Hey, everyone! We got our continuation from the next chapter! The last chapter was a really amazing one! It was one of my favorite chapters to write! The next chapter will be one that's a little more darker, with a little less humor! But for some mood-relief, I'll introduce the next Disney Channel show in this chapter! Can you guess what it is? Well, just read and you'll see!
Chapter 11: The Dark Future
Present SpongeBob: (voiceover) We were just captured by Anti-SB, and I remember that my best friend was keeping a dark secret from me.
Anti-SB and Anti-Sandy take everyone into a giant metallic base, with the future versions of SpongeBob and Patrick following him. The present versions of SpongeBob and Patrick, alongside their friends, all in handcuffs are following them, with soldiers and drones monitoring them, trying to make sure that they don't try to escape.
Phineas: (whispering to SpongeBob) That's your future self? And that's Anti-SB?
SpongeBob: (whispering back) Yeah. I pretty much knew who Anti-SB was the whole time, but I didn't know who was my future self was.
Cyd: (whispering) That's him? The crazy man who nearly killed us by cutting the ropes on that train?
SpongeBob: (whispering) Yeah, and for some reason, he has some sort of connection with me and Patrick.
Anti-SB: No talking back there.
Patrick: You don't tell me what to do... (gets shocked by an electric collar, courtesy of Anti-SB pressing a button on a remote)
Jessie: Hey, it's rude to do that to people!
Anti-Sandy: Want the same thing to happen to you?
Jessie: Um, no, thank you.
Emma: Look, um, we don't why you brought us here, but what do you want with us?
Anti-SB: What do I want with you? I see you as accomplices to the fugitives.
Miley: "Fugitives?" What the heck are you talking about?
Future SpongeBob: He's saying that the sponge and star are fugitives, for they have the greatest weapon that the entire multiverse has ever had.
SpongeBob: Greatest Weapon?
Anti-Sandy: He's referring to the Portal Box. A mysterious box that can allow the user to travel across universes.
Patrick: Um, no, we don't have it.
Anti-SB: Really? Scan them to make sure they have it.
Anti-Sandy scans SpongeBob and Patrick and sees the Portal Box inside the sponge's body.
Anti-Sandy: Master, they have it.
Anti-SB: At last. The greatest weapon ever is finally in my possession.
Anti-SB grabs the box from inside SpongeBob.
Anti-SB: The power of a god fit for a man like me. Now, onto the question, what to do with you? I know, give you your greatest prize; your ticket towards your demise?
Sandy: What? You're gonna execute us?!
Anti-SB: Yes. I have no need from them.
Patrick pushes down a guard, and grabs a grenade, before throwing it at the wall, blowing it up.
Patrick: Come on! (grabs a stun gun and hits it at the soldiers and drones, freeing his friends)
Candace: Let's get out of here!
Future SpongeBob: You know, I'm the ally here! You're the traitor! (pulls out the sword)
Future Patrick: You ended up betraying everyone! (pulls out sword)
The future best friends fight, attempting to land a hit on each other with their swords. Future-SB grabs Future Patrick's leg, and throws him through the broken wall. Future-SB jumps, and attempts to hit his former friend, but the star dodges. Future Pat activates his glider, and it carries the enemies out of the area. Meanwhile, Anti-SB notices the group has escaped.
Anti-SB: Stay here. This is my job. (turns his helmet back on, his colors back to orange and black, and runs after them)
The group is seen running across the hall.
Phineas: Well, I think we got away from him.
SpongeBob: Luckily, I got the box here. (takes it out and puts it back in his pocket)
Isabella: Whoa! How did you do that?
SpongeBob: He must've been distracted by that fight. I just grabbed it from him before we escaped.
Sandy: Awesome. That box is too powerful for him to have. We need to protect it.
Suddenly, lasers are fired, and it's revealed to be Anti-SB. The lights start to flicker rapidly as the villain's shadow races towards the group, with his metallic glove sticking out, clearly wanting to kill them.
Riley: I think he wants to hurt us!
Shelby: You think?! He's got a metallic glove with claws!
Oliver: Hey, those doors! Let's go there!
Everyone races through the hallway to get through the doors. They pass by a peppermint basket. SpongeBob briefly stops to grab one, lick it, eat it, and then resumes running. Anti-SB uses holographic technology to make holograms to himself to track the group down.
Zuri: Oh, great, more of them!
SpongeBob and Sandy open the doors as everyone heads in.
Sandy: Come on! Move it!
The two go inside, and they barricade the door with a giant metallic refrigerator that is very hard to push alone. The guard activate their claws, trying to pull it open. Phineas notices a giant cabinet.
Phineas: Hurry, get in here!
Everyone heads in, but Patrick gets stuck. SpongeBob tries to pull him out as the villain's claw starts to tear apart the refrigerator.
Patrick: Come on!
SpongeBob: I'm trying!
The Anti-SB's smash the doors, but find nobody in the area. They surveillance the area, attempting to find them. The group watches, clearly horrified that they're gonna be caught. One Anti-SB notices something rattling, so he pulls out his sword, and with a carefully motion, he smashes it down, but finds no one there. He suddenly gets punched by a giant knight statue, before vanishing. Patrick is on the head of the knight.
Patrick: Hi! Everyone, positions!
SpongeBob and Sandy control the arms, with assistance from Emma and Luke. Phineas and Isabella control the legs, with help from Miley and Lilly. Everyone else tries to hold the position of the knight. The Anti-SB's try to attack the knight.
Patrick: Now attack! (due to everyone moving at their own pace, the knight moves out of balance) Go left! No, other left! Now thrust, there! (an Anti-SB is hitting the arm and Sandy punches him, causing him to vanish, but causing a display of cannonballs to fall, which roll over the knight, and knocking over the rest of the Anti-SB's; two normal guards notice this, then they suddenly see the knight's head rise, and the body doing the spider-walk; they scream and run off)
Everyone pops up from the knight display, having hid there, having escaped the knight costume.
Phineas: Do you think we should've stayed in there with Candace?
Oliver: Eh, she'll be okay.
Candace: (inside the knight) Where is everybody?!
Anti-SB activates his lightning cannon and notices the walking knight costume. He prepares to shoot it down.
Phineas: No, stop, our sister is in that costume!
Anti-SB shoots the knight costume, and Candace nearly falls out the window, but she grabs the railing and climbs back up. Anti-SB grabs Patrick by the neck, and he begins to choke.
Anti-SB: And they said you were a star. (tries to kill him, but SpongeBob pounces on him; they both fall off)
Anti-SB activates his power, and releases a massive blue burst of energy, screaming as he does so. The explosion causes the entire room to be destroyed. There is a bit of flames happening, with some smoke. Everyone is lying on the floor, groaning from that big explosion.
Sandy: What was that? SpongeBob's a bit of a weakling. This guy just released a giant explosion.
SpongeBob and Patrick, having crashed into the wall, fall, clearly bruised from that big explosion. They notice Anti-SB has escaped.
Patrick: Hey, where did he...(suddenly, the future SpongeBob and Patrick, flying on their glider, bash through the window, grab him and SpongeBob, and fly out of the area)
The glider releases some explosive bombs as they fly into the window, blowing it up, with glass shards falling onto the floor, with everyone avoiding the pieces. They look out the window, noticing two eras of SpongeBob and Patrick flying out there.
Lucas: This guy means business.
Ravi: Yeah, that guy just released a strong surge of energy that just blasted us all into those walls!
Sandy: We need to go after them. (takes out jetpack, and gives a walkie-talkie to Phineas) If anything goes wrong, just call me. (flies out the window and heads after the glider)
Candace: That squirrel's cool.
Farkle: Um, what? What'd you say?
Candace: Um, nothing.
Meanwhile, the rest of the group has landed into a jail cell of sorts.
Mr. Krabs: Okay, where did we land?
Barry: It appears we have landed into an incarcerated tombstone of bars.
Karen: That means we have landed into a prison.
Doofenshmirtz: Yeah, no kidding.
Doofenshmirtz and Perry are next to them.
Doofenshmirtz: That man threw us in this cell for nothing!
Squidward: Man? Did he have a yellow and black suit, menacing powers?
Doofenshmirtz: Pretty much. While we've been in here, I've been writing a harmonica song. Want to hear it?
Naldo: Oh, I do.
Mr. Krabs: Not now. We need to find a way out.
Doofenshmirtz: Eh, we've tried. But there is no way out.
Perry gestures to the wall, in which there is there a key there.
Baljeet: Hey, there's a key! We can use that to get us out! Now, we just need someone small enough to sneak out and get us the key.
Plankton: I'm small. This is easy as pie.
He goes down, walks out of the cell, and walks towards the key.
Plankton: Almost there...(suddenly, he steps on a tile and is nearly crushed by a giant axe) What the... (notices more tiles) Oh, here we go... (steps on a tile and gets burned) Oh, man... this won't be good.
Meanwhile, future SpongeBob and Patrick are fighting on the glider as their present versions are hanging on for dear life.
FutureSpongeBob: You have no idea what you're doing! This happened because of you!
Future Patrick: I'm trying to fix this! I never wanted to hurt you!
The two continue fighting as their present version climb up.
SpongeBob: Hey, what are you doing?
Future SpongeBob: I'm fighting my traitor! Here, take a sword and fight him.
SpongeBob: What? No, I don't...
Sandy is seen flying towards their glider.
Sandy: Hey, I'm here to save you!
Future Patrick throws a grenade, causing her to get caught up in the glider and it goes the other way, heading back towards the base.
Phineas: Um, guys, we got incoming!
The glider crashes into the room. Future SpongeBob grabs the present Patrick and throws him into a wall. He then punches him, and throws him up, before punching him into a trophy display case, which collapses. Future Patrick grabs SpongeBob, and throws them directly at his friends.
SpongeBob: What are you doing to us?!
Future Patrick: Trying to make your friendship turn out like ours.
Sandy: Leave them alone! (tries to hit him, but he grabs Sandy, throws her down, and hits her leg, causing her to yell in pain)
Anti-SB arrives on cue, and starts shooting his electricity, causing the area to catch fire. Everyone runs out, except SpongeBob and Patrick, who are busy trying to fight their future selves. Everyone is running down the hall as Anti-SB is chasing after them. He uses his powers to rip apart parts of the wall, having them used as booby-trap arrows. He throws them at the group, with them trying desperately to avoid the rising onslaught.
Luke: I actually prefer being at home! It's more safer than him trying to kill us!
Jessie: Don't worry, we'll get back soon!
The group narrowly escaped the arrows as Anti-SB changes the axis, causing the room to change position, sending them back to the damaged knight room.
Trish: What? We're back where we started?
Shelby: Hey, that doesn't seem fair. (some lasers are fired) But this is crazy! We have to move now!
As the group tries to hide, future Patrick grabs SpongeBob and punches him, before swinging him around into the wall. He then grabs him again, and spins him around before slamming him onto the ground. Future SpongeBob grabs Patrick, throws him into the wall, and punches him before kicking him onto the knight's display, causing a cannonball to fall on him. He then grabs him, and punches him in the stomach, leg, and arm, before throwing him into the wall. Future SpongeBob and Patrick resume fighting with swords as everyone watches.
Future SpongeBob: You're just blind to the selfish action you have caused for others! And there's a good chance that same thing can happen to our younger selves; fighting rogues who have a war brewing against each other!
Future Patrick: I did wrong, but you're no better, either! He's trying to use you!
Future SpongeBob: (becomes corrupted) What fate doesn't drag you is what you are to become. The world will drag you down the pavement... before anyone can see what horrible actions you've caused. (activates a cherry bomb, and throws it down the floor, causing it to explode and future Patrick to fall; he goes down too)
SpongeBob and Patrick are seen to be severely injured from their fight. Everyone runs over to check them.
Ally: Hey, are you guys okay? You look really banged up.
SpongeBob: Not much. The good part is that we lived.
Anti-SB smashes through the wall, and uses his powers to change the floor tiling and it causes everyone to go up to the ceiling of the room, with them upside down. They fall, but he uses a mattress to save them. He then shoots it, as everyone dodges.
Anti-SB: Now, where were we?
He uses his powers to lift everyone, and opens a portal, into the city. He sends them out there and closes the portal.
Anti-SB: They must've had the Portal Box. (calls on radio) Anti-Sandy? Activate Operation: Nutshell.
Meanwhile, Plankton, completely injured from stepping on all those tiles, grabs the key.
Plankton: I got the key! (celebrates weakly)
Mr. Krabs: Good job, Plankton! Now come here and unlock the door.
Plankton becomes careful to avoid stepping on those dangerous tiles, and then he runs to the group's cell. Doofenshmirtz helps him up to unlock the cell.
Doofenshmirtz: Finally! We're free! Now, Perry the Platypus, we need to find your owners and get back home.
Squidward: Yeah, I want to go back home and play my clarinet.
Barry: Okay, so how do we navigate and escape this prison? Prisons are typically large and have numerous amounts of security.
Karen: Don't worry. My processor can be able to give a complete scan of the area. Give me a moment.
She releases a green light as it circles around the area.
Karen: My censors tell me that we need to go through the surprisingly big air ducts to get out.
Buford: We have to go through air ducts? I admit I'm a bit nervous about tiny spaces.
Baljeet: Relax. They're big.
Buford: Oh, right, because that's what they want you to think.
Plankton: Okay, can we get this idiotic conversation over with? We need to get out of here.
Buford: Okay, good point.
Everyone climbs down the ladder and races to the air ducts. Karen uses her saw to open the ducts, then everyone begins to head in.
Naldo: So, Barry, why are they called air ducts?
Barry: Well, Renaldo, they have circulation that can allow an individual to breathe in there for about a really long time.
Naldo: Oh, that's what they mean.
The two of them go in as Mr. Krabs leads the group.
Karen: Go left here, then take a right in the second duct.
Mr. Krabs and everyone else promptly go the directions.
French Narrator: (reading time card) One Narrow Crawl Later...
Karen: Go right here, and we should be out of here.
Mr. Krabs punches the vents. The vents are about a few inches from the ground. Everyone climbs out as they notice a nearby city.
Doofenshmirtz: Hey, that's where our friends are! Maybe they can help us find a way back home!
Everyone runs directly towards the city.
Meanwhile, the group is out in the city, which is a complete mess.
Maya: Yikes. That guy was toying with us.
Farkle: Yeah, it's like he's trying to mess with us. And speaking of mess, this city is a dump.
The city is filled with crime, such as people mocking each other, taking their money, and at cases, attacking them. Some buildings are damaged like as if someone led a massive attack on it. The atmosphere is night, and the lighting a bit broken.
Dez: Sheesh, the cleaning maid really did nothing all this time.
Austin: Why did this happen? And now that you got back your artifact, how do we get back?
Sandy: (inspecting the box) Hmm, I'm not sure. This is highly-advanced energy and technology. We can't just cut a red wire and open it up. We need to find a way to open a portal and get us back home.
Patrick: Hmm, let me hold it.
The Box glows as SpongeBob and Patrick's hands are on it.
SpongeBob: Hey, the box is glowing.
Harper: It's like it has a connection to you.
Sandy: Hmm, maybe we can find a way to control the opening portals. Maybe if the box reacts to you two holding it at the same time, maybe we can find a way to get us back.
SpongeBob: But first, we need to find a way to save our friendship.
The Box opens another portal, which is blue-and-black. Out of that portal comes two teenage girls. One of them has their hair braided in a ponytail. The other girl has glasses.
Patrick: Hey, look, new company.
Girl #1: Hey, who are you? And where are we?
SpongeBob: Well, we're in New York City, in the future, but the area is filled in a mess, and there's a villain who is trying to destroy us, and my friendship with Patrick is in jeopardy.
Girl #2: The starfish is your best friend?
Sandy: Obviously. And I'm a squirrel. We all have our ups-and-downs.
SpongeBob: My name is SpongeBob. The starfish is Patrick and the squirrel is Sandy, who is seen as an amazing inventor. I'm an amazing fry cook, and I can stretch my body parts very far. What are your names?
Girl #1: Our names? My name is Paige, and that's my best friend, Frankie. We run the awesome funny video channel, Bizaardvark!
Frankie: Yeah, we make so many cool and funny moments! You should check it out!
SpongeBob: Maybe later. For now, we need to find a way to get back home.
They notice some people running away from something.
Sandy: Hmm, what was that all about? (a laser beam nearly hits her) What in the world?
Everyone notices a giant ship floating by. There are numerous amounts of soldiers and drones approaching their direction. Anti-SB's face appears on the monitor.
Anti-SB: I'll say this once. Hand over the Box.
Sandy: Never! We'd rather risk our lives for it.
Ally: Um, I'd rather not risk my life. You see, I got a book club session next week...
Anti-SB: Fine. You won't give it to us, we'll take it. Guards... attack.
Numerous soldiers and guards and drones approach, all with weapons and all types of mysterious weapons in hand.
Paige: Um, are those after us?
Luke: Extremely, yes.
The guards throw a grenade at them. It hits a building, and it begins to fall.
SpongeBob: Everyone, run!
Everyone begins to run as they narrowly escape the collapsing building. The enemies chase after them. They throw more bombs at them, which end up missing them. They shoot flaming arrows, which end up hitting a fireworks storage facility. The flaming toys end up going into the air, and they end up hitting some buildings. Numerous citizens evacuate the damaging buildings and others who are on the streets follow their lead. As the heroes run, cherry bombs are thrown, which end up hitting a dynamite store. The store explodes, scattering the group. Debris and fire are all over the area, with some buildings damaged and the road cracked. Some smoke is seen. Phineas notices his brother and sister injured in the debris. He weakly limps over to them.
Phineas: Guys? Are you okay?
Candace wakes up, and weakly nods her head yes. Ferb doesn't respond.
Candace: Ferb? Wake up! (pounces on his chest and hears a beat) He's okay, but he's knocked out.
They weakly move as drones fire lasers at all directions. They notice a crumbling building, but Isabella pushes them out of the way.
Isabella: (carrying them towards safety) Come on! We'll get somewhere safe!
Austin and Ally pick themselves up from the debris. Trish and Dez walk up to them.
Ally: Is everyone okay?
Dez: Yeah, and by the way, I like the fireworks up there.
Austin: Dez, there's no time to admire the fireworks up there! A madman is trying to kill us!
A guard dressed like a cowboy sticks out his rope and tries to catch them, but they run. He call out his horse, which is brown, and chases after them.
Cyd and Shelby are both lying on the ground. They both lift themselves up.
Shelby: Cyd, are you okay?
Cyd: (coughs) Yeah, but where is everyone else?
Shelby: Not important. We need to find some medical help. (carries her friend out)
SpongeBob is seen lying on a piece of debris, with his head lying face down. Patrick, Sandy, Miley, Lilly, and Oliver race towards him.
Sandy: (lifting the sponge up, who is unconscious) SpongeBob, are you okay?
Lilly: He looks really banged up from that explosion.
Soldiers appears from behind them, holding laser guns up.
Patrick: Uh-oh.
Soldier #1: Hand over the box. Now!
Sandy: (pulls the box out and gives it to Miley) Here, take this, and keep it away from them!
Miley: Don't worry. We'll keep this safe. (to her friends) Come on, guys, let's move.
The three kids run as the soldiers notice it.
Soldier #2: After them! We'll take care of the sponge and star.
Some of the soldiers chase after them, while the rest try to arrest the sea creatures, but they have escaped. Sandy is carrying SpongeBob with Patrick running behind her. A soldier zaps them with a knockout laser, then they drag them away.
Paige and Frankie lift themselves from the debris.
Frankie: Whoa, this is extremely dangerous. Normally, I'd see this as one of our song ideas, but this? Not appropriate.
Paige: Where is everyone?
The girls examine the debris and surrounding area and find no one there.
Paige: It's like they vanished. (lasers nearly hits the girls as drones race towards them) Hurry, run for it!
The girls run as the drones shoot lasers at them, with not one hit made. The girls jump over a small damaged car, with the drones smashing their way through it. They notice the sponge, star, and squirrel being carried away.
Frankie: Hey, it's that sponge kid! We have to go help him and his friends.
Paige: They've got them down on their ropes! But they're innocent, so let's do it! But how do we help them?
The girls notice something in the debris, and check it. They find a small circular device called "Holographic Person Disguiser." They both wink at each other, believing that they can use the device to help them out. They activate the device by scanning two not-noticing soldiers and using it to activate a holographic field around themselves, impersonating the soldiers.
Frankie: Hey. This works! Who'd knew I'd be so strong and cool?
Paige: I like it too, but let's keep a low profile and try not to talk. This thing doesn't disguise our voices.
The girls nod at each other and enter the ship alongside everyone else. Anti-SB walks out of the ship and uses a tiny drone-like device to scan the area.
Mini-Drone: Scanning wreckage. No one detected.
Guard #1: Sir, we got our fugitives, but the Portal Box is still gone. A brown-haired girl and her friends took the box and ran off.
Anti-SB: Find them, and bring them to me.
A half-dozen group of soldiers, wielding laser guns, get on their motorcycles and head into the city.
Anti-SB: Perfect. Now, we have stolen pieces of technology for "the big project," and we need one more piece. The final piece is located at a casino in Monte Carlo in another dimension.
Guard #1: Our fugitives will serve as great purpose to this big task. When do we commence preparations?
Anti-SB: One day's time. Let's move.
Anti-SB and the guard return to the ship, with the sponge, star, and squirrel unconscious also in there. The ship's doors close, and it begins to fall off, with some lava falling off and hitting a few buildings, burning them and causing them to fall apart. More smoke is seen as the fire happens. Everyone else regroups, with everyone seeming to be a bit injured from the attack.
Phineas: Is everyone okay?
Riley: Yeah, mostly. I think I may have hit my head on that rock.
Max: Yeah, it's like they were trying to hurt us.
Alex: Well, now that the matter of danger is out, where is that sponge kid?
Miley, Lilly, and Oliver run up to them.
Oliver: We've seen where they've gone. They out cold, on that ship.
Miley: (holding the box) They gave us the box before they were taken.
Lilly: Now, the matter is, what are we to do with it?
Everyone hears something.
Emma: Um, what is that?
Maya: Maybe the wind? Or someone?
Everyone nervously walks over towards an intersection between a few broken buildings and a slightly damaged bench. It is revealed to be the other group that came.
Phineas: Perry?
Perry chatters in response as the two hug, with a recovering Ferb joining them. Candace also joins them.
Phineas: Oh, I thought we lost you. Just glad you're safe. Now, where are the other two girls? They've must snuck on to save them.
Doofenshmirtz: The portal, we got separated, and they just suddenly appeared.
Jessie: Where did you land up?
Doofenshmirtz: We landed up in a mysterious prison. I remember the lights were terrible, and there were innocent sea creatures locked up, and there was some sort of...
Mr. Krabs: Wait. Did you say "sea creatures?"
Doofenshmirtz: Yeah, there was a guy who kept breaking his leg. He said "My Leg!" Funny.
Barry: Yeah. We narrowly escaped that place.
Justin: Wait. That crazy guy. If he had all that stuff, then that prison must be part of his package.
Farkle: And they must be heading there.
Phineas: So we need to formulate a plan to break in there and get them out.
Ally: And how do we do that?
Baljeet: I checked the area and secretly stole a map. (he shows everyone the map) The ventilation system is the only secure way for us to enter safely.
Austin: So, this should be easy.
Squidward: Not exactly. There's a massive amount of security.
Mr. Krabs: Well, we have a lot of people here. We can do it.
Everyone nods in agreement as they notice a helicopter flying overhead, following the ship.
Candace: That helicopter is following the ship.
Trish: What are we waiting for? Let's go!
Everyone runs after the helicopter. Doofenshmirtz trips and notices a piece of gum on his shoe.
Doofenshmirtz: Ew! Gum? How did this get there?
He picks himself and the group follows the copter. Unbeknownst to them, some soldiers chase after them, with some drones following them.
Well, that's our chapter! This was intense and amazing, and I want to incorporate more of these elements later on! I will bring more surprises later on! What will happen later on in this story? Just wait, and you'll see! Till then, peace out!
