This really puts a damper on their plans, Skye thinks. Now how is she going to meet with Lincoln? Here they are in the conference room Brooke and here watching as the team approaches the building.

The group takes down the guards outside pretty swiftly. They split up and get ready to go.

"Switch to the inside cameras" Brooke says, and with a click of a button they can see inside.

Melinda and Nat kick the door with the others breaking through the back. They're immediately met with a rigged machine to blow this whole place up, and in the middle of the room is Robin tied to the chair. She looks fine, just a little messy. But out of the dark they see a woman come out of the shadows.

The audio isn't the best, all Brooke and Skye can make out is

"Ahh you all are here"

"Whoever you are, you are surrounded. Let the girl go" Clint responds.

"Now I haven't got what I want so nobody will be getting anything" the woman cackles.

"What do you want?!" Phil yells.

"I need to go" Skye tells Brooke, "Stay here"

"Wait where are you going?" Brooke asks.

"To help"

Brooke immediately gets up, her bubbly personality no where in sight.

"My mom, your boss said to stay here. I am not going to let some field agent wannabe go in and mess things up. That's my little sister in there. If you go in and screw anything up. My family and I are holding you personally responsible."

"Whoa, whoa what's happening in here" they hear and turn around. There stands Zach.

"Skye is thinking about going to help them."

"I just-I think maybe I can help" Skye mutters looking down. The tension is so thick you could cut it with a knife.

"What are you thinking?" Zach asks.

"Zach!" Brooke yelled, "You heard mom"

"Yeah but look" he says, pointing to the screen, "We need a new approach, they've been standing there for 15 minutes."

The woman is getting agitated.

"Give us Robin!" Maria yelled, still holding up her gun.

"I still don't have what I want!" The lady yells.

"We already asked you what you wanted." Phil yells.

"Honey" another voice says,"I have the serum"

A man walks out, holding a large syringe. Everyone starts to advance before more than 12 guards rush in to hold them down. They all can fight them, but they need a plan before doing that.

"You see" he begins, "I wouldn't have to do any of this if Shield didn't shut down our organization."

"What-" Natasha starts before the guy goes loony on them,

"We finally figured it out and everything and then Shield came to rescue them. But we couldn't settle. So we followed to the village and took out everything, but they were gone.

"What are you talking about?! Just give her back!"

He kept muttering to himself, "No why stop."

The man came inches to Robin as the others were scrambling to find a solution. A loud bang was heard and the door burst open again. And there was Skye with her hand outstretched. Beside her was a guy standing tall.

"Skye?" They gasp.

"Finally, I get what I want. Welcome back guys, make yourself at home." The man said.

"Not gonna happen" Skye said, her personality the complete opposite from what it normally was, "We're here for the girl."

"Aww, stay a while" The man grinned.

Skye and Lincoln approached, the guards making a pathway to.

"Lincoln, free the girl,"

"Ahh, not so fast" Cal starts but Skye holds up her hand and sends a blast of vibrations to Cal. He yells as he is thrown against the wall. When the guards were distracted with that, the rest of the team took the guards out.

Jiaying appears but is quickly thrown against another wall. Lincoln looks up after untying Robin to see Skye grinning at him, but the happy moment of winning is cut off when 3 shots are fired. Lincoln's body lurches before he falls to the ground. The blood is seeping through everything, and looking up she sees Jiaying and Cal both with guns. Her mind gets the better of her and the guns slowly explode and Cal and Jiaying are arrested.

Skye immediately runs over to Lincoln's body, now limp. She ignores the call of her name from Phil and May, too busy trying to save her best friend. One small blast of vibration and another, just trying to get his heart to start beating again. The blood is soaking through her pants and her shirt, but all she can think about is Lincoln. It wasn't supposed to end this way. They were supposed to be free together. They were supposed to do things together, be together.

"Skye" she hears.

"Skye"

"Skye"

"Skye!"

Her heart was shattering. But she looked up and saw Natasha bending down to her.

"Skye, he is gone. I am very sorry."

"No, no" Skye muttered between sobs, "I-I–..I can.- I"

"You can, you can, let's get back on the Bus. Phil will take care of him I promise"

"Mo-v" she gasps, "I- c-c-can't mo-vv-e" She pants trying to catch her breath.

"Mel!" Natasha yells, but Skye can't hear a thing. All she can hear is her heart racing, "Mel!"

Melinda rushes out to meet them. The rest of the team went back to the bus to help get ready to leave and get Robin checked out by Simmons. Melinda kneels down and places a gentle hand on Skye's cheek"

"Skye, Skye, look at me" Melinda begs. Would Melinda rather be with Robin, right now, yes, but Skye, a girl that just saved her daughter needs her.

Skye hesitantly looks up to see Natasha and Melinda looking down at her. Her gasps started to slow, before she could even respond, "That's better. Do you think you can stand up?"

Skye, not trusting to speak, gives a nod before Natasha and Melinda help her up. They lead her to the bus as she tries to not look back.

As they arrive on the bus Skye can feel the eyes on her. They want to know. But can she tell them?

"Skye?" She hears.

She looks up, and there she sees Nicky. The Pirate. Nicholas Fury.

"Nicky?" she whispers, "Lin-" but her voice dies.

"I know," he says, watching as everyone is watching them.

She walks towards him slowly before running and hugging him. This surprises everyone. Fury is a very serious man and here he is hugging someone.

"We need to have a talk" Fury directs to Melinda and Phil and the rest of the team.
