Dimensional Theory for Dummies

I have decided to write this both as the way to educate the newly turned fae as well as to disabuse the fae coming from the twenty-first century of some strange notions propagated by their media.

Namely, dimension and universe are not the same thing!

I have lost count how many times I had to explain this.

Honestly, as a genuine high dimensional beings it is embarrassing for you not to know this.

Dimensions are coordinates used to specify where exactly in space-time you are.

For example, as most of you used to be humans you moved in four dimensions and perceived three. You moved Forward/Backwards, Left/Right, Up/Down, and Forward in Time, and perceived Forward/Backwards, Left/Right, Up/Down.

There are no so-called dimensional barriers that stops you from going to different dimensions, it is simply that as a human being you couldn't perceive them, even if you existed in them.

For example, being that is capable of moving and perceiving in three standard dimensions of space and spirit dimension as well would perceive besides usual three directions a fourth one that humans can't interact with.

If said person moved deeper in that direction, from a human's perspective that person would fade away like a ghost.

Yes, one of the new directions you can move in and see is the spirit dimension.

As fae grow more powerful they can move in and perceive more and more dimensions.

Dimensions that even the weakest fae interact with are these:

-Normal three dimensional space

-Dimension of consciousness

-Spirit dimension: Dimension that houses the spirit body and ego of living beings.

-Astral dimension: dimension that represents concepts and simbolizam of things, beings and places.

-Soul Dimension: Yes, even though the spirit is part of the soul it's not in the same dimension as the rest of it. This dimension houses the soul core and it's records.

-Can move forward in time, like most other beings.

As you see, if you disregard time, most weaker fae are seven-dimensional beings.

Thus….

-Fionn ap Asteron-

Sitting inside his bath and soaking in steaming water, Fionn meditated.

This was his morning ritual. He would wake up at five am and exercise and train with a weapon. Afterwards he would come home to wash away the sweat and relax a little as well as practice his occlumency and check on his mindpalace, and soulpalace.

It's time to exit the bath or else I might stay here too long.

This was one of the better sides of being a fae. He experienced reality to an incredible degree, human beings literally can't imagine how he sees the world now. With his innate ability of Sight he could not only see but also experience the world through touch, hearing, taste along with multiple other senses that humans don't possess to such an extent that sometimes he wanted to do nothing but observe the world in wonder.

In hundred years of living as a fae and experiencing this new sight he didn't grow bored and indifferent to it. Another boon of being fae, he will never find his experiences becoming stale.

Fionn exited out of the bath, hot water splashing on the floor beneath him. With a flex of will he was dry again and heading out of the bathroom, his bare feet slapping against worm marble.

As he entered his bedroom, he paused.

His wife was still sleeping. She was hugging the pillow, her face covered with fiery crimson hair, her pointy ears peeking through. She was naked, her plump ass facing him.

With difficulty, he ignored the urge to slap it. As much as it would be fun to wake her up by giving that magnificent booty a smack, it was not worth it. She would be annoyed with him and would pout the whole morning.

Rhyas snuggled deeper into her pillow, sighing sleepily and swaying her ass in the process.

Forget about it, it's totally worth it. He thought in satisfaction as a smack and feminine yelp echoed through the room.

….

-Rhyas ferch Asteron-

She glared sleepily at her husband as they ate breakfast inside the dining room.

Honestly he behaves like a horny impulsive teenager sometimes, she thought. Although, she is guilty of the same thing…

Their rebirth into fae truly changed them. It was as if weight they didn't even feel before was lifted from them. They still possessed all memories, experience and wisdom they gained through millennia of their past life. And yet they feel young again. The weight of years not burdening their fae minds like it used to when they were human. They changed.

The biggest change from how she was before is how she thinks. Her thought pattern changed drastically from before. She was still her… yet she was different now.

She felt emotions in greater intensity than when they were human, and some emotions that she has now humans do not experience.

She can't tell an outright lie now. Oh, sure she can deflect and mislead but she can't tell something she doesn't believe is true in the same way fish can't put on pants and boots and go on the walk through park.

She also has an attitude towards debts that before becoming fae she would have thought extreme. Sure paying her debts was important to her before but now owing someone something was incredibly uncomfortable.

She has a pair of internal scales that are always in the back of her mind, showing her how much she owes or is owed.

One is for official deals and debt, debts of this nature she can't ignore and is compelled to repay it, in the same manner someone that owes her a debt that shows on this scale is magicly compelled to repay it. The other is for unofficial debts and she is able to ignore it, however it is connected to her emotions and if she doesn't balance that scales whatever emotions of slight or gratitude she had as a result will not be dampened by time.

She can't thank or apologize directly to someone because that would acknowledge officially that she is in their debt. If it is not specifically stated that it is a gift she can't take anything from anyone without placing herself in their debt. The opposite is also the truth, others can't thank or apologize to her or accept anything without being placed in her debt.

She was broken out of her thoughts when her brutish husband picked her out of her chair casually, sat himself in her chair and plopped her down into his lap.

He hugged her from behind and started peppering her neck with gentle kisses.

"I'm still annoyed at you." She said to him, she was not a morning person at all.

Still she melted into his warm embrace. She was not annoyed enough to not enjoy his ministrations.

Fionn was very generous with his hugs and other shows of affection, despite his stoic nature. This was true even in their previous life.

She always found it adorable, he is like a grumpy but cuddly bear.

"I… am… sorry… love. What…can.. I.. do.. to.. make.. it …up.. to…you?"he asked between kisses and she could feel her official scales tilting tiny bit in her favor.

She knew that he would never acknowledge his debt to anyone but her, no matter how minor.

Still even though she was capable of voiding any debt to her no matter how small or big because of their love, she did no such thing.

"Hmm, I guess that I can find some use for you." She purred. She usually prefers being a sub when their bedroom activities turn kinky, but sometimes she likes to switch things up a little.

Fionn tensed little, clearly seeing a long night of edging in his immediate future.

"Cruel woman." He rumbled. And she felt the scales, that were a tiny bit leaning out of balance since this morning, righten. And with that her annoyance was gone.

She adjusted her position on his lap so he had easier axes to her lips. He did just that, easily understanding her silent demand. And she melted into it.

-Grar-

He along with a few of his clan hunters escorted the youth of his clan to the clearing in the forest with a large towering tree in the middle of it. A full silver moon hanging above them was their only illumination.

Usually they don't do this, they do not hunt or travel by night. But tonight was a special occasion.

Eighty winters ago his grandfather started this tradition and since then the clan followed it. It became the right of adulthood for youth to pass through.

As his father the Chef sat on the ground before the tree, a few girls came and laid the wolf fur on the ground before him along with a small feast of fruits and honey. After that Gror and the rest of the clan made a half circle behind the Chef.

When everyone was in their position his father spoke, "Great Fionn, Origin of Magic, Archon of Stars. I summon you. If it pleases you, come forth and hold peaceful discord with us."

In the next moment the Great Spirit Fionn was there as if he always stood before them.

He looked like a human, but…

He was so handsome, his appearance so perfect, his movements so graceful that it sends the chill down his spine. Even the women of the clan find him unnerving, even though they themselves say that they never saw such a good looking man.

But that is the crux of the matter, his appearance is so perfect that it is blatantly obvious that he was no man.

It is strange you would think that you can't be too beautiful, that you can never be so beautiful as to be terrifying. He thought so once as well, now… Now he honestly thought that he would be less unnerved by the dragon.

"Great Fionn, please join me for a meal in the spirit of hospitality."

The spirit with fair hair, that reflected the light in the way he had never seen before, and glowing purple eyes sat on the roots beneath the tree and took a bite from one of the fruits from the pile before him.

"Ahh Teren, of course I accept your hospitality.'' Spirit spoke, then paused, "there are more of you now then there was last time. And where is this place, when you summoned me last time you were near the coast."

"Our greater numbers are thanks to you, Great Fionn. With your boons our clan has grown strong and numerous. And we are on the great planes."

Spirit hummed in thought and his eyes looked into the distance.

"Ahh I see, we are in doggerland then. Well then, let's begin."

His father nodded, not asking about Spirit's strange name for the great planes, and motioned for Grar's son to come sit beside them.

"This is my grandson. He will be the first to bargain with you tonight, Great Fionn."

The spirit just nodded and looked at his son.

"Great Spirit, I , as is tradition among my clan, want to bargain for a boon of Spiritual Self Awareness."

Boon of Spiritual Self Awareness, the power that propelled their clan to new heights. It granted them the self awareness of their souls. Which granted them awareness of their internal energies.

With this boon they learned how to manipulate their energies. They learned how to use their Life Force to heal, to sharpen their senses, to strengthen their bodies.

It changed their way of life.

Every member of the clan, both male and female, bargain for this boon. Sometimes more ambitious ones want to bargain for other boons, most of the time they are content with just a boon of Spiritual Self Awareness.

After all, bargaining with a spirit is dangerous and you can lose important things if you are not careful.

The boon of Spiritual Self Awareness is in the sweet spot of powerful, but relatively cheap. Well not cheap, but if you lose something you never knew you had and even if you did you don't know how to use it anyway, can you really look at it as valuable.

The Great Spirit nodded his head. "Well you know the price for that boon. In exchange for it I want your inner animal form."

His son nodded his head and agreed, this was after all standard price for the boon.

Spirit placed his hand on the boy's forehead, and his son seemed to fall in a daze. From which he woke up from when spirit spoke.

"You had a cave lion in you, that's impressive. Anyway, do you want to bargain for more?"

His son nodded, and Gror's heart started to beat faster. He hoped that foolish boy won't damn himself.

"I want to gain the ability to wield magic."

You stupid brat, don't ask for something too costly.

He remembered one of his friends asked for boon of invulnerability when he was his son's age. Spirit wanted his willpower in exchange. The fool just sat in the corner all the time, having no will to move, to speak and even to eat and drink. He only still lived because they cared for him to this day, he became the cautionary tale for children.

Still, he could understand his son's desire to wield magic. Although the manipulation of life force of his clan was a wondrous ability it can't be compared to the power and versatility of abilities of magic clans. Even better magic runs in blood, if his son gains magic then his grandchildren will have the gift as well.

But still… Price for such a power would be ruinous.

"Hmm… For such a boon, I would ask you to give me something great like your love for your family, all your happy memories, your self restraint and similar."Said spirit.

"I see… " Said his son and after a few moments of silence in which Grar started to believe that his son came back to his senses he answered. "Take my self restraint then."

Grar closed his eyes.

And with that deal was made and his son came back to sit beside him and one of the girls came to bargain for boons. All the while he couldn't look at his son, he couldn't believe that he accepted such a deal.

When the girl gained the standard Spiritual Self Awareness boon she spoke, "Great spirit, I want to bargain for another boon. I want the boon of Supernatural Beauty."

Oh heavens, are all youth of our clan arrogant, ambitious idiots?!

The girl wasn't ugly in fact she was rather pretty, there was no reason for her to request such a deal.

Spirit looked at her for the second and asked, "What will you bargain for that boon?"

"My dreams," She answered.

"Hmm, that is acceptable. I will take all your sleeping dreams." He said, and then continued with a chiding voice, "Be more careful with your words next time you are making a deal."

And with that, between one moment and the next she became more beautiful.

Grar was mesmerized. It wasn't the unnaturally perfect beauty of the spirit, it was a beauty of humans just enhanced. He could still see her small imperfections and yet he was so mesmerized that he forgot to breathe. In that moment he would have done anything this beautiful creature asked of him. He would keep her safe, keep her feed, keep her satisfied, and he would have his way with her.

He was interrupted from his thoughts when his son shoved him away and lunged for the girl.

It was enough to snap him out of his trans.

Damn it boy, he thought as he ran to restrain his now incredibly impulsive son.

-Fionn ap Asteron-

Fionn sat in a clearing in a forest, beneath the star filled night sky, now alone.

It was nice to visit the mortal world a little. Even if it is dull compared to Faewyld (it just isn't magical enough).

With a sigh he directed part of his consciousness into his soulscape, and appeared inside the room that looked like a library. But unlike the enormous room full of books which contains his memories (both one inside the soulscape and one inside mindscape), this room has just under a thousand books. With thought fifteen new books appeared floating behind him, and he started to put new books on the shelves.

Soon enough he was holding the last one depicting a cave lion on its covers.

This was one of the innate abilities of their new race. Fyrnenon are natural shapeshifters and they can change shape into practically anything both animate and inanimate. This room was a representation of an inbuilt part of Fyrnenon soul that holds all templates that they made for shapeshifting.

It allows Fyrnenon to change from lightning fast one centimeter tall man that weighs one ton, to the giant with a skeleton made of alchemically created metal with instant regeneration, to the nuclear submarine at a speed of a thought.

Given of course that you have a template stored in your soul. These templates are not unlike fae titles in that they are made out of records, although not as powerful as they are not realities unto themselves but a mass of records representing one form.

You can also shapeshift freestyle, without needing a template, of course, but it is more difficult (but still possible) to shapeshift into more complicated forms that way.

And while you can make a template yourself, changing your shape and recording the final product in your soul, you can also take it from someone else.

The inner animal forms of humans are ideal for this. They hold conceptual weight, so much so that when a human assumes his animal form with magic they gain the ability to converse with that species. The ability is so potent that upon the longer exposure the animal will gain human level of intelligence permanently.

When he finished, he whindrew his consusnes out of his soul and stood up.

He wanted to sight see a little. He didn't see doggerland when he was in the mortal world previously. And he was a little curious, after all this landmass sunk long before he was born in his past life.

Just then he felt a summoning, not for him specifically but for anyone with the ability to make deals that would listen.

That said, the aura of the summoner was alarming.

From the feel of his presence he was corrupted. However, it was unluckily that someone would answer his summoning. None of the weaker beings that liked to make deals would dare answer and he didn't put enough energy into the summoning for it to reach the stronger ones who usually live in other dimensions.

Lucky him, I am close enough to hear him.

He answered the summoning and teleported into a cave.

Inside a human (Homo neanderthalensis not Homo sapiens, they still haven't come to Eurasia yet) sat against the cave wall, bleeding out. His arm was missing and the fourth of his body seemed to be covered in third degree burns. To his side was the unconscious teenage boy that looked to be about fourteen. It was clear that the man was dying.

Fionn could feel corruption of eldritch order, suffusing man's wounds and worming its way into his soul.

"Well, you summoned me. What do you want, mortal?" he asked while discreetly using magic to prolong the man's life long enough to hear about the source of this corruption.

"Who are you, fae?"

"I am Fionn, Origin of Magic, Archon of Stars," he answered. After all, there is no need to be rude.

There was a short silence as the man seemed to reevaluate the situation. After all he was expecting weaker Fae or some devil, not someone who was clearly an Archfae. He needed to rethink what he wanted from a deal now that he found out that the other party can offer more than he thought before.

"I am Harz. And I seek from you three things. First, take revenge for my clan." He rasped out. "Second, give my nephew the ability to use magic, he was the only child in the clan that was born without it. And third, find him a good clan to join. I am willing to give you almost anything for this."

Third request took him by surprise, but he could see the reason for it. Even if he had the ability to use magic he still wouldn't know how to use it, and wild is deadly for even experienced human hunters let alone a lone teenager.

This Harz was suffering from the case of survivors guilt. His clan all died recently against the foe that he escaped from along with his nephew. Fionn could feel records of his desperate battle against the abominations and subsequent run from them echo in his soul.

He wanted for the last member of his family to survive and thrive.

"Very well, for the first request I want all your memories relevant to the battle in which you gained these injuries and your ability to learn."

When Harz voiced his agreement he continued. "For the second, I feel that you are a great hunter, most of your magic is geared towards that. I want all your experience as a hunter." To which Harz agreed.

"And for the third, I want your defiance in this moment."

After getting an agreement Fionn started to work.

Leveraging the titles Fae, Fae Lord and Archfae he initiated Fae Deal.

He entered into his mind and took memories of his battle. Then he took the concept of learning from him, he will not be able to learn anything ever again. Then again he will die today so that's not much of a problem.

After that he reached deep into his soul and took his records as a hunter, as well as records of his defiance in his last moments.

After that he used Origin of Magic and Archfae to give the boy a boon Gift of Magic, and then stored him in his pocket dimension, l will give him to Teren after I deal with this little outsider infestation.

But before that… It would be cruel not to end his suffering, especially with outsider corruption growing inside him. He thought as he looked at Harz. With a thought he expelled his soul out of his body and teleported to his target.

.

.

Fionn appeared inside the forest corrupted with an eldritch order.

Trees were made out of metallic substance with a chalk like texture and instead of a fresh green smell, the forest exuded the smell of silicone.

The forest creatures were corrupted into eldritch aberrations with too many mouths, eyes and limbs. Their teeth and bones made out of metal, their blood out of mercury, their flesh out of silicone plastic.

These were creatures that decimated the clan of his recent contractor.

He strengthened his Sight and looked around. The underground caves were even more corrupt than the surface. And deep beneath the earth there was a pocket of space that likely contained the outsider responsible for this.

He refrained from looking inside, he didn't know if abomination was able to sense his gaze and he intended to deal with corruption around him before he attacked it.

The fae magic was much different than the magic of other beings. Fae magic uses the inner reality that their title incompases as a fondacion for magic.

Of course using multiple titles as a fondacion for spell is possible as well.

He started to erect shells and defenses against the outsiders. He already had passive ones and as an Archfae he was innately resistant to them but it's better to not take risks…After all, preparation is half a battle for a wizard.

(Origin of Magic, Inextinguishable Spirit, Zenith of Soul, Fae Archwizard)-Luminus Citadel, (Origin of Magic, Zenith of Mind, Indomitable Mind, Fae Archwizard)- Diamond Helm, (Origin of Magic, Fae Archwizard, Archon of Stars, Zenith of Space-Time, Zenith of Matter-Energy, Zenith of Soul, Archfae )-Mantle of Fae Cosmos.

Luminous Citadel is a spell used to defend against attacks on the soul and Diamond Helm is used to defend against attacks on the mind. He is already heavily defended by his soulscape and mindscape, but it is always good to have the first layer of defense outside of one's soul and mind.

Mantle of Fae Cosmos on other hand is a cloak of personal reality that is an all-round defense against hostile reality warping.

With his defenses ready it was time to cast an opening spell of this battle and leverage the environment in his favor. He marshaled needed titles and built a spell matrix around them in his mind.

When it was completed he pushed with his magic and the world around him responded.

(Origin of Magic, Archon of Stars, Fae Archwizard)-Immunity of Cosmos: Cleansing Light.

Night sky above him brightened as if in daylight, however the sun was not in the sky. The stars in the sky now much brighter and clearer bathed earth in silver light. Once faint constellations now shone brightly and before invisible galaxies and nebulas now hung starkly in the sky.

The spell connected concepts of stars and cosmos with the concept of the immune system, it makes reality think that the cosmos is like a biological being with an immune system and outsiders are foreign bodies.

And so, like ants under the magnifying glass, corrupted beings started to burn with silver flames under the light of the starry sky.

The silver light ignored all obstacles on its path, it passed through earth and stone as if it was glass and illuminated the tunnels and caves beneath the ground.

It quickly cleansed everything on its way and started to corrode the pocket dimension in which abomination hid.

Fionn could already feel attention upon him. The primordials and their progeny situated in what will once be Greece chief among them. However none interfered, even the most arrogant saw what was clearly an Archfae killing an outsider and let him be.

However among the curious but not hostile gazes there was one filed with malevolence, or rather something similar to it. It was not emotion per se, Fionn wasn't sure that the thing was capable of them, but rather hostile intent mixed with something he didn't understand.

Fionn strengthened his Sight again and pierced the dissolving pocket of space with his gaze.

The thing was not made out of either matter or energy, rather the best way he could describe it was solidified static. Its body was a glitching cloud filled with tentacles.

In that moment pocket dimension unraveled and starlight reached the thing.

It let out a not-roar/screech of pain that was not carried l through sound, but through waves of corruption going through both three basic dimensions as well as, soul dimension, dimension of consciousness, and astral dimension.

Abomination was literally unable to feel pain until now, the concept of pain not existing for it.

Alas for the thing, the concepts of the universe it invaded, that were as foreign to it as it was to the universe, were being imposed upon it with a medium of starlight.

It hurriedly tried to shield itself by corrupting reality around it and imposing its foreign laws on it, making a domain of sorts. Its influence spread fast and quickly approached him.

The area around the thing started to deviate from the norms of normal reality. Corrupted area turned black and white and mater inside it started to look weird, the area looked like low resolution pictures with incredibly visible pixels. It looked like a low resolution Minecraft.

This thing was stronger than I thought.

Before seeing it he thought that it was just some weaker outsider that sneaked in here when they breached into Abyss. Instead he found out that this thing was almost as strong as him.

The truth was that Fionn didn't take this thing seriously until now, he looked at this battle like a chore that he had to complete before going home.

Soon wave reached him.

All around him color started to leach out of the world and reality started glitching.

In this gray glitching space he was the only thing with color, separating him from the gray space was what at the first glance seemed to be a cloud of darkness filled with numerous little galaxies.

Luminous Citadel shining in astal and spirit planes was assaulted but held with a little difficulty.

Mental attacks shattered the Diamond Helm, but broke upon the defenses of his mindscape like the wave upon the cliff.

Mantle of Fae Cosmos, a mini universe of fae origin around him serving as the first line of defense from alien laws and attacks, started cracking.

Fionn didn't truly believe that these spells would fare well against such a concentrated attack. In fact he was surprised that the Luminous Citadel held out so well.

Spells like these that were all purpose shields usually don't last long in high level battles. They were not controlled by the caster after being deployed and because of that they were too rigid.

That said their strength came from the fact that they defend against almost all attacks that target the areas they defend. The other strength is that even when they are shattered they can reform with little investment of energy, without needing to cast the spell again.

With barely a thought Diamond Helm reformed and Mantle mended.

Around him, inside the thing's sphere of influence, the concept of space-time was erased. Only inside his Mantle of Fae Cosmos fabric of space-time still existed.

The thing launched a barrage of spears made of static caring alien laws and concepts at him and his Mantle held.

Abomination's domain started to intensify in strength and the world outside of his Mantle of Fae Cosmos lost any likeness to the normal world. The world outside of his Mantle would drive most beings mad with a look.

That said, it made a mistake.

The spell Immunity of Cosmos: Cleansing Light still kept going, making a cosmic immune system for the universe. And Fionn wasn't the one powering spell anymore, no he invested the power in bringing the spell into reality but after that the spell was being powered by universe itself.

And in the eyes of Fionn's spell, that has the weight of the universe behind it, the outsiders' domain is akin to cancerous growth.

The starlight intensified and started to pierce through the domain. Fionn could see shafts of silver starlight burning through alien reality around him.

Fionn raised his hand and began to cast again.

(Origin of Magic, Zenith of Matter-Energy, Zenith of Space-Time, Grand Artisan, Fae Archwizard)-Fractal Whip

He pulled a whip from thin air. It looked both like a wisp of clear liquid and as a cristiline whip with moving fractal patterns inside.

It was something as immaterial as fabric of space and time bunched, folded together and alchemically distilled into material form.

With an expert move he lashed out with it.

Whip tore through the outsider's domain as if it was paper and then sliced into the abomination.

It started to roar and its body started to glitch as he continued with his attack just as shafts of starlight started to reach it as well.

Figuring out that it can't win, the thing started to burov through space to escape but…

Fionn couldn't find where it was retreating, all dimensional spaces seemed empty.

Hurriedly he strengthened his Sight and followed the outsider with his eyes.

Fuck…

It was absolutely normal for the being one Fionn's and this outsider's level to be able to both perceive and move through multiple higher and parallel dimensions and planes. Fae and outsiders were especially good at this but…

This motherfucker's body stretches through multiple parallel universes.

He could see alternate versions of himself fighting it, and he could see when a few hundred of them realized the same thing as him.

His mind whirled at impossible speed, the world around slowed to the crowl in his perception as he began to cast.

(Origin of Magic, Zenith of Space-Time, Zenith of Mind, Prime Self, Fae Archwizard)-Trans Universal Mind Link

His mind connected with all versions of himself that were fighting the abomination and they unified into one whole with him as a Prime Fionn in the leading position.

As one they began to pool their power together and cast.

(Origin of Magic, Demiurge, Zenith of Matter-Energy, Zenith of Space-Time, Fae Archwizard, Archon of Stars)-Genesis Flame

Flames representing the creation of cosmos enveloped the abomination. Fueled by the combined might of Fionn's alternate self's, the flame of beginning consumed the outsider swiftly.

And with that battle was done. After all this outsider may be as strong as him but strength is not the most important parameter in battle. And Fionn is an old hand at magic warfare.

..

With one last swing of his scythe Fionn finished with his job and started to gather wheat into the piles. He could do it all with magic, but he enjoyed doing it with his hands.

Truthfully he was always a little regretful for harvesting it. It was a far too beautiful scene. A field of reddish gold wheat made out of solidified light of dusk, illuminating the night with its warm light.

This was no strange occurrence inside the realm of fae. In fact it is rather common. For Faewyld and its otherworlds are the realms of ever present change and chaos constrained only by a handful of ironclad laws. Rivers made out of liquid moonlight, trees made out of solid chirping of song birds, the grass made out of small grasping hands, the winds that blow back the clock of time, the seas whose dark depths are gates to the various afterlives, the constantly shifting fabric of space-time, and many such oddities.

Truly anyone but fae would have a nightmare navigating this beautiful, beautiful non euclidean eldritch paradise.

And he loved it all. Truly that fact alone showed how much he is different from the man he was in his past life. When he was a mortal he could have never felt at home in this beautiful eldritch hellscape.

Then again he was reborn as an eldritch being. The root of the word eldritch comes from the Middle English word for elf after all.

He turned around and returned to the glass veranda of his house and sat down at the table on it.

With a satisfied sigh he took a cup of tea that just cooled to perfect temperature for drinking while he was out harvesting wheat. Ah, charms of time magic.

A tea was a new blend that his beloved made. It was wonderful. It tasted of renewal, of spring and its warm rains, of awakening of nature and the restless energy of awakening animals. It returned energy and rejuvenated the body and spirit.

The fae were beings that lived and breathed magic. Magic was an everyday occurrence and everyone knew it at some level. This was shown in their food and drink. for culinary arts of the fae had more in common with potions making and alchemy then what passes for food preparation to the other beings. Indeed culinary arts are branches of potions and alchemy according to the fae, it is other beings that are weird.

The door to the veranda opened and his wife came out carrying her own cup of tea.

She sat beside him and asked, "How was your time in the mortal world?"

"Hmm, Not bad. I had a seasonal bargaining with Teren's tribe, after that I killed some outsider that sneaked in after Abyss was invaded, after that I toured dodgerland a little."

She raised an eyebrow. "I assume that you didn't have a problem with dealing with the outsider."

"No. He was as strong as I, but he didn't really know how to fight." He said and started to narrate the fight.

Rhyas took another sip of tea and sighed. "You didn't even feel the need to assume your true form. I see why you said that it doesn't know how to fight."

The souls of some powerful beings are so powerful and massive that they passively influence the world around them. They warp reality in their vicinity like black holes warp fabric of space-time.

In order to live among the weaker beings without harming them, these powerful beings are always expending power to stop their souls from warping reality around them. The bodies of these beings are influenced the most by their souls, so when they stop holding back their bodies change into the most accurate reflection of their souls. Thus gaining the name true form.

Fionn defeated the outsider while holding back.

"How did it even survive beneath the earth, Gaia should have easily found and killed it. It is a duty of primordials to keep the mortal world clean of outsiders that managed to bypass the Gates." Said irritated Rhyas.

"She and Uranus are having another fight. She will probably start making plans to kill him soon," he said.

She just hummed in conformation.

After a minute of comfortable silence she said, "You know it's about time we start to make more Fyrnenon and populate our otherworld, it can't stay empty of intelligent life forever."

Fionn nodded in agreement.

After making their otherworld they decided to have a century of vacation, they worked unceasingly for decades to make their ritual of reincarnation.

Now however it's time to build their own kingdom. They are Archfae after all, they have a duty to their new home to defend the outer gate.

They of course don't have to contribute to defense any time soon, they have no subjects and their otherworld was just a century old, in the eyes of the fae it was practically made yesterday.

That doesn't mean that they can be lazy. It's time to start working again.
