Yuji Itadori woke up in a dark room illuminated by various candle lights, his memory was fuzzy of the events that happened the night before but they certainly didn't lead up to him being in a place like this. He tried to get up but he couldn't move, he looked down and saw his arms and legs were being held down by various chains and being kept in handcuffs. He looked back up and in front of his face was that same blindfolded man from the other night leaning back in a chair as Yuji jumped back in his chair surprised by his sudden appearance.
The white hair man spoke to Yuji and said "Wakey wakey, rise and shine vessel. So who's in control of the body right now? You or him?"
Yuji looked confused and asked him "What… where am I? Why am I chained up? Who are you?!"
"Relax, relax I'm not gonna hurt you? Were at Beacon academy right now in a place 50 feet below campus, I didn't want to chain you up because that just seems a little weird but the vessel of Sukuna isn't exactly someone we can take lightly, and lastly you can call me Satoru Gojo and I might become your new favorite teacher, Yuji Itadori." Gojo said with a big smile on his face.
"Now I'm assuming Itadori is in control right now so tell me, what was a kid like you doing trying to steal from a SDC cargo train at the dead of night?"
"Well I needed 3 million lien to pay for a ship ticket, Beacon fees, and some other stuff so I went to my grandpa's old friend named Junior for a job and he told me to go find someone's item in a little shrine. I unwrapped that evil looking finger and a whole army of Grimm started chasing me, then I ate the finger and that's all I can remember." Yuji explained to Gojo who looked understanding of his situation.
"Money problems huh? Guessing family wasn't able to make ends meet for you to get into Beacon huh?" Gojo asked.
"My grandpa was really the only family I had left and he died not too long ago."
"Yeesh that's heavy dude, but what the hell made you decide to eat Sukuna's finger? How did it taste too because I bet that stuff must have been groooooossss."
"I can't even remember, I guess the Grimm just really wanted it for some reason? It tasted awful too like every form of expired food just put into one yucky finger oh and the nail too I can still feel it scratching my throat." Yuji told Gojo.
"Aw gross dude! Man you are a crazy kid Itadori!" Gojo said laughing about the whole thing not taking it seriously as the faint sounds of an earpiece could be heard yelling at Gojo.
"Alright alright, jeez what's with you witch, can't I have any fun with this job?" Gojo pressed the earpiece while talking to it in a playful manner.
"Who are you talking to?"
"Oh just the other teachers here, they were too nervous to talk to you so they sent the strongest to come chat with the vessel of Sukuna, say hi to the camera." Gojo pointed at a camera in the room as he gave a little wave towards it.
"Okay, who is this Sukuna guy? You mentioned this Sukuna guy a few times and I have no clue who he is or why he's so dangerous so tell me who he is!" Yuji demanded from Gojo.
"Well it's a bit of a story so let's trim down the fat a little bit. Ryomen Sukuna is one of the most dangerous men in history going back to 1000 years, he had the power to destroy an entire kingdom by himself in a matter of minutes and was made of 100% cursed aura."
"Cursed aura?" Yuji asked, confused.
"I'll get to that in a minute. Ryomen Sukuna was pure evil, so evil that history has almost no records of him because nearly everyone agreed that Sukuna should be erased from history. But not even death can stop him, it's a little secret but Sukuna learned how to cheat death and divided his soul upon 20 cursed fingers but no one was powerful enough to eat a finger and not instantly die from the amount of cursed aura one finger gives. Until you, my pink haired friend, right now you have the most evil man in history living inside you." Gojo explained to Yuji who was taking it better than probably any normal person would.
"But… how? That's some fantasy stuff right there."
"We have a little theory right now, but first cursed aura." Gojo disappeared from the room in an instant and five seconds later came back with water and vegetable oil in cups.
"Woah, where did you even go?" Yuji was amazed by how the blindfolded man was able to seemingly teleport.
"My semblance but we'll talk about that another day because it's gonna make your head explode. Now in this cup of water is regular aura and this cup of vegetable oil is cursed aura. Now what most people don't know is that nearly everyone has cursed aura but it's just a tiny drop." Gojo told Yuji putting a single drop of vegetable oil in the water cup.
"Now some individuals have a lot of cursed aura and let's just say compared to normal aura, it's like putting a Lancer next to a Wyvern, it's super dangerous and a Huntsman who has a basic understanding of cursed aura is practically equal to 20 regular Huntsmen. I'd like to teach you more about it but I got a class to teach you all about it." He poured the remaining vegetable oil into the water cup as the vegetable oil floated above the water.
"Now usually a person with cursed aura looks like this, lots of normal aura and some cursed aura but in your case you added Sukuna's finger to the equation and so this happened." Gojo using his finger stirred the water and vegetable oil together and they blended together "Sukuna blended together with your aura and permanently tainted it. So to put it simply his soul resides within you and you now have %100 cursed aura." Gojo said with a big goofy grin on his face while Yuji looked up at him confused by the little science lesson Gojo performed.
"So… is it like I'm possessed or something? Am I gonna start turning my head all the way around and start climbing all over the walls?" Yuji asked Gojo clearly worried about it but Gojo found it funny.
"No you should be fine, in fact it's pretty remarkable that you're able to suppress Sukuna at all, you must be one tough cookie Yuji. But while I think you make perfect Huntsman material unfortunately everyone else doesn't, they say you're more of a hazard than any other Grimm in the history of the world and the threat of Sukuna is too dangerous to be let out. We were even gonna have you executed."
Yuji tensed up hearing that but he didn't say a word about it.
"But I'm a cool teacher so I made a little suggestion, I teach you how to fully control your cursed aura and you can eat the other 20 fingers of Sukuna, then we kill you. So either die now, or become a Huntsman to help us get rid of the other fingers, then die."
"So I'm gonna die either way huh?" Yuji asked Gojo.
"Plain and simple, quick and painless if everything goes just as planned."
"I'll do it, my grandpa wanted me to use my strength to protect people and I never wanted anything more than to go to Beacon Academy. So whatever you need I'll do it, I'll destroy 100 Grimm and eat as many fingers as you want just please let me help people." Yuji said to Gojo as the pink-haired teen wasn't shaken by the thought of death in the slightest as Gojo smiled hearing his answer and with a snap of his fingers the binds that kept Yuji in place were destroyed.
"Congratulations Yuji, you've now been promoted to the special grade course of Beacon Academy where I'll be teaching you and others how all about cursed aura." He took out a pamphlet with a cute chibi version of Gojo on the cover. "You can read up on this about all the extra details and benefits of becoming a part of the special grade course. Now let's get you home so you can start packing buddy and don't worry about your little money problems, I got you covered man."
A week after that whole interrogation it was the first day of Beacon Academy and Yuji was stoked to say the very least as he watched from the airship window the city of Vale from up above. He's never traveled by airship before since he never had the money to travel anywhere by vehicle in general, he had a child-like wonder watching the various airships fly towards Beacon and it's still hard to believe he actually made it in the first place.
On that same airship was Nobara Kugisaki who watched Yuji stare out the window and couldn't shake the feeling something was off about him and it wasn't starting to make her skin crawl.
But her thoughts would be interrupted by the surprise appearance of a certain blonde friend of hers pulling her attention away from the pink-haired vessel. "Nobaraaaaaa!"
The redhead looked at Yang and greeted her best friend doing her explosive handshake with the blondie "What's up Fisticuffs, you ready for the next four years of our lives?!"
"You know it! But I got a little surprise for you!" Yang stepped to the side revealing Ruby Rose was with her as Nobara was confused on what Yang's little sister was doing on an airship to Beacon.
"Yang I know you are a little over protective of your little sister but you can't smuggle her into Beacon."
"Nobara I'm not over protective! Tell her Ruby!" Yang said, looking at Ruby.
"Well one Nobara is right about that first part but professor Ozpin personally let me join Beacon early!" Ruby said with the news making Nobara's jaw drop.
"You gotta be kidding me congrats Little Red Riding Hood!" Nobara congratulated Ruby while Yang hugged her little sister tight while Nobara messed up her hair "You're finally one of the big girls now, Yang they just grow up so fast nowadays."
"You're absolutely right Nobara, it feels like yesterday when she first started going to Signal I'm just so proud of her!" Yang said, almost suffocating Ruby in her arms.
"Pwe...ase schtop..." Ruby said with a mixture of being choked and embarrassment as she pushed her way from Yang's arms.
"I thought you'd be a little more pumped about going to Beacon with your two big sisters?" Nobara asked Ruby.
"I mean I just wanna be normal y'know, I skipped 2 years to get here and I don't want people to think I'm special."
"Why not? You got into Beacon off recommendation alone, you should own it, you gotta walk around like you're the most important girl in the room otherwise people are gonna treat you like a kid."
"It's just not that easy Nobara, I don't have that confidence you have..."
"So make that confidence Ruby Rose! You're gonna come out of this school as the coolest girl in the damn world! But not as cool as me of course." Nobara said putting a hand on Ruby's shoulder as the red hooded girl looked a little less stressed.
"What do you mean big sisters Nobara, the only sister Ruby's got is me." Yang said in a competitive tone.
"Oh please, half of the time you call me is to take care of Ruby. I might as well be her second sister." She made an exaggerated impression of Yang " Oh Nobara please babysit Ruby for me, oh Nobara please help with Ruby's homework, oh Nobara can you grab some cookies for Ruby on the way to my place!" She said making fun of Yang as Ruby pulled her hood over her face embarrassed by Yang and Nobara.
The two girls from Patch argued with Ruby trying to calm them down as the three of them settled down when they looked at the news. A news broadcast told a story about the White Fang turning a peaceful faunus civil rights protest to a violent one after members of the White Fang began to join in the protest. Megumi watched the news broadcast from the back of the ship as hearing the name White Fang soured his mood, Megumi didn't even have any personal connections to the organization but he's disgusted by pointless violence that has tarnished the faunus perception in the public eye rather than make it better. It makes him even ashamed to be recognized as a faunus himself.
Upon the airship landing, students walking out onto the Beacon campus with Nobara along with her friends were in awe of the campus grounds and how large it was compared to Signal. But they would be pushed past by a boy who was off towards a trash can who seemed to have motion sickness as he hurled into the nearest trash can. Nobara could only chuckle at that, not bothered with being pushed past "How do we have a guy throwing up on the first day, that's just crazy."
"Yo Nob, you got a little green on your shoe." Yang told Nobara as she looked down at her sneakers to see a small bit of throw up had landed them. Just a few drops worth but to Nobara, these shoes cost almost 30000 Lien and she was up until 12am to get them. Her face went from a happy one to one that meant death for the vomit boy. "He's dead."
"Yang, why did you have to tell her!?" Ruby said scared for the blonde motion sick boy as when it comes to clothes with Nobara its life and death.
"Because I find it hilarious." Yang said giggling.
Nobara walked up to the blonde who just got finished and was starting to feel better. That's until probably the most terrifying creature came up to him and grabbed him by the collar. "You threw up on my favorite pair of sneakers…"
"Yang let's go before we witness a murder!" Ruby said pulling her sister by the arm away from Nobara as Yang resisted wanting to see what she would do.
"I didn't mean to! H-honest!" The motion sick boy said pleading for his life as Nobara was gonna commit a murder on her first day at Beacon until a certain pink haired boy came and attempted to defuse the situation.
"Hey you're mad about your shoes, I got some wet wipes." Yuji Itadori said with a little box of wet wipes in his hand offering it to Nobara. "It's just some shoes, no need to be violent about just some shoes."
Nobara was even more mad at that statement and given that if there weren't people around she would have committed a double murder but she started to calm down and swiped the box of wet wipes away from Yuji. "Whatever! Don't show your face around me again vomit boy it will be the last one you see." Nobara cleaned up her shoes and tossed the box back to Yuji then walked away.
"Thanks man, I thought I was gonna die there. It's Jaune Arc by the way." The blonde motion sick boy said thanking Itadori.
"Yuji Itadori, it's no problem at all. Motion sickness huh?"
"Well… I ate a big breakfast before I got on board so that's probably why that happened hehe…"
"Hey man I get it, whenever I'm in a science class I feel like wanting to throw up too. Especially molecular science."
"Molecular Science makes you sick?"
"Yeah it just feels weird to learn that stuff you know?" Yuji told Jaune as it was certainly strange to say the least.
"What are we still standing around for? Come on we got all this campus to walk around on let's go!" Yuji said, bolting off to enjoy all the free space that the campus had with Jaune running after him not wanting to be left behind.
Back with Ruby and Yang the younger sister was geeking out over weapons from the various students. "Oh that one has a gun lance! That guy has a chainsaw! So many cool weapons!"
"Chill out Ruby, they're just weapons." Yang said, trying to calm her sister down.
"Just weapons?! Yang weapons are an extension of ourselves, they are a part of us, they're just so cool!"
"You well why don't you go make yourself some friends so you can talk about those weapons. If you put as much energy into trying to make some friends instead of geeking out about weapons you'd be popular in no time."
"But why would I need to make friends if I have you and Nobara?"
"Yo Yang! I heard Coco Adel was here at Beacon today, we gotta go see her, I need a picture with her!" Nobara said running past Ruby and leaving her in the dust pulling Yang along as Ruby spun around in a cartoony like tornado for a second then getting dizzy. "Wait where are you two going?! Don't leave me here!" Ruby shouted but Nobara and Yang were already long gone as the safety that Ruby felt around Yang was gone and she was like a lost puppy looking around and slowly walking around.
Yuji and Jaune were still talking together as Yuji certainly was an interesting boy to say the least. Yuji was climbing up on structures around the campus and even when Jaune told him that he probably shouldn't be doing that. But Yuji claimed he was enjoying the freedom of being at Beacon, but he did jump down after a little bit to keep talking to Jaune. "You are… certainly athletic Yuji, are you some kind of sports player or something?"
"Nah I'm not a fan of sports, I'll watch them but I kinda just fall asleep to them and I really like watching anything else on TV. The coach at my old school always tried so hard to get me to join the sports team but why waste my time on sports when I can watch TV in my freetime." Yuji told Jaune having his arms behind his head
"So you're telling me you are just naturally that fast?" Jaune asked.
"Doctors always said I had a weird body, I'm kinda just naturally tough I guess, like watch this." Yuji grabbed Jaune's attention as he looked at a stone pillar and with a strong punch he smashed through the stone which startled the tall blonde making him afraid of Yuji. "What the?! W-wow you weren't kidding, just don't punch me or anything." Jaune said, nervous at his immense strength.
"What? I'd never punch any of my friends on purpose, I'd probably break something and I'd feel really bad about it. Only thing I'm gonna be punching is Grimm, that's what my gramps would want me to do." Yuji said comforting Jaune as Yuji wouldn't want to hurt anyone.
Jaune was about to ask Yuji about that last part but he would be interrupted when the two of them would hear an explosion behind them as Yuji looked behind him as he saw a cloud of smoke with various dust elements being visible in the cloud. Yuji immediately ran to the explosion as he feared the worst, thinking someone could have gotten hurt as he left Jaune in the dust. When he got close the dust cloud cleared and he would see Ruby along with a girl dressed in mostly white dress with hints of red. She also had long white hair that was put in a ponytail and it reminded him a little bit of Gojo, it was probably dyed or something. "You are just unbelievable, do you know how expensive this stuff is?! Why is a young girl like you even at this school, you look to young to be here?"
"I'm really sorry I didn't mean it honestly!" Ruby tried to apologize but the white-haired girl was not having it.
Yuji decided to help out by picking up her scattered luggage thanks to the explosion as Weiss noticed him picking up her stuff and asked him "Excuse me sir what do you think you're doing?"
"I'm helping you pick up your stuff, it doesn't look broken so no reason to be mad about a little bump." Yuji said stacking the cases on top of eachother and as he got to the last one he had a little trouble picking up another case until Megumi came and stacked the last case for Yuji "Thanks buddy!" he told him as Megumi didn't say anything. Yuji put the luggage on the cart and asked "Is that all of it?"
"Yes it is, at least some people have the decency to show me some recognition." The white hair girl said.
"I don't really know who you are though, I just wanted to help." Yuji said, tilting his head as no bells were ringing about who she was.
"She's Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee Dust Company and one of the biggest providers of dust to the 4 kingdoms, that is also well known for its shady business practices with faunus and controversial business partners." A girl with black hair in a white and black outfit wearing a big bow on her head informed Yuji about the white haired girl.
"Oooooh so she's kinda like a princess then! Thanks smart bow girl!" Yuji said to the girl as she ignored his thanks.
Weiss scoffed and took off not wanting to talk to the three anymore as Ruby yelled "I promise I'll make it up to you!"
Ruby sighed in disappointment at the scene she caused, then looked back to talk as the girl with the black bow on her head left in the other direction and Yuji waved "Thanks for calming her down, I thought she was gonna be yelling at me for hours."
"It's all cool, I thought someone got hurt when I heard an explosion so what happened?"
"My sister and her best friend left me because she wanted to go find this one famous girl, now I have no one talk with and I got really scared, I spun around and got dizzy which made me land on that rich girl's luggage, she got super mad at me and started waving dust in my face, I sneezed and it caused a big explosion, and I'm just ready to go to our dorms and sleep already!" Ruby whined as Yuji just had a straight face hearing that.
"Wow that sucks, well we can talk or something if it makes you feel better, I'm Yuji Itadori!" Yuji said with a big smile on his face.
"Really?! Oh my gosh finally someone nice, my name is Ruby Rose, what weapon do you use? Is your hair dyed? Does this mean we are friends now?!" Ruby said very hyperactive.
"Well I kinda lost my weapon back in the Forever Fall Forest a week ago, they were some brass knuckles because that was all I really could afford but I'm strong enough without them, my hair is natural, and sure we are." Yuji answered, not bothered by the quirkiness of Ruby Rose.
Megumi was about to leave until he heard that part about the Forever Fall Forest, he closed his eyes and began to sense Yuji as he saw outlines of aura with Ruby's being a pure white one while Yuji's was an intense dark color that made Fushiguro have goosebumps. Megumi walked up to Yuji and placed a hand on his shoulder grabbing his attention. "Yuji Itadori, may I please speak to you in private, it's of the utmost importance."
"Huh? I don't even know your name man?" Yuji asked as Ruby felt intimidated by Megumi acting all serious and it made her think Yuji was in some sort of trouble.
"Megumi Fushiguro of the special grade students, I need to speak with you while we still have time."
"Well nice to meet you Megumi, yeah sure we can talk. Sorry to cut this short Ruby but I got some utmost important stuff to talk about apparently." Yuji told his new friend as Itadori and Fushiguro walked away from the silver eyed girl as she looked even more defeated now.
Megumi brought Yuji to a private area behind some trees where no one would see them. He had a serious look on his face that made him look as if he was angry Yuji "So what do you wanna talk to me about? Should I know who you are?
"Just what the hell are you Itadori, you got cursed aura coming out of you like it's a nuclear power plant. There's not even a hint of regular aura coming out of you, but Gojo said that there would only be 3 first years in the special grade this year, me and 2 girls. And that part about Forever Fall, the Forever Fall Forest is off limits to civilians without proper authorization and a week ago I was sent to go do a mission in Forever Fall and what I was after just magically disappeared. So what's your deal Itadori?" Megumi asked with his hands ready to summon one of his Ten Shadows Grimm if Yuji gave him a bad answer.
"Well I am a part of the special grade course, Gojo let me in a week ago after got some finger of this Sukuna guy."
Megumi's eyes widened with his pupils the size of a pin. "Then you must have taken the special grade object, please hand it over."
"Can't, I ate it."
Megumi's whole world just flipped upside down as he wasn't informed about any of this. He couldn't make heads or tails about Yuji, someone ate one of the most powerful objects in existence and stood right in front of him like he isn't the vessel of the most evil man in existence. "Just what the hell are you Yuji Itadori?!"
