"Annie, it stopped!" Percy yelled. Both him and Annabeth were in the elevator going to Olympus when the elevator started to slow until it stopped completely.
"Don't call me Annie!" Annabeth protested.
"But Annabeth... oh my gods, Annabeth" Percy let out a strangely girlish scream when the lights went out.
"Percy it's fine. We just have to wait for someone to help us" Annabeth replied, exasperated.
She grabbed her monster proof phone and put the flashlight on. She pointed it at Percy's direction to find him look at her worriedly.
"What if the elevator catches fire?" Percy questioned.
"It won't catch fire" Annabeth replied.
"But what if it does?"
"Percy. You're the son of Poseidon" Annabeth deadpanned.
"So?" Percy asked.
"Calm down Percy." Annabeth answered, walking over to him and giving him a quick kiss on the cheek.
"Right. Calm." Percy muttered.
The next two minutes passed in silence, Percy leaning against a railing with Annabeth by his side. Annabeth had left her phone on the ground in the middle of the elevator so that they could maximise the amount of light.
"Annie" Percy whined, breaking the silence. "I'm bored"
"How can you be bored at a time like this?" Annabeth asked, dumbfounded.
"Adhd" Percy said simply. "Anyway, this is so boring. Why did the stupid elevator have to break. It couldn't have waited 2 minutes. I mean, come on. This is-"
Annabeth kissed Percy full on the lips, effectively shutting him up. Percy kissed back and they were having a full on makeout session in the broken down elevator, the only light coming from Annabeth's phone.
"Wait" Annabeth said, breaking away from the kiss "Maybe we can call Nico and he can shadow travel us out of here!"
"That's a great idea, wise girl" Percy said.
"Obviously, seaweed brain" Annabeth said with a roll of her eyes.
"Except, Nico might not help because..." Percy trailed off.
"Because what?" Annabeth asked impatiently.
"BECAUSE I'M NOT HIS TYPE" Percy yelled before breaking down into fake dramatic tears.
"It's been 2 years!" Nico exclaimed, suddenly shadow traveling into the elevator.
"Ahhhh!" both Annabeth and Percy screamed, not noticing that he was there.
"Nico. Oh, thank gods" Annabeth said. "How did you know we were here?"
"You accidentally called Piper when you were turning your flashlight on. I just so happened to be with her, Jason and Reyna when it happened." Nico explained.
"Does that mean that you heard everything?" Annabeth asked nervously.
"Yes" Nico replied bluntly.
"Great" came the reply.
Nico suddenly grabbed both Percy and Annabeth's wrists before he shadow traveled them to Olympus.
"See you suckers" Nico said when they materialized, walking away from them and towards a shadow.
"Where are you going?" Percy asked.
"Camp half blood. I need to get away from you, you're not my type" Nico smirked.
"WHYYYY?" Percy yelled dramatically.
Nico shadow travelled away, leaving Annabeth to deal with an overdramatic and hyper Percy. Annabeth rolled her eyes and resolved to never be around when Percy and Nico talk to each other, lest Nico say that Percy is not his type once more.
