Hi, everyone! I got the next chapter ready for you all! Last chapter, I introduced Harley Diaz from Stuck In The Middle! I wanted to include the rest of her siblings, but since there are already so many characters, I decided to include just her, to make the story feel not too expanded, but later on in the story, I'll bring the rest of her siblings! Anyways, this chapter will feature good holly jolly action, and a big surprise that will change the outcome of the story and set the darker events that will come soon! Enjoy this chapter, and don't forget to review!
Chapter 13: Snow & Glow
At the Christmas party, which is bustling with guests, everyone is having a great time at the party. Guests are drinking eggnog, playing games, and singing Christmas carols. Everyone notices Anti-SB carrying the handcuffed SpongeBob and Patrick as the guards and drones follow them.
Guard #1: Do not pay attention.
Guard #2: Go back to your game.
The enemies take the sponge and start to the back, where there are some guards. They try to attack, but they shoot their laser guns at them, which knocks them out. Anti-SB grabs SpongeBob's tongue, and places it at the retinal scanner. It verifies it, and the tongue is let go and directly back into the sponge's body. The door opens, and they go in.
The area is revealed to be the space of a disco. The area is dirty and abandoned with the tiling trashed. A laser pops up and scans SpongeBob and Patrick, before the tiling rearranges into a metallic floor. It begins to go down, and there is a corridor that lasts so very long with lanterns on the wall.
Guard #3: Keep moving.
SpongeBob and Patrick are dragged as the enemy agents, lead by their ruthless leader, walk directly towards the area, following the lanterns.
Patrick: I'm scared.
SpongeBob: Don't worry. I sent a message to our friends. They'll formulate a plan to save us. In the meantime, just try to hold fear... he senses it...
Guard #4: Keep your mouth shut, buddy. Or I'll rip it out of you.
SpongeBob and Patrick grow highly nervous at the danger they're in as they're dragged into the hallway of lanterns.
Meanwhile, Jessie and the Ross kids are taken into a dark room with color-coded lanterns; the lanterns turn the room into a mix of red and green, only slightly darker. The guards throw them onto the floor.
Ravi: Okay, this isn't the warm welcome we're expecting, but... yeah, I got nothing.
Guard #1: Stay here. We need to find the rest of your "lookout." (the guards leave, and the door slams shut afterwards)
Zuri: Hey! Let us out! (bangs on the door a few times) Let us out...
Jessie: Okay, Zuri, no need to go crazy. Well, at least we should look on the bright side.
Luke: "Bright side?" We just got thrown into a prison in another world with an enemy out trying to destroy us!
Emma: I highly doubt there is no bright side. And the cell phone reception here is terrible! (holds up her phone to get a signal, to no avail)
Jessie: Okay... while things don't look too good for us, at least nothing can get worse.
Suddenly, the whole place shakes. The alarm blares right afterwards.
Alarm voice: Alert. Alert. Security breach. All personnel, head to sector 5-D immediately.
Suddenly, above the roof, a saw bursts through, and saws a giant circle. The broken off circle falls, but a claw grabs it and puts it gently aside. A ladder falls down as winds begin to pick up. The gang looks up and sees a helicopter.
Luke: Is that a helicopter? The paint looks amazing!
Out from the helicopter comes Future Squidward and Mr. Krabs.
Zuri: Whoa! Cool clothes.
Emma: Are you that squid and crab guy?
Future Squidward: I'm future Squidward. Over there is my tight boss, Future Krabs.
Future Krabs: Don't worry! We're here to help you! (a radio noise is heard on his walkie-talkie)
Guard #2: We've been tricked! A helicopter is out there! We need to stop them!
Future Squidward: Come with us! We know where they are!
Ravi: Are you sure? I mean, you're wearing clothing that's like a battle-preparing presentation.
Jessie: Well, it's either this or get captured.
Ravi: Fair point. Where do we go?
Future Krabs points up, signaling to the helicopter, then points to the ladder. Everyone climbs up, with the squid and crab going last. Squidward and Krabs pilot the controls, while everyone else is in the back, in their seats with seatbelts and microphones ready. The guards run towards the moving copter and hoist out their laser guns.
Guard #1: Shoot it down!
Guard #2: Fire! Fire!
As the guards fire their guns directly at the helicopter, Future Squidward pilots it and moves it out of the way. Future Krabs then holds out his laser gun and shoots at the guards, knocking them out.
Future Squidward: Hang on! (he pilots the copter away from the guards, who promptly give chase towards them)
The guards, running with all their mights, shoot at the copter once more, attempting to land a clear strike so it goes down. They then start shooting missiles.
Future Krabs: Hang on! (presses a button that activates a fire bomb, then he launches it, which blows up part of the room, and the soldiers are sent out flying)
Luke: Whoa, talk about movie magic! That was awesome!
Future Krabs: Thanks, kid; this is awesome technology; really amazing and cool.
Emma: So, you're the future Squidward and Krabs, like SpongeBob told us?
Future Squidward: Exactly. But we have something more dangerous than anyone has expected. That secret is the key to everything, but it also places us all in danger.
Jessie: Wait, what secret? Did the sea star - Patrick - do something so bad, they stopped being friends?
Future Krabs: That's exactly what he said. And that secret can bring all-out war between them... and anyone else who gets caught in the middle. There have been stories about this, and the war between them led to all this happening. And it will begin soon enough. We came to help you find them, for the truth revealed can decide what happens next.
Ravi: A lot of pressure onto us, but onto a sponge and a star with a mysterious box.
Zuri: Honestly, I don't get much of it, but I do understand about that colored box.
The helicopter lands directly above a base where a shimmering bright light is directly seen.
Future Squidward: This is as far as we can go. We have an army of these monsters all across the city. Your task is to locate your friends.
Jessie: Thank you for saving us. We'll help them as best we can.
Emma: Yeah, we're like their friends. And we'll do our best.
Future Krabs: I know you will.
The others go down the rope ladder and wave goodbye to Future Squidward and Krabs, who promptly fly away back to the city to take down the villainous leaders who are tearing the city apart piece by piece. They enter the facility, where the design is revealed to be like a giant maze, where the walls are stone and there are strands of seaweed on the walls hanging and connecting to each other, and leaves all over the place.
Luke: Okay, a giant maze? How are we supposed to find our friends?
Ravi: Maybe try reading that diagram on the wall? (points to a diagram hanging on the wall, which is taped to it)
The nanny and kids walk up towards it.
Jessie: It looks like there's writing here. "Head towards the Great Maze and follow the marks. But be warned, for the weather isn't as peaceful as you think it is. Find the way and work together, and you'll find your way out." Okay, if we can stick together, we can find our friends.
Ravi: It isn't that bad. This maze isn't that big.
Emma: Ravi, the walls are three times bigger than we are! It'll take us days, let alone weeks, to find the way out.
Ravi: The map says we can find our way out if we work together.
Zuri: Well, at least we have some leadership.
Luke: I'm not sure of that.
Jessie: Let's just get moving.
The group heads into the maze, which is proven to be a deserted area filled with nightmares just waiting to buzz and fly the minute anyone lets their guard down.
Meanwhile, at the party, the group is in their positions, ready to save the sponge and star and try to find a way out of the place. There are hiding under a giant buffet-like table, briefing to each other.
Paige: Okay, so what's the plan?
Isabella: I calculated the distance and measures of the area. There is levels of security with them, and they are being taken down to a secret compartment underneath the building that's below ground level.
Oliver: And how will we know exactly where they are?
Isabella: I placed a little toy tracking device inside one of his holes. Nobody pays attention to those. Since the device is tiny, no one will be clueless enough to even think about wanting to question about what's happening.
Candace: Why put a tracking device?
Isabella: Don't get me wrong. I know it's a bit weird, but I feel like the two of them... aren't exactly smart.
Everyone looks at her, puzzled at what she said.
Isabella: I'm going off-topic. Where was I?
Frankie: The plan to save our friends?
Isabella: That one. Anyways, we need a distraction. We have to distract the guests so they don't figure out we're trying to sneak into the room underground.
Miley: Not to worry. I'm a good singer, but I don't like to brag. Oh, wait, I'm doing it. Anyways, I'll perform on stage to keep everyone entertained.
Lilly: I'll help, too. I got some great ideas.
Isabella: Perfect. (takes out a small device, presses some buttons, and then presses a red one; the cameras nearby all shut down) The cameras are disabled, so we should we able to enter. We'll just need someone to distract the security guard that's near the door.
Oliver: I'll distract the guard. I'm a bit of a... charming guy.
Everyone snickers at this, trying to hold back very loud laughter.
Oliver: Okay, what's so funny?
Lilly: I'm sorry. You, a charming guy? As a friend, I think so, but not when doing it in front of a security guard, who may look amazing.
Oliver: Well, some people may doubt my ability, but others see charisma in me.
Miley: Well, they won't see long enough to see it.
Oliver: Regardless, I think it's good. Anyways, I'm distracting the guard; the rest of the plan?
Isabella: Once the guard is distracted, the rest of us will sneak into the room, find SpongeBob and Patrick, and then get out.
Candace: Hmm, really great plan.
Shelby: Yeah, how did you plan all that?
Isabella: I'm the leader of my Fireside Girls troop. And we're not just regular Girl Scouts. We are tough, we're proud, and we have lots of patches on our sashes.
Shelby: I think Girl Scouts are cool.
Cyd: Yeah, but I'm not too fond of them. Anyways, let's do this!
Everyone: Yeah!
Everyone gets out from under the table and heads into positions to begin the plan. At the same time, Sandy and Harley are hiding behind a Christmas tree.
Sandy: Okay, so there should a door where we'll find SpongeBob and Patrick. All we have to do is get there, get in, and get out.
Harley: Won't be so easy. There's levels of security here. We'll easily get caught.
Sandy looks around, and sees a moving cart filled with snacks.
Sandy: Not if we... adjust our surroundings. That cart should help.
The two girls jump into the cart, look out the view, and then back inside.
Sandy: Okay, I'll steer this thing, and you'll guide us to the door.
Sandy sticks out her boots and hands on both sides as Harley sticks her head out.
Harley: Okay, so go straight, and be careful. There's a lot of people here, but I come from a big family, so it's not my first time. (Sandy does as followed, pushing the cart and avoiding the people) Okay, turn left here. Okay, now go right here, and turn right, then keep going straight, and it's a straight shot directly for the door.
The cart arrives directly at the door, but the security guard notices it.
Guard: Huh? (looks inside) What the...? (suddenly, Sandy's arm grabs his arm and he is pulled inside; the cart is seen jumping up and down from all the commotion inside; the guard pops out, knocked out and also looking severely beaten up)
Sandy: Well, that was easy.
Harley: Surprisingly. You're really good at karate.
Sandy: Thanks. (she grabs the keycard and slides it down the activation device, which opens the door. The two girls head inside and close the door. Another security guard notices the injured one, so he grabs him, moves him to the back room, and then stands by the door.)
Inside the room, the two girls notice a high-tech elevator. They go in, press a button, and the elevator moves down before speeding off in the direction of the torches.
Meanwhile, Phineas, Ferb, and their group stare at the plans.
Phineas: It's a machine! A big, scary one...
Doofenshmirtz: Yeah, the blueprints make it look like a dark, ominous creature thingy.
The blueprints are dark and ominous, with swirling white energy flowing all around it. The machine is seen firing at a purple line thing. Phineas grabs them.
Phineas: It's like he's planning something big, and what does the purple line stand for?
Baljeet: I theorize that the plans for this devastating, diabolical plan could affect many people on a monumental scale.
Buford: I don't believe it. Besides, if he has this in mind, they'd be trying to hurt us right now.
A laser is fired at Buford, blowing him back.
Buford: I was wrong.
Soldiers hold lasers at them.
Doofenshmirtz: One thing to say, quickly. Run for it!
The boys run out of the room, being chased by their enemies shooting at them, as they try desperately to avoid the incoming attacks.
Phineas: Hurry, this way! (points at nearby door)
They run back to the lobby where more people shoot at them, as they hide from the ongoing war.
Doofenshmirtz: Well, at least we have some very... interesting... blueprints. (holds them and becomes fascinated before Perry slaps him in the face) Thank you, Perry the Platypus. I needed that.
The guards smash open the doors, revealing that they hid in a closet. They climb through the roof, and out to the other part of the lobby as more guards appear and start shooting at them.
Phineas: There! A "Safe-Guard teleportation machine." That can help us!
Guard: Throw... the whirlpool bomb.
Guard #2: On it. (lines up the measure and calculations directly at the guys)
Perry grabs a wrench and throws it at the machine, activating it.
Machine: Commencing teleportation.
As the machine lines up, the guys races towards it as the bomb prepares to be fired.
Machine voice: Bomb ready to be activated.
The bomb is fired, and the entire lobby fills up with water, then it begins to swirl around, like if it were a big whirlpool.
Baljeet: (gurgling in the water) A giant... whirlpool... in the lobby?
Doofenshmirtz: How unfortunate.
Phineas: There! It's still active! (the machine is floating underwater, with a swirling blue circle) Everyone, take a deep breath; this could be rough.
Everyone takes a deep breath as they go into the water, missing all the debris as they fly by. They should reach the machine and they swim into it as the water dries out. They land in a mysterious room.
Buford: Okay, where did we land?
Phineas: I don't know, it's... (notices something) Gary?
Gary and Spot are in shackles, both of them looking very sad. They loosen the shackles, helping them get out. Perry chatters to Gary, who meows, the two of them understanding each other as they continue making their noises. Perry then chatters to Phineas.
Phineas: You're saying that you got caught, and that they're a machine that is dimensional?
Gary meows, then leads the group directly to the machine, which is currently in sleep mode.
Doofenshmirtz: (gasps) My Other-Dimension-inator. Wait, how come he activated it? The first time I tried to activate it, it didn't work.
Ferb: You placed a self-destruct button, which I view as a completely unnecessary item.
Doofenshmirtz: Yeah, but for some reason, I like the self-destruct button. Then again, my evil plans fail because of either me or Perry the Platypus touching it and my inators exploding as a result.
They walk up to the machine.
Phineas: How do you activate it?
Suddenly, the doors open, and Austin, Ally, Trish, and Dez run towards them.
Trish: Sorry we're late. We couldn't find you, so we pretty much checked everywhere until we got here.
Ally: Yeah, and... (notices machine) uh, what is that?
Phineas: Well, Dr. D built an Other-Dimension-Inator, but it's in sleep mode. Oh, and we found some mysterious plans.
He lays the blueprint on the floor to show the four teens, then it suddenly activates a real-life experience holographic projection.
Austin: Um, what is it doing?
Buford: Well, something crazy, I'm sure.
The projection shows a big machine on top of a building that is both high and wide. The machine fires a beam at the sky, which rumbles and suddenly tears itself apart to reveal a strip of something purple, before it suddenly flickers out. The source is revealed to be the blueprints being burned out to a crisp by the robotic spider from earlier.
Doofenshmirtz: Hey, look, (picks up spider) it's a cute, cuddly, robotic... (the spider latches onto his face and he begins screaming) Get him off me! (begins walking randomly) Get this scary monster off of my face!
Everyone looks utterly disturbed, except Buford and Dez, who are laughing at this.
Buford: I can't believe that spider just attacked his face!
Dez: Yeah, that was crazy!
Ally: Why are you laughing? That's not funny, that's disturbing!
Dez: Oh, sweet, gullible, innocent Ally. I'm sure that the doc isn't that terrified.
Doofenshmirtz: Get this creature out of my face! (pulls the spider out, which falls to the floor, then he crushes it with a book 8 times. A brief silence, then he smashes it one more time; he sighs in relief) That was terrifying, but at least it's over now.
The alarm sounds, and security arrives immediately afterwards, surrounding them.
Doofenshmirtz: I spoke too soon.
Meanwhile, underground, SpongeBob and Patrick are still being carried by Anti-SB and his guards, as they are still continuing to walk. Suddenly, a candle flickers as some noises are heard.
Anti-SB: Someone's here. Keep a lookout; they may be nearby.
The guards, arming their weapons, surveillance the area as Anti-SB and a few other guards continue carrying the sponge and star directly down the hallway.
Anti-SB: (looking at SpongeBob and Patrick) I've watched you two from afar. Your friendship is deemed a key to saving the world, but it serves as your downfall.
SpongeBob: What are you talking about?
Anti-SB: Your friend. He has done something... drastically disastrous to you. Right when we're getting that paper...
Patrick: How did you know that?
SpongeBob: Patrick, what is he talking about? And what do you mean by "paper?"
Anti-SB: You never knew, didn't you? Your friend has kept something from you, but he won't tell that secret; rather instead, he'll keep running away, hoping that his problems go away, like if it were in a storybook. But the truth is, that we all have to wake up, and eventually, your secret comes out. No matter how hard we try, someone will know eventually. I see inside Patrick a despicable soul, a rotten, dirty, corrupt person who harms others because of his stupidity. He is seen as a disappointment and a failure, and pretty soon, my child, you will find the truth and see it all within him. (whispering to SpongeBob) And that truth... will be one that will have you doubting your faith in him.
SpongeBob, highly disturbed at what he just heard, looks at his best friend with a look that is a mix of both suspicion and anger, believing that his best friend is hiding a dark secret from him, which jeopardizes their friendship.
Meanwhile, Jessie and the Ross kids are continuing their walk towards the giant maze. They are panting heavily, due to them having walked for a really long time.
Luke: Whoa, this maze is not like the puzzles.
Jessie: Yeah, cause you can't cheat your way out of the maze by just drawing a line directly to the finish from the start.
Suddenly, it begins to snow.
Zuri: Hey, look, snow! This is awesome!
Ravi: Wait a minute. There are no clouds above us. There has to be precipitation from a cloud so that it may snow, and in case you're wondering, precipitation is rain.
They continue walking through the snow, and then it rains eventually, before they make it to the end of the maze.
Emma: That was a crazy maze; it was able to be both warm and snowy at the same time! I think I still have some in my ear... (tilts her head and some snow falls out)
Luke: At least we're out. I think our friends are right near that giant door.
They head inside, but unfortunately, security holds them at laser gunpoint, where the room is revealed to be the one where the inator is seen, alongside everyone else.
Phineas: Um, this is awkward.
Jessie: Extremely awkward.
Meanwhile, back at the party, everyone is preparing positions, ready to save the sponge and star from the super-powered supervillain. Miley and Lilly, under their amazing celebrity designs, Hannah Montana and Lola Luftnagle, respectively, approach the stage, preparing to help bring that crowd some happy cheers - and also a distraction for the rest of their group to sneak inside the door and enact the rest of the plan.
Hannah: Hey, everyone, it's famous celebrity, Hannah Montana, and I'm here to give some fun times!
Everyone cheers in response, then begin chanting the singer's name in response. An assistant then brings a wagon filled with magical props.
Hannah: Hey, um, what's with the magical props?
The assistant points up to the sign: "Magic show and singing night: all contestants must perform at least one act."
Lola: A magic and singing performance? A bit crazy, but don't worry. We have something amazing to show!
Hannah: (whispering to her friend) And by that, you mean nothing.
Lola: (whispering back) Let's just make something up as we go along.
Hannah: (sticks her hand in a top hat) Before I sing, I'll do a quick magic act. (pulls out a tiny helicopter blade) Um, what is... (the blade begins to fly and carries her with it; she spins around a few times before landing on the ground safely. The crowd laughs and cheers at the same time) Thank you! You're a great audience, and now, I will sing! (the crowd cheers once more)
The crowd cheers as the music begins to play.
Isabella: Perfect! Now all we have to do is distract the security guard, and we're ready!
The security guard, who's a muscular tough guy, is guarding the door. Oliver approaches him, with a deck of playing cards in his hand.
Oliver: Hey, you want to see a really cool card trick? (holds a card) This is your card?
Guard: No.
Oliver: (holds another one) Is this your card?
Guard: No.
As they continue, everyone else sneaks near the door. Candace grabs the keys, places them on the lock, and the door opens quietly, as the girls sneak into the room carefully.
Meanwhile, underground, Anti-SB, dragging SpongeBob and Patrick, reach a nearby safe, which is very giant, with wires taped to it. There are green and orange scented candles on the top of the safe and the nearby railings.
Anti-SB: This is where the final piece of the project will be. A giant safe door that is activated only through the power of music. You two will attempt to make a melody of your own to open that thing. Do it, and you may be spared. (releases their cuffs, causing the two to briefly fall, before they lift themselves up again)
SpongeBob: What is that that you're hiding from me?
Patrick: (rambling) I'm not hiding anything. Why would I hide anything? It just seems so ridiculous for me to hide something. I mean, like the toy car, the shopping cart, those flower pedals, I mean, it's just so crazy that the world would hold...
SpongeBob: (annoyed; sarcastically) Are you done?
Patrick: Yes. Yes, I am.
The two walk up to the floor, which has tiles, resembling those of dance floors.
SpongeBob: (touches one of the tiles, which produces a musical sound; he repeats the process again) We have to create a musical piece so we can open this safe.
Patrick: I got one. (steps on all the tiles in a crazy pattern, which causes a giant axe to nearly crush him; he stops in shock, then looks at the axe) Oh, God. Oh, my God.
Anti-SB: The tiles are booby-trapped through incompetent music. Only through the melody of teamwork can you crack this safe open.
SpongeBob: We have to work together. Follow my lead, and then, we lead to our own, and then, back together.
Patrick: Gotcha, buddy.
SpongeBob steps on a tile, then another one, then leaps and steps on another one, with Patrick following the movements he makes. They join together, and leaps doing more tiles, with hip-hop dance music playing as they step on more tiles. They join in synchronization as they twirl around, leap into the air, and spin around. They then spilt off for musical movements in other ways. SpongeBob steps on a few tiles, then sticks one finger on the tile, as he spins in the air, then moves around, with his hands and feet stepping on the many tiles before landing a perfect pose. Patrick jumps, before spinning around, then leaping into the air, snapping his fingers while worthwhile, before his hands hit the floor, as he spins up before landing perfectly on the ground. Both friends share a clap while stepping on the tiles, before stepping on more tiles while jumping up and down. They share a double spin before landing exceptionally phenomenally on the ground, with the tiles sounding a fanfare before they turn off. While they were doing their performance, Sandy and Harley arrived, carefully hiding near a crate.
SpongeBob: So, what now?
Patrick: Beats me.
The tiles suddenly change color, then they tilt away as they move into the left and right sides of the room. A giant pool of lava forms, much to the shock of the friends, but a giant metallic bridge forms. A buzz-like beep noise is heard, as the safe adjusts itself to opening, and the door reveals a strange piece of machinery.
Anti-SB: Seize the art. (the soldiers steal the piece, which is a metallic piece of a giant magnifying glass combined with a metal stick and diamond boxes of pristine beauty wrapped in a laser red system) And as for them, take them out.
The soldiers grab SpongeBob and Patrick's hands and then pin them to the wall, before holding out a laser gun, making it clear that they want to kill them.
Patrick: Wait! Please don't kill us!
SpongeBob: You promised you would let us go!
Anti-SB: I said I did... didn't I?
SpongeBob and Patrick look horrified, having figured out the meaning of what he said, "let them go... to heaven." A finger is placed on the trigger, and the two friends brace themselves, but Sandy uses her karate to take down the guards. Anti-SB releases a bolt of lightning at her, but she dodges, and she grabs one of the guns, before she fires a laser at him, which electrocutes and presumably kills him.
Sandy: Hey, fellas! What'd I miss?
SpongeBob and Patrick: Sandy!
The three give high fives and handshakes to each other.
SpongeBob: How'd you find us?
Sandy: A little special device, and a new friend.
Harley walks up to the trio.
Harley: So these are your friends? Surprisingly agile, and I liked the teamwork you two put together while you were dancing.
Sandy: (gesturing to both sides) SpongeBob and Patrick, Harley. Harley, SpongeBob and Patrick.
SpongeBob: (shaking the girl's hand) Nice to meet you; say, are you an inventor?
Harley: Um, yes. Me and your friend have great skills on our inventing.
Sandy: Yeah, we'll show you later. Let's get out of here.
Patrick: Wait, we can't let him grab that piece for his plans. I'll do it.
He walks towards the safe, but Anti-SB, having survived, grabs his leg and throws him down to the ground.
Anti-SB: Did you really think it would be that easy to get rid of me? (holds up a sword) Time for you to die.
SpongeBob jumps on the villain and presses a green button, electrocuting him and sending him flying to the wall.
Anti-SB: We're not through, kid. Your friend will reveal the truth, even if I have to force it out of him. Seize the equipment, and capture them.
More guards appear and hold weapons.
Patrick: Hey, did you get a new haircut? No, wait, you gotta get one. Okay, thanks. Anyways, run!
The four of them run as the guards and soldiers chase after them, shooting lasers at them. Some of them steal the piece, attaching a helicopter blade to the top, and then remotely controlling flying it onto the top of the building.
Meanwhile, the girls come out of the elevator, and they start walking down the hall.
Cyd: So, this is the way they are?
Isabella: I'm not sure, but they have to be here.
The lights flickers and noises are heard in the form of firing lights.
Candace: Probably just the wind.
A laser nearly hits them and damages a nearby lantern.
Shelby: What the heck?
Frankie: Wait, I hear something. Squishing footsteps?
SpongeBob: Run! They're here!
Sandy: (explaining to the others) We got them out, but they're trying to catch us! We'll explain the rest later! For now, we gotta get out of here! (more lasers are fired as the group runs from the guards)
They reach the elevator, but one of the guards activates an electrocution bomb, frying the panels.
Patrick: It's no use!
Sandy: We have to find another way!
They reach a visible open door point on the ceiling.
Isabella: We can use that as our exit!
Paige: But how? It's too far!
SpongeBob: Don't worry! I keep a box of emergency supplies in my pocket. (pulls out a box, and tries to find something) Toy car, fireworks, gold statue... a-ha! A grappling hook! (pulls it out)
He aims it at the ceiling and it activates, flying through the window and smashing it.
SpongeBob: Everyone, grab on! (everyone grabs onto the kid) Here we go!
Just as the lasers nearly hit them, he fly directly towards the ceiling back onto the room. They land miraculously in perfect position on the ground. They flee just as more lasers are fired into the ceiling, as the audience gasps when he see a piece of debris fall into the ground. Realizing it's not a light show, they scream in terror and begin running out of the room. Anti-SB, with the use of his anti-gravity boots, crosses his fingers and does a mystical movement with his hands, and in turn, it opens a green portal back to the facility where the guards have the others surrounded.
Anti-SB: Bring the equipment. And make sure they're found.
As Anti-SB enters the portal, the guards, holding weapons up, scan the area to make sure they're not here. Right after they pass a table, everyone is there, hiding very carefully. Right after Patrick sticks out one foot, a guard grabs him, and throws him onto the stage where Hannah and Lola are. SpongeBob is also caught, and he tries to fight back, but he accidentally hits the laser gun, electrocuting both himself and the guard, and he also gets thrown onto the stage, where the Portal Box gets activated, sending all four of them into a pink portal. The other guards locate where the others are and hold them at gunpoint. Sandy uses her karate to take down one guard, and the laser gun is fired, directly at the security guard Oliver was distracting earlier, knocking him unconscious.
Sandy: We need to get out of here!
Oliver, noticing what had happened, approaches to the rest of the group, and they race through the portal. At the same time, the pink portal reappears, and Miley and Lilly, back in their regular clothes and hairstyles, alongside SpongeBob and Patrick, fly out, hitting the ground. More guards appear, holding weapons. Miley, noticing a little blue ball, grabs it, and throws it at a guard, causing him and his comrades to fly into other parts of the room, knocking them all out. The four race towards the portal, where everyone else is there. It's also the same room where everyone else is there, being at gunpoint as well.
Phineas: Oh, hey, you had a pretty crazy adventure.
Patrick: Well, we're not done yet.
Right before the guards can attack, Mr. Krabs appears and uses his claws to attack the guards, and also uses Squidward as a spinning stick to easily wipe the floor with the rest.
Mr. Krabs: Hey, lads! We found a way out!
Squidward: Yeah, and I wish you didn't twist my body like that! (sucks his thumb, and blows, reinfecting it back to normal)
Harley: Perfect! Let's just get the rest of our friends, and get out.
The alarm blares, and more personnel arrive.
Miley: Good point.
As everyone runs, Anti-SB, having used a clocking device, laughs deviously, then activates another portal which looks like a science room; he then steps into said portal, right before it closes.
Meanwhile, Plankton, Karen, Barry and Naldo come out of the room they were previously in.
Plankton: Well, now that we know, let's go find them and try to figure this mystery.
Barry: It's like a complex puzzle that seems to get more complicated the more we play.
Naldo: Is it like those other puzzles?
Barry: Renaldo, it is nothing like that.
Karen: Okay, so, let's go.
They pass through an invisible laser line, which traps them in a cage. It then floats, and the screen reads "Coordinates for Portal City."
Plankton: Portal City? Didn't we just go there?
A rift opens, and the cage flies through that.
Meanwhile, Riley and her friends come out of the room they were in.
Lucas: Okay, so this guy is planning these heists and stealing dangerous equipment for what?
Riley: I don't know, but didn't he used to be a good guy?
Maya: Uh, Riles, we don't know if that's true. I mean, there's no way of knowing if he's doing the right thing or not.
Riley: But, Peaches, he's obviously a more evil version of SpongeBob, who's a nice kid.
Farkle: She has a point. I mean, what is he planning?
Suddenly, everyone else is seen running.
Ally: Hi, guys. Let's get moving. There are guards trying to hurt us.
More lasers are fired. The five of them move as the guards are chasing after them.
Meanwhile, Alex, her brothers, and Harper are in the hallway, with their cool magic weapons.
Max: Okay, keep a sharp lookout. They could be anywhere.
Footsteps are heard, and Alex throws a mist bomb, which hits Doofenshmirtz.
Doofenshmirtz: (screams) I can't see! (continues screaming as he runs around, eventually grabbing a nearby bucket of water and dumping it onto himself; he sighs in relief) That's better.
Alex: Oh, my gosh! I am sorry for that!
Harper: She thought there were approaching guards.
More lasers are fired as more guards approach. One of them fires a bolt of lightning at Patrick, but SpongeBob grabs a metal plate to shield the impact, but it bounces back and hits them, electrocuting them. The energy also cross through Cyd and Shelby, and then crosses back to the Portal Box.
Emma: Um, what is happening?
Sandy: (realizing) We're about to head to another area in time.
When the girls' hands touch, the portal box activates, and in a bright light, they are transported by a black-and-white portal, ultimately landing on a black road somewhere. SpongeBob and Patrick observe the area and see flowers in the sky.
SpongeBob: It's Bikini Bottom. But it doesn't look right. Wasn't it all destroyed in the attack earlier?
Patrick: Hey, SpongeBob, look.
He points to their younger selves, who give each other high-fives before waking off in separate directions.
SpongeBob: I know this day.
Phineas: What?
SpongeBob: I know this day. This was the day me and Patrick got our club applications. But I didn't get in. I mean, why? I worked so hard, and how didn't they see the great progress I put in?
As SpongeBob explains, Patrick notices a red rift in the sky that is electrocuting.
Patrick: (realizing in horror) Oh, no... uh, SpongeBob, I gotta do something.
SpongeBob: What?
Patrick: I have to do something. It'll be quick! Don't leave without me! (runs off)
SpongeBob: Patrick, wait! Patrick! (grows a look of worriment and suspicion, noticing something mysterious about Patrick)
Well, that was a long chapter! It took me a long time, partially due to writer's block and school, but I did it! I have the next chapter, all planned out, so it won't take too long this time! Brace yourselves, for the next chapter will be a more emotional one, and one that entangles the darker side of the story to come! Stay tuned, for everything will be clear soon enough!
