Chapter 50: Just Dance

"Sure! We can talk." I tell her as I get up from the bed I was sitting on and stand in front of her. With a happy expression, she motions me to follow her. I on the other hand was about to follow her as well but I stopped.

"You're not mad at me, Right?" I had to ask her just in case, to prepare for the worst. She stops and looks at me with a questionable look.

"No?" I nod at that, but I ask again.

"Are you sure? You're not lying to me?"

"Seth." She narrows her eyes at me, and I laugh at this.

"Just kidding, alright let's go." I tell her as I stand next to her. With a happy smile, she left the room first and I was about to follow her, but I quickly turned to Ren.

"Ren." He quickly cuts me off.

"I will burn your scroll if you scream."

"Actually I was going to say to put on some pants but thank you for remembering. See you guys." I closed the door behind me, and soon Pyrrha and I both began to walk away from the room.

Back inside the room Nora and Ren both looked at the door, where their two teammates just left.

"You think she going to ask him?" Nora asked Ren but he just nodded.

"Hope so... If only he can see just what's in front of him." Ren said to her as he went to grab his clothes and enter the bathroom.

"Yeah, if only." Nora said with not an amused face towards Ren. 'Also the fans are getting impatient.' (Nora!) "Ehe!" Nora put her headphones back on and listened to more songs that Seth had.

"The sound, the vibe, I feel so alive!"

"Seth, what are you doing?" I turned to Pyrrha who was looking at me confused by my antics.

"What? Just singing a little tune. I mean when was the last time we just had a normal walk?"

"That was a little over a month ago."

"Ah, details details." I waved at her. She in return bumps her arm against mine as we continue to walk. Honestly, if you really think about it we bearly hung around that much anymore. I mean sure we did go for a walk last time we were in Vale but that was also the day we went with Penny into that club and had to deal with those guys again, but I don't count that.

Back then, we used to always go for walks in Argus after school and on weekends when we didn't have much to do. I guess being here made us busy. It was a nice change of pace in my books.

"So, you said you wanted to talk. What's up?" I asked her and she began to slow down on her walking, which I had to follow.

"Oh, I was just wondering how was your day today. I heard you were busy with the dance, right?" Her tone sounded off for some reason, but I didn't question it.

"It was alright. Everything is ready to go, so we will just have to see what people think tomorrow. Honestly, it was mostly Ruby, Weiss, and Yang who did the decorations. But I think they did a good job on it. I just handle the equipment." I informed her of the role that took place and saw her smile a bit.

"Well, I'm sure tomorrow everyone will have a wonderful time... By the way..." She goes quiet so I turn to her.

"Hm?"

"Have you... Thought about..." She was going to continue but from behind us, we heard someone call out to us... Well mostly me.

"Sapphire!" Oh, for fuck sakes.

Turning to the source of the voice I saw Arslan walking towards us and behind her was her team. I could see Bolin, Reese, and Nadir running after her and for some reason, Bolin and Reese's eyes widened.

"Hey Arslan. What's up." I said with a tired tone, knowing all too well where this conversation might go.

"I need a sparring partner and what a surprise that you-. Hey! What are you two doing!?" Arslan was soon cut off by Bolin and Reese grabbing her by both arms and dragging her in the opposite direction.

"We can help you Arslan!" "Yeah, all you needed to do was ask. Nadir help us out here." "Why?" Just do IT!" As the members of Team ABRN began to drag their leader away from us. I saw that both Bolin and Reese turned back to us and gave us a thumbs-up. Confused by this I turn to Pyrrha who just waved back at them.

"What the hell was that all about?" I asked her but she just turned away from the group who was now in the distance.

"No clue... Anyway, back to what I was saying." Before she could continue, she was once again interrupted by a new voice.

"Yo guys! What's up!" We both turned once again and saw Sun and his team heading our way. From the looks of it, Sun was happy for some reason and behind them I could see the rest of his team all looking in our direction with wide eyes.

"We were about to head to Vale! Want to- What? Hey! What's the big deal!" Suddenly Sun gets picked up by Sage who puts him on his shoulder and begins to walk in the opposite direction.

"Sorry about that. We just decided to make this a team event." "Huh? but why?" "Read the room, Sun. See you two later. Neptune let's go." "Ugh... Sure." With that, the other group of four began to walk away from us. Leaving the two of us alone once more.

"Okay... This is becoming a running gag or something here." I said out loud for Pyrrha to hear and she agreed with me.

"Yeah, maybe we should head somewhere quiet?"

"Hm," I began to think of a quiet place where we could talk. Coming up with something we were once again interrupted by many new voices.

"Hey look! It's Pyrrha Nikos!"

"Nope!" Pyrrha said as she reached inside my jacket. I became red-faced by her sudden action that I just didn't know what to do. She soon pulled out one of my flash grenades and pulled the ping off. Throwing it up into the air it explodes and blinds the people getting close to us.

"My eyes!" "UGH, what was that!?" "Marco!" "Polo!" "Who did that!" "That's Seth's thing!" " I Know!"

Turning to face the crowd of students I see them all covering their eyes from the sudden blinding light. Turning to Pyrrha I don't get a say in anything cause the next thing she does is grab my hand and begin to drag me away from them.

"Let's find a place so we can 'talk'." We began to head towards the school, but I stopped her and motioned her to follow me.

"I know a place that is quiet, we can talk there." Now it was my turn to drag her to the place that I knew. Honestly whatever she wants to tell me must be important, cause I never would have thought that she would do that to others.

As we got close to the place. She looked at me confused about why I brought her to this place.

"Why the ballroom?"

"Well, I'm one hundred percent that no one will come here, since tomorrow is the dance. And this was the only place I could think of where it could be quiet. If you want to go somewhere else, we can."

"No. This is perfect." She said as she walked inside and saw the place of the dance. "Wow! You four really did an amazing job with the decorations." She looked around the ballroom and saw all of the hard work that we did here.

"Like I said you can thank the others for that." I tell her as I walk towards the stage and take a seat. Removing my sunglasses, I motion to Pyrrha to take a seat and she gladly does.

We sat in silence as she kept looking around the room. She must really like what we did with the place cause she was really looking around.

"So... How was your morning?" I asked trying to move past the silence.

"It was interesting, Ren made us practice one more time before tomorrow. And I believe I got the steps now."

"You were never good as a dancer back then. I always found it funny how you can kick people's assess and yet can't follow some simple steps." She hits my arm and I wince from it.

"There was a reason why they call you the 'Dancer of Sanctum'."

"And you the 'Invincible girl'." We both looked at each other with upset looks on our faces, but that quickly went away and we both began to laugh.

After a good laugh, we both once again sit in silence. Not wanting to have another moment like this I tell her. "So what was it that you wanted to talk about?"

She turns and looks back at me. "I was..." She looked like she wanted to say something but each time she did she stopped herself from continuing.

"What's wrong?" I asked but she looked down at her hands. I notice this and scoot over to her and lean my head on her shoulder. I feel her jolt from this and she looks towards me.

"Is it something bad?" I asked her and I felt her shake her head.

"No."

"Then you have nothing to worry about. Usually, I'm the one who does something bad. So you had me worried there for a second. Honestly, you could have done the worst thing on Remnant, and I will still have your back. So, whatever it is you can-"

"Are you planning on going to the dance with someone?"

"Did Sun set you up?"

"What?" She questioned and I got my answer. That was a no.

"Nothing." I sit back normally and see her looking at me. I began to rub the back of my head at this. "Umm. I wasn't planning on going with someone. You know with me being DJ. I might not have enough time for the other person. So I didn't want the other person to have a bad time..."

"Oh..." Her tone sounded off and when I went to look at her, she was facing the opposite way from me.

"What about you? Did someone ask you?" I don't hear from her. Honestly, she just kept quiet. But I'm sure someone already asked her. I mean this is Pyrrha I'm talking about.

"Nobody asked me."

"Yeah, I mean I get it. I have been blessed with incredible talents and opportunities. I'm constantly surrounded by love and praise, but when you're placed on a pedestal like that for so long. You become separated by the people that put you there in the first place. Everyone assumes I'm too good for them, that I'm on a level they simply can't attain. It's become impossible to form any sort of meaningful relationship with people that-" I cut her off.

"Bullshit."

"What?" She looked at me confused.

"Bullshit. Pyrrha, you have relationships with people. You always had."

"I don't."

"Marrow, Bolin, Reese, Arslan, Penny. Hell, even our friends now. You have friends now that are special to you."

"But those first few are your friends Seth, I was just-."

"You were there too. You were there when people started to talk bad about Marrow when I was expelled, you had his back. You were there with Bolin in those competitions that I was not able to attend. You met Reese and Arslan first before I did. They are your friends too Pyrrha. So don't think you have no special connection with anyone here, cause you do." I assure her but just to be sure.

"Hell, you even got me... The boy that everyone stayed away from. The one with no friends. You made a bond that day with someone. And that person has been by your side as well. Even though I question her sanity at first." She threw a punch my way again. Rubbing it I continue. "The point is, it doesn't matter what people might think you are... What matters are the people 'you' created bonds with. If someone doesn't want to talk to you, well it's their loss. They don't know the real person behind everything. The real Pyrrha that I know." With those final words, I place my hand on top of hers and see that her face has turned red. Shit I might have over did it. She must feel embarrassed by my actions.

I was about to pull back my hand but she instead flipped her hand. So both of our hands were now interlocked.

I felt my face feel warm by this and I looked away from her, trying to calm myself. I then felt her lean her head on my shoulder and I was now fully panicking!

"You know... I guess, you're the kind of guy. I wish asked me to the dance." I heard her and I didn't know what to do in this situation. Many thoughts came into my head but none of them prepared me for this.

"I... I..." Pyrrha raised her head and looked at me. I turned to her and saw that she had my full attention. She was looking at me straight into my eyes, almost wishing I said something...

'Shit! Shit! Shit! Dude, what do I do? I don't know I wasn't prepared for any of this! So you just said everything out of instinct! No, I said what I felt was right to say! OH God, we listen to our heart and now we are in this situation that we have never been part of!'

"Seth?"

'So what should I do? Why are you asking me? Your ME!'

"Seth?!" Focusing on her and ignoring my inner thoughts, I looked up at the ceiling of the ballroom trying to think of something fast... I got nothing.

"Well... If... If, you want to... Maybe." I began to stutter my words.

"Yes?"

"Maybe... we-." Before I can continue the doors of the ballroom open, and we both turn to the person that walked in.

I began to hold my head in pain at the sight of the man who walked in.

"Oh, my apologies I wasn't expecting to see people here." The man in question was a tall and muscular middle-aged man who was wearing a white overcoat. He walked in our direction and looked at the two of us who were just sitting on the stage. "I'm sorry but this place is off-limits to the students. You can come back tomorrow for the dance."

"Oh, we are sorry sir. We didn't mean to."

"It's quite alright. No harm done." He turned to me, and I just kept my hand on my head. "Is everything alright?"

I just shake my head at him and nod. "Yeah, sorry just headaches. Get those a lot. But don't worry I'm the one who is playing tomorrow I just wanted to see how the equipment is. We were about to leave." I grabbed a hold of Pyrrha's hand, and we began to walk out of the room.

"Hold it." The man's voice called to us, and we turned back to him.

"Yeah?"

"I'm sorry to ask, but have I seen you before?"

Dude, I don't even know who the fuck you are? "Um, No. I don't think so. Why?"

"I feel like I've seen you somewhere before."

"Well this is the first time seeing you, so can I have a name."

"Oh, right where are my manners. My name is James Ironwood. I am the General of Atlas and the headmaster as well. It is nice to meet you two."

I squeezed Pyrrha's hand, and I felt her do the same thing. "Nice to meet you, sir. Name's Seth." "And my name is Pyrrha Nikos."

"It's a pleasure to meet you two, Now then run along." With that, we both leave the ballroom leaving the man alone.

'That boy... Why does he look familiar?' The general thought to himself as he continued to look in the direction of the two.

Backout side as the two began to walk away from the building, Seth let go of Pyrrha's hand and just cursed out loud.

"That fucker."

"Seth. That's not nice. We just met the guy."

"Well, he is. He's the one wanting us not to be friends with Penny. The fact that I didn't curse him out right there is a miracle in itself." I said crossing my arms, angry at the person I just met.

"Well, I'm sure he didn't mean too." I looked at her not happy with her response. "Well, it was only a thought. But why did he seem to keep looking at you like that? Have you two met before?"

"Nope, never seen that man in my life before. But I get the feeling he might know who I am. It's the only reason why I didn't tell him my last name. God forbid if Pietro mentions me to him."

"Well, whatever the case is, I'm sure it's nothing bad."

"Yeah, I hope so." Whatever the man problem is with me, I will just have to deal with it in the future. Man, I sure hope this doesn't bite me in the ass later. General or not. He is still just a bitch who is forcing Penny not to be friends with us.

"By the way Seth." I heard Pyrrha call me and I turned to see her looking at me. "What were you about to say back there?"

Once more my face felt warm and I began to stutter again... What the fuck is wrong with me! I was pissed not one second ago!

"I... Well... Pyrrha, would you."

"Yo! Shades!" I heard my nickname get called out in the distance and I turned to see Yang walking out of the school building and waving at us. I waved back but I then heard her say something else.

And to be fair I was not ready at all.

"Want to go to the dance tomorrow!?"

From behind I could hear someone growl. And something was telling me... The world just likes to make me suffer.

The first thing I did the next morning was get dressed, grab my scroll, and leave my room. I decided to head out for the morning and set my head straight for the day ahead. And what better way to do that than to go for a walk, to clear my mind... And to get some advice.

Sitting down at a bench I pulled out my scroll and began to look for my mom's number, hopefully, she could help with this dilemma that I was in.

Waiting for her to pick up, it only took one ring before she did. But I was not expecting what was on the other line.

"I'm telling you for the last time You dumb fuck! Don't lift more than you normally do! Unless you want both of your arms Off!" I could hear Mom screaming at someone but I just waited for her to finish... I might have made a mistake here.

"Sweet heart!" Her tone changed when she called to me. "What a surprise you called me today. How are you?"

"Hey, Mom. Everything is good... Did I call you at a bad time?"

"What? No... You can never call at a bad time... One second please." I then heard Mom put her scroll down and began to scream again. "GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY SHOP! What the hell are y'all still doing here?! What do you think this is? A place of business?!"

"But!"

"I said OUT!" Well, she sure as hell doing well for herself. I still wonder why Pietro needed her for, but I guess this can answer some questions.

"Okay, I'm back. So, what can I do for you Sweet heart?"

I took a deep breath and began. "Mom... I need advice."

I didn't hear from her so I called on her again. "Mom?"

Wait what? "What? How did you?"

"Sweet heart... When have you ever called for advice? You always did say you can 'do it all on your own'. So now you are calling me out of the blue and you say you need advice. So either you are in dire need of something or... You need help with someone." The last part that she said I could almost hear the excitement in her voice. And that kind of scared me.

"I mean I could use advice on other things you know."

"That's true but... I am your mother, and I know when my own son sounds off, by something he has never experienced before."

Moms are truly scary people.

"Sigh... Yeah, I do need advice on this." I began to explain to her the events that happened yesterday and what my dilemma was at the moment.

FLASHBACK

"Want to go to the dance tomorrow!?" From across the courtyard, we heard Yang call on me and from behind I heard someone growl at me.

Honestly, at this point, I'm just waiting for someone to land on top of me and we can really start this series of unfortunate events.

"Ugh... Hm, Ugh. What?" I said with Yang now getting close to us. Suddenly she goes and puts her arm around my neck and brought me down to her level.

"You heard me. You, me, dance tomorrow night. What do you think?" She suddenly squeezes me tightly almost like she wants an answer now.

"I... Well... Aren't we supposed to be working on the dance tomorrow night? So, I don't think that would be wise to-.

"Oh? Is that a No?"

"I..." I looked towards Pyrrha for help here. But her face looked upset for some reason, and I was really having a hard time understanding what was happening right now... Either that or Yang is really squeezing hard right now?

"Actually Yang, Seth here was going to ask me something. So, if you don't mind letting go of him, he can ask away." Pyrrha's tone really sounded off. But I guess I could be blacking out here with the lack of air.

"Oh really? So what is shades going to ask?" Finally, Yang let go of me and I got air to hit my lungs. Standing upright I looked at both Yang and Pyrrha waiting for me to speak.

'Dude what do I do! Just say something! Like what?! Anything!'

"I... Was going... To ask..."

'Can't I just Run? No! They know where we live! Oh right... Maybe if I stay perfectly still they won't notice me...'

I didn't know what to do now. So I listen to my own dumbass advice. The girls just continued to look at me and soon both came up close to me.

'It's not working! They know, they know that I'm afraid! They can sense fear! What's the other plan!? Run! But. RUN!' I turned away from them, but suddenly both of my arms were grabbed. With no other option, I said the first thing that came to mind.

"Quack!" Both looked at me confused by my stupid antics. so, I shook my head to get rid of the stupidity.

"I'm sorry, I don't know what to do!"

"An answer." "A question." "I want to know your answer." "I want to hear your question." "Seth? / Shades?"

Not knowing what to do, not knowing what to say, I was getting more and more confused with this situation at hand, and it was making me go crazy! These feelings are confusing me and I just don't know what I can do to make it stop! With my options limited and my head going into overtime. I began to think of this as a fight... And thinking about it, I came up with a solution...

"How about we all go together?" I said not knowing if this was the best alternative to my dilemma but seeing their reactions... I might have messed this up.

Pyrrha's eyes widened, and her mouth was open, almost with shock. Yang's eyes were wide, but her mouth was closed.

You know maybe thinking this way was the worst thing I could do. But I didn't know what else to think. I have never been in this type of situation before and not gonna lie... It kind of scares me.

Yang was the first to speak and her answer even confused me even more. "I'm game."

We both looked at her and both said the same thing. "What?"

"Sure, why not? I mean you are right Shades we will be working at the dance, so we won't have enough time to hang around. So why not we all go together as a group, and we can all have a fun time." Pyrrha and I both continue to look at Yang with even more confused looks on our faces. But then Yang turned to Pyrrha and smirked at her. Getting closer to her she swung her arm over her shoulder and brought her close. She then whispered something into Pyrrha's ear making her eyes widen and looked down at the ground.

"Well, my mind is made up. I'm sure yours is as well shades." Yang looked at me and looked back at Pyrrha. "What do you say Pyr, want to also be my date tomorrow?"

Pyrrha didn't answer right away, but she did look back towards me and I just didn't know what to do. Maybe this was my mistake and I was about to speak up but Pyrrha beat me to it.

"Sure... I would love to." Pyrrha answered to Yang and she motions me to agree to this mess that I made.

"That settles it! We will all go together."

"After that, Yang left and Pyrrha didn't speak to me as we made it back to our room. So I feel like I messed up but I just didn't know what to do Mom. This is so confusing that I just need someone to clear my mind up... So that's why I called you." After finishing my story I didn't hear from Mom, maybe she was thinking of what I could do but she was quiet for the whole time I told my story. So I called on her again. "Mom? You there?"

"I'm still here sweet heart... just thinking as well..." For some reason, I could hear something on her side, it almost sounded like she was flipping pages. "If I'm being honest here... Even I don't know what to do here."

"Mom, what's that sound?"

"Nothing!" It sounded like she threw something because I heard something crash in the background. "Look Seth, I'm going to be honest here. I'm not exactly the most... Well, inform on this subject myself."

I have so many questions, but I'm going to let her continue.

"So... That means?"

"Sigh... Look Sweet heart. In my years, I wasn't really into this sort of stuff. You know that feeling that you are feeling right now. I never had it before. So I might not be the best person to explain it to you."

"Well, my heart led me to this turn of events Mom, I don't think I want to drag myself into even more of a mess than I'm already am."

"I know. I'm sorry... Tell me, what do you think you should do?"

What can I do? I mean I think I was going to ask Pyrrha, but then Yang came along and brought this whole mess into my face. Like shit, I should have said something but I would have felt bad. "You think I should follow through with it?"

"It's up to you. I have no say in this. I'm just here for your support." Maybe calling her was a mistake. But then again I don't have anyone else to talk to about this subject. With a tired sigh, I just lean more into my seat and rub the back of my head. Thinking that I dug myself into this mess, the best I can do is bury myself in it.

I hope I don't make things worse for me... Or the other two.

"Well... I think I can do this."

"You sure?" I heard her tone sound worried, but I reassured her.

"Yeah, if anything the worst that could happened is that I lose my friends with my dumbass decision-making, that they begin to draw away from me. Then I will have to live the rest of my years in Beacon with someone that I have known my whole life. Then she might begin to spread rumors about me making me a shut-in for the rest of my life that eventually I will have to transfer schools and maybe change my name... So yeah, I think I can do this..."

"Okay, goodb-." I cut her off before she had the time to say anything and just looked down at the ground in defeat. I looked at my scroll and saw that it was still early in the morning and the dance would start around seven. So I still had a long time to prepare. Or to think of my options.

"GAH! Seth! What is wrong with you?!" I yelled out loud getting the attention of everyone around me.

Standing up I began to head to an airship to go to Vale.

'Well, if you can't do much... Wing it the best that you could.' I thought to myself as I looked down at my scroll. "Internet don't fail me now."

It had been several hours and the rest of team JNPRS was now getting dressed for the dance that was about to happened in less than two hours from now. Nora was as excited as ever as she kept on looking at herself in the mirror of the nice pink dress that she got. The boys on the other hand were all now putting on their dress suits on as they both began to fix their bowties that were mandatory to wear. And Pyrrha was just sitting down on her bed brushing her hair as she waited for Seth to return.

Since the morning, she has been sending text after text to him, but yet has not received a reply back. So she continued to wait and see if he was going to come back to their room. She at least wanted to talk to him before this whole event started.

"Anything yet?" She raised her head and saw that Jaune was the one who asked her. Pyrrha pulled out her scroll and saw that she had yet to received any new messages. Shaking her head she just sighed and looked out their window. The sun was now setting and soon nightfall would come.

"I'm sure he's on his way back, he is responsible for the event entertainment. So I doubt he will miss it." Ren tried to assure her but all he got was silence from Pyrrha.

"If he doesn't come back, then I can break his legs!" Nora asked getting a look from both Ren and Jaune.

"Sigh... No, it's fine. I'm sure he will be there." Pyrrha now said as she got up from her bed and began to walk towards the door. "I'll be going out for a bit. I'll see you all at the dance tonight." She was about to open the door but right before she grabbed the handle, the door opened in walking Seth... "Woah."

White eyes met Green eyes and both looked at each other confused by the other sudden appearance. However green eyes narrowed at him, but quickly changed when she saw what he was holding.

A small corsage.

"Sorry, I'm late. The shop that I went to had no more of these things." Seth said as he raised the small corsage. "I had to go to five other places and apparently everyone is having a damn dance tonight! I swear I thought this was a Beacon thing, but god knows what I had to go through."

"Seth." He raised his head and saw Pyrrha looking at him. Soon his face turned a shade of red and looked to the side. He then takes a deep breath and looks back at Pyrrha.

"Can we talk?" With a nod, Seth let Pyrrha step outside of the room and followed behind her, closing the door as well.

Turning to face Seth, he suddenly grabs a hold of her hand and that makes Pyrrha look at him with surprise.

"I'm sorry... I know I'm not the best when it comes to these types of things... And I know I'm probably not the best person to talk to about it as well. Hell I even still question myself about everything that has happened. But, I just want you to know..." He goes quiet, by the look of it he was trying to find words he could use. But for Pyrrha, she just continued to look at him like she knew what he wanted to say. So she raises her hand to his mouth to keep him quiet.

"Seth." He looks back at her. "I understand..." He tilts his head at her. "Like you, I also don't know too much about this. But I do know one thing for sure." She removes her hand from his mouth and places it on the side of his face. " I would also like to learn as well. And what better person to do it with... Then with you."

Both continue to look at one another, both with red faces. It was Pyrrha who was the one leaning down close to Seth's face. Seth saw this and also began to lean closer to her. So close that both of their forehead's bump into one another. Making Seth backed away while rubbing his head.

"Ouch." He said as he continued to rub his forehead.

"I'm sorry!" Pyrrha quickly apologizes to him, but he just chuckles at her.

"Nah, it's fine. I always knew you would give me a headache with that headpiece of yours."

"I can take it off... If you want?" She said to him, but he shook his head once more.

"Nah, it's fine. It always did suit you." Now it was Seth's face that was red.

They both looked away from each other making things awkward on one another. But it was Seth who looked back first and showed Pyrrha the corsage. Pyrrha took it from Seth and inspected it some more. She saw that it was a bright red rose.

"Where did you get this?"

"Like I said... Was one hell of a thing to find. Especially two of them."

"Two of them?" Pyrrha questioned and from behind Seth he pulled another small corsage, but this one had a yellow rose on it. "Try finding one yellow and one red. Then try not getting looked at, like I was the most hated person in Vale by the people around you. And once you did, the person behind the counter tells you 'You one lucky son of a bitch'. Like bro what do you mean!?" Seth ranted a bit but regained his composure quickly. "But, I guess it's worth it. Seeing that you actually like it... You do, right?"

Pyrrha just nods her head and smiles at him. "I do."

"Sigh... Good. Well then, do you want to go now?"

"Yes... But aren't you going to change? We also have another thing we have to do." She motions towards team RWBY's door, and he nods at her.

"Yeah, you're right... Give me like five minutes." Seth quickly entered his room and closed the door leaving Pyrrha outside waiting for his return.

Meanwhile, Pyrrha continued to look at the rose that Seth got her and smiled some more. But then Team RWBY door opens up and out walks someone else.

"Well, he sure left you speechless huh?" Turning to face the person Pyrrha is met with Yang who was already dressed for the night ahead. She had on a white halter-neck dress.

"Well, he did his best. And that's all I asked for. Are you ready as well?"

"Sure am, but I'm waiting for him to pick me up as well. Can't have a girl do all the work here." Yang said as she leaned on her door. She then noticed the small rose in Pyrrha's hand. "Lucky you."

"Don't be like that, He got one for you as well."

"Gah, why did you ruin my surprise Pyr?"

"Sorry."

"Sigh... Don't be, but like I said yesterday." Yang said as she walked in front of Pyrrha. "Don't lose champ."

Pyrrha just closed her eyes at what Yang said and contemplated it. On the one hand, she didn't want to do any of this. But on the other hand, Pyrrha's competitive side of her wanted to have fun at least. Opening her eyes she looked towards Yang and smirked at her. She was just another fighter like all the others, but this time the fight was different. This one she knew she didn't want to lose.

"I know, just don't be too upset once you lose Xiao Long."

"Oh, I like this side of you already." Both girls smirked at each other but then, team JNPRS door opened, and out walked Seth already dressed and ready to go.

"Sorry for the wait. I just had to get my charger for my scroll, the damn thing died on me, and. Wow Yang, you look really... What?" Seth looked at both girls in front of him. But their reactions were both wide eyes.

As Seth stepped out, they saw him wearing a dark blue dress shirt with a black tie. Black dress pants, dress shoes, and his most notable feature was that his sunglasses were nowhere in sight. He looked embarrassed by them looking at him and just moved towards Yang and grabbed her hand.

Yang quickly recovers from his sudden action, looks down at her hand, and sees a small corsage that Seth handed to her. Regaining her confidence again Yang smirked at him.

"Damn Shades. You clean up nice."

"Thank you Yang, you look lovely as well." Yang smiled even more and turned to Pyrrha who was still looking at Seth. Yang motions to Seth and he turns to see Pyrrha still standing there.

"Pyrrha, are you ready to go?" Regaining her composure, she nods her head at him and goes to link arms with him. Both smile at each other and are about to move but Yang grabs both shoulders, stopping them in their tracks.

"Just one second you two. I'm inviting a fourth member tonight." Yang said as she quickly entered her room. Making the two look confuse at each other. Soon noise is heard inside team RWBY's room and suddenly the door opens up and out walks Yang linked arms with Weiss.

"Yang! I've told you before I don't want to go!"

"And I told you before, just because he rejected you, doesn't mean you have to have a bad time by yourself. You will be with us, so enjoy tonight."

"Us?" Weiss looked in front of her and saw both Pyrrha and Seth looking back at her. Weiss face soon turned red by them and tried to escape Yang's clutches but to no avail.

"Yang..."

"Come on it will be fun Weiss. Trust me." Weiss continues to look back at Yang and back at the other two. With no room to argue she gives up and accepts her faith that Yang is releasing at her.

"Sigh... Fine." She lets Yang drag her to the other two and Weiss looks at both of them. "Not a single word."

"You look very lovely Weiss." Pyrrha said to her.

"Elegant as always Weiss." Seth said to her and now Weiss was full red face.

"I said not a word, you two!" Weiss angrily said to the two earning a laugh from the three. Soon they all began to walk towards the ballroom to set up any last-minute things. Cause in a few hours the party was about to start.

"Don't the boys have a dress code to follow?" I heard Weiss ask me and I answered her.

"This is one benefit that I get for playing for all of you tonight. Also, I'm not a big fan of formal attire. This tie is just a clip-on. I also had to use one of my favors." I tell her as I remove it from my shirt and place it back in place.

"You never were a fan of those huh?" Pyrrha asked me.

"The last time I wore something like that was at graduation. You know the one where everyone got into that big fight."

"How can I forget."

"Wait, you two got into a fight?" Yang asked.

"Well... At first, it was everyone against me, but then everyone just started attacking one another. Sigh... The memories."

"Hopefully nothing like that happens tonight."

"Especially when the whole school is here." Weiss told us as she was the first to enter the ballroom. Yang and Pyrrha followed behind her and I was the last to enter.

We began to turn on the lights of the place and made sure that everything was in order. In an hour the first few people will arrive here. So, everything was on us to make sure we were ready.

Our jobs were simple. Yang was going to stay at the front to greet guests. Weiss would be in charge of the middle section of the ballroom to make sure nothing goes wrong with the decor... I don't know what that's about. And for me. I will be in the back, with all the equipment to make sure the music plays all throughout the night.

No idea where Ruby was, but Yang had informed me that she was having trouble and that she would arrive later tonight. Apparently, she is also not a big fan of these events. Huh? Same boat, I guess.

The only one left was Pyrrha, and since she was not involved with any of the events that led us to this, she was mostly with me, seeing me work on the equipment.

Not going to lie, it was making me nervous.

"Okay. Everything is done here. Now all I have to do is hit play on my scroll and the dance can begin."

"That was fast."

"I spent all yesterday morning with this, so I guess you can say I got my work cut out for this."

Pyrrha laughed at this and continued to look around the room. Seeing as Weiss and Yang continue to prepare the littlest things. "I feel like I should at least help out here."

"Nope. You are an attendee. Not a worker here. Leave the rest to us and you just enjoy your night." I tell her and she just looks down at the ground. I felt bad that I didn't let her help out. But I had to keep that foot down, don't want her to do anything else than to have fun tonight.

So why not start the night off right?

"Want to dance?" I asked her and she quickly looked up at me.

"Now?" She asked and I nod my head at her.

"Yeah. Consider this the first dance of the night. Or a test run, whatever you want to call it." I raise my hand to her and see if she takes it. The next thing I knew she grabbed it without hesitation, and I guided her to the dance floor.

"You want a slow start or a fast one?" I asked her and she began to think about it.

"Hm, let's see just how well I've gotten at dancing."

"Fast it is." I tap my heart and she look at me confused by it. "This one is a new one. Just to make it special."

The moment the music began to play, both Yang and Weiss turned to see Pyrrha and Seth beginning to dance on the dance floor. Both looked in awe over the two, with Seth being the expert one and Pyrrha trying her best to follow his lead. They saw Seth bring Pyrrha close to him and spin her around, slowing down just for her to follow.

As the two continued to watch, Yang was beginning to feel the song and looked towards Weiss. "Let's dance!"

"What? No, I will not."

"Just let loose Weiss!" Yang grabs Weiss's arms and begins to drag her to the dancefloor with the others.

"Yang!" Trying to argue, Yang began to take both of Weiss's arms and began to dance with her. Weiss tries her best to not be embarrassed as she allows Yang to lead her. To her dismay, she was seeing Yang move along at speeds that she was not used to when it came to dance. Turning to the others she saw Seth guide Pyrrha hand in hand with easy steps that she knew all too well.

"It's not nice to look at others." Yang teased at her, gaining her attention back.

"It's not that. Your dancing is just so..."

"Exotic?"

"Fast."

"Oh! Well, then I can fix that." Yang grabs her hand and looks towards the others. "Hey, Pyrrha!" Both looked at the two and saw Yang wave at them. "Trade partners." Yang motioned to Weiss and with a smile Pyrrha agreed to this.

Pyrrha walked to Weiss and offered her a hand earning a blush from her. Meanwhile, Yang walked up to Seth and smirked at him.

"Show me a good time Shades."

"Trust me we're just getting started." Seth takes Yang's hand, and both begin to dance to their hearts' content. Meanwhile, Pyrrha was the one leading Weiss around, going at a simple pace.

"Weiss, just have fun."

"I'm trying... Sigh... You just wouldn't understand."

"I think I might." She tells her as she turns to the others and sees Yang and Seth hand in hand smiling the whole time. "Trust me, Weiss. Just let loose, it's a night of fun tonight." Weiss just continued to look downwards but Pyrrha then got an idea.

"Yang, change." Yang looked back at Pyrrha and saw her motion at Weiss. With a smile, Yang led Seth towards the others and took Pyrrha's hand. Leaving both Seth and Weiss alone.

Seth looked towards Weiss and smiled at her. He offered her a hand to dance but Weiss looked away from him.

"Weiss." She turned to Seth and saw him with a hand behind his back. "May I have this dance?" She looked at his hand and back at him. Slowly she raises her hand but each time she hesitates. But as she was about to go for it. The doors of the ballroom open and in walks the headmaster with Miss Goodwitch and the General.

"Students! The dance will start later." Miss Goodwitch said stopping the group of four on their tracks. Seth quickly tapped his heart to stop his song and they all looked at Miss Goodwitch.

"Ehe! Sorry, we were just testing the dance floor." Seth said as he rubbed the side of his head.

"Now, now. Glynda, I'm sure they have not done anything bad. Just let them have their fun for tonight." Ozpin said as he looked around and saw the work that the students did. "Now I'm sure everything is in order correct."

Weiss steps forward "Yes sir. Everything is all set and ready to go."

"I'm glad. Now Mister Sapphire, what will be tonight's entertainment?" He looked at Seth and he pulled out his scroll to hit play. Soon classical Music begins to play all throughout the ballroom.

"Something simple, just like Miss Goodwitch requested. But after ten, that's where the real fun begins."

"I will be excited to hear it then." Ozpin then looks at his comrades and sees that James is looking at Seth. "Is something wrong James?"

"Nothing... Just had a hunch..." James looked back at his friend and began to walk away. "I need to make a call, I'll return." Leaving the room, he pulls out his scroll and looks for a contact with the letter 'W'.

The dance was so on right now!

People had finally made it here and everyone was either dancing, sitting, hanging around, or just standing close to the punchbowl trying to blend in with the rest. Honestly, that would have been me a long time ago... Things have really changed in the past years.

Looking to my side I see my team all standing next to me just talking amongst each other. Nora, Ren, and Jaune all came here the moment the doors opened and decided to hang around us. More and more students came as well and we even saw Team SSSN without their leader. Told us he was coming in late. Team ABRN came in minutes later with Reese leading them in, behind I could tell Bolin and Nadir were covering Arslan who looked like a fish out of water. Must have never done anything like this before. They made their way towards us and we all decided to hang around for the time being. Got punched by Arslan by the way. One compliment and I got decked. So that was fun.

Penny also made it as well. And she finally brought her team with her... I was not expecting one of them, but the other two were at least nice. Anabel and Looker, both seem like nice people. It was their last teammate that I was skeptical about... Man, life just likes to throw curveballs at me. Their team name was LAPC (Lapis), but I digress at least they were kind to Penny, that's all that really matters to me.

I felt someone grab my hand and I turned to see Pyrrha looking at me. "Is everything okay?"

I smile at her and nod. "Yeah, just surprise that's all."

"About, you know." She motions to the person and I just shake my head.

"Nah, that was a long time ago. What matters is right now." I squeeze her hand and she also does the same.

"You want to go dance?" She asked me and I looked down at my scroll seeing the timer.

"Give me three minutes, the song is about to end, and I want to jump right into the next one. In thirty minutes, I would be able to play my own playlist and then the real fun can begin. If you want to dance, go ahead, I need a break." She smiles back at me and nods. She then walks up to Jaune and asks to dance. He looks back at me and I just throw him a thumbs-up. With that, he nods my way and I see them head to the dance floor with Ren and Nora behind them.

I then began to walk along the side of the ballroom making sure I didn't interrupt others. I guess the best thing about me being the one to do this, is that I can roam around and not be in one single place all night. I move towards the front and see Yang greet more people coming in. Moving towards her I stand next to her.

"So, how's your night so far?" She turns to me and smiles.

"It's been alright. The night started off great, but now it's kind of died down since being here. But I'm still waiting for later. That is when the real fun will begin." She bumps my side and I chuckle at that.

"Yeah, don't worry in thirty minutes the real fun will begin. Just make sure you are prepared for it."

"Do you know who you are talking to?"

"Yang."

"You know it." We laugh at that and hear the door open. Yang quickly looks back and a big smile comes up her face and jumps in excitement. "Oh, You look so beautiful!"

Turning to face the new arrival, I see Ruby walk-... Stumbling into the ballroom, groaning at every step she takes. "Can we have a serious talk about how Weiss fights in these?" Ruby said as she stood right in front of us.

"The many mysteries of the world, I guess. You look really nice Ruby." I said to her, and she gave me a deadpan expression.

"Sigh... The fact that you two can still act like yourself here, is too much for me."

"Just have fun Ruby that's what this night is about."

"Tomorrow, we go back to our usual life. So just enjoy it."

"Gah, can someone help me to the punchbowl? I rather stay in one place for the rest of the night." Ruby said as she wanted to get away from the spotlight, well mostly the entrance.

"I'll help you out." I move next to her and offer her a hand. She goes to take it but she almost trips and grabs my arm instead.

"Sorry!" She said embarrassed by her sudden action.

"No problem. Let's get you to the side then."

"Thanks Seth."

"You better bring her back before midnight." We both turn to Yang and see her smirking at the both of us. Making us both look at her not amused by her antics.

"God damn it/ Yang!" We said as I continued to walk her to the place that Ruby wanted to be. While hearing Yang laughing up a storm.

"Sister... You know?" I heard Ruby say but I nod at her.

"I am thankful that I'm an only child."

"Lucky you." We laugh at that and I let go of Ruby seeing as we made it to the place that she wanted to be.

"You sure you are going to be okay here?" I asked her and she nods my way.

"Yeah, if anything I can see Weiss from here. So hopefully she will come and we can be here for the time being. What about you?"

I pull out my scroll and select the next song to play. "Well, I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing. If anything, there are no problems so far. So I'm just going to enjoy the night... Want to dance?"

Ruby turns to me and shakes her head. "No, I'm not really a fancy, pantsy, dancy girl."

"No, I get you... But just so you know. Dancing is not about moving your feet Ruby. It's about feeling your body and letting the music take control."

"What?"

"I'll tell you later. Have fun here." I begin to leave and begin to head back to the back to find the others. During my walk back I turn to see both Blake and Sun walking in and getting greeted by Yang. She then takes Blake's hand and both begin to head to the dance floor where they begin to dance around.

Smiling at this I continue to move towards the back, there I see my team all standing next to Penny's team and I just sigh at this.

'Better get this over with.' Walking up to them, it was Nora who turned to me.

"Seth! You didn't tell us you and Pyrrha both knew Ciel." I looked toward Pyrrha and she was standing next to Ciel and Penny, talking among each other.

"Well, yeah. We went to the same school when we were kids and we just moved to different schools after that. I think she moved back to Atlas or something. We really didn't keep in contact after that."

"Cool! Anyway, when will the party start?! I want to keep dancing but these songs aren't cutting it for me... No offense."

"Non-taken." Taking out my scroll I see that in a few minutes, we can begin.

"In a few minutes Nora. Just get ready." I look at Ren and smirk at him. "Good luck." Ren nods his head at me and continues to drink.

"Seth!" I heard my name get called to the side and saw Penny waving at me motioning me to come. Taking a deep breath I move towards them and say my hello's.

"Hey Penny, you're looking nice." I tell her as I see her wearing a nice green dress.

"Why thank you frie-. I mean Seth." She winks at me and I roll my eyes at her as she continues to play the part of us not being friends. I looked to the side and saw Ciel looking at the both of us confused by our antics. "Seth this is."

"Sapphire."

"Soleil."

"Wait you two know each other?" Penny asked and it was Ciel that answered her.

"We were students attending school together at a young age."

"We were like... eight or nine." I said to her but she quickly corrected me.

"Nine actually."

"Right... So anyway I hope you all are enjoying the dance so far."

"It is amazing. So many new faces, and so many new friends here. I am also happy with the way things are turning out to be so far."

"That's good. Anyway, the real fun is just about to begin." I looked down at my scroll and saw that it was already ten. With a smile on my face, I looked around to find Miss Goodwitch and saw that she was standing next to the headmaster. With a whistle, she turned in my direction and saw that I was raising my scroll up into the air indicating to her that it was ten. She nodded her head at me and with a smile I began to change the music.

I looked towards Pyrrha and asked her if she wanted to dance again. Sadly she declined cause she was tired of dancing so far. I understood her and told her to take a break. I turned to Penny and asked the same question. Penny agreed to this and I took her hand and we headed to the dance floor.

As I led Penny to the floor people around us were looking around wondering what had happened to the music. Soon I took my scroll and hit play on my playlist and hit random. Whatever happened next, I'll let fate take its place.

The first song began, and I looked a Penny, an upbeat song with techno beats. We both began to dance and soon everyone began looking at us as we began to dance.

Off to the side, Nora took Ren's arm and dragged him to the dance floor as well, following their teammates' lead. The two partners began to dance as well. Not caring for the looks they were getting, just enjoying their time right now.

Around the world, around the world

"Is the song broken?" Penny asked me and I chuckled at that.

"Nah, just how it goes. It's pretty catchy though." Soon more people began to dance to the beat of the song and soon the whole dance floor was dancing to the simple yet fun song.

It was towards the end of the song that I noticed that we were now getting surrounded by people. I began to lead Penny out of the center of the dance floor and lead her back to the others. Penny thanked me for the dance and I also thanked her for her time. I looked toward her partner and saw her standing there. So I decided to ask her if she wanted to dance as well.

"Want to dance Soleil?" She looked at me surprised but she shook her head at me.

"Sorry, but I don't dance."

"Come on. Make a few seconds of your time. Unless you think its a waste." I regretted saying the last part, cause she looked downwards at the floor. I was about to apologize but she raised her hand at me and looked down at her watch. With a hesitative nod, she tells me.

"Very well... You have five minutes."

With a smile, I take her hand. "That's more than enough for me." We headed to the dance floor where the next song was about to begin. I take her hand and we begin to dance.

"I'm sorry." I heard her say to me and I just laughed at it.

"Nah, it's fine. We were just kids. We didn't know any better." I tell her as I spin her.

"Still..." I felt something there, but I chose to ignore it.

Off to the side, Pyrrha looked towards the two dancing, a small smile appeared on her face but she chose to let them continue dancing along. She began to walk towards some stairs to get some fresh air.

From across from her, Ruby and Jaune were talking among each other enjoying each other's company. Jaune then told Ruby that he was happy that Weiss had come with Neptune, but Ruby looked at him confused by it.

"Weiss came with Yang, Pyrrha, and Seth."

"What?" Jaune looked at her surprised by that and turned to the others. He saw Seth dancing with Ceil and Pyrrha walking towards some stairs, Yang was still at the front greeting people who had come late to the dance. Confused by this he began to walk toward Pyrrha, trying to understand what was that about. While telling Ruby to hold his cup.

"Thank you for the dance Sapphire." Ciel told me as I nodded my head at her.

"Nah, thank you for your time, Soleil." With a nod, she heads back to her team and stands next to Penny who was happy for some reason. I then felt someone smack my back and I turned to see Bolin and Reese behind me.

"Sup you two how's it been? Reese, you look nice. Bolin... Never thought I see you in a tux."

"Pretty fun, not gonna lie. Thanks for the compliment, man." "Yeah, this is way better than I expected, and thank you, Seth."

"That's good to hear." I looked around for Arslan and Nadir but I didn't see them anywhere. "Where are the other two?"

"Arslan is close to the back, she is not a big fan of these types of things. Nadir decided to stay back with her."

"Yeah, but it's a shame, we told her she could at least have fun but she just didn't feel like coming. Something is up with her." Bolin said and I looked around to find her. And I did, close to the back with the equipment.

"You think if I ask her to dance she might punch me?" I questioned and they both said the same thing.

"Yes."

Well, that answers that question. I began to walk towards her. While hearing the others tell me words of encouragement. "Don't die!" "He was too young." Yep, some friends I have.

Walking up to the two, I see Arslan look up to me and narrow her eyes at me. Almost like she was telling me to 'back away'. I ignore it and offer her a hand.

"What?" She questioned me as she looked at me, wondering what I was doing.

"Dance?"

"No."

"Are you sure? You look like you can use it."

"Well, I don't." She said while gritting her teeth at me.

"Tsk. Fine, just thought that 'my rival' would at least keep up with me." I turned away from her, but I then felt someone grab my shoulder... Hard.

"Do you care to repeat that?" Turning my head I see her Olive-green eyes looking at me with determination. I grab a hold of her hand and look back at her.

"Want to dance?"

"Tsk. You are really annoying aren't you Sapphire." She then grabs a hold of my shirt and begins to drag me to the dance floor. "Just so you know, I don't dance."

"That's fine, just take this like a fight... Just no punching, kicking, clawing, biting, using semblance or."

"I know what a dance is. I just never done it before." She tells me as we both stand on the dance floor waiting for the next song to play. "Just don't blame me if I step on you."

"Then you're in luck, I'm one of the best." The song starts and I take the lead. It was a fast song, so I was expecting her to stumble a lot... Boy was I wrong.

To my surprise, Arslan was keeping up with the tempo of the song, that the people around us were now staring at us dancing around.

"And you said you don't dance." I tell her as I bring her close to me that she stops in front of me and looks me dead in the eyes.

"Please, like you can ever beat me in anything." Arslan then to my surprise dips me and I look back at her with wide eyes. "I will make sure, I won't lose." For some reason, I felt my face burn up a bit but regardless I smiled back at her, continuing our dance.

Towards the end of the song, Her teammates began to jump at the opportunity to dance around us, and I think for the first time I saw her genially smile... Huh... It was nice.

I was about to go and let them continue to dance along with each other, but it was Reese that brought me back in.

"Not yet dude! We still need to dance." Not wanting to argue I agreed to her request and soon an upbeat rock song began to play and both me and Reese began to bop to it.

As the group of five were all having a good time. Yang saw Seth and Reese both spinning around jumping up and down enjoying themself, she took it upon herself to help two of her friends out. Quickly moving in the direction of Blake she grabs her hand and guides her towards Seth, while telling Sun to borrow her for a dance. Sun agreed to this and saw them walk away from him.

With the song finally over I wanted to take a break and get my energy back. But right before I could I felt someone cover my eyes.

"Hello~!" From behind I heard Yang say to me and I smile at this.

"Sup Yang want to dance?" I asked but right before she answered she began to push me in a direction that I didn't know where we were going. "Wah, Yang what's up?"

"I just need you to help me out here." She soon stops and uncovers my eyes. And right in front of me was Blake looking away from me. I knew what Yang was planning but before I could say anything, she pushed me towards her making me stop in front of Blake.

"Yang." I said with an upset tone but she just told me 'One dance'. I wanted to argue but she then showed me that she had my scroll with her. Surprised by how she did it she told me 'One dance and I can get it back'. Not liking my options I turn back to Blake and offer her a hand.

"Let's get this over with."

"You don't have to."

"If I want my scroll back, I rather get this over with." I don't want to start an argument here and begin to guide her towards the edge of the dance floor.

Yang seeing this, hits played on a song, and to my surprise, I really didn't want to hear this one.

"Of course, she would play this one." Taking Blake's hand we begin to dance. Off to the side of us, Yang went to Sun and asked to dance as well, not wanting to be left out. Sun agreed to this and both began to head their way to join them.

As we both danced, it was Blake who started to talk. "Seth... I." I quickly spun her around cutting her off. "Can I just." I spun her once more. "Can." I then dip her down and she raises her head with an upset look. "Can you quit it?" Pulling her back up we continue, and she also continues. "I'm sorry." I keep quiet not paying attention to her, but she still continues. "I'm sorry for the way I acted and... For the things I said." I was now slightly listening. "I was out of line and yes, you do have your reasons to protect your family. I'm sorry for not understanding that. I just..." She gets quiet looking for the right words to use. "I haven't spoken to my parents in years." Now I look at her. "They might hate me for still being in the White Fang even though they left it a long time ago. So, I just wanted to continue on for them... Make things better." I listen to her reasoning as she continues to apologize to me. She explains to me her story about them, and I listen carefully to it. She was opening up a bit more and I made a decision as well.

Taking a deep breath, I spun her around once more and brought her close to me. "My Mom lost her team in her final years as a student." She looks up at me. "I don't like bringing it up because she still hasn't forgotten it."

"I'm sorry." She apologizes and I just nod.

"It's fine... Just give it some time Blake. Maybe we can talk once more." The next thing she does is rest her head on my chest. She must still be tired, the fact that she actually came here is a miracle in itself. So we just slowed dance for a bit, letting the song continue to play out.

Yang and Sun both looked at the two as they saw Blake leaning on Seth's chest. With widened eyes, both look back at each other and back at the two as they continue to slow dance. With the song ending both made their way to the two and I handed Blake to Yang. "She just tired. Must be because of the all-nighter she has done lately."

"Yeah, well at least she came. And you two made up!"

I give her a deadpan expression and move to her, taking my scroll back. I then began to move to the side trying to relax for the next few songs. There I saw Ruby beginning to head up some stairs and I decided to follow her to talk for a bit.

"Sup Ruby. " She jumps a bit at my sudden appearance and looks back.

"Oh, hey Seth. How's your night?"

"It's good. Nothing to complain about. How about yours?"

"Well it's something, but at least everyone is having fun." She looks down at the floor below and sees everyone having a good time, with the exception of one person.

"Have you danced yet?" I asked her and she just shook her head.

"Nah, like I said. Not really a dancy person." I looked at her with a smirk.

"Really? Cause the last time I remember you had no problem when we were at the library and decided to copy the moves I did with Team GOTH." She quickly turned to me and threw a punch at my side. Embarrassed by my words.

"That was different!"

"How?"

"It was!"

"How?" I asked again.

"We were with friends." She answers and I nod.

"Well, look around Ruby you are also with friends as well. Just enjoy." I offer her a hand and ask for a dance.

"I don't dance Seth."

"You are the third person to tell me this tonight and yet somehow each time the other surprises me. Just give it a chance."

"But... These heels will hurt me." She gave a good argument but I had a counter one.

"Move your arms and hands. Dancing is not just moving your feet Ruby." I began to move my hands from side to side along with my shoulders following the beat of the song that was playing.

Ruby seeing this begins to laugh at my antics, but she eventually begins to follow my lead by moving her own hands like me and we both begin to dance a bit just enjoying the song.

Soon Jaune and Pyrrha both begin to walk back inside and see the scene at hand with Ruby and Seth. Pyrrha quickly excused herself and began to walk towards the two.

With her mind made up, she wanted to dance again.

The feeling of someone tapping my shoulder, I turned to face the person and was met with Pyrrha again.

"Hello there."

"Hello again."

We both laughed at our greetings and I saw her raise her hand at me, indicating that she wanted to dance.

With a smile, I took her hand and turned to Ruby. "Have fun Ruby. Keep dancing."

"No promises, and thanks, Seth." With a nod, Pyrrha and I both began to head down to the dance floor. Leaving Jaune and Ruby up there.

As we both made it to the bottom of the floor the next song was about to start. However, it was interrupted by another.

A song started to play... From my heart.

Looking down at my heart confused by this, I looked back at Pyrrha who was also looking at it in wonder.

I think that tonight is when our stars align

Looking at Pyrrha now, I decided to pull out my scroll and hit stop for the moment. This song was going to be our dance.

Pulling my scroll away, I take Pyrrha's hand and bring her close to me as we begin to slowly dance to the song.

"So, where were you this morning." She asked me as we began to slow dance.

"Well, went out. Called someone for advice, didn't get it. So I did one thing that I regret doing." Looking around people were now beginning to dance as well to the song. "I asked the internet for advice." She looked at me confused by that.

"Nope."

"How to deal with two dates at the same time? Asking for a friend." I posted it on a forum that I found. Apparently, this place gives advice to people with all different types of problems. Had to create an account but it looks nice, to say the least.

"Damn advice already? That was fast let's see what they..." I continued to scroll down and saw that this was not advice at all.

"Maybe I should read a book instead." I decided to walk to the nearest bookstore and find my answer there.

"After that, I spent most of my time finding a shop for your and Yang's corsage. So yeah, that was my morning." The song began to pick up and we both began to pick up the pace.

"You've gotten way better at dancing." I told her and saw her smile.

"You can thank Nora and Ren for that."

From the sideline Ren, Nora, and Jaune all looked at the two dancing around. Nora getting giddy towards it turns to Ren and Jaune.

"Ren! This is happening!"

"Wait? What is happening?"

"Didn't you plan something like- Woah!" Both Jaune and Ren get dragged toward the pair determined to join them as well. Pyrrha looking at them dragged Seth towards the others and the team began to dance... Just like they practice.

The people around them all made room for the group of five, as they saw the dance in the center of the dance floor.

As this was going on. Up on the second floor of the ballroom. Two individuals looked down at the dance. One began to make a call while the other looked around at the scene.

"It appears all the dancers have partners." Emerald said through her scroll.

"Well not everyone" Mercury said as he pointed at a blonde boy.

"Shhh." Emerald quickly silences him waiting for a response.

"Ma'am?" On the other line, a pain voice began to talk back.

"How... Long! Do... I... I... Have?"

"Cinder are you?" Emeral worried about her, is quickly silenced by Cinder.

"How Long!" The tone of Cinder made it clear that she was having issues right now. So Mercury quickly answers her.

"We should probably be home by midnight. just to be safe."

They don't hear a response from her cause the line ends. Both looked at each other confused by what that was about.

Meanwhile with Cinder. She was currently on the roof of a building, holding onto her right arm.

"Calm down... Calm down you beast!" She gripped her arm tightly as she began to growl angry at it. Soon her hand began to glow orange and the pain was beginning to hurt her Aura.

With the annoyance now gone, she began her mission and jumped towards the CCT.

Nora wanted to keep dancing and I was at my limit of dances for the night. I swear this girl could dance all night long and still have energy the next morning.

Right now I am at a table with Jaune, Pyrrha, and Ren. We all decided to take a break and watch the people as they continued to dance the night away. Nora was currently dancing with Penny. Those two might be scary if they decided to team up with each other, almost like they have unlimited power with them.

"Man, this night has been crazy. To think this only happens once every two years. With Vytal." I said as I leaned on my chair and began to remove my tie.

"It is a special event for all of us. Tomorrow it's back to work as always." Ren informs us and we all nod at this.

"Yeah, missions tomorrow. Sure, hope they're not too hard on us." Jaune added on.

"I'm sure whatever they are, we will be ready for it." Pyrrha said as she noticed someone walking behind Seth.

"Yeah, but for now I guess we can just relax and enjoy the rest of the night." I tell them as I feel someone cover my eyes again. "Sigh... Why do I open my mouth."

"I can close it for you if you want." I quickly raise my hand to the other person's hands and remove them from me. I then lean back and see Yang looking down at me with a smile.

"Let me guess. You want to dance now?"

"You know it Shades. What do you say?"

I get up from my seat and nod her way. With a smile, Yang takes my arm and begins to drag me down to the dance floor. "Alright! Let's kick this party with the Yang! Pyrrha I'm taking our date now! You better be ready for the next song."

"God damn it Yang!"

"Have fun you two. I'll be waiting then." She waved at us as we both disappeared into the crowd.

Meanwhile, Ren and Jaune both looked at Pyrrha confused by what Yang said to her. "Date?"

"It's a long story." Pyrrha tells them and for the first time, it was Ren who said something out of the blue. "Lucky guy."

As me and Yang both come to a stop she grabs both of my hands and waits for the next song to start. "So, Shades how's your night so far? Gotten lucky yet?"

"If you are referring to dancing then yes I have. I have been dancing all night. What about you Yang?"

"Had a few, but now I want to see you really impress me."

"Fine, you better keep up then." With a smirk we both begin. As the music took over she began to talk more about the dance.

I will never, ever run away, I'll be here to fight another day.

"Thanks for dancing with Ruby, by the way."

"You saw that?"

"Yep, don't worry I won't show the video to anyone... Well, maybe our friend group."

"Damn, that's crazy." I tell her as I spin her around.

"But again, thanks for that. Ruby can be..." Yang tried to find the words.

"Shy?"

"Yeah, but more anti-social with others. I'm happy that she at least was able to make friends with everyone."

"Always caring huh?"

"Of course, I am her sister after all. I need to be sure she is at least doing good. But I digress. Thanks Seth." Yang goes in and pecks my cheek.

My face turns crimson, and I just stumble with my words. "I... I... Ye-ah. Si! No problem!"

"Pfft! Chill man, it's just a peck. Don't need to be so embarrassed. Unless." She leans closer again.

"Yang..."

"Kidding! I already know you and Pyrrha are going for it."

"What! No me and her... We." I began to panic a bit but Yang began to calm me down

"Hey, I'm sure if you ask she will say yes." Many thoughts began to fill my head. Me and Pyrrha, will it work out? What will she say? Will she hate me? Can I do that to her?

"I don't know..."

"Hey, it's up to you Seth, but word of advice." She puts her arms around me. "Girls don't like to wait too long. So, you better make a move soon, cause someone else can come in and take your chance."

"..."

"But! That also goes both ways." She winks at me and now I am really confused by her antics.

"Damn it Yang."

"Ha! You know it." She continues to dance and looks around seeing that people are now beginning to take breaks. She then turns to a person and an idea pops in her head. "Hey, can you do me a favor?"

"Sure?" I said making me wonder if I made a mistake at agreeing to this.

"Can you close your eyes for a bit?"

"Yang I swear if you bring someone else." I said as I crossed my arms at her.

"Please... She might need it."

"Who?"

"Weiss. Just look at her." She points in the direction of Weiss, who is just sitting down on a chair in a corner of the room.

"Why is she there?"

"Sigh... Promise you won't mention this." I nod at her. "The reason I brought her along was cause yesterday Neptune rejected her. Weiss then didn't want to come so I convinced her." "Dragged her." "Convince her! To come with us. And she hasn't danced all night. So can you do me a favor and dance with her?"

"Why can't you do it?"

"I already got a dance partner next and who knows when this night is going to end. So Seth do me a solid here." Debating if I should do it I see Yang pleading eyes at me and I nod to her... But I had a request.

"Okay, but! If she begins to scratch me and hit me. I'm backing out. So at least tell her what is up first before you just drag her. It's her choice to make."

"Deal! Be back one sec Shades." With that Yang heads toward Weiss's direction and I see them talking for a bit. I then see Yang point at me and Weiss turns to me. She narrows her eyes at me and looks back at Yang. I can't hear what they are saying but with the hand motions that both Weiss and Yang are doing, it's an even battle.

But by some miracle, Weiss gets up from her chair and begins to head my way. From behind her Yang throws me a thumbs up and mouths to me. 'Gottem!'

How she did it. I will never know.

"Sapphire." Weiss called my name and I saw her arm crossed in front of me. With a smile, I call back to her.

"Weiss." I raise my hand to her. "Would you like to dance?"

"Hmp! Like I have a choice." She raises her hand towards me but I drop mine. "Wah?" She looks at me confused.

"It's your choice Weiss. This is your decision in the matter." Surprise by my words she looks down at the dance floor and back to me. I then see her take a step forward and grab my hand.

"I would like to dance at least once tonight. So I don't care who it is now. Just be sure it's not a fast song, or a rock song, or a-." I quickly cut her off.

"I get it. Something nice and slow." I pull out my scroll to choose a song. But for some reason, it was spazzing out. The screen was flickering on and off. And in a short instance, I saw something appear on my screen and I grabbed my head at the sight of it.

"Are you okay?" I heard Weiss next to me and I looked back at her.

"Yeah, don't worry about it." I looked back at my scroll and saw it back to normal.

'What was that?' I thought to myself as I picked the song and turned to Weiss and we both started to dance slowly.

Was it all a dream? Will I never know? Foolish and blind, To everything

"I must say, this song is way different from your usual ones."

"What can I say, I got a whole library of these bad boys. Each one is more special than the next."

"Hmp, it's too bad you pick the worse ones."

"Oi! These are special to me and-"

"I know... I can now understand that each one of your songs is special to you. I've seen you go from dancing formally, to energetic, to downright crazy and calming. I don't think I've ever heard any of these songs and yet, you somehow have these many at your disposal. Makes me wonder if you stole them or." She stops herself from continuing.

"I had these songs since I was young, Weiss. They are special to me. Just like your songs are special to you." She nods at that and closes her eyes. As we both slowly waltz.

As the song finishes up, Weiss bows down and I do the same. "Thank you for the dance... Seth."

"No problem, thanks as well, Weiss."

"Any time."

"But... Can you do me a favor?"

"Already asking for something." She narrows her eyes at me and I raise my hands up in defeat.

"Just one... I know I don't have a say in this, but just give him one dance." I motioned to Jaune who was still sitting down at the table we were at. "I know it will make his night."

She looks at Jaune and then back to me. She looked like she was fighting a battle with herself, but in the end, she nods.

"Very well. I will consider it. But. You tell him it's just one dance. And he better not do anything rash." She tells me and I nod to her.

"You bet! Thanks, Weiss your the best!" I walked towards Jaune and I could hear her say 'She knows', Laughing at this I moved towards Jaune.

"Mister Sapphire." I turned at the call of my name and saw the headmaster right behind me. "Final song young man. Make sure it's a good one." With a nod, I head to the stage to announce it.

To get the people's attention I had to yell out to them "Ayo! Last song of the night. Get your butts a partner and dance the night away!" Jumping down I walked past the headmaster who was looking at me not amused by my way of getting the attention.

"You know we handed you a microphone, right?"

"Yeah, but that was better and faster." Walking past him I head to Jaune who was now getting up and moving to the side.

"Yo! Jaune!" He turns to me and goes wide-eyes

"Um Seth, I am honored but."

"Shut! Look man, I got a partner for you. But you got to promise me one thing."

"Ugh... Sure what is it?"

"Don't fuck up." I point toward Weiss who is waiting patiently by the side. I could see Jaune's eyes go wide at this and I stopped him right before he went to her.

"Like I said. Don't. Fuck. Up. Just be yourself." He looks at me and nods my way. With those words of encouragement, I see Jaune walk up to Weiss and offer her a hand, she then takes it and both walk towards the dance floor.

"Well, my job here is done." I felt a hand on my shoulder, and I turn to see Pyrrha again.

"Sup?"

"You need a partner?"

"Well..." I looked around and saw everyone with someone already. I tried to find Yang but I didn't see her anywhere. Looking back at Pyrrha I nod at her. "Sure. Let's dance."

I then chose the final song. An amazing saxophone starts it, and I take Pyrrha's hand leading her to the dance floor.

I feel so unsure, As I take your hand, And lead you to the dance floor

We both begin to slow dance as she puts her head on my shoulder, I felt a little embarrass because she was a bit taller than me but regardless, I place a hand on her waist, she looks back at me. I see her smile at me, and I lean close to her, placing my forehead on hers.

"Seth." I heard her call my name.

"Yeah?"

"Thank you for tonight."

"Hey, no problem. Happy that you had a good time tonight."

"Hm." We both continue to dance, ignoring the people around us. Not caring about anything else. Just us.

"Pyrrha."

"Hm."

"I was wondering." I felt my heart begin to speed up. Like I was about to pass out any minute now.

"Seth?" I see her green eyes look at me and I make the decision right now.

"I was wondering... Once we finish with our mission..." I close my eyes. Was I making a mistake here? Did I want to do this? Was I reading the signs wrong here? I'm scared...

"Seth." Opening my eyes. Pyrrha places a hand on my chest calming me down. With this, I gain my courage again.

"You want to... Hang out? Just the two of us?" I said trying not to sound off.

I see her eyes go wide.

Shit! Did I fuck up! Oh god! I was about to stop dancing. But she puts her arms around my neck.

"Yes." She said with a smile on her face happy as she could be.

And I knew right there... That my heart just skipped a beat... And that scared me.

"Well, it's about time." Yang looked down from the second floor of the ballroom, seeing her two dates together like this.

"You better make it count Pyrrha. Cause if you don't..." She leans on the rails a small smile on her face.

"I won't hesitate next time."

So wrong that you had to leave me alone?

"Huh? I wonder where Ruby is at?"
