You know I wasn't expecting to start writing the next chapter but whatever, it's not like I need to graduate or anything. So hello again people. I hope that you liked the last chapter and all the introductions I made. I promise it's going to be good and I will use more characters from the owl house so it's not gonna be full on Ocs.
Also once again I'm asking if I rated this fic correctly: I put M bc I'm paranoid but all I'm going to do is having some sexual themes, swears, and descriptions of violence. But I'm not going to write smut or gore soooo… Idk how to label this.
The usual crap:
If you could send me a review that would be great! (not that I´m forcing you), all feedback is appreciated!
English isn't my first language, so please tell me if you spot any mistakes!
Disclaimer: I don't own the owl house, all the characters except my OCs belong to disney and Danna Terrace. Also the credit for this AU idea belongs to morningmark.

-Luz-
Luz was having the weirdest time of her life, first she failed a mission in the most spectacular fashion and then she ended up in an alien world with no magic or demons! Granted the human world was really weird "Are you telling me that they don't have free public healthcare here? How do people live?" And the cultural shock she experienced the first days was disturbing, but after days of exploring this part of the world she decided that she rather liked it here. There was no dictatorship or tyranny (even if Eda often argued that the people in power usually abused it, she hasn't seen that yet). There were no demons waiting to eat the children coming from school, instead all of the animals that she had seen were cuddly squirrels, fat ducks and inoffensive-looking pigeons. The houses weren't alive and the food was delicious! Everything here looked quite good for her, no matter how many times Eda tried to convince her that this world was worse than hers.
One thing did bother her was the fact that the staff that had brought her to this realm was gone, alongside all the relics in that chamber, so that meant that she was literally stuck here like it or not, and it was getting harder to feel bad about that. When she first arrived she was determined to find the staff and come back to her world as fast as she could, only her injuries and Eda's warning managed to convince her to stay put for the time being.
Now that she experienced the wonders of this world she was having second thoughts, she still wanted to go back home but… where was home? Here she didn't have to steal for food and instead earn it by working for it (Eda's arrangement for her situation was weird but she thought it still counted as a job) she didn't have to share her bed with any of the annoying B.A.T.s members or sleep in a cave on her own, instead she got a whole room for herself which was more than she ever had. Here she didn't have to go for dangerous missions just to survive one more day, here she could just… be herself.
Now it's not like she didn't believe in the cause, magic should be free and she was going to fight for it! But there were some times where she resented her mother for this: Camila had raised her as a wild witch and brought her to the fight as soon as she was able to cast combat spells, she had been a good mother but she never tried to give Luz a normal life, or the freedom of choice for that matter. To make things worse she didn't know how the things were back in the boiling isles, the entire vault disappeared alongside three coven guards. The emperor is surely thinking that the rebels who did this had them and probably will search for her friends which made Luz extra worried, sure she and the other kids would fight a lot but that didn't mean that she wanted something bad happening to them! And Raine had been so sweet to her… They were the one who brought her in and gave her a home. She would hate it if they suffered for her fault.
"Calm down Luz! This train of thoughts doesn't help anyone!" She snapped herself from her worries.
Currently she was going along with phase 1 of her plan to go back to the isles: get accustomed with the human world. Eda had been right when she stopped her the other day, going around in her usual attire would raise suspicion and the last thing she wanted was getting involved with the human government even if she thought Belos was way worse. After a little bit of learning Eda decided to put her to a test and sent her to do some shopping, so here she was: In the middle of a human street, trying to act like a normal human, and pretending as if she wasn't lost…
She didn't want to disappoint Eda but the streets here were so confusing! In the boiling isles they had differentiating and relevant names! Like you knew that you had to hold your breath in poison gas street, or that you should never bring money in goblin road.
But here streets were named after dead people she didn't know about and the gigantic buildings didn't make it better! She had to use landmarks to guide herself and that got her to the shop, but when she exited a cute dog and her owner were walking by and she was so fluffy that she had to pet her. When she was done apologizing to the human who didn't appreciate some random girl jumping on her dog, Luz realized that she had lost her way back to the owl house and started panicking.
She had seen some guards (or policemen as Eda called them) pass nearby her and Luz wondered if she should approach them for directions, they sure would know but she had her doubts. She had been educating herself on the flat crystal ball… window… whatever… and she had seen what human authorities did to criminals, according to this Netflix thing the standard procedure consisted on chases through buildings and explosions with those wheeled things that humans used to move, then they would bring the subject to a chamber with a magic mirror so they could spy on him, the last part was the interrogation where two guards played the "Bad cop and good cop", whatever that was it seemed to always make the culprit confess.
Then Eda caught her "Studying" and scolded her saying that those movies were not realistic at all.
:Three days ago:
"Really Kid?"
Eda's voice brought Luz back to reality and almost made her fall from where she was sitting on the couch. She had been so interested in the program that was going on that she lost herself, Luz was actually a bit ashamed by this.
"Hi Eda!" she greeted her cheerfully "Did you close the shop already? Do you wanna come and watch with me?"
"Nah never been interested on K-dramas" she slumped on the couch alongside Luz and snatched the remote from her hands "And that's enough for you too"
"Noooo, Edaaa!" Luz whined when she turned it off "He was about to confess to her!"
"That's what you think but then always something happens that interrupts them and they keep postponing until the last episode, that's how they hook you" She shaked her head when Luz looked at her weirdly "Lily made me watch so many romances that I know how they work, but nevermind that, when did you learn how to use netflix?"
"Oh the crystal ball thingy? We have something similar at home" She made a dismissive wave "I was dying of boredom the second day I got here, you were gone and king didn't want to play with me. I thought of seeing what kind of programs you have here, so I started messing around with that thing and I managed to find this show"
"So you're telling me that in less than two days in this dimension you managed to operate a smart TV?"
"Like I said we have something like this at home, besides" She snatched the remote from Eda "The buttons on this thingy behave in a similar way than the spells we use to control the crystal balls"
"Luz this morning you burned my VHS that I had from the 90s with a fireball because you thought that it was going to suck your soul" She just looked at Luz with an unamused expression "and now suddenly you are using technology from the last five years just fine, are you kidding me?"
Luz just smiled sheepishly and rubbed her neck, she scooped a bit further from the woman and looked away.
"Never mind that, listen kid I don't care what you do in your free time as long as you help with the shop, but I thought that the idea was for you to get used to the "human customs"
"But I'm doing that! This is like an entire library of information with sound and visuals! And it's not as boring as going to the library!"
"Wait so this is all you've been doing for research? K-dramas?"
"No no, I actually have been educating myself on all sorts of subjects" she said while using the remote to show Eda what she had been watching "For example I was unaware that the humans that are poor have to compete against each other in a series of games for children in order to gain money, and the losers are brutally killed to entertain the rich people" (Plz someone tell me you got that reference)
Eda just stared blankly at her.
"Kid, remind me to never let you have twitter or facebook. Next time you are going to tell me that the earth is flat and vaccines don't work…"
"Wait, the Earth isn't flat?"
Eda just opened her mouth to retort but closed it "Okay you get a pass on that since you come from another dimension, but you shouldn't believe most stuff you see"
"But Eda! This Netflix thing has helped me learn a lot about your world! I know about politics, Law, animals, and courting…"
"Ok kid I'm going to stop right there" Said Eda taking a deep breath "Although some of the shows there are a good way for you to get an idea on how things work here, you can't follow them as your guide. You do know that those shows are fake right? Like they are just actors playing pretend"
"What! No way" Luz covered her mouth with her hand "But I saw blood! A-and I saw people jumping from buildings and…"
"Wait, didn't you say that you had a similar thing in the boiling isles? Don't tell me actors really die there while playing their part"
"Oh no, most of it it's just illusions, and since humans can't do magic I thought…"
"Oh ho ho, I see that you underestimate us. Well for your information miss which we humans managed to live quite well without magic thanks to our toys. Some even may say that we transcended it!"
"Well I don't know about it but your crystal ball is better than ours for sure"
"It's called a TV Luz, you'll have to get used to the name" Eda sighed and turned the TV off "Okey something is clear to me, you are not ready to go outside to the human world if your only knowledge comes from this"
"What no! Eda I'm ready!" She had been outside before and marveled at the surroundings but only with Eda's supervision and within a short distance of the Owl House "I've been stuck in this house for days! The movies might not be real but I learned lots of stuff about the human world, I'm ready!"
"Oh really?" Eda had the same mischievous smile as the night they played poker and Luz had learned to fear it "care to put that theory to the test?"
"What do you mean?"
"I was planning on making a call but if you think that you are ready then why don't you do it for me? That way you can show your expertise with technology, and we can also see how you handle human interaction!"
"No Eda, I do many of your chores already!"
"Well then let's make it more interesting then" Eda's eyes were practically gleaming "If you do this correctly you'll prove that you are ready for the outside world and I'll let you go on your own whenever you want"
"And if I don't do it correctly?"
"You'll do the laundry for one week"
Luz gulped and considered it for a moment. She had seen Eda use the phone thing to talk to people and she learned that it worked pretty similar to scrolls, in fact much of the "technology" here was comparable to the magic relics in the isles. In fact that's why Eda lets her do the laundry, the machine in this world is pretty similar to the ones in the boiling isles. But on the other hand she has never talked with any other human besides Eda, and the woman's smile told her that she should back down. She had seen and smelt Eda's dirty clothes and Luz was so not looking forward to doing laundry for a week, but on the other hand what did she had to lose?
"Ok I'm in"
"Good" That smug smile again "Now tell me, are you hungry?"
"Uuuum" Luz actually realized that it was really late and her last meal had been hours ago "Yeah I could eat"
"Perfect" she rummaged in her purse for a while until she found a piece of paper "I'm craving pizza tonight, here you go kid"
"Excuse me?"
"This is the phone number from the pizza place, call them and order a pizza for us" When Luz looked at her weirdly she facepalmed "Oh yeah right pizza is a type of food, don't worry kid you're gonna love it. You just have to call the place, order a pizza with pepperonis, sausage, and extra cheese. After that just tell her the address and ask how much does it cost"
"Ahhh Uh-huh" Luz was struggling with keeping all the information.
"Give me a second, I'll make it even easier for you" Eda grabbed a small paper from the table and wrote some things on it "That's it now you only need to repeat this stuff, easy peasy"
Luz sighed and grabbed the papers, she was having second thoughts about this but it was too late to back down. And besides she wanted to make that smug smirk of hers disappear!
"Fine I'll do it" She marched towards the kitchen where the phone was and looked at the paper with numbers, she thought it was extremely rare that the human world used the same numbers and letters from the boiling isles. Well it was a good coincidence, otherwise she would have had to learn how to white the language and that would take way too long.
She took a deep breath and pressed the numbers in the machine, she was scared but she wouldn't back down. Besides if her days living with Eda showed her something, is that witches and humans are not that different! So if she could socially interact with witches just fine, then there was no doubt she could do it with humans as well!
A few seconds passed since she pressed the last button and a strange sound came from the other side, one moment later someone answered. It was at that moment that she realized the mistake of her previous statement, it was true that witches and humans were alike but Luz forgot that she couldn't socially interact with anyone at all. Which meant…
She was screwed.
"Hello this is Danny's pizzas. Can I take your order?" A fememnine voice appeared from within the device.
"Mmm yeah, Uhhh" Luz started sweating and looked back at Eda. The older woman was trying to hide her laughter in a corner.
She took a huge breath and calmed herself.
"Yes I wanted to order a pizza" She stuck her tongue at Eda.
"Toppings?"
"Uhh…" She went to read the paper that Eda gave her with the order only to squint at it, she could read just fine but Eda's calligraphy was so bad that most of the things did not make sense to her.
"Eda what is this?" She whispered with her face away from the phone "I can't read it at all!"
"What I just wrote everything you should say, it's not my fault you can't read it" Eda had a glint in her eyes that told Luz she definitely had planned this in advance "I could tell you again if you want, but then you would lose our bet"
"No thank you" Luz Noceda never backed down!
"Hello?" Came a voice from the phone.
"Uhh yeah" Luz squinted her eyes trying to read "A pizza with Nepperonis? Usage? aaand uuhh… extra cream?"
"Pepperonis, sausage, and extra cheese got it. Anything else?"
Luz had no idea how the girl at the other side got all of that, but she was thankful for it nevertheless. Once she gave the address and asked for the price Luz hung up feeling accomplished.
"See I told you that I could do it!" Luz acted as if she didn't panic during the whole thing.
"Well kid you definitely impressed me" Eda's tone told Luz she wasn't impressed at all "But that's only the first round, you gotta do the second half"
"Second half?" She thought it was done!
"Yeah they are going to bring the pizza here and you'll have to receive them and pay for it"
"What but the bet was to see if I could handle a phone call"
"It was also to see how you develop around humans and what a better way to do that than in person?" Eda's gaze softened a bit "Besides you need to go through this before you go outside searching for that staff of yours, don't you wanna go back home?"
"Yes I do!"
"Then you gotta learn how to intermingle with us, also I can't wait until you are ready to manage the cash register"
Luz gulped, ever since yesterday she had been helping with Eda's shop doing small jobs here and there but she didn't feel ready to do customer service.
A few minutes passed and the doorbell rang, she jumped from the surprise causing King to wake up from his nap. Luz grabbed the money and ran towards the door, she gave Eda one last annoyed glance and she practically slammed the door open.
"Hi! Hello! Ehhh, How's it going? fellow human!" Luz facepalmed internally.
"Hi" A teenager with a boring expression stood on the other side of the door, he wasn't looking at her but rather at a paper on top of a cardboard box "This is 301 of the whitbane street? The one with extra cheese?"
"Ye-yep, that's the one and only! Haha" Luz had memorized the owl house address previously.
"Ok then that will be…"
"What's taking so long here huh?" Eda suddenly appeared on the doorway, fully getting in between them "Luz sweety did you forget the money again? Ah dang I told you to grab it when you left, I'm sorry my girl here can be forgetful"
Luz was astonished, Eda interrupted the conversation and she was doing good! Well no as good as she would've liked, but still! She had no idea what Eda was talking about because she had the money in her hand, also since when Eda called her "sweetie"? After chatting for a while with the teen that looked like he wanted to be everywhere but here she paid him and grabbed the box.
"See you later!"
"Whatever man" The teen just turned around.
Luz waited until Eda closed the door to start yelling at her.
"What in the Titan was that! You tell me to learn how to interact with humans but you won't let me do it?"
As a response Eda just glared at her and flicked one of her ears.
"Ouch! Why would you do that?" Luz said as she rubbed her… ear… wait a second. She rushed towards the mirror in the living room and gasped. Now she realized what Eda was trying to tell her, Luz's pointy ears were exposed! The few times she went outside Luz used an illusion to make her ears look round, but this time she had forgotten due to the nerves.
"Yep, you are lucky I noticed that" Eda said while putting the box in the table "I got used to seeing you like that so I didn't say anything at first, but if it wasn't for me getting between you two he would've seen them"
"Thank you Eda" Luz felt bad for yelling at her.
"No problem kid, but I thought that you had a magic thingy to cover them up"
"It's called an illusion spell, it lasts as long as I'm concentrating on it"
"Hmm so you are saying we have to rely on your ability to focus in order to make it work? That's not good"
"Hey!"
"Oh so you are saying that you are good at concentrating?"
"Okay, point taken"
"Good, wait here for a minute" Then she went upstairs. A few moments later she returned with a piece of cloth in her hands "Heads up!"
She tossed it and Luz caught it to inspect it, it was just a brown beanie with some pins on it.
"Use that to hide your ears, you don't need your concentration for that" her smile became softer "It was mine when I was your age, I used it to tie it down to the school's flagpole to replace the US flag"
"Thank you Eda" it warmed her heart knowing that she cared about Luz. Sure the older woman had a strange way of showing it, but still.
"You're welcome" She opened the box and grabbed a slice "also if you are wondering you totally failed the test by the way"
"What but-"
"All the stammering and the ear thingy? Yeah no, that's a fail in my book. You are doing laundry for the whole week"
Luz groaned.
:The present:
Luz had been wearing that beenie ever since the incident out of fear and Eda reminds her about it every single day, it was like a source of amusement for the older woman. Right now Luz was trying to lay low and get used to the human realm, once she was ready she could start looking for the plane shifting staff. In fact she had been subtly casting tracking spells to see if she could detect a trace of magic, but so far nothing.
Even though she was determined to go back, a small part of her (a guilty part of her) wasn't in a rush to go back to the isles. Today was her week anniversary in the human realm, it has been one entire week since that day at the vault and Luz did not know what to think of how the others would feel about her disappearance. Who knows, maybe after this whole mess was solved she could go back and forth between realms? Maybe she could have Earth as her vacation spot.
Suddenly someone started yelling nearby and Luz hid behind a corner purely out of instinct. In the isles fights in a city meant coven guards so she was used to hiding.
-Willow-
Willow was baffled, why did it have to be her? From all the people in this town that could have crossed in her path it had to be her? This was surely a prank.
The day had started nicely, she had finished all the homework the school left her for the summer already and since her part time job didn't require her to attend today she was entirely free. She had arranged to go and watch a movie with Gus after she was done running some errands for her parents and she was really excited about it, her friend had been on vacation for the last couple of weeks so they didn't have time to hang out until recently. Even the weather was the nicest it has been in a while, and everything was right in the world.
Then she had to ruin it.
Willow usually didn't like hating people, it drained her energy to do so and she considered it not worth her time. That's why she would never retaliate or engage with the people that bullied her and just endured it, she never paid attention to them or the things they said to her because she knew that's what they wanted her to do. Most people stopped doing it once she denied them the attention they were looking for, but lately she met some people that just wouldn't leave her alone no matter what she did and harassed her everytime they could. It was actually great that they were in the middle of summer vacation and some of them graduated last year, but still… She wasn't looking forward to the next semester.
It was okay… she just had to breathe, "Out of sight, out of mind". That was her slogan but right now it wasn't helping much, especially with the green-haired menace standing in front of her.
Amity Blight was the daughter of the owners and CEOs of blight industries, the local robot manufacturing company. Now that might make her look like a billionaire but the truth is that Amity's parents weren't that rich or successful, in fact they were just above average. Sure they had a company that could maintain them and enough money to not be considered middle class, but they were quite far away from the aristocrats they pretended to be.
Still that didn't stop Amity from acting as if she owned the place, her whole presence was demanding as if she was telling you "why aren't you bowing down to me already" with just her pose: Her chin raised high with her hands on her hips and looking down on you, to make things worse everyone here seemed to be okay with her trash attitude and fed her ego.
Teachers and adults in general adored her: an athlete, top student, and head of the student council? Wow, everyone should aspire to be like her. Not to mention that her parents are the employers of many people in town, so for most of them she was untouchable.
People her age were worse, even when some of them knew how she behaved they did nothing to stop it. For them Amity was the head of the social hierarchy pyramid that was high school, perfect grades, good at sports, extremely popular, her parents were rich, and she was quite beautiful. Oh yeah, from their point of view, she had it all.
Men were even worse than girls. Her tall and slim figure combined with her curves? That perfect pale skin, with those exotic golden eyes? Her dignified posture and elegant speech? It drove them mad, several times a week someone would confess to her only to be rejected. Still many of them didn't give up. Too bad that she was gay.
And now this bitch… (Ugh Willow didn't like to swear at all, not even in her thoughts) was towering over her with an irked look. Willow had been fine just walking in this alleway, but Amity just came out of nowhere and made her trip into the ground.
"You should watch where you are going Park"
"Me! You are the one that crossed my path! And you made me drop my groceries!" Willow complained while pointing at the bags on the muddy floor.
"Don't blame me for your mistakes" She looked down for a second "Oh I think those bags of yours splashed some mud in my clothes, are you going to take responsibility for this? Because this dress isn't exactly cheap"
"Ju-just go away Blight!" Willow stood up
"As you wish Park"
Amity just turned away and left with a *humpf*, leaving Willow alone in an alleyway covered in mud.
She breathed deeply to calm her nerves and counted to ten, that strategy always seemed to work for her but today wasn't the case. After a while she went and picked up her bags to look if anything broke, it didn't look like it at first glance.
While she was checking on her stuff some of the trash bins that were behind her fell on the ground and she heard a quiet moan, she turned around in that direction only to slightly see a figure quickly hiding behind a dumpster. Willow humphed and put her hands on her hips, she was thinking that Amity had left her alone way too easily. It was a usual thing with her friends and the rest of popular girls: One of them just distracted her with something and the other (usually someone that would do anything for popularity) snuck behind and pulled a prank on her, this method was for them to avoid getting detention and it worked fairly often. Well it wasn't going to work today! She grabbed her bags and marched to confront this new bully.
"You can come out now" She said while approaching the dumpster "I know you are there"
She thought she heard a small gasp but was not sure. Willow gave the person enough time to come out but her patience ran out, she finally jumped at the other side of the dumpster to surprise them.
"What do you… want?" There was no one around the corner even though she swore she had seen something.
"Strange… it must have been my imagination then" She turned around to go on with the rest of her day when her face collided into something strange and soft. Then she heard a yelp and saw traces of brown hair in her dizzy state, she determined she hadn't crashed into something but rather someone.
Not even looking at the person she bumped into, Willow grabbed something from her bags and started to hit them with it. Now Willow wasn't a fighter of any kind so she just closed her while whacking the stranger with whatever she was holding in one hand and her closed fist in the other, she was certain that this person was the prankster hiding in the dumpster.
"Kah! Agh! No! Why? Stop!" The person cried everytime Willow hit them and she recognized the voice of a female.
"Great, another one of Amity's cheerleaders"
"Leave me alone!"
"I didn't do anything! Ugh! Ouch! Please stop!" It just occurred to Willow that this person could be just a bystander that just randomly passed by.
She stepped back and analyzed the situation: Sure enough a girl was standing in front of her with a few bruises and… Where those petals? She looked at her hand and she saw that she was holding the bouquet of roses that her father asked her to bring for the shop and it was in a really bad state. Willow facepalmed, she just attempted to use roses to smash a stranger and totally ruined the last of her items in her to do list.
Even if her weapon of choice was ridiculous it had done some damage to this girl: Not only was she covered in the remains of the roses but also there were a few bruises that she had made with her fist. Honestly Willow was impressed, all her life she had been told by her peers that she was weak.
She took this chance to examine the girl, she had a dark skin color with big brown eyes. Her clothes consisted of a shirt with purple and white stripes, an old green jacket, and some ripped jeans. On top of her long, brown hair there was an orange beanie.
Now Willow didn't care much about fashion or appearances, but she had to admit that she looked really suspicious. Especially since she appeared out of nowhere in this closed alley, she didn't want to be judgemental but it was better to be safe than sorry.
"Aww that hurts" This girl was pulling some thorns from her face.
"Sorry about that" Willow looked to see if she had any thorns in her hand "You kind of scared me"
"I-it's okay, the thorns only went through a few layers of skin" The girl answered smiling.
"*sigh* Well that's great, but did I hurt your face or something?" Willow put the damaged bouquet away "I usually don't go around hitting people"
"Really? From the way you hit me I thought you were a professional!" That made both girls laugh "Also don't worry I understand, I would be on edge too if that girl treated me like that"
"Wait, you heard that?" Ok maybe this girl was with Amity after all.
"Oh well I was just passing and… I kind of overheard what you two were saying"
"Did Amity pay you to prank me?" It would be the first time that Amity went that low but Willow wouldn't put it past her.
"Wow you're getting close"
"Answer me please" Willow usually wasn't this straightforward with people but her patience ran out.
"Nono I swear! I was just snooping around and I heard things! I thought there was a fight going on or something, I don't even know this Amity chick…"
Willow just took a deep breath and pinched the bridge of her nose, she really wanted to believe this girl and move on with her day but her encounter with Amity left her on edge. These situations were usual but with her circle of friends, Amity never engaged in the pranking, she just plainly ignored her.
"I… I'm sorry about all of this"
"It's ok, I shouldn't have been spying on you"
"It's not like I was trying to be discreet or anything" she shrugged "In fact I think that a lot of people in the street heard us"
An awkward silence settled in.
"Soooo" The girl said after a while "I'm Luz, what's your name?"
"Hah I'm Willow, pleased to meet you Luz" This girl's smile was contagious
"Pleased to meet you too" She finished cleaning herself from the previous attack "Now I don't want to meddle in things that are your business…"
"Too late for that" When she said Luz's face she decided it was the wrong thing to joke about "sorry, please continue"
"Well after hearing what I heard it's easy to assume that you don't like this girl right?"
Willow laughed, understatement of the decade "You are right! How did you guess that?"
"Ahh those are my detective skills at work!" she made a funny voice while wiggling her eyebrows, then she calmed down and looked at her with a more serious tone "But you really looked like you had a bad time with her, I'm not usually good for this stuff buuut… Do you wanna try talking with me about it? I swear I won't tell anyone!"
Willow pondered this for a minute, was she really about to talk about this personal stuff with a girl she just barely met? A part of her was still thinking she might be some sidekick doing dirty work for the popular girls with the hope of joining their little group (there were a lot of people that fit that description). But on the other hand this girl was nice to her after Willow repeatedly hit her and she wanted to listen to her. Willow could count the amount of people willing to do that with one hand and besides, she really needed to vent.
"Ok fine but if you tell anyone about this you are dead to me" Willow put her most threatening face.
"I swear on my honor" Luz announced happily.
"Well then come along, I still need to do some chores" She started walking towards the exit of the alley "We can talk on the way"
:Twenty Five minutes later:
"... And then he realized he left the door and the window open he tried to go back and get rid of the evidence, but then he got stuck halfway through the window when the wind closed it" Luz finished telling the story
"Wait, so you're telling me that this guy tried to climb outside a house after drinking for the first time, and you guys let him?"
"It was only a two story house! We all thought he could make it" Luz laughed
"You just said he was drunk" Willow just stared incredulously at her.
"Well in his defense he did it pretty well two times in a row, but don't worry he only hanged there for a couple minutes after Raine noticed him"
"Ohh, were they angry?"
"Nah, Raine is more of the 'I'm deeply disappointed of you' type"
"Okey, wow I think the place where you grew up sounds quite scary after hearing the things you told me "
"You could say that!" The latina girl seemed proud of it.
They walked while Willow vented her feelings about Amity and her actual situation in school. At first she didn't trust her much but after seeing what kind of person Luz was Willow shared more stuff. In exchange Luz told her a bit about her childhood: Apparently she has been traveling with her mom most of her life and in recent years she joined a commune, this girl really did live an exciting life.
They were done with her chores and were just chatting at the side of the road. They were enjoying some sodas and Willow happily paid for Luz when she said she didn't have money.
"Well Luz I want to know something"
"Yeah no problem, ask away!" Luz said while enjoying her drink.
"Well I don't want to assume but from what you told me it seems that you never went to school" After seeing Luz's shocked face she hurried to correct herself "N-not that is any of my business! You don't have to answer that"
"No don't worry it's okey" she reassured her "Yeah I was homeschooled, there wasn't enough time for school when we were always on the move"
"Ohh" Willow silently digested that "Well now that you moved here, are you planning on attending?" She tried to not let out how interested she was in her answer.
"I-I don't know? I've only been here for a week or so, I want to get used to this place first"
"Oh yeah, well that's reasonable"
"What's the matter?"
"It's just that it would be great to have another friend in school, a girl friend with a space in between" the latina laughed at that "Gus is great but it's not like I can talk about everything with him, and well once the semester starts the bullies will start too…"
"Why do you let them do that?" Willow was surprised by this question "It's not like you can't defend yourself" and she pointed to the band-aid covering a bruise she made on her face.
Willow laughed "It's just, they are always saying that I'm useless and well… I try to not listen but sometimes it's hard"
"Nonsense! You are great! The thing that you did with those flowers against me was like wow. you should try to do that to the bullies"
"I will buy roses when the school starts then" They both giggled at that "Well this was fun but I gotta go, my parents sure are waiting for me and it's getting late"
Luz suddenly opened her eyes "Oh mana! Eda! I was supposed to go back ages ago, quick do you know how to go to whitbane street Willow?"
Willow laughed and gave the directions to the girl and since Luz didn't trust her attention span she donated a page of her notebook to write things on. She also gave the girl her number in it, just to keep contact.
When they were ready to go she checked her bags to see if the things inside were damaged, with a grunt she realized that yes a lot of them were broken and not to mention the damaged bouquet. Her parents were going to kill her.
"That bad?" Luz asked.
"Not that bad but I'll definitely get scolded for it" she didn't want to explain the whole amity thing, her parents had enough stuff to worry about.
"Hey what's that?" Luz suddenly yelled and pointed something at her side.
Willow looked but couldn't see anything besides some pigeons eating something on the ground. She turned back and saw Luz doing some weird stuff with her hand.
"What?"
"Oh nothing I was just admiring the view! Anyway I'll call you later, see ya!" With that the teen basically ran away.
Willow shook her head, she sure was strange… but in a nice way. She picked up her bags to go home when something caught her eye: Everything that was broken had been repaired and the bouquet of roses was as good as it was before the fall.
"But how? most of it was ruined a second ago! Even the mud is gone! What happened?"
xxxxx
And there you go, this is by far the longest and I don't plan on doing anything as long as this for a while (although I might end up doing it bc ADHD).
Now one thing I want to mention is the personalities: Even if I'm using the beta designs for this I am sticking with the personalities of OG Luz Willow and Gus. I don't know if beta Amity is different but I'm gonna use the way she is portrayed in some fanfics I've read.
Also if people are wondering how Luz is too shy to talk to a pizza guy but has enough guts to ask Willow if something is wrong, well the reason is that three days have passed since that day and she gained more confidence while exploring the human world. Also Willow attacking Luz was a good way to break the ice and that's the thing she was incapable of doing.
