It had only been one day since Reshiram had made it back to her home. Solgaleo had started hiding in Unova with her like he promised until they were able to convince Kyurem to leave Reshiram alone. Reshiram didn't know where he was right now, but she hoped that he would be ok here for a while.
When morning came that day, Reshiram was woken up by a small voice and hands tapping her repeatedly.
"Reshiram? Reshiram, wake up!" The voice said to her. Reshiram's eyes slowly started to open. She was only half awake when she recognized Victini right next to her. An urgent look on his face.
"Victini…?" She said drowsily. "What is it…? What happened…?"
"Reshiram! Thank goodness you're awake!" Victini cried. He started to look relieved a little, but that was quickly covered with urgency. "You need to follow me! something happened!"
Reshiram forced up her energy to wake up and follow Victini. After a short while of speed walking, they came to a clearing, and Reshiram felt her heart drop in horror at the sight of it.
There were multiple blasts of ice almost everywhere. Some of the trees had been completely knocked down by the frost, and even Reshiram felt a little bit cold just by standing where she was.
Reshiram breathed sharply. She didn't even need Victini to tell her who caused this.
"I was told that some Pokémon saw Kyurem come and freeze up this part of the woods." Victini told her. "Is he still after you?"
"I… I think so." Reshiram answered him. "But why did he do this, and then leave without saying anything?"
As if this was an answer to her question, she heard someone cry out her name and Reshiram and Victini whirled around.
A Sawsbuck in his Summer form was running to her, hoping over the fallen trees and ice until he got to Reshiram.
"Kyurem was here, he froze up this area in search of you." The Sawsbuck told Reshiram and Victini. "He then told us that, if you don't turn yourself in by at least tomorrow, he will not hesitate to continue freezing these lands to a crisp."
Victini turned to her, awaiting her answer. Reshiram felt sick as she listened to the Sawsbuck. She didn't want to lose her will and fuse with Kyurem to become the Original Dragon again. But then again… she couldn't let Kyurem freeze these lands.
Well, hundreds of lives are surely more important than just mine, right?
"Don't worry, I'll go." She told the Sawsbuck and Victini. Immediately Victini's eyes widened. "But Reshiram!" He exclaimed to her. "What about you?"
"Your lives are more valuable than just mine, right?" She asked him. "I can't let Kyurem harm these lands and hurt all of you. And if that means I have to go now, then I must go."
"But I can't let him fuse with you!" Victini exclaimed again. "Who knows what Kyurem could do once he gets his form again!"
"Don't worry, everything will be ok." Reshiram told him. "He might not even be able to fuse with me again. Tell Solgaleo about this and just hope for the best for me."
And with that, she turned away from Victini and headed for Kyurem's mountain.
