Shiori stepped into the teachers' office after being summoned. The teachers in the office gave her judgmental looks.
"Where's my wallet?" one teacher asked storming up to her. Shiori was caught off guard by the question she didn't immediately answer. "What? You didn't think you'd get caught?"
"I don't know what you're talking about," Shiori said.
"Playing dumb won't work. I know you took my wallet when the monster attacked."
Shiori now knew the teacher was lying. Before she could respond, the teacher pushed her to the ground. "I asked where is my wallet? I know you stole it." Shiori stood and glared at her. "Don't stare at me. You're such a worthless waste of space."
Shiori rolled her eyes. She wasn't worried about the accusation as there was no proof. "I'm going back to class."
"I didn't say you can leave."
"I don't care. You're a terrible excuse for a teacher and should lose your job. I know a few in here who should lose their jobs." She gazed around the room at the spectating teachers. "Sexual harassment toward students, power harassment, creepily staring at female students, false accusations of stealing." Her eyes landed on the teacher before her as she stopped talking. The teacher moved to slap her but Shiori caught her hand before she could land the hit.
"Let go of me."
"Don't touch me."
Another teacher came up behind Shiori to pull her away. It was the teacher she looked at when she listed off sexual harassment. She kicked him back while not letting go of the other teacher.
"This is assault," the teacher said.
"Keep telling yourself that," Shiori said as she punched the teacher square in the face.
Wakana got a call while in her patrol car to report to one of the many high schools in the area. The report said a student was attacking teachers which caused her to flip on the siren and rush to the school. The siren prodded the remains of her hangover but she had to endure.
By the time she arrived, a horde of students had formed in front of the office. Her partner guided them away from the door so Wakana could enter. Inside, she saw five teachers trying to surround a lone teenage girl.
One teacher climbed on the desk to overcome that barrier but the girl kicked the teacher's legs from under him and he slammed into the desks crying out in pain. Wakana could tell the girl knew how to fight.
"The police are here," one teacher said. "Arrest her. She attacked us."
"You attacked me!" the girl said. "I was defending myself."
Suddenly, the window to the outside opened and another student dove through it. He rolled onto his feet and took a defensive stance in front of the girl.
"Come on," her partner said. "You're clearly at fault for attacking the teachers."
Wakana put out a hand to stop him. "I want to hear what happened."
"That little demon spawn stole my wallet during the monster attack."
Wakana's eyes shifted from the teacher to the student. "I didn't take it, you stupid cow."
"Don't insult the teachers," Wakana's partner said.
"I know for a fact she didn't take it," Taiga said. "She was with me."
"You're just as bad as she is. You're both worthless. I'm glad you'll be gone after this."
"Calm down," Wakana said. "You're not helping the situation."
"Just do your job," the teacher said.
"I'm trying but you're interfering. Now shut up and let me do my job or I'll arrest you for obstruction in front of all the students."
"Hey, you can't say that," her partner said. Wakana shot him a venomous look. "You be quiet too. You can't read the room and are too eager to please the teachers without learning about the situation. How have you lasted this long as a cop?"
Her comments silenced everyone in the room including her partner. Wakana wasn't sure if he was stunned into silence or was so angry he couldn't speak. Either way, she didn't care. She hated people who acted that way.
Shiori and Taiga eased up as Wakana slowly approached them. She didn't act like the typical cop they regularly encountered. Wakana physically moved the teachers away. They didn't bother to protest, at least verbally.
"I didn't take her wallet," Shiori said.
"It's okay. I don't care about that. Just talk to me. Why is she blaming you of all people?"
Before Shiori could respond screams erupted from outside grabbing everyone's attention. Jipnas were attacking the school. Shiori and Taiga looked at each other before heading for the window.
"They're running away," the teacher said.
Wakana watched the two students jump out the window and engage the creatures. Some Jipnas broke windows and started entering. Wakana drew her gun.
"Get everyone out of here." Her partner didn't move. He was frozen in fear. "Damn it all." She fired at the closest Jipnas, downing everyone she hit. When she ran out of bullets she resorted to hand-to-hand combat.
After the room had cleared and the creatures were defeated, Wakana watched the two students outside fighting. A third one ran out and joined them. Wakana didn't understand why these students stayed to fight while everyone, teachers included, fled. It also didn't match how the teachers described these students. Wakana joined the three students in fighting the Jipnas.
While fending off her own opponents, Wakana saw that the three students were proficient fighters. She wondered if they were the only fighters in the school and that's why they were fighting these things. She laid out another Jipna with her baton as a male teacher ran into the chaos. She thought he was getting the students to safety but to her surprise, he joined them.
"What's going on?" Wakana asked.
Before anyone could answer her, Koiso appeared. She instinctively jumped back taking a defensive stance with her baton out in front.
"Now we've got to get out of here," Renka said. Wakana noted that a student had called for the retreat, not the teacher. The four rangers were sure they separated themselves from the police officer as they ran away. Wakana helped guide other students out of the building.
"Haruka will join us soon," Tenzo said shoving his phone into his pocket.
Seeing no one else was around, the rangers pulled out their Rekinchangers.
"REKINCHANGE!" they said in unison. Their coins glowed before enveloping them in their respective colors. The disembodied voice returned.
"REKINGER! RED RANGER! BLUE RANGER! YELLOW RANGER! BLACK RANGER!"
Haruka had transformed by the time she joined them. The five rangers leaped onto the roof and stared down their opponent.
"It's you again," Koiso said. "Who are you again?"
"Rekin Red," Renka said.
"Rekin Blue," Tenzo said.
"Rekin Yellow," Shiori said.
"Rekin Black," Taiga said.
"Rekin Pink," Haruka said.
"Rekishi Sentai Rekinger," they all said in unison while doing the same pose as the first time they all fought together.
The five of them pulled out their side arms. Its base form was a gun but once in the rangers' hands a blade in their respective colors automatically extended from below the barrel. These were their Kaiba Blades.
Koiso opened his mouth and fired a plasma beam at the rangers. They jumped down and out of the way. The beam took out the building they were standing on.
Once on the ground, they were attacked by Jipnas. Using their Kaiba Blades made the task easier. Haruka was the first to get to Koiso who slashed at her but she rolled out of the way of the attack. Taiga and Shiori jumped in landing a few hits on him before giving way to Tenzo who slashed him with his weapon. Renka came up from his blindside and kicked the monster across the face.
Koiso rolled across the ground while the rangers regrouped. Renka stood in the middle with Tenzo and Shiori on her flanks. Haruka and Taiga stood next to them. She folded in the hilt of her Kaiba Blade and held it out. Two pieces of metal extended from its sides and wrapped around reconnecting below her hand. The other rangers placed their Kaiba Blades on the metal ring. It now looked like a Gatling-style gun.
Renka pulled the trigger and the five weapons rotated around her hand as they glowed their respective colors. A moment later each weapon fired colored balls and blade-shaped energy blasts at the monster.
Koiso was bombarded with energy blasts that when it was over, what was left of his body collapsed on the ground and exploded. Renka stared at the leftover flames while the other rangers celebrated in their own way. Tenzo pumped his fist and Shiori and Taiga high-fived. Haruka remained silent as she examined her hands before crossing her arms.
Their celebration was short-lived as Antisen supporters gathered at the school groups. They shouted at the rangers for destroying a school. They threw things at the rangers before ultimately charging at them.
"That's gratitude for you," Haruka huffed.
Just like before, the Rangers easily outran their pursuers. Once in the clear, they changed back into their civilian forms.
