It was time for the second battle of the quarterfinals, as Kasumi soon took her place on the battlefield.

Standing across from her was a trainer she had been interested in battling since she first met him during the Shadow Stripe.

And now… here she was.

As for Kazuma, he was only interested in battling Kenan but he wasn't going to lie as Kasumi had also peaked his interest as a trainer.

In any event, he was going to have fun with this battle.

"Alright folks, it is time we get ready for the second battle of the victory tournament quarterfinals! And too determine what battlefield our trainers will be fighting on today!" Freddy George Jr. said.

Soon the battlefield spinner soon spun as it's arrow soon landed on… the grass icon.

"And folks looks like we are going to be battling on the grass battlefield!" Freddy George Jr. announced much to the shock and amazement of all.

Soon the grass battlefield soon appeared as both trainers soon made their first Pokemon appear.

For Kasumi, it was Fang: Her Gliscor.

And for Kazuma, it was his Corviknight.

And soon the battle began.

"Fang, use Stone Edge!"

Fang soon tapped the ground with his tail as sharp rocks soon sprouted from the ground but Corviknight managed to dodge.

"Counter with Steel Wing Corviknight!"

Corviknight soon used Steel Wing but Kasumi soon smiled and told Fang to use X-Scissor to counter before grabbing Corviknight with his tail. Fang did that as Corviknight had nowhere to go but soon Fang threw him to the ground.

"Use Drill Peck!"

"Poison Jab!"

Soon again both attacks met but with Corviknight weakened, Fang easily won the encounter as Corviknight went to the ground weakened and out of breath.

"Finish him off with X-Scissor!"

Fang soon dove down and soon used X-Scissor to knock out Corviknight and score the first victory of the battle.

"Corviknight is unable to battle, Gliscor is the winner!" The referee said.

Kazuma was stunned, he had managed to win all of his previous battles in the tournament so easily even without losing a single Pokemon, yet Kasumi had managed to knock out his Corviknight so easily.

He knew he would need to take this more seriously.

Kasumi soon thanked Fang for his hard work before recalling him and wanting to keep him fresh. She soon sent out her second Pokemon, Kaz: her Golisopod.

Kazuma gritted his teeth knowing about Golisopod's ability and needed some firepower and he sent out his second Pokemon: Metagross.

Metagross looked ready to rumble as Kazuma soon ordered Metagross to use Flash Cannon.

Soon the attack hit Kaz, triggering Emergency Exit and sending out Nojiko, her Altaria.

"Alright then Nojiko, use Flamethrower." Kasumi said.

Nojiko soon let out a burst of flames but surprisingly Metagross was faster being able to dodge the Fire-type attack.

"Now use Psychic!" Kazuma said.

Metagross soon glowed pink as he telekinetically slammed Noijko to the ground. Nojiko tried to fight back by using Moonblast but Metagross overpowered it with Meteor Mash, dealing extra damage.

"Use Dragon Pulse!"

"Use Zen Headbutt!"

Soon both attacks collided with Metagross coming out the victory and Nojiko being knocked out.

"Altaria is unable to battle, Metagross is the winner!" The referee declared.

Kazuma smiled as the crowd cheered for him as he evened up the score.

Kasumi soon recalled Noijko thanking him for his efforts and soon looked at Metagross staying on the field.

She knew that it being a pseudo-legendary, it was strong and she needed to take it down immediately.

That is why she sent out Bankai, her Aegislash as her fourth Pokemon.

Bankai soon looked at Metagross and looked ready to clash against a fellow Steel-type.

As the battle began, Kasumi commanded Bankai to use Iron Head as Metagross used Meteor Mash as the clash sent shockwaves across the stadium. Soon Bankai use Shadow Sneak to deal extreme damage to Metagross as he started to stumble a bit.

"Alright use Flash Cannon!"

"Use King's Shield!"

Soon the attack rocketed towards Bankai who blocked it with it's shield but soon Metagross caught it off guard.

"Use Psychic!"

Soon Bankai was thrown all over the place as they were slammed against the ground for good measure once again.

"Use Swords Dance!"

Bankai tried to get up but Kazuma soon saw his chance and took it.

"Use Zen Headbutt!"

And once again Metagross rocketed forward and slammed into Bankai with absolute power, knocking it out in a single attack.

"Aegislash is unable to battle, Metagross is the winner!" The referee declared.

Kasumi was stunned, she knew Metagross was strong… but this strong? She was truly shook.

She soon recalled Bankai thanking him for his efforts and tried to get her focus back.

Soon she sent out her fifth Pokemon in the hopes of turning this battle around. Chun Li.

Her Blaziken.

Meanwhile in the locker room, Kenan was preparing for his battle against Felix when he saw someone in the locker room with a familiar Pikachu.

"Ash?" Kenan asked.

Indeed, the famous Ash Ketchum himself was here acting like a complete surprise though doubted that was the case.

"Oh hey, looks like I got lost! Would you look at that!" Ash said chuckling though clearly he was lying.

"Well it is a honor to meet you sir but what are you doing here?" Kenan asked to him.

Ash soon chuckled as he looked at Kenan. His eyes bearing tons of wisdom even if they still had the innocence of a child to them. It was something to behold.

"Well truth be told I wanted to meet you. Gary told me that you were one of the most outstanding freshman here at the academy and that got me intrigued." Ash said to him.

Kenan was surprised as he asked his next question.

"Intrigued, about what?" Kenan asked him.

Ash soon laughed as his Pikachu soon jumped off his shoulder and nuzzled Kenan's feet.

"Tell me Kenan… how would you feel about joining Project Paradox?"
