Days have passed since Bruce had his first ever Pokemon in battle against Samurai for the World Coronation Series. Now Bruce was on a plane to take him to the Sinnoh region. The reason was to go investigate Mount Coronet, a mountain that is not only rich with culture, but it is said to have strange properties that allow certain Pokemon to evolve.
'Professor Cerise told me to investigate Mount Coronet and it's strange wave patterns that allow certain pokémon like Magneton and Nosepass to evolve... might as well use the opportunity to train up Sobble, Zubat, Eevee, and Houndour.' thought Bruce to himself, figuring that getting some training in would help him, since he had another scheduled battle for the World Coordination Series in a few days.
For now though, he needed to get to Mount Coronet and investigate it!

A short time later, the plane landed in Bruce immediately headed to Mount Coronet. He knew he needed to investigate the mountain, since he had to report his findings back to Professor Cerise. A few moments later, after carefully charging through the mountains, he arrived at Mount Coronet.
"Wow, what a view."said Bruce to himself, admiring the view of everything.
That is when he pulled out some equipment that would allow him to scan the magnetic patterns of Mount Coronet, the same magnetic powers that let Magneton evolve into Magnezone, and so on! As he was investigating the strange wave patterns, not too far away where he was standing a pokémon was watching him.
The pokémon in question is a small, blue, canine Pokémon. It has a black torso and legs, a blue tail, and a yellow collar. It has rounded bumps on the backs of its forepaws. It has a black "mask" and red eyes. It stands on its toes instead of its entire foot. It also has developed two black appendages that hang down from its head.
The mysterious canine like Pokemon looked at Bruce with interest, before it closed its eyes and began looking at his aura. And for some reason, the canine like Pokemon fell at ease when it sensed Bruce's aura.
"Rio..."said the Pokemon to itself, before it decided to get closer.
Bruce on the other hand was busy studying the wave patterns and writing down his notes in a notebook. That is when he felt the hair is on the back of his neck stand up, indicating that someone was behind him!
"Who's there?"inquired Bruce, turning around to see the canine Pokemon looking at him straight in the eye.
"Who are you?"said Bruce as he pulled out the Pokedex app.
(Pokedex: Riolu, the Emanation Pokémon. A Fighting type. Riolu can understand how people and Pokémon feel by observing a kind of wave called aura. It has a flexible body with enough power to cross three mountains and two canyons in one night)
"So you can see my aura."said Bruce as he took a knee, so that he could look at the Pokemon straight in the eye.
"Ri..."said the emanation Pokemon, who appeared to be looking Bruce over.
"Is there's something on my face?"Bruce inquired, but the pokémon ignored him as he continued inspecting him.
That is when Riolu of nowhere grabbed his notebook, and began to run away, as fast as it's legs could take it!
"Hey! Come back!"shouted Bruce, before he began running after the emanation Pokemon!
Bruce quickly followed the fighting type pokémon through the mountains of Mount Coronet! He make sure to stay close to the emanation Pokemon, since one mistake could result in his notebook being lost forever!
He knew he could easily get another notebook, but that particular notebook had a lot of personal notes that he didn't want to lose, like foggy memories of him being in a city that was dark and always seemed to rain!
So Bruce continued running after the Riolu in question. He will not give up his notebook, as he followed the emanation Pokemon into a cave.
"Luckily for me I can see well in the dark."said Bruce, who continued following after the emanation Pokemon, even though both of them were moving in darkness!
Riolu meanwhile was using It's ability to see aura to allow it to move around in the dark! Bruce on the other hand has always been able to see in the dark, a skill he can't explain to this day...But that didn't matter to him at this moment, so if he needed to get his personal notebook back!
So Bruce continue to follow the emanation pokémon deeper and deeper into the cave! Until he spotted something that made his blood boil!
Inside the cave was a bunch of zubat locked up in cages! He couldn't believe what was happening until he saw a fat man wearing what appeared to be a minor uniform come out!
"Hey, what are you doing here?!"inquired the man that Bruce deduced was a Pokemon poacher.
"I'm wondering the same thing!"said Bruce, looking at the pokémon poacher with disgust.
"I'm here trying to make an honest living stealing Pokemon from their natural habitat!"set the Pokemon poacher without hesitation.
"You're not getting away with this!"stated Bruce, as he pulled out a pokeball.
"Yeah, just watch me."said the Pokemon poacher, as he pulled out a pokeball.
"Ri!"said Riolu, who got in between the poacher and Bruce.
"So you're the one who brought him here! I was trying to catch you for days since you're so rare, but now I'm going to have to teach you a lesson you're never going to forget!"state of the Pokemon poacher with anger.
"Bring it on!"stated Bruce, angry at this man for treating Pokemon as nothing more than a way to make profit.
"We'll see about that! Gyarados, come on out!"said the pokémon poacher, before he threw his pokeball and called out the Pokemon inside!
The Pokemon he called out was a piscine, draconic Pokémon with a long serpentine body covered in slightly overlapping scales. It is mostly blue with a yellow underbelly, and it has a row of yellow spots down each side. Its mouth is very large and gaping, bearing four pointed teeth and yellow lips. It has one pair of barbel and a small white fin on each side of its face. The barbels are white on a female and blue on a male. It has small, red eyes, a three-pointed, dark blue crest on its head, and four white, spiky dorsal fins. the Pokemon's tail fin is similar in structure to the crest on its head, except with a thin, white fin spread between the points.
"Who's that Pokemon?"that Bruce to himself as he pulled the pokedex app.
(Pokedex: Gyarados, the Atrocious Pokémon. A Water and Flying type. Rumors exist of a town that made Gyarados angry. That town was burned to the ground in one night, leaving no trace)
"Eevee, I choose you!"said Bruce, calling out the evolution pokémon for battle.
"Eev!"said Eevee, ready to throw down against Gyarados.
"Gyarados, use bite!"ordered the Pokemon poacher, causing the atrocious pokémon to charge towards the evolution Pokemon with the intention of fighting him!
"Dodge it, and use tackle!"ordered Bruce, causing the evolution Pokemon to jump out of the way, avoiding bite.
Eevee then charge forward and tackled Gyarados, causing some damage to the atrocious Pokemon!
"Use hydro pump!"ordered the Pokemon poacher, causing Gyarados to take in a deep breath before it unleashed a powerful blast of water!
"Use swift!"ordered Bruce, causing the evolution pokémon to move his tail to unleash a blast of stars towards Gyarados.
The hydro pump attack and Swift attack intercepted one another, canceling each other out!
"Use bite!"ordered Bruce, causing the evolution pokémon to charge towards Gyarados, before biting down on the atrocious pokémon's face, causing damage!
"Use bite on the trainer!"ordered the Pokemon poacher, deciding to have Gyarados attack Bruce.
So that is exactly what the atrocious Pokemon tried to do! It quickly knocked away Eevee, before it went over to Bruce with the intention of biting down on him! That is when the unexpected happened! Out of nowhere, Riolu intercepted a strike by taking the hit!
The emanation Pokemon then took in a deep breath before its eyes began glowing. A couple of moments later it used counter attack on Gyarados, causing twice the damage it took itself!
"Rahhhh!"said Gyarados as it was pushed back.
"You saved me? Why?"inquired Bruce, wondering why the wild Pokemon saved him.
Riolu said nothing as he took a battle stance, indicating that it wanted to fight too!
"Alright then! Eevee, use sand attack!"ordered Bruce, causing Eevee to kick up some sand before he knocked it towards Gyarados, causing the accuracy of the atrocious Pokemon to lower!
Riolu then use that opportunity to charge over at the atrocious Pokemon, before it used force palm on Gyarados, causing some damage!
"Use hyper beam!"ordered the Pokemon poacher, frustrated that his Gyarados was struggling so much.
That order caused Gyarados to taking a deep breath before and at least a powerful beam of energy towards Bruce, Eevee, and Riolu.
But all three of them managed to get out of the way, and that's when Riolo did something unexpected! It quickly looked at the move that Gyarados used and remembered it, before using copycat to unleash hyper beam it's self towards Gyarados!
Neither Gyarados or it's trainer were expecting this, since before either had a chance to dodge they were both hit with hyper beam! That powerful attack knock them both to a nearby wall, where was revealed that both the poacher and his pokémon Gyarados had been knocked out!
"Good job."said Bruce, before he noticed that the emanation pokémon fell to the floor.
"Are you okay?"inquired Bruce, wondering if Riolu was okay as he picked them up.
That is when Bruce got a good look at the Pokemon that was in his arms, and noticed that it had scratches all over.
"You have been trying to liberate your friends for some time... having you."said Bruce, realizing that Riolu must have been fighting for a long time without success!
That is why he stole his notebook! So that he could lure Bruce to this cave and help out his friends! Now the emanation Pokemon look like it was tired after a job well done.
"Let's call the police and get you some help."said Bruce, before he pulled out his rotom phone and began dialing a number.

A short while later the international police had arrived on the scene in liberated all the Zubat from their cage! An Offficer Jenny was escorting the Pokemon poacher into a police car, before she shoved them inside and motion for the car to take him away, which the police car quickly did!
"We happen after that poacher for weeks. Thanks for your hard work."said Officer Jenny to Bruce.
"No problem, it was my pleasure."said Bruce, as he was waiting next to a Nurse Joy, who is currently treating Riolu.
"And there...That medicine should make you feel all better."said Nurse Joy with a smile, just as the emanation Pokemon stood up and look like it felt a lot better.
"Well.. I'll leave them in your care."said Bruce, who was about to walk away before he felt someone tug at his shirt.
That made him look down to see Riolu looking at him with an interested look.
"What is it?"inquired Bruce, wondering what Riolu wanted.
"I think he wants to go with you."said a man who look like a detective.
"Really?"said Bruce, wondering why things like this keep popping to him.
"You're the only person who ran after this Riolu while he was looking for help. I'm also sure that your unique aura is something that Riolu resonates with. Since Riolu can see aura, I'm sure he'll want no other trainer than you."said the detective, who felt like Bruce's aura was something riolu felt comfortable with.
"Well... if you're willing to come along my journey. I suppose I have no problem with that."said Bruce, while pulling out a pokeball.
Riolu quickly smiled before he tapped his head on the pokeball, causing the pokeball to open up and absorb him inside! A couple of seconds of wiggling later, the emanation pokémon have been successfully captured!
"I just caught a Riolu!"said Bruce, while holding the pokeball high in the air.
"Now I have a Pokemon to take with me on my journey through the World Coordination Series."said Bruce, wondering what adventures he would have with Riolu now that he decided to join him.
Only time will tell!
