My question is this, how did Maverick get shot down by a SAM missile, wasn't able to parachute in time, so hit the ground to hard, then was shot at by an enemy helicopter, and not get hurt? Then how does Rooter also get shot down by another missile, way to close to the trees, and not get hurt? This is an attempt to write a fanfiction about an alternate ending to Top Gun: Maverick.
