Husk spent the entire afternoon crying until he wore himself out and fell asleep on my chest. I wasn't used to being someone else's snot rag but seeing Husk hurt as much as he did was heartbreaking. In the moment I was willing to do whatever it took to soothe his pain. If I got snot all over me so be it, it'll wash out. Ordinarily this wouldn't be my mindset but it's different when it comes to Husk.

We've grown so close over the past year that his pain literally felt like my own pain and I knew he felt the same way about me. I just laid there holding him in my arms and watched over him while he slept. It stayed that way until he woke up later in the evening. He stretched out in a typical cat like manner and yawned before looking up at me, "Angel... have you been watching me sleep this whole time?" I brushed my fingers through his hair and kissed his head, "I just wanted to be here in case you had a nightmare or something."

He smiled up at me and pulled my lips to his, "grazie." I raised an eyebrow up at him, "for what?" He placed a hand on my waist, "for being here... when I needed you most." I closed my eyes and kissed his lips, "per te amore mio; sempre." He smiled and nuzzled his nose into my neck purring.

I looked down at him and smiled, "there's still some leftover pizza and wings in the fridge from the other night, you wanna come downstairs with me and get something to eat? You could use some food in your stomach after all the drink you've had." He smiled and swayed his tail in the air back and forth. "Can we bring it up here and watch a movie together while we eat?" I kissed him on the lips and smiled, "anything for you, mi amore."

He got up out of bed and offered me his hand. I took it and then we walked downstairs. When we got downstairs we noticed that everyone else seemed to be gone except for Nifty and Alastor. "Heya, Nift! How's it going?"

She sprints over to us with a huge grin on her face, "I'm great! Just catching mother bugs!" She pulls out a knife with a crazed look in her eyes. I gripped Husk's hand tighter and grinned apprehensively, "well... Uh, have fun with that." We then turned and quickly walked off to the kitchen.

We went through the fridge and pulled out some food and warmed up our plates in the microwave and I poured ourselves a couple glasses of water. Ordinarily I probably would have opted for a soda but I wanted to make sure Husk was hydrated plus, I figured it wouldn't hurt if I got a little hydration in for myself. After microwaving our food we take our plates and our water and head upstairs to our room. We sat our plates and glasses of water on the nightstands and I reached over and grabbed the tv remote. "So, what movie do you want to watch," I asked him flipping through the list of movies on the tv.

Husk thought for a moment before sitting up on the bed and answering, "how about, 'It's a Wonderful Life?'" I raised an eyebrow and selected the movie on the screen, "hmm... I don't think I've ever seen that movie before." He shrugged his shoulders and grabbed his plate of pizza, "well, it did come out shortly after you died." I shrugged my shoulders before leaning back against my headboard and wrapping an upper arm around his shoulders. He leaned back on the headboard with me and laid his head on my shoulder.

"Is it any good," I asked before taking a bite out of my pizza with my other hand. He shrugged taking a sip of his water, "I think it is but, I guess you'll have to watch and find out." I shrugged and looked at the screen and watched the movie. After about an hour and a half the movie was over and I reached over with the remote and turned the tv off and wrapped my arms around Husk's waist and kissed him on the lips, he chuckled and sat his plate down on his night stand before wrapping his arms around me. I take his hat and placed it on my head, "Husky?"

"Hmm...," he asked gazing up at me with his golden eyes. " 'You want me to give you the moon? Just say the word and I'll throw a lasso around it and pull her down for ya.' " He chuckled up at me and pulled my face down to his lips, "I'll take it." I grinned and kissed him on the lips two more times.

He runs his hand down my cheek and then down to my shoulder. "So I take it you liked the movie," he asked smiling at me. I run a set of hands down his chest, "oh, Husky I loved it!" He smiled at me, "I thought you might." I smiled back at him and laid my head down on his chest. "Angel?"

I lifted my head up off of his chest and looked down into his eyes, "yes, Husky?" "Angel,... I want to try and quit drinking and gambling. I— I lost so much because of my addictions. I know it won't be easy but,... I want this and I want you and not just for tonight or for the next day or the day after that." I smiled down at him, "what are you saying, Husky?"

"Well, what I'm trying to say is that I want to try and start over. I want a chance at a fresh start and I want you to be there with me. Will you help me?" I smiled and kissed him on the lips passionately, "of course, Daniel. I'll be there for you until the end of our afterlives."

He smiled and kissed me back, "we should probably get some sleep now." I smiled down at him, "I can agree to that." We got up out of bed and brushed our teeth and then went to bed and fell fast asleep.
