Christmas came and went with Uraraka feeling overjoyed with being able to spend it with the Bakugos and her mom and aunt Yui the next day. Of course, she could still see it in her mothers' eyes that it still didn't feel the same this year but having each other still made things wonderful and they did their best to make sure to keep certain traditions going even without her dad there.
The day after was the small concert their class decided to throw for the students who either didn't get to leave the dorms for the holidays or for those who still decided to come out and watch them during winter break which was surprisingly a lot of students, and they were worried that if anymore else came they wouldn't know where to put them.
"I'm surprised so many people showed up." Tsu said next to Uraraka as they walked backstage to greet the band along with some of their classmates.
"Hey guys I'm glad you came!" Yaoyorozu smiled approaching them with Jirou. "Frankly I'm still surprised so many people managed to make an appearance today."
"Yeah, you'd think they'd be home enjoying their vacation." Jirou nervously played with her earlobes.
"If I didn't know any better, I'd swear I heard you sounding nervous." Mina grinned playfully draping her arms over her shoulders.
"Eh…not really…" she weakly said.
"Uh-huh…by the way where's the rest of the band?" Mina questioned looking around. "We wanted to wish you all good luck before finding good seats before they're all taken."
"Don't worry. Iida saved us some." Uraraka smiled.
"Always so thoughtful." Mina giggled.
"Well Tokoyami is setting everything up on stage and I know Kaminari and Bakugo were unloading the last bit of equipment from the car." Jirou said.
"Well, they better hurry up, it's packed out there." Mina said before turning to see her friend leave.
"I'll be right back. I'll see if they need any help carrying stuff inside." Uraraka playfully wiggled her fingerspads. Jogging down the small steps and passing a few students she almost managed to bump into Kaminari in the process. "Oh, sorry Kaminari!"
Tightening his hold on the giant black case he was dragging inside he gave her a nervous smile. "Hey! It's alright as long as I don't drop this then Bakubro won't have to kill me."
"I actually came to check and see if you guys needed any help." She squinted her eyes smiling.
Glancing over at the crowd he quickly nodded, realizing what a hassle it would be to try and move between all those people to get backstage. Using her quirk, she saw him slowly grin in appreciation when the case lifted up and making it easier to carry. "Hey thanks Uraraka! Our dude should be locking up the car right now."
"Alright." She waved continuing on her way outside. With how packed the place was it started feeling a little stuffy, so once she finally stepped foot outside, she took a deep breath of fresh air until she almost choked on it and quickly placed her hand against the wall to see someone talking to Bakugo while he was casually leaning against the back of the car with his arms folded.
She thought she recognized that girl before thinking she'd seen her during the 2nd year's sports festival this year when the guys were talking, but how did she know Bakugo?
But that wasn't what actually shocked her. What surprised her was that even though the explosive blond had his usual scowl on his face, he didn't seem too bothered by whatever the girl was saying and instead spoke back to her. About what she couldn't tell.
Furrowing her brows Uraraka tried to push down the feeling growing in the pit of her stomach thinking she was just being silly, that there was no way Bakugo would ever…
Stopping in the middle of her internal dilemma, her eyes slowly widened when she saw the girl eagerly bouncing on her toes and pull out her phone as if expecting him to say something.
'Is he giving out his number…? No that's not right. I'm just imagining things.'
Shaking his head Bakugo pushed off the car checking his own phone to see no missed messages from Uraraka and found it odd since she should be here by now. "I still don't see why the hell you damn extras can't talk to fuckin tape face directly."
"Please." The girl pleadingly smiled. "I just get so nervous everytime I try talking to him, and I know that you guys are really close."
"Tch. Doesn't matter, I'm not going to just give you his damn number without checking with the idiot first."
"Ok well…" Typing something on her phone she quickly put it away. "Since I know you guys are on soon, do you mind introducing us please?"
"Do I look like a damn dating app to you?" he gave her a deadpanned look.
"Well, no but if you do then I won't bother you anymore I promise!" she shouted as he picked up the last case and headed inside.
"So, I'm guessing he didn't need any help?" Jirou curiously asked when Uraraka walked back to stand next to them.
"No, he seemed just fine." Uraraka said with an eerie cloud surrounding her making the girls exchange worried looks.
"Um hey…Uraraka do you mind?" Kaminari asked standing close to the stage while he was still clutching onto the large case, so it didn't go floating up to the ceiling.
Silently placing her fingers together, she quickly released her quirk hearing his loud screech followed by a sudden 'THUMP'.
"Your ass better hope nothing broke!" Bakugo barked entering backstage and stomping over to pick up the case Kirishima handed him.
"Yeah, no don't worry I'm fine by the way…thanks for asking…." Kaminari groaned accepting his help up. "Your girlfriend just decided to help me out but caught me by surprise during this last fall."
Turning his head with a excited smirk he saw the brunette talking and getting ready to leave to find her seat with Tsu and Mina. With a few long strides he swiftly pinched her sides grinning when he heard her yelp in surprise and wrapped his arms around her torso pulling her against his chest and away from everyone who watched them for a second before doing their own thing.
"Katsuki!" she scolded with a small giggle before turning to face him. "I told not to do that."
"And I never said I'd stop, especially when I have you at my mercy." He chuckled looking over her face. "What the hell Ochaco, I feel like I haven't seen you all day."
"W-well you've been busy." She mumbled losing the small smile she had a second ago.
Keeping his eyes on her he saw something flicker in her eyes before she crossed her arms and looked away.
"You're doing that thing again."
"What thing? I'm not doing anything." She stubbornly met his gaze lifting her chin. "And don't you have to get ready."
Clicking his tongue, he nodded, staring at her for another second before lifting her chin higher and placing a kiss on her lips, that was until she quickly pulled away.
"I- I'm going to find a seat with the others before they're all taken."
"Fine." He said lightly tapping the tip of her nose. "But after this, we're having a nice long chat."
Puffing out her cheeks she swiftly turned and headed out, giving him one more glare along the way before disappearing. Chuckling to himself he shook his head before helping the others set up.
"Wow that was great you guys!" Hagakure clapped excitingly when the band took another small break to get ready for their last song. "Since they're almost done what say we start heading backstage?"
"Sounds good." Deku said following behind Iida, Shinso and Todoroki. "You guys coming?"
"Yeah." Kirishima grinned.
"I'm fine." Uraraka said keeping her eyes glued to the stage and crossing her arms.
"Are you sure?" Deku curiously looked over his shoulders.
"Yup. I'm staying right here." she firmly said.
Sharing a knowing look with Mina, Kirishima sheepishly grinned. "Well, I guess we're staying."
Once they were sure their friends had left, Mina placed a hand on her shoulder. "Alright Chako what's wrong? You have that face again."
"No, I don't!" she pouted, staring wide eyed at the two. "Why does everyone say that?" she huffed lifting her hands up. "And why are all you men such such…"
"Idiots?" Mina finished.
"Hey…" Kirishima frowned.
"Yeah! Why?!" Uraraka now stared at Kirishima.
"Um…we're sorry…?" Kirishima awkwardly grinned back with an apologetic face.
"Is there something in your brains that just decides to suddenly shut off when it matters?" Uraraka asked, receiving amused smiles from the two as they looked over her shoulder. "Dang it…he's behind me again, isn't he?"
"Yup."
"Sorry babe."
"Kirishima, we seriously need to get on that bell." Uraraka groaned hearing Mina snort and Kirishima mumble something about already checking right before she carefully turned to face her boyfriend. "Hey!"
Giving her a sarcastic smile back Bakugo didn't waste time grabbing her hand and pushed past the crowd until they were closer to backstage. "So, I'm an idiot huh?"
"I-I didn't say it, Mina did." she quickly defended herself, wincing once those words left her mouth. "Alright fine."
"You know you can't hide from me forever."
"I'm not hiding."
"Yes, you are! That's all you've been fuckin doing Ochaco!" he said lifting his hand and gesturing to the stage. "Even now…we've had how many breaks? And not once did you come and see me. I was waiting for your ass so I can find out what's got you so mad at me, but it seemed like you didn't care."
Pursuing her lips, she looked anywhere but him. "I'm not mad."
"Try again." he said, taking a step closer to her and lifting her hand. "We've been together for how long already Angel face? And known each other for even longer. So, talk to me."
Now feeling silly about the whole thing when there was no reason for her to behave that way. No reason for her to think Bakugo would ever consider leaving her or talking to someone else. Until she lifted her eyes and saw the same girl eagerly walking up to him and tapping him on the shoulder.
"Hey, you ready?"
Rolling his eyes, he nodded his head towards the stairs of the stage where a few of their classmates were. "Whatever, I'll be there in a minute."
"Ok." The girl smiled and did the same to Uraraka before walking off.
"Who's that?" She tilted her head fixing her brown eyes on him without any hint of amusement.
"Some stupid extra I met earlier." He casually said before turning his attention back to her.
"She seems nice."
"I don't fuckin know." He squinted his eyes in annoyance when Uraraka nodded once and looked away.
"Oh."
Crimson eyes carefully watched her, his eyes darting between her and where the girl stood waiting for him. "Fuckin hell…is that what this is about?"
"I don't know what you're talking about." she defended feeling her face heat up when he kept staring at her. "Stop looking at me like that Katsuki."
"Cheeks come on." he smirked. "This is ridiculous."
"Why?" she pouted. "She seems pretty interested if you ask me."
"Well, she's not." He shrugged thinking that Tape face really owed him after this damn hassle.
"Right..." She grumbled watching him step closer to her and move the hair out of her face.
"Now why would I want anyone else, when I already have someone as sweet, caring, beautiful -although quite stubborn, strong, smart, and sexy as you? Who can drive me fuckin crazy in every possible way imaginable."
Folding her arms over her chest she looked away. "Well, anyone can do that."
"Not like you they can't." He shook his head, keeping his eyes glued to their hands and lightly chuckled to himself. Part of him still enjoyed her seeing her get worked up over something like this for him but a bigger part felt disappointed at the fact that she even did. "After all this time… you still don't trust me, do you?"
"Hey, I never said that." She gave him a serious look. "I do trust you."
"Not with everything." He huffed shoving his hands in his pockets and moved to step away. "You still don't trust me with everything Ochaco. And this right here shows me you still don't."
"I-I do Katsuki. It's just…well you should know because you got mad at me too." She argued.
"To be clear I didn't get mad at you, I got pissed at that bartender guy. And yeah, if some guy from the bar asks my girlfriend out on a damn date in front of me then yeah, I tend to get pissed. But you didn't see me bringing it back up."
"That's because it wasn't a date."
"Well, what did you guys talk about?" he sarcastically asked, folding his arms. "You never told me."
"Well, we just talked about why he was there, his life and family…" she said rolling her eyes at the obvious irritated look forming on his face. "It wasn't a date."
"Well sounds like a date to me."
"What is wrong with you lately?"
"With me?" he scoffed now bitterly smiling.
"Oh, you know what? I'm not the one who has someone over there waiting for them." She puffed her cheeks. "So, you better go and tend to your fans."
"I swear out of all the stubborn people in the world..." He chuckled to himself torn between just telling her everything and leaving this concert with her or just fuck everything and work out his anger and frustration at the gym preferably with her.
Staring at him opened mouth and offended, she started walking off.
"Wait Ochaco that's not- where are you going? Ochaco!"
"Everything patched up?" Mina asked once Uraraka came back.
"I do not want to talk about that hot head of a man."
"Ok…great…" Kirishima nodded mentally preparing himself for vigorous training before their trip in the morning. "…well, there goes my night."
"So, hey Kacchan good luck out there….?" Deku flinched when the blond snapped his head in his direction with an irritated scowl and heard him mumbling something to himself. "Haha or not…"
Stomping over to a smiling Sero happily talking with Kaminari, Bakugo was quickly followed by a flustered girl Sero had seen before.
"Here. Dipshit- extra, extra this is dipshit." Bakugo introduced before marching over to the stage.
"Huh?" Sero quizzically frowned giving the poor girl one of his usual smiles. "Hi."

Following their break Uraraka thought about just leaving, but Mina made sure to keep a tight grip on her shoulder reminding her that this was their last song and that once it was done, she promised her a night in the dorms with the girls and buckets of ice cream while watching chick flicks until they passed out asleep for the next morning.
"Oh, come on babe, it's just a little fight. I'm sure you'll make up in no time." Mina wiggled her eyebrows. "And trust me, sometimes that's the best part."
Exhaling loudly Kirishima was at a point in his life where nothing his girlfriend said could surprise him anymore except in certain circumstances such as now when he felt his face heat up having to stand right next to her while the girls giggled and stared at him. "Pretend you're not even here Kirishima…" he mumbled to himself.

"Come on…Come on…" Kenzo seethed just another second away from just throwing the damn thing against the wall and breaking it. It's already been too long since he was able to check in on Riku or even attempt to get in any sort of contact with him. The Ipponmich had all of them working around the clock now in order to prepare for everything and the weirdest thing was that for some damn reason he wasn't able to get any reception on his phone. "Shit!"
"Something wrong?" Toga happily skipped down the hall stopping to look at him.
Stuffing his phone in his pocket Kenzo instead retrieved his lighter and a cigarette getting ready to light it. "Just can't get a damn single in this place."
"Yeah, Hana has someone working nonstop to keep a barrier up and keep any signal from coming through. Something about making sure everything's goes according to plan." Toga rolled her eyes obviously as tired about the whole thing as anyone else working nonstop. "She's really freaking out about this visitor."
"Any idea what that's about?"
"No." she said tiling her head and watching him with those eyes he came to be fond of. "You know…those things will kill you."
"Yeah well, who gives a damn anymore right." He gave a bitter laugh before placing it on his lips.
"Hana's not going to be happy that you're smoking here, neither is the doc."
"Last I heard I wasn't working for them."
"No, but you're working for me." she quickly said with a smile. "You're still upset about Yasha."
"Aren't you?"
"I am." She clenched her fists thinking about having lost another member of her team. "But it's all for a good cause…she would have understood that."
Taking a long drag he nodded before walking off.
"By the way. Hana wants everyone's phones." She rolled her eyes extending her hand. "The best thing for us to do right now is work together and you know that. After that…we'll all go back to doing our own thing."
"Right." Pulling out his phone he tossed it to her before going to his room, thankful that he always thought about bringing a spare just in case. Once he did his usual thorough check of his room and turned the tv on, he sat himself down on his chair checking once more to see if he had any signal. "Damn."
"Rough day?"
"Something like that." Kenzo said not at all surprised to see Kage pop up out of nowhere. "And where the fuck have you been?"
"Out."
"Out? You mean your fucked up self is able to still move past that damn barrier?"
"Like it could keep me out." Kage scoffed walking over to the tv and grabbing the remote.
"And let me guess, you used that to keep spying on that gravity chick?" Kenzo growled grabbing the remote back. "Don't touch the tv."
"You're not even watching that movie! And no, she wasn't there." Kage rolled his eyes already knowing what his brother was going to say. Since they were younger something about watching movies always seemed to calm Kenzo…he guessed it allowed the guy to let his mind relax instead of being filled with their everyday troubles they had, that and turning into his favorite animal would help calm him. "By the way…from what I could tell he's fine too."
Shooting his brows up in surprised, Kenzo just nodded letting out a relived sigh not realizing how tense he's been, but thankful that their baby brother at least made the effort to check in on Riku.
Groaning in exasperation, Kage just made himself comfortable on the bed. "Fine…I guess it's Deadpool again..."
"Damn right it is." Kenzo proudly smiled.

"Alright now just so we're clear since we're almost there. Everyone needs to be on their best behavior otherwise we'll cancel this trip." Mr. Aizawa said from his seat in the front.
"Oh, come on teach, don't be such a mood killer." Hawks groaned from the driver's seat of the bus.
"It's not just the students I'm talking about." He pointedly stated.
"Hey, I always behave…for the most part." Hawks mumbled the last part. "But you can't tell me you're not excited about this. When was the last time you went Skiing Aizawa?"
"Yeah, who wouldn't want to be on a trip with 200 plus students." Mr. Aizawa said sarcastically "Besides I don't have time for that stuff. And I'm surprise you took time off for this."
"Why is everyone so bossy lately." Hawks rolled his eyes.
"Oh man, I can't wait for us to get there!" Hagakure shouted, turning to look back at the two seats behind her that were occupied by Tsu and Uraraka.
"I know what you mean. It'll be nice to just get away even if it's just for the weekend. Ribbit."
"I guess." Uraraka quietly said looking out the window and watching nothing but tall pine trees completely covered in snow pass them by. Further ahead she could already see their destination where a few large buildings stood that from the looks of it had been there for quite some time now. With a small smile she felt her excitement start to bubble.
Towards the back of the bus Bakugo silently listened to his music with his airpods while his friends continued talking. It seemed like during this whole trip already that's all those idiots were doing, pointing excitingly at any little thing they could outside like they've never been to a damn ski resort.
Leaning his head back he momentarily let his eyes drag across the aisles until they stopped at the back of his girlfriend's head. They'd already been riding on this stupid bus for a couple of hours now and not once had she turned to look back. Ever since the concert yesterday he's been waiting for her to say something since he decided to take Kirishima's advice and let her cool down, but so far, he didn't see any progress. Usually, he would just straight up talk to her so they could hurry up and fix whatever needed fixing, but after yesterday he felt…hell he couldn't say how he felt. All he knew was that the more time went by the further out of reach she became.
Maybe he should just tell her…
But then what? How would she react? He didn't want to scare or overwhelm her. Hell, he himself felt that way anytime he was with her or even thought about her. So how could he expect her not to.
Once they arrived at the resort, all of the third years made their way out of the buses gasping at all the natural beauty of the place.
"This place is huge!" Deku awed clutching his bag tighter as he let his eyes bounce around at all the other skiers in the area.
"Jirou, why do you have to carry all this with you?" Kaminari whined carrying their bags while she proudly carried a set of guitar cases.
"You should know by now I never go anywhere without them." She gave him a small smile making the boy blush.
"I guess…"
"Now since it's already past six, make sure you go get checked in. You all already know who your roommates are. I don't care what you do from here as long as you make it to dinner which will be served soon. Tomorrow you can take full advantage of the ski resort since that portion of the resort is already closed for the day."
"Aw man…" Mina whined giving their teacher a small pout.
"Don't worry guys like he said, you have all of tomorrow to bask in the radiance of this place." Hawks grinned.
Feeling slightly disappointed along with everyone, Uraraka followed the others towards what she guessed was the main building, silently waiting in line with Mina when she heard Hawks call Bakugo back.
The lobby of this old building instantly gave off a very rustic atmosphere with the pinewood walls that help give it a clean and crisp scent, with comfy looking couches situated around the beautiful large brick fireplace at the center with visitors already enjoying the warmth that the crackling fire provided. 'This place is so beautiful…' Taking this moment to sneak a peek at Bakugo she felt Mina suddenly nudge her.
"Still with the silent treatment?"
"Don't know what you mean."
"Oh, please Ochaco it's me. And it doesn't take a genius to see that you two are clearly still upset with each other."
"Is it that obvious?" Uraraka pouted, turning to look to the front again.
"Afraid so girl." Mina giggled moving forward since they were next in line. "Come on let's get our key." They both smiled at the two front desk clerks who didn't seem to be much older than them.
"Hi, we'd like to check in please." Uraraka smiled.
"Of course." The girl smiled. "Your names please?"
"Mina Ashido and Ochaco Uraraka." Mina offered.
Typing the names into the computer the girl nodded while the guy pulled a piece of paper out handing it to Uraraka with a pen.
"We just need you to fill out some quick information." He smiled at both of them.
Furrowing her brows Uraraka glanced over the paper getting to work in filling it out. "That's a lot of information…"
"Well, it's just basic stuff you know about staying at the resort, such as the risks involved when tackling the slopes, and that we won't be responsible for any injuries sustained while out there. That sort of thing."
"Oh, please Ochaco hurry, I really want to sign that…" Mina sarcastically said receiving a giggle from the brunette.
"I'm sure you two have nothing to worry about. You girls look like you know what you're doing."
Slowly lifting her eyes Uraraka shared a small look with Mina. "W-well to be honest I haven't skied in a while." She admitted rather embarrassed.
"Same here." Mina shrugged. "I guess we'll have to see how it goes."
"Well, if you guys want to, I'd be more than happy to teach you two tomorrow." The guy grinned receiving an eye roll from the other receptionist.
"Are you an instructor?" Uraraka curiously tilted her head.
"No, but I am rather good." He said getting on the computer to get their keycard. "Maybe I can try and see if there's one of the bigger rooms available for you guys." He winked.
"Seriously?!" Mina gawked. "You could do that?!"
"Maybe, depends on if there's any available." He shrugged before looking down at the paper. "Are those your numbers?"
"Um…" Uraraka started to open her mouth intending to tell the guy she wasn't interested in any of that until she heard Todoroki behind her scoff and Deku's nervous laughter which usually meant trouble.
"Oh boy…" Deku cringed a second before he was pushed aside by an angry blond.
"Oi what the fuck's the hold up?"
"What's it look like, we're getting our key Bakuboy." Mina said.
"Shouldn't be taking this damn long." He glared down at the guy before filling out one of those forms and handing it to the other receptionist. "Katsuki Bakugo and Eijiro Kirishima."
"Oh ok." She said quickly jumping on the other computer.
Grunting Bakugo crossed his arms on the counter giving Uraraka a sideways glance that told her he wasn't in the best of moods.
'Great.' She awkwardly cleared her throat. "Thank you but I think we're all set."
"You sure?" The guy smiled. "I don't mind."
"Well, I do." Bakugo lips drew back in a snarl snatching both keys and grabbing Urarakas hand while nudging Mina onward.
"H-Have a great day!" The girl receptionist awkwardly said.
"Don't tell me what to fuckin do!" Bakugo barked back making both people flinch.
"Ok quite with the pushing already!" Mina continued to smack his hand away, turning when they were a little further away. "Dang it Bakugo, we were about to get a deal on a great room, but nooo you just had to scare them away again."
"Tch."
"Where's Kirishima I though he was with you?" she asked looking around.
"Dumbass got distracted by a table full of sweets." He nodded his head towards the entrance where Kirishima and Kaminari were already stuffing their faces.
"Hey, anyone want some?" Kirishima grinned with his mouth already full as he approached them and chuckled when Uraraka immediately held out her hand with a twinkle in her eyes.
"Kiri, Bakugo just completely ruined our chances at getting the hook up on a great room." Mina huffed.
"Aw man you didn't get it?" Kirishima shook his head. "Well, that sucks."
Gritting his teeth Bakugo shoved the girls key into Urarakas already opened palm and stomped towards his and Kirishima's cabin. "You're all idiots!"
X
"Oh this is great!" Mina exclaimed jumping onto her bed. "And look we even have our very own fireplace!"
"We sure do!" Uraraka giggled lazily stretching her arms above her head. "But don't forget, we still have to get to dinner."
"Pfft, I know." Mina tiredly waved knowing they had at least an hour and a half before that and hoping she could stall a little longer. "We still have time, plus I invited the girls to meet here." She said a second before they heard knocking and the rest of the girls walked in.
"Oh, what the fuck are you doing now?" Bakugo groaned out loud quickly trying to go back the way he came. At this point he couldn't even act surprised anymore with all the stupid shit his friends did. Which is why when he saw all three boys with their ears pressed against the wood of the door, he just decided it was better to leave.
"It's not what it looks like." Kaminari whisper yelled.
"Actually, it is." Sero winced.
"Well yeah…" Kaminari gave him a guilty smile. "But it's girls' night."
"Tch, well last I heard you're not a damn girl."
"Also true." Kaminari nodded watching Bakugo sitting down on one of the steps clutching his jacket tighter. It was a rather cold night and in order to get to the other log cabins you had to deal with the weather. "Look I just want to know if I can ask Jirou out and make it officially you know." He quietly admitted.
Watching Bakugo stay silent obviously deep in thought the guys presumed to mean he didn't care.
"Hey Ochaco, are you ok?" Yaoyorozu asked concern evident in her voice. "You seem kind of out of it lately."
"Yeah, remember we're your friends and if you need anything we're here."
"I know." She smiled grateful to have such wonderful friends. "And I appreciate it, I really do. But there's nothing wrong I promise. I guess there's just a lot to deal with since we're pretty much done soon."
"I know. I still can't believe it!" Hagakure quietly said, too quiet for what they were used to. "I'm going to miss you guys so much."
"Hey, it's not like we're never going to see each other." Yaoyorozu gave her a gentle smile. "I for one want to stay in touch with everyone."
"Momo!" Hagakure and Mina whimpered giving her a hug.
"Not trying to be a downer, but there will be times when things will get hectic, so hectic we might not see each other for a while." Tsu sadly looked down. "I know at first, I'm going to be quite busy working with Selkie out at sea. So, unlike you guys I won't have the luxury of seeing everyone." She wiped her eyes and nose.
"Tsu…" Uraraka wrapped her arms around a whimpering Tsu.
"I'm sorry." Tsu covered her face.
"A lot will change…for all of us." Jirou quietly said chewing on her lip. "That's one of the many reasons I don't want to rush things with Kaminari. At least until after school."
"Really?" Mina curiously raised a brow. "I mean it's only a couple of months, so what's the difference?"
"Mina…" Yaoyorozu frowned.
"Sorry Jirou. I'm just genuinely want to know." Mina gave her an apologetic look. "It's ok though."
"Nah it's fine." Jirou smiled. "I guess a part of me is still…worried. And you're right two months isn't a lot, so what's the harm in making sure you know…" Feeling her cheeks warm Jirou smiled fondly to herself. "I really like that doofus."
"Aw man I'm a doofus." Kaminari whined rubbing his hands on his face and walking down the steps heading for the main building. "Well, I'm Jirous doofus, I guess. And I'll just have to find a way to convince her!" he pumped his fist in the air next to Sero.
"Hey man you alright?" Kirishima exhaled loudly sitting himself next to the broody blond taking his silence to mean otherwise.
"I guess in that sense I envy you guys." Jirou said looking at her friends. "I could never do what you guys did, at least not right now."
"What do you mean?" Hagakure asked puzzled.
"Ochaco and I already had this talk before…but to just open yourself up to someone it's too much for me, at least for now. I'm not the type of person who can just open their heart to someone without first making sure it won't get trampled on."
"Oh…" Mina quietly said now understanding where she was coming from. "I guess when you put it that way…it makes sense. And to be honest it wasn't easy to open up to Kiri but when I realized that I was in love with him…I knew there was no going back, and I had to take the plunge."
"As for Ojiro and I…we're basically in the same boat as you Jirou. We're just starting off so no need to push it."
Chuckling Jirou nodded. "I guess Hagakure and I are."
Fidgeting with the hem of her sweater Uraraka kept her eyes on the ground. "How do we know?"
"Huh?"
"I mean how do we know that things will stay the same after? How do we know if things are meant to be?" Thinking back about all her discussions with Ms. Yano and all the thoughts running through her mind afterwards…about the future. Especially when she wasn't even sure what was going on between her and Bakugo at the moment and was even scared to ask. "We're in high school, right? Not everything is written in stone."
"Yeah, but if you really love someone and mean it. How can it not work out if two people are willing to put in the work." Mina countered, hating herself for even asking this but this question had been nagging her for some time now. "Ochaco…have you ever been in love?"
"L-love?" Uraraka eyes widened while feeling herself blush but kept her eyes down. "I…don't…"
Placing her hand on top of hers making the brunettes head snap up, Mina gave her a warm smile already knowing the answer. "It's ok if you don't Ochaco or even if you don't know."
Nodding Uraraka averted her gaze while Mina kept her eyes on her. 'So, my little Chako chips in love…she just doesn't realize it yet.'
"Damn bro…" Kirishima quietly winced, rubbing his eyes and already watching Bakugo walk away. "Bakugo wait…"
