Chapter 36
"He has done far better than anyone could expect, then again, that's uncle Toshi for you…" Calypso sat the family down as she went over everything with them. Her uncle just had another check up, and due to the situation and the rarity, he is to have a check up once a week.
"My master has stated that he is without a doubt a very healthy young dragon. He has done everything right thus far, and we have been continuing to adapt to his needs as they alter. Correct?" she asked.
"After he recovered from his trimester feast, we took him out to get dumplings a short while after… at the same time, I realized what has been troubling the divine when we dine out… I… haven't gained weight." Syrax said in a shameful voice.
"Aunt Syrax, that is fixable, once more great uncle has had his hand in this. No doubt he has casted a delusion on you and the others so if this does happen again, what you are to be doing may be forgotten."
"So he is trying to set us up for failure?" demanded Junpei. "Bastard…"
"At any rate, we still have time to help Aunt Syrax make weight. I'm glad this was brought up ahead of time, since she is now aware of it, the curse is dispelled from her." Calypso explained.
Her uncle Eso sighed aloud. "Remind me I need to prepare snacks for Sukuna…" he muttered.
"Why?" the brothers asked.
"He was the one who brought it to our attention." Syrax explained. "I think Suguru tried to hint towards him but was being sensitive about it… Ryomen Sukuna could care less how I feel or if it offends me… but he is as blunt as ever."
Calypso smiled rather proudly. "My sensei maybe harsh and abrupt, but he offers great wisdom one would not obtain otherwise" she said gently. "I'll assist you uncle in the snack making."
"So, so far, so good right?" asked uncle Noranso.
She nodded. "Uncle Toshi is about to start his second trimester soon, it happened faster since he has been well taken care of. We have determined that comfort, stress and food are great indications as to how well Uncle will do and we are making notes for when the others have their chance."
She saw smiles all around her. Her uncles held the hand of their respective partners, they are all willing to do this for them. Calypso has never seen such solidarity in other dragons like this. "So, I do suggest we get uncle out a little more, he may need some sun. Outside is an excellent place too for the young, there is much we need to learn about this, but so far. If the children are tended to well and protected, they will grow beyond expectation."
With the meeting finished, Calypso turned to her father and was about to speak, until Uncle Junpei called. "Let's go to the beach! We haven't been since Yuuji got turned into a baby dragon…"
"Oh? That would be a good outing for Toshi…" Choso said offhandedly.
"In fact sea air will be greatly beneficial for uncle, as well as a new location, he would greatly benefit from that." Calypso explained.
"Then it's settled, let us tell the others. We shall be going to the beach… perhaps in a few days, we need to make many preparations…"
"I'll go tell Uba!" Junpei cheered.
They divided themselves up and made the arrangements. Calypso only smiled though since when a plan involves someone else… they are usually the last to know about it around here…

"You serious?"
Yuuji was sat down by Yuko. She told him of the odd encounter that they had out of the domain, but the fact was Kiyoshi explained the whole situation. "Dad, the thing is, these sorcerers… as they explained themselves… the only lie they said was part of their name."
He was taken aback a little. "The only lie was part of their name? But everything else is truth?" he asked curiously.
"It's weird, I know dad. But I heard everything, even the tone they spoke to us in… it wasn't a harsh, do what we say sort of thing… it was very respectable."
Yuko nodded to this. "They never cornered me, they never threatened the children and I with any harm. They kept a respectable distance and I wasn't undermined… knowing what you deal with, Yuuji and hearing how other sorcerers spoke to you. They sound rather reasonable."
"Silver tongues…" he muttered.
This was all too good to be true. Yuuji felt himself shutter at the notion that sorcerers are brash enough to approach his family in broad daylight! He also knows sorcerers who would have such a gift to use against others… a certain King of Curses happens to be one of them. He can speak in such a tone that you would believe him, he can talk as if his notion is the best out of any other. He will convince you that the offer he makes is best suited to you than himself…
He won't fall for that.
"I don't trust this, how is it that we destroyed the schools and yet they rebuild Kyoto that quickly?" he asked.
"I don't like it either dad, but at the same time, there's a part of me saying there is something important there. No danger, I don't have any of that… but something is there…" Kiyoshi explained.
He sighed to this. "Perhaps we need to speak with Yua and the others about this?"
"I think it's a good idea," Yuko said. "Honestly… I am tempted"
"Yuko?!"
"Same here," came out of Kiyoshi. "If anything, I would be the better option to go. The board is still on mom's case about me leaving school despite what happened. So if this can shut them up. I don't see the harm."
He sighed to this, maybe this could be an option?
Despite the fact the twins are learning from Sukuna, they only do so since Kiyoshi is there. At the same time, as much as he doesn't want his children to learn from him… he has been a good teacher.
"Let's go speak with Yua." Yuuji said with a sigh.
