Here we go another one! I'm gonna be honest I had the Idea for this whole chapter ready as soon as I posted the last one and just had to type it, but my lazy ass decided not to do it "Maybe if I update too soon they'll get used to it and once I'm back at taking a month between uploads they'll just stop reading or something" Pfft, the excuses I invent to be lazy.

So I heard that we are getting an official date for season 2b, yay so excited! Something I feel like I need to adress: Even if I'm taking most events from the witches among humans comic, it does not mean that I'm not gonna take stuff from the show and put it here. In fact the way that Luz met Willow in this fic was based on how they met in the show, granted I had to do some twists to fit my plot but the general idea stayed (The way Willow hit Luz with a rose is a reference to when she attacked her with her vines). That's pretty much the whole deal: Most of the plot is based on the comic while some events will be inspired by the show and I will add smaller things on my own.

If you want to there's something you can do for me: I'm pretty new with writing fanfics so Idk which site ( or Ao3) is better or if they have any advantages, so if anyone could give me the cons and pros of the two sites I would appreciate it. I'm not going to stop uploading on both sites but I wanna know, it makes me really curious.

The usual crap:

If you could send me a review that would be great! (not that I´m forcing you), all feedback is appreciated!

English isn't my first language , please tell me if you spot any mistakes!.

Disclaimer: I don't own the owl house, all the characters except my OCs belong to Disney and Danna Terrace. This AU idea belongs to moringmark.

The Owl House/ Saturday July 10th 12:00 AM

-Eda-

Eda was starting to worry.

Which had been an unusual occurrence during most of her life, during her youth she had been the most carefree person ever (Well she still kinda was) and she did not know the meaning of the word stress or responsability. Homework and grades? Nah she had better things to do, higher education was overrated anyways. House chores? Pfft, Lilith could handle it later. Stable relationships? If they were really interested in her, they should be able to handle her in her worst days. Paying taxes? Those were for losers!

But ever since slowing down and actually living in a home that she owned did gave her some sense of responsibility, that feeling got deeper once she got her two freeloaders: The cat she rescued and a magical teenager that literally fell on her car, they were hard to deal with but with time Eda became fond of them.

But it came with a side effect: Now that she was actually responsible for another human being her stress levels had been rising, it's not that Luz was hard to take care of but she simply wasn't used to worrying about other people. Lilith had been independent from an early age and all the people that got along with her were usually fine on their own.

A good example of the changes Luz brings in her is the way she reacted to her arriving two hours late the other day and she reacted just like her mother used to do back when she came back from partying. Then the kid got the stupidest idea in her head: She wanted to go to school now.

"Hah! As if I ever let that happen, have her being submitted to blind obedience? Pointless homework? Capitalist brainwashing? Nope, not on my watch"

But this time the witch showed a little bit of backbone and tried to convince her, then when Eda didn't back down she showed some teenage rebellion, and it was adorable. Luz was someone kind by nature so it was actually challenging for her to be rude or stay mad at someone, Eda thought she needed to toughen up to survive in the human world so she took this as a good sign, much to the witch's annoyance.

Luz really tried to show Eda she was serious about this but most of her attempts seemed to backfire because Eda saw any sign of insurrection as a major improvement of her personality, whenever she refused to do any chore the woman would just pat her in the head and say "Aww the baby is learning, now go do it or you are going to start paying me rent". Then the girl escalated things by refusing to talk with her at all but Eda actually liked the silence in the house now. Yeah Luz picked the wrong opponent for this…

"Seriously, what's wrong with that kid? Anyone on her age would kill for being in her place, a free place to live, no school needed, and being mentored by me? What's not to love about that? Besides the american school system takes everything unique and turns it into mush, can't let that happen to her.

She took a swing at her wine and looked outside, right now she was enjoying her time off work (And off teenagers) on the balcony with a glass of wine on her hand and king on her lap. The cat lazyly stirred and looked at her with annoyed eyes, then he leaped off her lap.

"But shouldn't I be giving her the chance to choose? Expand her horizons? After all that's what I wanted when I was her age…"

"Well what do you think King? After all I've pretty much raised you and I think I did a pretty good job even if I say so myself… Wait, king? Where did you go?"

She turned around just to see the cat leaping off the table in an attempt to catch a butterfly, only to miss and crash into a wall full force.

"I gotta get that Kid to school"

Ten minutes later

"Ok this is getting ridiculous, where is that girl?"

She had been enjoying her time of peace and quietness but this was taking too long, she had sent Luz to nearby places so she should've been here already. Eda didn't know what to do and she did not want to go outside to chase her, so she turned the TV on to distract herself. She randomly flipped through channels until she saw a news guy with an interesting headline.

"And here we are live with Johnny from baker street where we just witnessed a fight between an enormous plant of an unknown origin, and what looked like a magical superhero?" The News guy was an older man with a bunch of grey hairs and a white suit.

"WAIT WHAT?"

"That's right Dan, several people this morning saw a giant plant monster emerge from the ground and start attacking the cars around it. Many people were injured and some got captured by it, the police attempted a counter attack but it wasn't successful" The TV screen showed a brunette reporter in his 20s with a white shirt holding a microphone, the street behind him was filled with cracks.

"Now that seems something Disney might pull off to promote their new theme park based on the marvel movies, but what are the rumors I hear about this wizard joining the fight? Surely it's fake, right John?"

"I wish I could tell you that Dan, but it's true. Minutes after the whole thing started a girl wearing a staff, a cowl, and cape appeared, she talked a little with the officers and then went to fight the plant herself. There are several reports of pedestrians who saw her shoot fire and ice towards the plant"

"Now you must be pulling my leg, you want me to believe that a real magician showed here on gravesfield? It doesn't matter how many eyewitnesses were there, I find that hard to believe" The way he said those words made it seem obvious that this was a prepared speech.

"You don't have to believe them Dan, because we have video evidence of it! That's right, a pedestrian recorded the whole thing and was kind enough to let us use.."

"Oh no…"

The video showed how the plant monster (Eda still had to process that information but she was going to leave it for later, right now her brain was focused on other things) attacked the people with its tendrils and grabbed cars, then it showed how the police struggled to do anything against it and then…

Eda's heart leaped from her throat: A female came down flying in a staff and confronted the plant, her clothes were identical to the ones Luz had been wearing when Eda found her bleeding in the ground, her cowl and cape were covering most of her head but she still could make out a few details and-

"Wait a minute, that isn't Luz!" That girl's skin was way darker, her hair was black not brawn and way too curly to be her "Ok that's a relief, but how many witches are there?"

Eda kept watching as the witch led a group of civilians that had been trapped back to the police, then she hit her staff in the ground and a wall of concrete blocked the vision. The video cut to another point of view: It seemed like the person recording went to a higher point of view to see everything, Eda could see the witch flying around and several plants chasing her. The plants that got near her exploded in flames or got frozen in ice, but strangely enough the video didn't show the witch actually casting spells, just raising her hand.

"This looks a lot like the spells Luz uses, what's happening?" The other day Eda asked Luz to show her more magic out of boredom and she was marveled at the use of combat spells "Wait that's it! The kid said that she can make illusions! So she disguised her appearance, nice one girl!"

Then the video ended and the news shifted to the reporter dismissing this whole thing as Hollywood's next big scheme and telling people to not be fooled by this but Eda stopped paying attention to him. She turned the TV off and wondered what might have caused this, Luz wasn't a fool: She knew what was at stake here and she wouldn't pick a fight with some random… Ugh she totally would. Luz was a good kid and if she saw some people getting mauled by a plant she would step in without a doubt.

"I gotta have a talk with her once she comes, speaking of which did they say how the battle ended?" She turned the TV back on but the news was already covering something else, she flipped through channels until she found one covering the subject, the reporter said that the magical girl left the scene without talking to the media or the police once the military arrived. "Well that's something, but if it is true then why hasn't she come back yet?"

"Eda?" A voice came from downstairs and she bolted towards it, she found Luz in a pitiful state: Her robes were dirty and wet, her exposed arms were covered in bruises, and she was panting as if she just ran a marathon "I got… your groceries"

She collapsed in the middle of the living room.

A hotel in the middle of the road/ Sunday July 11th 22:00 PM

-Hunter-

"I got another one! Kid, come here to record this!" Abigail's excited thrill could be heard from around the hotel room.

"I'm coming! Also, can you keep it down?" Hunter grabbed his pen and stack of papers as he ran towards her.

"I brought the food!" Wrath called from the door.

The group was in high spirits and for a good reason: They raided successfully the human's storage building two days ago (Luckily without killing anyone), not only did they take all of the magic items that were there but they managed to take large amounts of human money from there. Hunter was still a bit conflicted on that matter, he used to apprehend thieves after all, but the other two managed to convince him that it was for a good cause.

With the money they were able to afford transport and a temporary place to live, not to mention that now they had better access to food and commodities. But what they were truly grateful for was the fifteen magic items that they were able to find, even if the remains of the plane-shifting staff weren't there. The best thing was that now they had something to occupy their time (well something else besides surviving), they had to identify all of the relics in their power and figure out what they were good for.

The person that was happiest about it was ironically Abigail, after satisfying her bloodlust with that fight and getting a new project to do with her free time she was in the best mood Hunter has seen her, also the chance that one of these relics may be able to heal her leg made her work even faster than the other two.

"What did you find?" Hunter inspected the item that she had in her hands, it looked like someone glued a bell and a fork together.

"Shh, back off" Abigail took a deep breath and then screamed into the bell part. Hunter was about to yell at her but the sound immediately died down until it was completely silent, the artifact vivrated and started to shine.

"What was that?"

"Give me something to break, now"

Before Hunter could protest Wrath, who was listening to the whole thing, came towards them with a glass jar, he deposited it on the table near them and retreated. Abigail smacked the fork part of the artifact with her fingers and aimed it towards the jar. It produced a loud sound that reminded Hunter of her scream, rippling waves of energy were shot from the relic and shattered the jar.

"A sonic blast" Hunter was taking notes while he marveled at the item.

"It does more than that: It can nullify, absorb, and redirect sounds of any quality. Oh yeah this one's a keeper" She stretched and got up with difficulty from the chair she was sitting "I think that's the third one we have identified right? I think that's enough for me today, I'm gonna go grab food and then I'll hit the sack"

"Wait, you have to clean the mess you made!" Hunter said, pointing to the shards of glass on the floor.

"Wrath is into that already" She pointed to the bigger demon that was already grabbing the broom "Also I'm taking these babies with me" she said grabbing the relics they identified today.

"Hey wait a second!" Hunter put a hand on top of her arm, stopping her "Why are you taking all three of them with you? Are you going to use them as stuffed animals? Besides I was the one that discovered how the other two worked"

"Yeah well you got your super fancy staff that you refuse to share so I guess it's my turn to get stingy with magic items" She said while shoving him off "You also have that part of the plane staff we are looking so it's more than fair" with that she left towards her room with the relics.

Hunter just grunted and let her go, he knew better than to try to reason with her.

He finished his notes while eating on the table as Wrath cleaned the mess, some staff from the hotel came to ask about some noise complaints (probably wasn't a good idea to use a sonic weapon in a building with people) and luckily they believed whatever excuse he thought at the moment. Hunter considered investigating some more but he was pretty tired, and since he didn't want to go to sleep just yet he just turned on the flat crystal ball to entertain himself for a while.

"And here we are live from channel six! Right now we are covering the last news from gravesfield! According to our sources this morning several people saw what looked like a magical girl fighting a gigantic plant with spells. We have Jim covering that story but before we will show you the video, viewer discretion is advised…"

Hunter choked on his drink and actually spat a little, he started a coughing fit and tried to call for Wrath but he couldn't articulate words at the moment, so he threw the remote towards his comrade to draw his attention. The big demon wasn't hurt but still grunted at Hunter with disgust, the boy just pointed at the screen where a video was showing a witch rescuing some people and… Yep there was no doubt, it was the same wild witch that raided the vault and caused all of this.

"I can't believe it, that's actually her! Quick, we have to find out where that town is! Start making travel plans and.."

"Hey wait a minute" Hunter got in front of him as soon as he could swallow his drink "Wrath, buddy, let's think about this ok?" He said with a nervous smile.

"That's what I'm talking about! We gotta wake the captain to start making plans!"

"That's not what I'm saying" Hunter took a deep breath before saying the next part "I think that we need to truly consider if we are going to uhh… share this information with her"

"And why wouldn't we?" Wrath huffed and crossed his arms.

"Think about it: Abigail has a personal vendetta against her, even more than us. If we tell her about this she is going to have a tunnel vision to get back at her, I'm not saying that we shouldn't" He was quick to add when he saw the demon's expression "Of course I would love to eliminate that pest and go back to our realm as quickly as possible, but think of the situation. Right now we got ourselves a load of magic items to identify, a good amount of human money to live comfortably, and not to mention that she is still injured"

"What's your point?"

"My point is that if we do tell her this she is going to burn all of our resources to get to that city, and there's no way of knowing if the wild witch is even there! I think that we should keep this to ourselves and wait until we identified all of the relics and her leg healed before doing something rash"

"But the wild witch might escape if we do it!"

"Well we can find a way to go to that town carefully and watch the crystal ball for more news" Wrath didn't seem convinced so he added something extra "Besides if she finds her Abigail is going to fight in her actual state, do you really want her to face a wild witch with a broken leg?"

*Sigh*"Well you do have a good point"

"Exactly this is all for her own good" Hunter actually just wanted to finish researching the relics before fighting the wild witch "Now we-"

"WHAT THE FUCK!?" A scream came from Abigail's room that startled both of them.

"Oh, I forgot that she also has one of those crystal balls in her room as well" Wrath explained.

Hunter facepalmed.

A secret lab in the MCU facilities / Monday July 12th 10:30 AM

-Lawrance-

Magical Containment Unit or MCU for short, that was the name of his organization. He had been working there as an intern for the last two years doing paperwork and small chores to rise up the ranks, and he had hated every second of it. For months he begged his superiors to let him become a field agent but they refused saying stuff like "the horrors that we fight are too much for someone as young as you, be thankful that we aren't sending you to missions yet".

Lawrence had wanted to break something when he heard that "too much for someone as young as me? I'm thirty years old!", but finally Marcus saw his potential and recruited him as part of the east coast division. He was aware that it wasn't a glamorous position, considering the amount of rookies in his unit it seemed more like a training ground. But it didn't matter to him, as long as he wasn't tied to a desk he would be happy.

He wasn't happy.

After a month of being a field agent he realized that the position wasn't what he thought it would be. Now he wasn't one of those new agents on the field that believed all of the nationalist propaganda the academy fed them with and think that this job is a glorified version of the CIA, most of those people only last a couple weeks before being permanently discharged.

No, he knew that once he accepted his job he was going to be on the front lines of a secret war against things he could never imagine, he knew that his life would be in danger at any minute, he knew he was going to see things that would hunt his dreams, he knew that if he failed a mission lives could be lost and that would be totally on him. He knew all of that and he was ready for it.

What he wasn't ready for is the amount of protocols, procedures, and bureaucracy he had to deal with. Also the mountains of paperwork didn't help.

Turns out that the part of the job he was told about and trained for (Fighting magical creatures, securing dangerous items, protecting ignorant citizens, helping to save lives) was only like 60% of the actual job. The rest consisted in lab work, data analysis, running errands, logistics, and lots of paperwork. Also it didn't help that he was basically Marcus's secretary now, on top of his regular duties.

Yep that's right, the older agent has him as his personal assistant and it made his sleep deprivation even bigger. Now this wasn't a formal title by any means but the man needed someone to help him manage this crisis and Lawrance understood that it had to be him. With the stupid stunt some of his peers pulled of, and the way most of the recluits behaved towards their senior, it would be ovbious that Marcus didn't trust them with this. So he would call Lawrence for help with some errands most of the time and would entrust him with more responsibilities than the others, one thing led to the other and he ended up basically working for him.

It wasn't that bad, but he couldn't wait until his superiors arrived so they could replace him. If that ended up happening he was going to take the biggest nap ever.

"Ok come on I need to be there in ten minutes, last check" He said while he looked at his appearance in the mirror. A young looking man with asian features and short black hair stared back at him "Suit is fine, hair is great, where is my damn tie? Ahh whatever I'll just go like this, this isn't a date"

Currently he was in his room getting ready for a meeting with Marcus, after the chaos that was yesterday he slept like the dead until a notification arrived telling him to report in the main area. Apparently the reinforcements the higher-ups promised weeks ago were finally here and they were bringing some kind of big shot with them to "help Marcus lead", obviously everyone knew that statement meant they were going to try to take the case away from him but he doubted the old man would go away easily. Honestly Lawrence had the suspicion that HQ totally ignored Marcus' help request from a week ago, but sent them immediately after they saw the gravesfield fiasco.

But that didn't matter, the important thing was that they were here and, according to the rumors, they were going to replace every single rookie and send them to training grounds dispersed alongside the country and those who took part in the insurrection would be harshly punished. He wondered what that would mean for him, he was a rookie as well but he honestly wanted to complete the job.

A know on his door distracted him from his thoughts "Lawrence" came the tired voice of his roomate Tom "It's time"

He sighed and left his room, who knows after the experts came here they'll still let him be around.

Fifteen minutes later

"Ah good to see you lad" Marcus tone told him he wasn't that late "I've been waiting for a while"

"Why… so many… *pant* stairs?" He asked between exhausted breaths.

"Consider it an endurance training" He dedicated one of those rare amused smiles to him.

They were standing at the roof of their facility and Lawrence's room was underground, to make it all worse the elevator wasn't functioning because of an electric failure so he had to climb more than twelve flights of stairs to get here. He had not been amused when his colleagues informed him the location of the meeting, if he had known he would've gotten there sooner!

They were on the roof because apparently the big shot from HQ that wanted to take their job was so special they had to transport them by helicopter, so they were waiting nearby the helipads.

"Oh you two haven't met right?" Marcus pointed towards the only other person that was with them: A middle aged blonde man wearing a black suit and sunglasses "Let me introduce you then, Lawrence this is Ralph, he's the assistant of the person we are waiting for and arrived yesterday night with the rest of his unit in convoys. Ralph this is Lawrence, one of the most promising rookies that we have here and my own personal assistant"

"Why is he here Marcus? I'm sure whatever procedure you have to do with him can wait after the meeting" the older man said as if he wasn't there standing in front of him.

"Oh he's attending the meeting, I thought that it would be a good experience for him, is that a problem?" Marcus' glare told him it better not be a problem.

"No…" he said after a while.

Lawrance felt awkward after that, so he decided to break the ice

"Pleased to meet you sir" He offered a hand to his superior.

"Likewise kid" She grabbed his hand and her grip was so strong that he thought she was gonna break it. After rubbing his hand to ease the pain something that Marcus said drew his attention.

"So you came here in convoys? How come that your leader is arriving in a helicopter then?"

"She is coming from a different division"

"So she's not part of your unit then?"

"She is, she was just dealing with some business back there when the whole thing happened and had to end things quickly"

"Well let's hope that she also arrives quickly as well" Marcus said tiredly.

"Hmph yeah I agree, this place needs a stronger person in command from the way things are going" The insult was there but the older man did not seem to react beyond a glare.

Lawrence did not like to see his mentor being made fun of so decided to try and prove a theory he had and bait this guy.

"So it took you guys this long to come here? Where are you coming from? Alaska?" The agent grunted at him and crossed his arms.

"Excuse me? We arrived in one day! Our unit started getting ready as soon as we heard the news!"

"But you are days late"

"What? The fight at gravesfield happened yesterday!"

"Yes but Marcus asked for reinforcements ten days ago when we had the rift open up above our heads, then we had an incident where many of our agents wanted to overthrown Marcus so he called for help again and he was told that you were coming, then we have a series of murders caused by magical creatures and again we are told that 'reinforcements are on the way', then one of our wharehouses gets raided by three witches and we ask for help again but no one comes. Then as soon as the public knows you guys are sent, so forgive me sir but you have no right to talk to him like that" the surprised look on his eyes told Lawrence that his words had the intended effect.

"Son, you really have to read the files of the missions you are assigned to, I just hope your boss knows the situation here"

As if it was scheduled a sound from the propellers could be heard in the distance, he looked up and could see a black helicopter with the golden letters of the MCU logo at the side. A few minutes later it landed on the helipad and several agents stepped outside checking the perimeter, then they prepared to open one of the doors of the helicopter for their leader.

Lawrance gulped and prepared himself, he's been told that this person had been in the force for a longer time than Marcus and even outranked him, several of his peers were discussing theories and rumors of them being an expert monster hunter. He felt really unprepared for this, and it didn't help that the wind caused by the propellers tousled the hair that he spent several minutes combing.

The doors were opened in front of him to reveal… The tiniest human being he had ever seen in his life. The leader was an elderly african-american woman with grey curly hair, she was wearing a lab coat that covered most of her small body including her lower face and big round glasses. The most distinctive feature was that she barely reached his waist.

"Ahh Kikimora, a pleasure as always" Marcus said in what Lawrence could recognize as a fake smile.

"I wish I could say the same to you Marcus, but I'm not pleased with how the situation has been developing here" She stepped towards her people and directed them towards the facility "Where's the elevator Marcus? We don't have much time and we have a meeting to attend to"

"I'm afraid that it's malfunctioning, we'll have to take the stairs"

"Well lead us there then '' He could see a small tick on Kikimora's eye.

As they were going down she kept reprimanding Marcus over the whole situation.

"We are doing the best that we can Kiki, but you have to admit that dealing with four witches with only a squad of insurrecting newbies is a lot. Not to mention that we had a level six rift opened up"

"We've dealt with level eight rift back in our days, so I expected more of you"

"That situation was completely different and you can't compare it to this" Lawrence could tell he was starting to lose his patience "It was over an island in the middle of the pacific and we had our best elite teams on it, here we are in the middle of two settlements in a crowded area and this is basically a training ground. If you were in charge I'd doubt you could do better"

"Well then we will see about that, won't we?" The glint on her eyes was really evil.

Lawrence gulped, feeling that he wasn't going to like her at all.

The Owl House / Wednesday July 14th 6:30 PM

-Luz-

Luz woke up to the sound of birds chirping and for some reason felt extremely good, she slept like the dead in her comfy bed and was basking on the sunlight coming from… wait. Her room had two small windows at each side so she could watch the sunrise from the right and the sunset from the left if she didn't put on her curtains, right now even if she still hadn't opened her eyes she could feel the sun coming from the left, which was completely strange. She lazyly attempted to get up and opened her eyes, the sense of restfulness disappeared and her body became incredibly sore and tired. She tried to rub her head in order to get rid of the drowsiness and she felt… were those bandages around her head?

"What just happened? Why am I like this?"

Then suddenly everything came back with a flash: Her doing errands, the plant, the girl, the police, that woman, the vines, rescuing, fighting, the seed.

She got up so fast that she gave herself whiplash and checked her clothes after it passed, she was wearing her usual earth attire which meant that Eda must've changed her from her witch clothes.

"Oh no the seed! It was on my pocket but it's still dangerous"

She tried to run but honestly her body still wasn't answering properly so she could just walk while using the walls as support. She was glad when she saw that the owl house hadn't been destroyed by the plant but she didn't dare relax yet.

Luz became worried when she didn't see Eda at her usual spots so she started calling for her out loud.

"Over here Kid!" Eda's voice came from upstairs, Luz followed it and saw that she and King were watching the sunset on the roof. She was sitting in a folding chair and had a glass of wine in her hand "Wow you look like crap Luz, maybe you should-"

"Eda!" Luz lunged forward and enveloped the older woman in a big hug.

*sigh*"Good to see you too kid, I take that you slept well?"

"Oh you have no idea- wait! Eda, where are my clothes?"

"Oh they were in a pretty bad shape so I put them on the washing machine"

Luz paled thinking of all the water the plant could take from there and how annoyed it would be at her for putting it on the washing machine.

"Eda quick! We need to get those, there was something important in there and-" The older woman held a hand to interrupt her.

"Do you mean this?" she said showing her the apricorn looking seed "After you passed out you kept mumbling on how it was important and it shouldn't touch water, so I kept it on a separate bag" Luz then proceded to snatch the seed out of her hands with care.

"Oh my titan! You have no idea how worried I was! Don't worry little buddy I'm gonna keep you safe"

"I imagine that's the the plant that cause all of that ruckus"

"Yeah so it actually was because he didn't have clean water and- wait, how do you know about that?"

"Take a sit Luz" She calmly said pointing to another folding chair near her that king was on "We need to talk"

Those were Luz's least favourite words, they reminded her of whenever she disappointed her mother by doing something extremely dumb. She slowly went towards the chair and picked King up to sit on it. The cat was annoyed to be woken up from his nap, but once Luz put him on her lap he started sleeping again

"So… What do you want to talk about?" Luz said after an awkward pause.

"I want to know why did you fight that plant in the middle of the street, and before you ask I know about this because you were recorded Luz. Everyone saw you on TV and the news are covering your story! I'm not mad about it but I want to know what really happened, from your point of view"

Luz sighed and proceeded to tell her everything: How the plant appeared out of nothing, how she saved the girl, the rude policemen, the plant wrecking havoc, her fighting it, helping the people get out, and the way she ended this whole thing.

"...After that I was really tired to do anything else so I just went straight to your house after making sure no one followed me"

"Well considering that we don't have any government agents after thirty hours I'd say you did a good job on that"

"Thirty hours? Are you saying I slept for that long?"

"Yep, it's sunday kind"

"Awww" Luz was planning on checking up on the little girl she saved but it seemed that it was too late for that "Ok now that you mention it I'm really hungry, do we have anything for dinner?"

"Saw that coming and it's already prepared kid, but there's one thing I want to know: Why did you do it?"

"Huh?"

"You could've left the authorities to deal with this shit, sure they may be idiots but they are idiots that know how to use guns, why did you step in? Did you forget our agreement?"

Don't draw attention to yourself

"I-I'm sorry Eda but I couldn't, if I see someone that needs help I have to help, sometimes I move without thinking. Besides you saw that thing: it was massive, nothing that the police did was effective, besides it was my fault…"

"Your fault? Didi you release that thing?"

"No"

"...It came from your world, right?"

"Yes so it's my fault that it's here so I had to do something"

"I still don't know how any of this is your fault kid, just because you came from…" Eda stopped herself and mumbled for a moment, she seemed in deep thought "You know something? Even if you told me many things about your world you never told me how actually you came here, I only know that it was because a staff of some sorts but I never knew the details"

It was true, even if she told her most of the common life of the boiling isles Luz never mentioned Eda about the Emperor's regime. At first it was because she didn't fully trust her but later she just didn't think much about it, but now Eda was right at demanding answers, she needed to know.

Luz took a deep breath and started "I'm a wanted criminal in my dimension…"

Whooo that was a lot. I'm starting to see that uploading in AO3 from google doc is freaking harsh, anyway I wanted to tell you about my plans for this fic: Believe it or not these past chapters were just an introduction to the whole series, after the next chapter is done we will start with book 1. There's gonna be three books of different length and a forth one that would work as a small epilogue.

Sorry for the delay in uploading! and I hope you enjoyed it!
