As Lancex explained all about his realm and his world as well as his history that he knew of to the curious other bots, Optimus was on the comm with Heatwave, well at least waiting for said bot to respond. After what felt like forever, but in reality was only a few minutes, the comm was picked up by Heatwave, who was surprised to receive the comm from Optimus. Optimus explained that the war was over and that he was coming to Griffin Rock regarding something important, particularly about his team, and to talk to both Heatwave and Chief Burns. Optimus also expressed that he would have two new bots with him and they should meet the team. Heatwave agreed to the plan and stated he would prepare his team, including the Burns family.
Optimus informed Heatwave that they would arrive tomorrow and to make sure the ground bridge worked properly so that they could cross between bases safely. Heatwave acknowledged that and then informed Optimus that he would have Graham and Boulder check to make sure everything worked well and that there were no glitches in the system. After that, seeing that all was just about ready for the trip, Optimus signed off. Now that this was taken care of, he had a slightly more pleasurable task to attend to ahead.
Optimus left the comm room and headed for the meeting area to let the others know what was going on. Optimus could hear Lancex talk more about his homeworld. Optimus smiled as he entered the room. Predaking was the first to spot the Prime and interrupted Lancex to acknowledge the Prime. Optimus felt bad for interrupting, but he explained that he contacted the Rescue bots and that he, Lancex, and Predaking would head there tomorrow.
Lancex added that he was just finishing up and so Optimus hadn't really interrupted anything at all. Optimus nodded, though he failed to see the confusion on Predaking and Lancex's faces as who were these new bots. But before Optimus went any further, he announced that they all needed rest and so Optimus took off with Predaking and Lancex so that they could recharge well before tomorrow.
