silas. He is the one incharge, when I am not present."
"I am in a bit of a hurry too but my world also has similar arts which you can master. I will try to find ways to increase your magic power. Your world might have limits. Ours don't."
We talked for a while and Ikki I actually followed Bang and his Samurai friend to see if he could learn something about their swordsmanship.
Surprisingly, Saitama went with Rimuru to see his world.
The shop entered a period of peace and quiet for a few days.
Two weeks passed.
In the last few days, Kisuke, the shop owner from a place called the Karakura town often came around and talked to the other customers, especially Ikki.
Turns out that Kisuke's world also had similar weapons which are manifested from one's soul. There were some differences but the guy was a researcher of sorts.
They were discussing some kind of training which might help Ikki break through his magic power limits.
The Ikki guy had it bad. His family had practically disowned him and was going as far as to pressure the school he was in to fail him.
He had just failed an examination and because the teachers had refused to teach him and was only allowed to stay in the school because a new director of the school had arrived.
I mean, was it really a crime to be born with low magic power? To throw away a child and not just that but to actually try to actively make his life some kind of hell?
And why? For what reason? Just to show off some false family status?
What use was the family status when you didn't even have a family in the first place? It was like putting the cart before the horse.
But it was none of my business.
Lavinia was at school and Shuna was out managing the place for the Kijin with the help of a guy called Hiro who was sent by Rimuru to establish a base in this town and Tanya, Yuri and Naberal were managing the manga business.
I was free for now.
- Zeref -
He waited in the room as the door was opened and a figure entered. The figure paused looking at him, his eyes widening but he still let out a sigh and sat down.
"I didn't think I would ever see you again. Not that I am unhappy. It brings back some nostalgic memories of my youth but why are you here, Zeref?"
"Warrod. You look…"
"Old, like a tree? Yes. Magic is strange. I can't say I dislike this form of mine. Rather I find myself much closer to nature."
"I was going to say well but… I need your help, Warrod."
….
He didn't answer but looked questioningly.
"I found a way to remove the curse of contradiction. I am free now."
Warrod Sequen was probably one of the only people in Isgar who knew about him and the truth about the Black Wizard Zeref so the fact that the man's eyes widened and his jaws hung open was not a big surprise.
"Are you?"
"Yes. I am here to take her back."
"They will not allow you to step foot in Ishgar. Your name is…."
"And yet I stand here. You know as well as I do that if I really wanted to push, they cannot stop me. But I don't wish for any bloodshed. Not anymore. I just wish to take Mavis away with me and free her of her curse. In return, I will remove Tartarus and all the demons inside it. This is my offer to you. Should the Magic Council refuse it, even the Etherion or Face will not be able to save you, this… I promise."
A tense atmosphere descended on the room.
"Let her decide what she wants to do. I will ask Makarov. We will meet on Tenroujima Island in a week. Let her decide what she wants to do."
"Very well."
"Zeref… Precht, he…"
"Hmm?"
"Went rogue. He is now the leader of a Dark Guild working together with Tartarus."
"... I see."
He got up and was about to leave the room when he heard the voice of Warrod once more. "Congratulations on being free, Zeref."
– Irene –
She looked at the bunch of children behind her, following one who looked like a miniature version of her.
She never thought that there would be a day where she would be able to return for her daughter again.
And yet, when the day comes, she is afraid to even call out to her.
Being able to taste food again had done a lot of good for her. Especially when she discovered the fact that she could sleep after eating the food from the restaurant. The voices in her head started to become quieter.
She was regaining her lost sanity bit by bit and this reignited her hope of reuniting with her daughter.
And what does she see when she comes back?
Her daughter, enslaved and forced to work by some cultists? The audacity.
Behind them lay the smouldering wreckage of the Tower of Heaven. A way to resurrect Zeref, the black haired girl had claimed. What foolishness?
How would you revive someone who is already alive?
They were obviously being used by someone, the one called Precht.
"I assume you will be taking care of Tartarus?" She asked Zeref who was sitting on a rock nearby, waiting for them.
"August found a child with an innate Satan Soul Take Over Magic. He wants her to devour the magic of the ones in Tartarus for her growth." He looked at the children behind her. "Congratulations on finding your daughter."
She froze. The children behind her froze as she looked back.
Her daughter was staring at her with shock on her face.
She had the urge to glare at Zeref but then again, it made things a lot easier for her by breaking the ice between the two of them.
She turned back to Zeref. "The person behind this was the second Guild Master of Fairy Tail, Precht. He was manipulating the children to build the tower. I will take care of him myself."
He thought for a moment before answering. "Take August with you. He is related to Tartarus. August will take care of that side." She nodded.
"And you?"
"You have reunited with your family. It's about time I got reunited with mine as well."
- Serafall -
"What is it, Ajuka?" She asked as she entered the room.
She was still annoyed at that bitch Katerea. If she hadn't died that day, Serafall herself might have sent her off with her own two hands.
Sirzechs, Falbium and Grayfia were in the room and Ajuka put a barrier around the room as soon as she entered.
"What is this all about?" She asked, suspicious.
Sirzechs was the first one to speak. "It's all Ajuka's fault."
….
"What?" She deadpanned.
"The day when we were questioning your sisters about the Devil who fought Katerea Leviathan, your father was lying."
"Excuse me?"
"Now, Serafall, you need to be calm when you hear this." Sirzechs stood up and she noticed that Falbium had strengthened the barriers further.
"What exactly are you people talking about? What was father lying about?"
"He knew the unknown boy from the picture. You were perhaps too concentrated on your sister to notice it but there were clear signs of him lying."
She didn't say anything and just started as he continued.
"So, I kept an eye on him, on the activities he did."
"You did what?"
"I merely wanted to find out what he was hiding and get a clue about the new devil's identity and I did find something."
"Now, Serafall, there is a slight chance that it might just be a false alarm so you need to calm down and not be impulsive." Sirzechs tried to talk.
Falbium strengthened the barriers again.
She had a bad premonition in her heart.
"What did you find?"
"The boy's name is Silas Evans. He is eighteen and a half years old, was raised by a human family with probably no knowledge of his heritage and your father had been keeping an eye on this child since birth. The human family was related to one of his clients. And…"
"And…"
"There's a 98.3% chance that the boy called Sil or Silas, is the brother we all thought died in the attack eighteen and a half years ago."
She felt the world around her go white.
– Sirzechs –
"Dammit Ajuka, you could have slowly eased her in." He shouted as he strengthened the barrier with others.
Ajuka had teleported them out as soon as Serafall's magic had flared to a place where they had already arranged a barrier to keep the damage controlled.
He knew this would end up like this.
The attack on the Sitri hospital eighteen years ago was still fresh on everyone's mind.
Lady Sitri's delivery was slightly dangerous and she needed to be carried out to the hospital.
They were unfortunately busy with their work and Serafall was out.
The Sitri hospital was attacked and more than half the staff was killed along with Serafall's newborn young brother. The entire place was vaporised in the attack.
Lord Sitri had barely been able to save his wife but not his newborn son.
It was done by some rebels. They had a mole inside the Sitri house and the hospitals. It was done by some people whom Serafall had fought against in the Civil War.
When Serafall had returned, she had gone on a rampage like none other.
Half the underworld had almost been frozen over as she hunted the rebels.
It had taken both Ajuka and him to safely contain her.
While they hadn't been able to completely connect the Old Satan faction to it, they hadn't kept quiet.
They had mocked and questioned the reliability of their rule mainly when they couldn't even protect their own family members.
The incident had been a massive wake up call for everyone.
Serafall had taken the incident the hardest because she blamed herself for the death of her brother and her actions with Sona were as if she was trying to overcompensate for the chance she missed with her little brother.
So, finding out that he might have been alive all this time and hidden away by none other than her own father of all people…
Yeah, it was a mess alright.
Lord Sitri was not going to have a good time.
- Silas -
And while hell was experiencing a cold day, the main reason for all this was experiencing a very interesting situation.
"What are you doing here, Lavy?" I asked, not even surprised at the supposed surprise anymore.
"Shu-chan is visiting her friends so I was feeling a bit lonely so I came in to join you.."
"Hmm. Sure."
The conversation was all but a normal one except for the situation where it was used. I was currently in my bathtub, taking a bath.
She got in and got comfortable, her back against my chest as she leaned into me.
My relationship with her is a bit complicated.
She has tactically agreed to everything we have done but never said anything expressly. She even participated and initiated many of those things so I know I am not forcing her but she always acts oblivious. It's like she enjoys my reactions or just enjoys this game. So I too, play along.
We have just never voiced out our own thoughts to each other yet.
Shuna was hanging out with her friends today so it was just the two of us. Not that it would have stopped her if she had been present. If anything, Lavinia enjoys dragging others into our game even more. Girls only.
Is she making me a Harem without me even knowing?
Who knows?
I personally think it is her convoluted way of having a real and close family of sorts. The way she gathers others, especially children and those seeking love and companionship is kinda like how she would like herself to be treated. The stranger part is that she always gets her way because we just go around with it.
Lavinia Reni is either the most pure-hearted girl I have met or the sharpest mastermind in history.
She is a very complex character.
I personally think she balanced it on a line somewhere in between.
That said, never once till now has she done anything to harm me or anyone close to me in any way so…
"Lavy?"
"Hmm?"
"Wanna go out with me?"
"Okay."
"Alright."
We just stayed there relaxing in the bath as I brought her closer to me in a hug, raising her in my lap.
She however turned around to face me, her body still on my lap and her core directly above my length, as she took some soap on her hand.
"Sil-kun, let me help you."
I didn't need to be told twice. I relaxed back as she applied soap on my chest and I did the same, my hands sliding behind her and pulling her onto my chest.
Despite all her complexities, one thing was without a doubt, Lavinia was mind numbingly sexy.
"Let me do the same." I whispered into her ears as my hands slid down onto her butt, slowly massaging the softness of her behind. Her breathing got heavier and my lips found her earlobes and sucked at them.
"Mmhhh~"
My fingers travelled and slid right over her rosebud and she jerked slightly on my lap making me smirk. Her face was blushing right now.
This was rare.
I had never seen her blush in all these months.
And there was no way that I was just going to let it slide. My fingers circled right around her rosebud, not touching it directly and her body shivered every time I got near the part.
She was biting her lips to control her moans and I did something which made her control break.
I used a quick Clean Spell, something I had created to clean off the tables and my kitchen. An interesting fact about the spell was that it worked on human bodies too.
A water tentacle formed inside the tub and I guided it to her backdoor making her yelp and jump.
She pulled back slightly, staring into my eyes with an embarrassed blush.
"It's important to clean each part well when bathing." I whispered. Her mouth opened at the absurdity of the situation. "Even here." I didn't give her a chance to reply as I locked her lips with mine.
Her eyes widened but slowly her arms reached into my hair and back as my tongue slid inside her. Our tongues wrestled and the water tentacle did its job making her moan in my mouth.
I continued the treatment for a few minutes, our lips only separating for a few moments in between and felt her hips rocking in my lap with more vigour with each passing moment until her whole body jerked as she shivered and suddenly collapsed on my chest.
"Sil-kun is such a bully."
"It's your fault for being so cute."
I felt a kiss on my chest.
She rested for a minute on my chest and then her hips started moving again. I eyed her questioningly. "Sil-kun hasn't finished… cleaning yet." She added the last part with a sly smile on her face.
I put my hands on her waist as she went up and down my shaft, her breasts already clean of all the soap, shaking in front of my face and I did exactly what was needed and took one of them in my mouth. Her fingers clenched around my hair as she pulled me in tighter and increased her speed even more.
I thrusted to lend her a hand till I finally felt the pressure building and shot it all on her stomach, adding a coat of white on her fair skin.
One spell later, the entire place was clean.
The Devils in the world had this very interesting power, Imagination Based Magic. Combined with the Sage, it was quite effective.
"Where did you even learn this from?" I asked as she settled in my arms again.
"There were many doujinshi at the Comic-con. I bought some to know more about manga. They were quite interesting."
….
I mentally gave a thumbs up to the doujinshi author.
"Good job."
"Shu-chan is going to be so mad when she finds out about this." She said, slowly giggling.
"What?"
"Shu-chan was planning on taking a bath with you too, so don't let her down, okay."
I looked at the girl strangely. "You know, other girls would be jealous and not tell me to treat her well." I deadpanned and she just put her cheeks on my chest.
"Both Shu-chan and you are my family now. I don't want anyone to feel bad. Not because of me."
….
This was probably the first time I talked to the real Lavinia.
None of us said anything and enjoyed the silence together for a while.
I do feel that these last few sentences made our relationship progress more than all the making out did.
– Kagali –
"Why are you stopping me?! They killed my Footman!" She hissed at Yuuki but he sat there, unconcerned and even had a smile on his face.
"Your mind is clouded by anger and you cannot think properly, Kagali. What's the use of killing him here and risk the other two going into hiding, continuing to be an annoyance. We don't get anything from it. Footman's death would be wasted. So, instead of just killing him, use him to push our power to the next level. After all… the corpses of all the monsters in his city and Falmuth will be more than enough to make a new body for Footman. Then we can easily find his soul back again."
She became quiet at the words and he explained.
"Push the information about three Demon Lord seeds making a nation of monsters and that one of them killed Shizue Izawa. Knowing my kouhai, she will rush with all her forces to lay a siege on Tempest."
"They will not be enough." She started to speak but was interrupted.
"And that's where Clayman is going to make an entrance to test the self proclaimed demon lords to see if they are worth their name. Send Laplace and Tear with him along with the entire army of the Puppet Nation Jistav. In fact, join them if you want revenge. After, both parties are exhausted from their battle, then kill the survivors. The souls will be enough for both Clauman and you to awaken. If the Monster Nation Tempest survives, Clayman can claim that he was testing the new Demon Lord. If Falmuth survives, he can claim that they invaded a territory belonging to monsters and he took revenge. Either way, we win. He might even have a chance to get a large number of loyal soldiers at his disposal too. The orcs and Kijin are quite strong."
She stood, seriously thinking about the plan and it did seem feasible. They had three Demon Lord seeds but it wasn't something which could stand the joint forces of Jistav and the church. The more she thought of the plan, the more feasible it seemed and thus she chose to hold on to her revenge for now.
– Silas –
I decided to take Lavinia on a date. I mean, the order of things was already messed up but at least let her experience a normal relationship… or as normal as our relationship could get.
Thankfully, I knew exactly where to go. We were invited by Kisuke to witness Ikki's training. I decided to take this opportunity to take Lavinia on a date.
Karakura town was a normal Japanese town but there was something about this place which made it an ideal place to go on a date - the fact that there won't be anyone looking for an Ice using devil or a mysterious Lucifer devil or who knows what that crazy woman was looking for.
We spent the whole day having fun together.
It was night by the time we decided to find Kisuke's place because whatever he was going to do would happen at night.
"So, his shop is in this area. The Urahara Candy Shop. Let's look around the area and see."
"Hmm."
We walked past a corner and I suddenly felt something flying towards me at a high speed. I reflexively slapped it aside as a wall crashed and I saw the figure embedded into the wall. A boy?
"Ichigo!"
From the other side of the street, a black haired girl cried loudly and came running towards the guy and looked at me menacingly.
A menacing squirrel with its mouth full of nuts.
"Who are you people? Why did you attack Ichigo?"
"Attack would be a strong word. It's just that I felt something about to crash into me and reflexively slapped it away."
"You can't slap someone like Ichigo away? You shouldn't even be able to see him." She shouted, offended?
"Umm why? I have perfect vision (especially during the nights). Also, why can't I hit him? Is he a prince of somewhere? Does he own this street? If someone is about to crash into me, potentially push me in the middle of a road and cause an accident, I do believe I have a right to defend myself. Haven't you heard, running on the streets is not good? What do they teach in Middle Schools these days?"
"I am not a Middle Schooler!" She shrieked.
"Umm… sorry."
Before I could say anything, we heard a blast of sorts from the nearby street and the girl checked her phone.
"Oh no, the hollow." She ran towards the boy embedded in the wall. "Ichigo, wake up. The hollow. It is attacking."
I looked around and let out a sigh. I have been doing this a lot in the last few months. Then again, I wasn't caught in such situations before and neither did I have a multiverse spanning restaurant.
"Lavy, check on the boy. See if a restoration potion works. I will go and see what's going on."
The noise was coming from a house. The surprising thing was that no one was coming out or even noticing anything wrong.
There were no barriers around. Were the people of this area so used to these kinds of things?
Kisuke's world is messed up.
I jumped to the window of the house and saw a half human half serpent ghost kind of thing looking at an orange haired girl while another girl lay on the ground injured.
The monster jumped and I created ice around it, freezing it in an ice box.
The girl fell on her butt. I rushed to their side and picked her up and carried the other girl on my shoulder before jumping out of the window.
The black haired girl from before came in running, carrying the fainted boy on her shoulder.
"Okay, what the hell was that? And why is this guy still down? Didn't the potion work on him?"
Lavinia shook her head. "Sil-kun, these people are apparently Shinigami."
"Death Gods? No way. They are too weak. Don't get tricked by them, Lavy. I am not good at sensing power but even by my standards, they were too weak. That guy took one slap but hasn't woken up yet."
Lavy looked at the girl suspiciously. "Are you lying?"
"What? No. I recently lost my power in an attack. Ichigo is still new at this work. Also, it's that guy who is the freak."
There was a bang inside the house and the ghost thing came out, blasting a wall.
I was able to take a look behind and the ice cube was still as it is. How did it get out?
I created another ice cage around it instantly and looked at the black haired girl.
"Okay, keep the discussions for later. What is that thing?"
"It's a hollow. They are spirits which have some leftover wishes and haven't passed on to the afterlife. They become corrupted and become hollows who form that mask on their faces. They attack anything with Spiritual Power."
"So an evil spirit of sorts. Reminds me of some Youkai. Will it be a problem if I just kill it?"
"NO DON'T!" It was surprisingly the orange haired girl who said that. And that was not the end of surprises as she walked to the monster and hugged it, apologising.
The monster's mask broke and a face was revealed and from the girl's words, I knew it to be her brother.
It was like a freaking anime.
The now unmasked guy looked at me. "Kill me."
"No please, don't." The girl cried out again.
Damn. So troublesome.
The black haired girl spoke again. "He will just become a mindless hollow if he is not purified."
How do I even purify it?
I am a devil for fuck's sake. We are beings the furthest away from pure
Purify?
Suddenly an idea struck me. "Lavy, use Incinerate Anthem. I don't have any purification Skills."
She looked conflicted for a moment but looked at the girl and then the ghost who was literally begging us and steeled her resolve and nodded.
She walked towards the guy while I stopped the girl. "Don't worry. She won't hurt him."
Lavinia's body was surrounded by a purple flame as a giant cross appeared behind her.
I took some distance as the ghost waved at the girl and closed his eyes allowing the flames to touch him. The flames didn't exactly burn him but rather burned off his monstrous features, leaving a normal human-like soul in its place.
He waved goodbye to the weeping girl one last time and disappeared.
Lavinia recalled the flames back.
"See, he's probably going to a better place." The girl nodded and then fainted.
…. Now, what to do with this. I turned back to the black haired girl who was looking at us as if we were ghosts. "Say, do you know an address?"
"And so we came here." I explained to a rather amused looking Kisuke.
Turns out that the black haired girl, Rukia knew Kisuke and so did the carrot top, Ichigo.
They healed the girl, Orihime and the carrot top Ichigo.
"So, we are not in any trouble, are we?"
"Not really. You could be if you went around without controlling your Reiatsu though."
"Reiawhat?"
"Reiatsu, Spiritual Pressure or Soul Power." Kisuke then explained what he was talking about and showed me how to reign in my power.
"Umm, I am already reigning in my power a lot. I learned it because it scared the goblins at Rimuru's village." It's more of a town now though.
"Really? You are giving off a new lieutenant class to a 3rd Seat Class reiatsu. That's you holding back? You must have quite some juice." The black cat sleeping on the table talked.
It talked?
And what's with that manly voice?
"So cute!" Lavinia jumped and hugged the cat almost immediately.
"Yoruichi is an old friend." Kisike stated as if the talking cat part was already understood.
I reiterate again. This world is messed up.
"Silas?"
"Oh. Yes. 2% power." I replied absentmindedly.
"You were holding back 2% power?" He deadpanned.
"What? No. I am showing 2% of my power."
….
….
I continued seeing their blank looks, "But then again it's my magic and soul power might be hidden in a different way. Can you show me an example?"
He nodded. "I think we should go to the training room first. Kurogane-kun is training there already."
We got down a flight of stairs into what looked to be a gigantic space, complete with lights and all too.
Inside the space was Ikki… being chased around by two children, one with a baseball bat while the other was a girl with a freaking rocket launcher.
I looked at the shopkeeper who suddenly began to seem a lot more sinister to me.
"Just kids having some fun. Don't worry, we can heal everyone back to full health again."
…. That doesn't change anything, dammit.
It was then that I noticed something odd. Attached to Ikki's chest was a chain and on the other end of the chain was a body which looked exactly like Ikki's.
"So you noticed. The chain attaches the body to the soul. In our world, we can train to increase our spiritual power. Since the laws of Kurogane-kun's world binds a human, to bypass them, we simply made him into something other than a human. We temporarily separated his soul from his body and helped him train. It worked too as his Spiritual Power has been increasing steadily. This progress can be maintained even when he returns to his body."
"The boy is a ridiculously hard worker too. He has never once complained no matter what kind of training we threw at him. Kind of makes me want to train him too." The cat… said.
I am really having quite a hard time getting used to it.
Also what was it going to teach him, cat walk?
"What do you mean by the world binding his limits?"
"Oh, yes. I meant it quite literally. There are some kind of bindings on his soul. We can break them but the process will be risky and thus we are increasing his power so that he can have a better chance."
"What are the risks?"
"He will turn into a hollow."
'You mean those masked ghost things?"
"Yes those. By the way, how did you defeat the hollow?"
"I didn't. Lavy did."
"Your waitress?"
"Hmm. She purified it."
"Purified?"
"You know, cleanse the soul of their sins, resentment and stuff and send it to the Shinigami Heaven. The Rukia girl told us that the guy will get there."
"Oh! Did she use her device? I didn't realise that these devices were so similar to a Zanpakuto. To perform a Konso too."
"She used her Sacred Gear?"
"Sacred Gear?"
"Have you read the Bible?"
"A bit, yes."
"In my home world, the God of the Bible created a bunch of artifacts and started a lucky draw at birth to incarnate them in a human soul. This was done to give humanity the power to stand against the supernatural."
"God?" He asked, completely stunned.
"Yes. There are literal Gods living in my world. I was surprised and shit scared too."
Kisuke was the first one to break the silence. "So these Sacred Gears. What kind of things are these?"
"Can be anything. From something to give the user an eidetic memory to having the power to kill even Gods."
"There are thirteen Longinuses."
"Like the Spear which killed Jesus Christ."
"It was the first. These thirteen are weapons of enormous power. They can enable the user to kill gods too… with enough training of course. I was raised by human parents so I don't know much about the Supernatural world, only the things I should stay away from."
"How fascinating. So, how did Miss Lavinia purify this hollow?"
"Her Sacred Gear allows her to use the Holy Flames to purify dark beings."
By then Ikki had fallen down to the ground, fainting so we moved on to him.
While Ikki was being healed, Kisuke showed me a way to cloak my power.
"First, why don't you go and stop holding back? Don't worry, this place is sealed tight. No one will be able to detect us outside." Kisuke waved at me. He looked very curious. It reminded me of those crazy scientist types.
"You sure?"
"Absolutely." He assured me.
"Well alright. Lavinia, why don't you take the children a bit away from the area and make a barrier around you all."
"Okay~"
Kisuke raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything. The cat surprisingly stayed on Ikki's head.
"Ready then. Here I go." I let go of all restraints for the first time since becoming an Archdaemon and the place shook.
- Yoruichi -
What the fuck, Kisuke?
Just who is this monster?
This kind of power was something she had only felt once, when she had seen the Head Captain spar against his two disciples.
She was having a very hard time maintaining her composure and using her Spiritual Pressure to shield Ikki who was already pressed to the ground from the pressure despite her efforts. Kisuke himself was barely standing. She felt Tessai make a barrier around them and the pressure lightened.
The boy soon held back his power and everyone heaved a sigh of relief.
"A-alright. Observe me." Kisuke instructed him to control his power after that released his power and slowly reigned it in.
The boy just nodded.
"To do this…"
Before Kisuke could continue, he started reigning his power to near invisible levels just like Kisuke.
"Is this alright?"
"... yes. How did you do that though?"
"I saw you, copied it."
"Just by seeing me once?"
"This method was pretty simple."
"Just out of curiosity, can you try something for me?"
"Hmm?"
"Try copying this." Kisuke moved to a different place with a Shunpo.
Even she was quite interested. To be honest, a large part of her was screaming bullshit at the guy. As if someone could learn to control their spiritual power so easily. Wouldn't that mean that the work they had put all this time was for naught?
But as if to break her preconceived notions, he appeared several tens of metres away from his place. "Oops, this is a bit hard to control." he then proceeded to disappear and reappear several times around the ground back to the place where he was standing at the beginning. She saw the first few steps and the last one was close to a blur for her. He was getting better at a mindblowing pace. "That's more like it. I had to use brute force but this method is much more convenient. What's it called?"
"This is called Shunpo or Flash Step." Kisuke replied while bringing out a notepad taking some notes. "Interested in learning some more tricks?"
"Sil-kun seems to be having so much fun." She was picked up by the girl who came with him and she started petting her. "Are you having fun, Yoru-chan?"
"I didn't know that Silas-san was this strong?" Ikki said while sitting in his place. She observed that he was heaving for breath but his soul was becoming stronger.
As expected, a soul grew stronger the fastest when it was in danger. And feeling that kind of power…
"Sil-kun is very strong. I don't think I can defeat him even if I used both of my Sacred Gears. Maybe hold him back for a while but not defeat him."
Yoruichi found herself still for a moment. "You can hold him back for a while?"
"An hour at best if I could achieve Balance Breaker with both my Sacred Gears. I don't have much Magic Power to sustain the use though."
"Balance Breakers?"
"Oh, they are the temporary power upped forms of the Sacred Gears."
As she talked to the girl, Kisuke continued with his experiments.
Over the period of the next two hours, he continued to break all of Yoruichi's preconceived notions of being a genius.
This was no longer a genius. This was a genuine monster.
- Silas -
Ikki seemed to be having fun training there and there was still time before his school reopened so he decided to stay there for training.
So, we left and went back to our restaurant. But before leaving, I left a card of my restaurant with the girl whose house I had almost destroyed.
I felt kinda bad for her.
The stay in Kisuke's world was full of ups and downs but at least the candies in his store were something.
That reminds me, I need other helpers in the kitchen.
– Rimuru –
He looked at the children who were now playing happily and felt a sense of peace and calm.
Two of them were trying to pull a prank on Saitama who was playing video games with Alice in his lap. Or rather, Kouta was trying to pull a prank while the other was just reluctantly following him around.
He felt a tug on his sleeve and saw Chloe with a book in her hand. She stared at Saitama and Alice and then back at him.
Oh. So, she wants to sit in a lap like Alice too. How cute.
"Come on."
She sat on his lap and started reading the book while he busied himself with his own thoughts.
The children were suffering from excess magicules and the only one he could think of who overcame this same problem was Shizue-san.
But how did she do that?
'Can you think of anything, Great Sage?'
'The individual Shizue made a contract with Ifrit, a High Ranked Fire Spirit. It helped reduce the burden on her magicules and stabilised her body.'
Ifrit. Yes.
That's it.
So, if these children make contracts with appropriate spirits, they will be able to overcome their problems too.
He also looked at his friend Saitama. He was a human so naming didn't work on him and thus he couldn't form a connection with this world. If he got a blessing from the spirits, he could probably get a connection to this world too.
He worked as a Hero in a fairly dangerous world. Getting a bit of a powerup will definitely help him.
On second thought, there were other humans in the restaurant too, like Lavinia. They could probably get a blessing from a Spirit as well.
But first, he will need to find where the Spirits lived. Hmm. That took care of his plan for tomorrow.

Authors Note:
Another chapter of the restaurant snippet.
I just couldn't stop writing it.
I literally have 'Deal with the Devil', half complete and yet I can't stop writing this one.
We got some new members and the members are slowly causing butterflies in their own worlds.
Some people asked me about Garou from OPM and while I like him, I thik he had left Bang's dojo before Saitama broke his limiters. If I am wrong, please do tell me and I will introduce him.
So a lot happened in this chapter.
Serafall found out.
Milim got games.
Lavinia got lewded.
Yoruichi got flabbergasted.
And well, several other things happened.
We will see the consequences in the next few chapters.
Enjoy the new chapter.
Good Day, Peace Out.
