AN: Yeah, I know another new story. However, I've been a big fan since I got into the series with Awakening and Fates, and I've had this bunny in the cage for a while now. So as stated on my profile page, I am emptying the cage and completely ignoring any other ideas until I finish a few of my other stories.

Now then, this story will be very different from the norm, mainly who Team 7's Sannin teacher will end up being, as well as certain characters' fates being different.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this fic. Onwards to the Story!

In the skies over the cliffs of Valm, on the back of the Fell Dragon Grima, stood the Exalt of Ylisse and leader of the Shepherds, Chrom, and the master tactician Robin. They were about to make the ultimate decision: seal Grima away for 1000 years and leave it up to their successors to once again seal him again, or end the evil once and for all at the cost of Robin's existence.

You see, Robin and Fell Dragon Grima were essentially one and the same since she was born to be the vessel for the Evil Dragon, however, due to time travel, there were two Robins. One who had given into the power and temptation of evil, and one who fought for the future of the world. Therefore, two beings with the Fell Dragon's power provided a unique opportunity to bring everlasting peace to the world. After all, you cannot defend against yourself.

The young woman in question had silver hair styled in two side pigtails, with a purple overcoat with light purple eyes on the sleeves and golden folds at the end of the coat. The coat itself was loosely held together by a small rope that hooked onto the buttons on either side. She wore a white v-neck blouse with purple outlining that left a bit of her cleavage exposed, and white baggy pants, complete with brown knee-high leather boots and leather gloves.

"Robin, you don't have to do this," Chrom said desperately to the woman who has become his best and closest friend throughout their long journey.

"No, Chrom. This is our only chance to end the Fell Dragon forever. Sealing it away will only mean that our descendants will have to suffer through Grima's terror only to seal it again for another 1000 years, repeating history over and over again. If my existence can end that cycle and bring peace to the world, then it's a small price to pay." Robin said seriously, resolved to make the sacrifice. "Thank you for everything you've done for me, even after learning I was a possible vessel for Evil."

She pauses only to focus on drawing the Fell Dragon's Power within her to deal the final blow, summoning a large black orb of malicious, destructive orb. "This is goodbye, my friend. I trust you and the others to lead this world into peace and prosperity with everyone else."

"We will. But don't think we won't look for you, even if the chance of your survival is remote." The new Exalt nodded solemnly. "Fair well for now my friend."

With one final fair well from the rest of the allies, the Master Tactician let loose her spell, ignoring her other self trying to talk her out of her current course of action, only to end up screaming in agony before disintegrating, with the main body of the Fell Dragon itself started to drop on the cliff side. Robin herself, faded with her evil self, leaving her friends with a sad smile on their face as she sees them with tears in their eyes. Her only regret was not having a family of her own, even though she felt she didn't deserve one after learning about her being the vessel. Little did she know, she was about to get her chance.

[Kami's Palace]

Robin expected to be in a void of darkness or in a place of fire and brimstone, however, she was in a white throne room with an overwhelmingly beautiful woman with blonde wavy hair and golden eyes, wearing a white ballroom gown with gold trimming, white elbow length gloves and white heels.

Next to her was the exact opposite, a horrifying-looking man with ash-grey skin with horns on top of his head, blood-red eyes, dull silver hair, wearing a robe that was as black as a moonless night, prayer beads wrapped around his right arm and a tanto blade in his left hand.

And finally, the most normal-looking person in the room was a woman with long silky red hair, and violet eyes, wearing a simple green apron dress with a white t-shirt underneath and in Robin's opinion, odd-looking sandals.

The first two she can easily figure out the identities. The divine-looking woman was likely the Light-sided deity, and the one with dark robes was likely the Death God.

"Welcome Robin, to my palace." the Divine looking woman said calmly. "I am Kami, but also known as the Alpha and Omega, God, whatever else you may know me as. However, for convenience and the purpose of why you are here, please address me as Kami."

"And as you might have surmised, I am Death or Shinigami." The Horned robbed figure said in a deep, chilling voice. "It's rather annoying to meet another pure and righteous soul despite the circumstances of your birth."

The redhead just stood there silently waiting for the real conversation. Something the Tactician decided to start. "It's obviously an honor to meet deities like yourselves, but why I am here? I thought my existence was forfeit when I dealt the final blow to Grima."

"Your bonds with your company spared you. In fact, you have one of three choices available to you young lady." Kami replied. "One: you can stay here and rest in peace in the afterlife. Two: You can go back to your friends and help rebuild your world with a small chance of having the family you always wanted. Or Three: Go to another world, where you can train and adopt my chosen champion while helping him have a better life."

The silver-haired young woman thought for a moment before deciding to get more details. "Where exactly will I be going and who I will be raising and training?"

Taking this as her cue, the redhead stepped up. "You would be going to my home world, Elementia, to raise my son who I think you shared something in common."

"I'm sorry, but who are you? And what do you mean shared something in common?" Robin asked slightly confused.

"This is Kushina Uzumaki, and before we continue, why don't you take off your left glove?" Kami suggested.

The silver-haired young woman cautiously removed her glove, causing her to gasp at what she didn't see on the back of her hand that should have been there. The mark that identified her as the vessel of Grima was gone. Now that she was paying attention to herself, she noted that along with the absence of the Mark, Grima's power was also gone, only her overwhelming pool of Magic Power remained.

"I-it's gone... it's really gone..." She sobbed for a minute before gathering her wits. "So, what does your son hold within him and how did it get there?"

After a lengthy explanation that everyone has heard a thousand times, Robin had been told the full story. Tsunade being named Naruto's godmother, but being lied to, leading to her leaving the village with her adoptive daughter and apprentice Shizune. Naruto's life being a living hell with very few people at actually care. Vitally important information was kept from him, such as his heritage, his status as a Jinchūriki, and that his godfather was neglecting him due to blaming him for the loss of his student.

"So, you'd like me to adopt, raise, and train your son, who happens to hold a demon made of pure chakra. One of Nine out there in your world. I can see why you said we had something in common." The Tactician said thoughtfully. "I'm honestly surprised that the village leader isn't doing more to keep Naruto safe if he's essentially the village's war deterrent."

"Sadly, Jinchūriki are not treated well in hopes of breaking them into being mere weapons rather than humans." Kushina scowled. "I was lucky Lady Mito and Hiruzen's wife made it clear that I wasn't to be mistreated when I came from Uzushio to take over as being the Jailer for the fox. Personally, I think that while he is trying to be the loving Grandfather to my son, the old monkey partly blames him for his wife's death, thus allowing the mob attacks."

"I understand. Grief isn't easy to get over, no matter how old someone is." The silver-haired woman nodded. "Very well. I will agree to go help the chosen champion of this other world."

"I appreciate your cooperation," Kami said sincerely before holding out her hand and materializing a beautiful golden sword with 4 glowing gemstones, with a button switch to trigger its chainsaw blade function. "This is the Yato. Present it to my champion when he is old enough to wield it. Only he may trigger its full power."

"Before we send you to aid the child, all three of us will be giving you everything you will need to train him to be the best he can be. Knowledge of how that world's energy, Chakra, works and how to train it, Kushina's extensive knowledge in Fūinjutsu, history of her clan, and their taijutsu and sword style that works into it, not to mention the knowledge you'll need of the world itself." Shinigami stated. "As for my part in aiding my sister's champion, when and only when he has gotten the fox to work with him and use their powers in perfect harmony, will I give him the other half of the fox's power that the boy's father sealed within himself, and thus sealed within my stomach. Also, when the mortals put you before their council, I shall come down alongside Kushina to verify that we have sent you. It should be entertaining to see them squirm in my presence as well as the Red Death they fear so much."

The aforementioned kunoichi gave off a feral grin at this. For 5 years, all she's wanted is to go back and haunt the ever-loving hell out of Hiruzen and the civilians of the village for how they've treated her son as well as the steps they've been taking to remove her clan from the records. "I warned that old monkey this day would happen. I owe you for this Lord Shinigami."

"Just don't scare him too much. He's not slated to die for another decade." The Death God smirked.

"Now then, Robin, it's time to go. We will give you the knowledge as you sleep tonight, but be ready for a headache comparable, if not worse than a hangover." Kami said knowing the silver-haired woman had experience with booze and hangovers while travelling with the Shepherds.

"While I'm not looking forward to that, I'm ready." Robin nodded firmly.

[Konoha Streets]

It was late at night, the full moon at its peak in a clear sky, and you'd think that everyone would be fast asleep in their beds. However, there was one young boy who was using this logic to go about the village and steal food, clothing, and other essentials due to the village charging him three times the usual rate for everything. The only places that didn't were Yakiniku Q, which was owned by the Akimichi clan, and Ichiraku Ramen Stand, despite being civilian-owned.

This young man was Naruto Uzumaki, Jinchūriki of the Nine-tailed Fox, Son of the Red Death, and Fourth Hokage. However, instead of "borrowing" his weekly supplies, he was running from a mob formed of Civilians and Shinobi alike, all of whom lost loved ones during the demon fox's attack five years ago. They blame Naruto due to his status being leaked despite it being declared an S-rank secret.

Unfortunately, the young blonde had been corralled into a dead-end back alley and tortured with kunai, broken beer bottles, steak knives, and all other matter of sharp objects. As the mob was about go in for the killing blow at the hands of one ANBU that was supposed to be protecting him, one who had Silver Gravity-defying hair, and one glowing red eye visible behind his dog mask; a pillar of light fell upon the entrance of the alley. This appearance set off sorts of warning bells in the vengeful ANBU's mind, so he used the Body Flicker Jutsu to get out there.

Robin walked out of the light, only to see what she knew to be a common occurrence. Glaring at the mob and having seen the silver-haired masked man vanish, she spotted her charge lying on the ground in a pool of blood in very bad shape.

"Such filth, attempting to kill a young boy just because of what he holds." She growled as she prepared to launch her spell to obliterate the true demons in human flesh. "Die."

As she said that, she let loose a Thoron spell, hitting the mob while avoiding the boy on the ground, obliterating their upper bodies. And of course, as her spell dispersed, she was surrounded by a full ANBU squad and the neglectful Hokage himself.

'Typical. If what Kami told me, this is how usually happens. Arriving after the fact when this time Naruto could have been killed.' The Tactician mentally growled as she prepared for the confrontation.

"Stranger, Identify yourself," Hiruzen demanded as he looked at the carnage only to see the Jinchūriki needing immediate medical attention. "What happened here?"

"My name is Robin, and I just prevented that young blonde from being killed by some man dressed like your escorts, with silver hair." The pig-tailed woman said evenly, with her annoyance noticeable.

The old monkey summoner's eyes narrowed at her tone, ignoring the mention of one of his best ANBU. "Even so, you have killed civilians of my village, and clearly you are not from around here. ANBU arrest her."

"But sir." An ANBU with a cat mask and silky purple hair spoke up. "What if she came out of that pillar of light? Shouldn't we take her before the council and hear what she has to say?"

'So, there is someone with a brain that won't blindly follow orders.' Robin thought before deciding to give them a reason to listen to the protesting woman. "She's right, I did come from that light. And I've been sent here under divine orders to protect your Jinchūriki."

Gasps were heard from everyone present, including the Dog ANBU that was hiding on a nearby rooftop. "Very well." The Hokage said evenly. "ANBU Summon the Clan Heads, Orochimaru, and the Elders. Cat you can get Naruto to the hospital and have his personal doctor and his trusted nurses take care of him. Stay there and stand guard."

"Sir!" The ANBU said as they left to carry out their orders.

While Cat picked up Naruto, Hiruzen narrowed his eyes as he watched. He didn't appreciate that another of his top ANBU questioned his orders. She always was more loyal to her deceased sensei, and therefore was a staunch defender of her son rather than being loyal to him and the village. However, her flawless mission record kept him from being able to remove her from duty as ANBU.

Turning his attention the unknown woman who claimed to have been sent under divine orders. He was suspicious of her, but he chose to humor her so as not to anger whatever divinity sent her. "Shall we young lady?"

[Council Chambers]

30 minutes later some irate Clan Heads, clearly not happy about being woken up during the wee hours of the night. Orochimaru however looked at the young lady in the room and could instantly tell she was not from this world simply by the fact that he couldn't sense even civilian levels of chakra within her. No, she had vast amounts of power, but none of it was Chakra. In truth, he wanted nothing more than to request a blood sample and possibly ask to study her energy as a way to help his life's work of trying to improve the human condition.

"Hiruzen, why have you called at this hour, and who is this stranger?" Danzo asked calmly, though clear signs of drowsiness on his aged face, the same shown on everyone else that was called.

"This young lady saved Naruto from another mob attack, and claims to be sent here by divine order." The Professor said evenly knowing that it was going to cause a commotion.

"For what purpose was she sent?" The Snake Sannin asked earning disbelieving looks from the rest of the council. "Yes, I believe her. Surely you can sense that she's powerful and none of it is Chakra. Therefore she is not from this planet."

"Hmm very astute," Robin said, clearly impressed by pale-skinned Sannin. "As for my purpose, I am here to train, protect, and raise Naruto Uzumaki, the Jinchūriki of the Nine-tailed Demon Fox by order of Kami and the Shinigami."

"You expect us to believe that Kami and the God of Death have ordered you to train young Uzumaki? Why is he so important that they'd send anyone?" Koharu Utatane scowled. "He's nothing but a weapon for us to command against our enemies."

Robin smirked as the cold chill of death filled the room as the Shinigami himself walked out of the shadows of the room, with Kushina beside him, her hair flailing around as if they were nine-tails.

"Is that how you see my son? Is this how you repay my sacrifice and that of my husband, Minato?" The Red Death asked in an eerily quiet voice. "We wanted our son to be seen as a hero, not to be used as an outlet for your grief!"

"Calm yourself for now Kushina. You will have your chance to tear into them in a moment." Shinigami grinned. "For now, it seems we need to address the lack of belief and respect."

"What sorcery is this!" The elder woman shouted in fright before during into a rage in which she directed her rage to the woman who claimed the outrageous. "You! You dare summon these apparitions to try to validate your claims! I demand you dispel these illusions, this instance!

The fact that you summoned an illusion of that Uzumaki bitch should have died with the rest of her freakish clan is bad enough, but that poor attempt at recreating the Shinigami is laughable. Hiruzen, ship this charlatan off to Hozuki Castle and be done with this farce of a meeting so we can go back to bed."

While many of the clan heads and her fellow elders may have doubted the young lady's claim of being sent by divinity, having Kushina walk out in her all-too-familiar fury was more than enough to wake them up completely. However, how the old bat didn't feel the cold grip of death in the room was beyond them. Everyone else knew that the being in front of them was in the Shinigami and they knew not to piss him off. Unfortunately, she had just insulted the Death God, and he was not about to let that slide.

"Koharu Utatane. I have had a special interest in you." The Reaper said gravely. "Kami and I watched your hand in making my sister's chosen Champion's life a living hell. It was you who leaked the Champion's status as a Jinchūriki, it was you who sent ANBU to lie to Tsunade, the boy's godmother, saying that he died alongside his mother.

You knew full well that her ties to the Uzumaki Clan through her grandmother were the only thing keeping her in the village. Her Grandmother was the wife of Hashirama, your First Hokage, and the one who practically wrote the seal that is used for your village protection.

It's a shame you had to insult not only me but a clan that earned my respect for their gallant fight against the overwhelming invading force. For that, you forfeit the last 20 years of your life."

Before she could protest, the Shinigami had one hand around her throat, causing her skin to grey and start to decay. In a matter of seconds, Hiruzen's former teammate was nothing but a pile of ash, not even the stench of death and decay was left in the room, shocking the shinobi in the room.

"Now then, I trust that there won't be any more doubt that I am truly here and not an illusion." Death said firmly getting shaky nods in return. "Good. Now then..." He said turning his attention to the rest of the room. "Robin was indeed sent here by myself and my sister, Kami, to protect, train, and raise her champion, the Jinchūriki of the Fox."

"Wait, you mean that Naruto is the Child of Prophecy that my toad teammate has been obsessed with finding?" Orochimaru said in shock before shaking his head. "And I thought that ancient toad was senile."

"That toad will be in my realm soon enough. Summons are not supposed to share prophecies." Shinigami snarled. "Jiraiya may be the boy's Godfather, but he will have no involvement in the Champion's upbringing and, therefore have no bragging rights of training the savior of the world."

'If the Shinigami is actually here...' Hiruzen went pale. "Kushina... it really is you."

"That's right you rotten bastard." Kushina snarled.

"What happened that night? What went wrong? How did my wife die?" The Hokage asked hysterically.

"Why should I tell you anything?" She growled. "You disregarded our wishes, and in your own grief, have been allowing these attacks to happen. My son is currently in the hospital thanks to you and this village."

"Kushina, give the man some closure before our time is up." Death said sternly.

"Fine." The Uzumaki growled. "Biwako died after a Uchiha claiming to be Madara, wearing an orange spiral mask with only one eye showing, somehow got into the barrier we set up. Likely with some Sharingan Space-Time ability. He had my son hostage by having exploding tags placed on his blanket, but not before killing everyone else but me, Minato, and Naruto.

Minato had to choose between getting me to safety at the cost of losing our son or getting Naruto out of the booby-trapped blanket and into our safe house. He chose to save our son, leaving me with the Madara Imposter, which is exactly what he wanted. The rogue Uchiha strung me up and used his Sharingan to rip the fox out of me before my husband could get back.

Thinking back... the Uchiha who caused that attack had a chakra signature that I recognize. One that should have died in the last war. But I have no idea how they survived.

Regardless, Minato fought my attacker before he came back to seal the fox within Naruto. I helped hold it down while my husband prepared the seal. Even after the fox ran the two of us through with his claw trying to kill Naruto and prevent the sealing, we succeeded with Lord Shinigami's help. I lived long enough to give that old monkey a warning to make sure my son was to be treated as a hero, not a damned pariah!"

She took a moment to calm herself. "However, I thank the InoShikaCho clans for helping when you could and encouraging your kids to be friends with Naruto."

"Do you remember which eye was showing?" Danzo asked seriously. He inherited Tobirama's hatred for the Uchiha clan, but hearing that it might be a rogue and possibly long-thought-dead member of the clan, he'd have to pull his watch away from the current clan members.

"It was his right eye." The former Jinchūriki stated firmly. "And don't go accusing the entire Uchiha clan. Mikoto Uchiha was a good friend of mine. Though I am upset she hasn't been helping my son."

"Tch, like I'd let her help someone outside of our clan. The Uchiha look out for their own and no one else." Fugaku Uchiha scoffed. "The fact she befriended someone outside the clan is an insult in and of itself."

'Oh, I can tell I'm not going to like him.' Robin thought with a scowl.

'Pricks not even going to thank me for taking the heat off his clan, then he's set on trying to take over the village.' Kushina thought subtly casting a glance towards the Shinigami getting a subtle nod in return. 'Seems Lord Shinigami will be doing something about it later.'

"Now, with the old hag dead, it would be prudent that you send someone to retrieve Tsunade to assist me in raising one of the last connections she has to the Uzumaki side of her family." The Tactician stated firmly.

"I will volunteer to find her." The Snake Sannin stepped forward. "After all, I am the least likely to be attacked by her being the one of the few that supported her idea of having one medic per team."

The council nodded before Shinigami spoke up once more. "Also, Kami has demanded that the Uzumaki Clan history be reinstated in the Academy and in the library. Removing this is a grave offence to her Champion and if not remedied, he could, as the heir of the clan, cripple your village's identity and security."

Hiruzen growled at this threat, knowing he had no authority over the pig-tailed woman and that she'd tell him everything, who his parents were, all of his clan's history, and the damage he could do. He knew the next thing that was going to be demanded was to give Naruto his inheritance. Hell, even if it wasn't demanded of him by the Death God, then when Tsunade got back, she'd be demanding it or threaten to destroy the Hokage Tower until she found it herself. So he decides to bite the bullet and at least appear cooperative.

"Very well. It will be done, and as a show of good faith, I will have Naruto's inheritance ready for you in a few days." The old monkey said evenly, hiding his frustration.

"Be sure that you do. We'll be watching. I'd hate to waste time to come to claim your soul before your time is up." The Death God grinned. "That goes for the rest of the village. Know that Kami and I will be watching over Naruto and his family, and there will be punishments for whoever tries to harm them in any way."

With that threat hanging over their heads, the elders knew their hands were tied. They could only hope that the village cooperated.

"Very well. Is there anything else? I'm sure everyone here is eager to get back to bed with long, busy days waiting for them in the morning." The Hokage asked tensely, however, when he was met with silence, he took that as his cue to end the meeting. "Very well. Everyone go home and get some rest. Orochimaru, you are to leave at first light."

'Old fool, I am leaving tonight. I cannot wait for the damage that Tsunade will inflict upon you and this village for how you've treated her godson.' Orochimaru thought with a smirk.

As everyone filled out, Robin stayed behind with the Shinigami and her charge's deceased Mother. "So, I take it you want to talk about that Uchiha." She said quietly.

"Yes." The Death God nodded watching Fugaku leave. "Watch him. Even if we've taken the heat and suspicion off his clan, the prejudice they have endured over the years has taken its toll. Some of his clan may be planning a coupe and therefore civil war. If they start making any moves whatsoever, end him and his supporters, leave the innocent alive."

"If you can, leave his wife alive. She was a good friend to me." Kushina pleaded.

"I'll do what I can." The silver-haired woman nodded. "Now, I should get to the hospital and join that Cat ANBU in guarding Naruto."

"Before you do, I will be talking to Kami about sending you an assistant, possibly a maid to help take care of Naruto and his needs." The Death said with a smirk. "They should be here by the time Orochimaru completes his assignment."

All she could was sigh, however, she wasn't going to say no to more help. She knew taking care of a kid with a being made of chakra sealed inside him, on top of his clan's chakra levels was going to be a pain to raise, even with someone like Tsunade and her apprentice. However, she thought of something.

"What about that silver-haired ANBU that had lightning in his hand and was ready to kill Naruto? Hiruzen ignored my mention of him when I first arrived." The Tactician asked.

"Mention it to Tsunade and Orochimaru when they get back, they'll be able to pressure their sensei into doing something. Hiruzen actually fears Tsunade." Kushina said with a smirk getting a nod in return.

"It's time to go. We may not be in touch, but know we'll be watching." Shinigami said before turning to leave.

"Please, tell my boy that I love him very much, and if I could, I would be here to take care of him." The Red-head said with tears in her eyes, desperately trying to keep herself from crying.

"I will take care of him and make sure he knows you love him," Robin said sincerely as she watched the mother start to fade with Shinigami. Once they were gone she made her way to the hospital.

[Hospital, next morning]

As the sun's rays hit Naruto's face through the thin, white curtains, he mentally curses the sun for rising so early, knowing the village hasn't even started opening businesses yet. Opening his eyes, he immediately noticed that he was in the hospital again after the villagers attacked him. However, he noticed he wasn't alone. He knew that his usual guard was likely hidden and watching over him, but there was a young woman with silver hair styled in pigtails dressed in clothes he'd never seen before.

"I see you're awake. That healing factor of yours is impressive. Most people would be out of commission for weeks." The strange woman said looking up from a book she appeared to be reading.

"Who are you?" The blonde boy asked slightly defensively. "Kitty never lets anyone in here, and yet here you are just sitting there reading a book."

"My apologies. I suppose it's only natural for you to be defensive given the life you've lived so far." She replied putting her book to the side. "My name is Robin, and I will taking care of you from now on, from raising you to training. I will even, when we are in a secure location, tell you about who your parents are and the reason these idiot villagers hate you so much."

"Yeah...somehow I doubt Gramps would approve of this. He told me I wasn't ready to know any of that, other than that my parents died the night I was born." The five-year-old said dully. "Not to mention he's stopped any family from adopting me, so forgive me if I don't believe that you got approval to take me in."

"The Hokage has no sway over me," Robin said sternly. "I am here at the behest of Kami and your mother."

Before Naruto could voice his disbelief, Hiruzen walked in looking like he didn't get much sleep. "She's right, Naruto. She appeared out of a column of light and stopped the mob from finishing their objective last night, and during a meeting with the clan heads and elders, the Shinigami and your mother showed up to back her claims."

"If that's not enough to convince you, perhaps this will." The former Shepherd said as she summoned a weapon case before opening it up. Inside was a beautiful golden blade with 4 set jewels along the bottom of the blade, the handle too was golden with a pommel being fashioned into a trident-like matter with a button near the hilt. "This is the Divine Yato, given to you by Kami when you are old enough to yield it. She said only you could bring out its full power."

"This craftsmanship is beyond any I've seen, and even with its golden color, I can tell this is a deadly weapon, with a hidden function, likely something only you can bring out Naruto." ANBU Cat said appearing to investigate the blade.

"Wow. It's beautiful." The blonde said in awe. "I definitely feel drawn to it, like it's telling me to take hold."

"You'll be able to when you're older. For now, it is too dangerous." Robin said as she put the case covering back on before turning to the Hokage. "Does Naruto's inheritance include a house?"

"It does. However, it is not the same home they lived in, but it is a secondary home they purchased should something happen. The home they lived in, was, unfortunately, lost the night of the Kyuubi Attack. Your new home is actually close to the InoShikaCho compounds, Yakiniku Q, and the Cemetery." Hiruzen responded grimly. "As promised I will have it all ready by tomorrow. You should be cleared to leave by then, Naruto."

"But I'm just fine now..." The Jinchūriki whined before sighing. "Though I suppose it is better than my rundown apartment, that is, if it still stands that is."

"Do you have anything you want from there?" The former Shepherd asked softly.

"Other than my wallet and nightcap, no." The youngest in the room responded. "I could even do without the wallet since it's empty and I don't even know where I got it from, just showed up on my doorstep one night."

"Very well, I'll grab your nightcap. You rest here, as much you don't want to." Robin said before turning to the Cat-masked ANBU and the Old Monkey. "I want her to stay here. She's the only one that's proven to care enough to keep him safe."

"That is her current assignment, yes." The Professor nodded. "Now, I must get back and finalize everything. However, I'd like to talk to you before you begin your divine task."

All the silver-haired woman did was nod and left to collect her charges belongings. However, when she got there, she was appalled at what she saw. Offensive graffiti on the door and surrounding walls, the door had signs of attempts of breaking the door down with weapons, and its hinges looked barely hanging on. Inside was worse, the paint was degrading and peeling off the walls, and slashes and fist-sized holes scattered about.

She wasn't surprised to see trash laying around everywhere when she reached the living room, as the kid likely didn't see the point in keeping the floors clean when the rest of the apartment was falling to shit. Nor was she surprised by the lack of photos, given the massive evidence of constant break-ins, something she'd be sure to fix once they were in Naruto's new home.

Upon finding the bedroom, she was surprised to see it mostly unblemished. The only sign of break-ins was tapped up window with the door to the balcony securely locked. The main door to the room was booby-trapped with smoke bombs filled with itching powder, and laced with powdered hot peppers for extreme pain without it being lethal. Thankfully she had experience with pranksters and traps, so disarming them was no challenge with her magic.

It didn't take her long to find the nightcap and his pj's, but she also did find the wallet he said he didn't care for and immediately knew who it was from. The only person who would send anything toad-shaped was the neglectful godfather and self-proclaimed "super pervert." No, between Tsunade, Orochimaru, and herself, Jiraiya wasn't getting anywhere near Naruto.

'That's everything...' The Tactician thought as she looked around the room once more. 'I should go see what the Hokage wants. Likely has something to do with releasing the information of Kushina and Minato being Naruto's parents to the public.'

[Hokage Office]

"Thank you for coming. I am just about finished with the paperwork to get everything for Naruto to get everything." Hiruzen said setting aside a bit of paperwork. "I wanted to talk to you about releasing his heritage to the public."

"I thought as much," Robin said dully. "Let me guess, you don't want to do that just yet. That it may cause rioting and chaos to erupt from disbelief."

"I believe it would be premature to reveal that to the public just yet, yes." The Hokage tensed. "However, it is for Naruto's safety. Once the villagers learn he is the Fourth Hokage's son, Iwa will continuously send assassins to try and end Minato's bloodline. Once they learn he is Kushina's son, Kumo will continuously send kidnappers to try to abduct him. Both of them already have two Jinchūriki, having a third would tip the balance of power and the fragile ceasefire we have in place."

"Right, because having the likes of Orochimaru, Tsunade, and InoShikaCho, protecting the boy wouldn't discourage them." Naruto's Guardian scoffed. "And at the expense of sounding arrogant, once this world learns of my power, that threat will turn non-existent. No, I think the real reason is that you don't want the attacks on Naruto to stop, that you don't believe that Kami and the Shinigami are actually watching and will do anything about it."

"Now listen here, young woman." The old monkey growled. "I don't care to be insulted or accused of allowing attempted murder in my village. I happen to fully believe that the gods will be watching, and have been watching. Why else would they send you to make sure Naruto can protect himself and have a loving family."

"Speaking of... why did you block him from having such a family," Robin asked before scoffing. "Let me guess, 'to preserve the balance of power within the clans.'"

Hiruzen said nothing but growled, earning a "yeah huh" in return. 'Damn this wench. She's putting a wrench into the plan. We weren't going to break him, we were going to make him stupid and pliable so Jiraiya could train him just enough to survive and fulfill the prophecy so both of us could coast off the fame of training and caring for the savior of the world.'

"Just so you are aware, don't count on your perverted student getting anywhere near Naruto." The former vessel said seriously. "He may be the boy's godfather, and people may think he played a pivotal role in shaping Minato into the Yellow Flash, but we both know he has a very hands-off approach with everything but women."

"You'd deny the man his right to help train his godson?" The old man growled, forgetting that the Shinigami, himself, forbade it

"He forfeited that right when he didn't do more than leave a wallet on Naruto's doorstep, not even bothering to meet him, much less care for him while he was in the village giving you reports. No, he'd rather peep on women in the hot springs and other private moments to write that smut you and Minato's last remaining student read." She shot back with a glare. "And be warned, if he so much as looks at me with those lecherous eyes, I'll remove what makes him a man to the point that not even Tsunade can reattach it."

After a glaring match, the old monkey reluctantly backed down. "I will have your charges things ready for him by tomorrow as promised."

"Good." The pig-tailed woman nodded before turning to leave. "If you need me, I'll be with Naruto and the Cat ANBU."

AN: That's it for this opening chapter! I do apologize though. I know I said Scorched Kunai would be next to be updated but this has been sitting my folders in-complete for quite some time. I thought it best to go over my notes, reread what I had, and finally finish this.

I am aware that I am having Robin come off as a bitch and extremely confrontational with Hiruzen, but child abuse, neglect, and attempted murder are things that just don't go over well for a former protector of another world.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter and will see you in the next update, whether that be one of the two remaining new stories remaining in the cage, or one of the preexisting stories. Take care and stay safe out there.
