My alarm clock sounds and I let out a groan. Last night was one of those nights where the medication I was prescribed for my addictions and mental illnesses was rearing its ugly head at me. I wasn't entirely sure why I was throwing up so much or why the acidic taste in my mouth wouldn't disappear. The only thing I could think of was that I must not have ate enough at dinner time to suppress the side effects. I stretched my hands out over my head before leaning down and giving Angel a kiss on the cheek and carefully and quietly climbing out of bed so that I don't wake him up.

I get dressed in my usual trousers with suspenders and grab my bow tie and hat off of the nightstand and head to the bathroom. While in there, I combed my hair and slicked it back before brushing my teeth. After I brushed my teeth, I fed Fat Nuggets his breakfast and then sat down and wrote a note for Angel so that he'd know that I was out.

'Hey Webs,

Just wanted to let you know that I have a few errands that I need to run today with Charlie and Vaggie. I'm not sure how long it'll take for me to take care of things but I'll be back as soon as I can. Also, I already fed Fat Nuggets his breakfast so you don't need to worry about feeding him this morning. However, he may need his teeth brushed or a bath or something because he's smelling extra, 'piggy' to me if you know what I mean. Be home soon. Love you.

Feeling satisfied with my letter I take it and place it on the nightstand next to his phone, grabbed my wallet and reading glasses, and then walked out being careful to shut the door behind me quietly. I get downstairs and meet Charlie and Vaggie out in the lobby in front of the bar. "Good morning, Husk," Charlie says waving at me. Vaggie looking more dead than alive this morning nodded her head to me and waved, "hey, Husk." I waved back at her and smirked, "I guess you're not a morning person, huh?"

She shook her head and stuffed her hands into her pocket. Charlie wrapped an arm around her shoulder, "so do you think it's okay if we stop by and grab some breakfast and coffee first?" I nodded my head, "that's part of the reason I thought we'd meet out here in the lobby at 8. The jeweler's doesn't open until 9." They both nodded their heads and I followed them out of the main entrance.

Considering that I had plans to propose to Angel out on the hotel balcony, we had a bunch of groceries that we had to grab after our trip to the jewelry store so ultimately, we decided that we were going to drive around in Charlie's car today. She opened the door to the driver's seat, Vaggie climbed into the passenger seat beside her and I got into the back seat. We drove through the city until we reached, 'Penny's Diner.' Charlie parked the car and then we got out and walked into the restaurant. We're lead to a table by the window which is facing the, 'Long Black Train tracks.'

The server arrived promptly and luckily we were all so fucking hungry that it didn't take too long for us to place our orders. A few minutes later and the server arrived with our drinks. Charlie took a sip of her orange juice before clearing her throat to speak, "so what are some of the places that we have to go to today?" I take a sip of my black coffee, "so first, we need to go to the jewelry store since I can foresee that trip taking a while. Then after that we need to pick up some decorations and shit from Hellmart.

After that we need to go get some ingredients that Nifty and Alastor said that they needed for the Italian recipes. Then finally we can stop by the McHellen's drive through and grab lunch before returning back to the hotel." Vaggie takes a sip of her mocha, "so how is Alastor planning to keep Angel distracted the entire time that we're out and about?" I set down my coffee just in time for the servers to start bringing out our food orders, "Alastor told me that there was this show premiering at the Pentagram city theater that he had bought tickets for. After that Alastor said that he was going to take Angel out dancing and then maybe after that he would take him out to grab lunch on the way back to the hotel."

Vaggie picked up her knife and fork and started cutting into her breakfast, "aren't you a bit concerned about Angel being out alone with Alastor?" I take a bite out of my bacon and shake my head while chewing and swallowing, "no, not really. Alastor is asexual and aromatic so I know he wouldn't be interested in trying anything. Also, I trust Angel. He has no reason to hit on other guys ever since we've killed Valentino."

Charlie nodded her head in agreement, "yeah maybe I forgot to tell you about it, honey but Rosie had joked about it a while back that he was, 'an ace in the hole.' " Vaggie nodded her head and then took a sip of her mocha. After a while we finished up our breakfast before paying for our food and heading back out to the car. We all got into the car and drove to the jewelry store. I really liked how friendly the last jeweler was that helped me to pick out Angel's locket so I decided to go back there to find Angel's ring.

Charlie jumps out of the car and clasps her hands together, "oh my gosh!! I can't believe we're actually here to help you pick out engagement rings!!" I rolled my eyes but grinned at Charlie's comment. I stepped inside the jewelry store and we went up to the jewelry counter,"good morning, is Ms. Jessie Hart available today?" The kind gentleman smiled and said that she was here and asked that we wait for him to come back with her.

A few minutes passed and Jessie approached me at the counter, "oh, Hello Sir! Welcome back to, 'Love in My Hart.' How can I help you today?" I smiled and gestured with my hands a few times, "yes well, my boyfriend and I have been together for quite some time now and so I'm wanting to pop the question." She clasped her hands in excitement, "oh my!

A wedding proposal! Ring shopping is my favorite! Just follow me back here to this display." The three of us followed Jessie to a display counter in the back. "Now was there anything in particular that you were looking for or any particular price range?" I shook my head, "I don't have a budget in mind but as far as what I'm looking for in terms of appearance, I'd say that I am looking for a ring that has a pink center stone.

As far as everything else is concerned, I'm not entirely sure." She nodded her head knowingly, "well one thing that can be helpful when choosing a ring is choosing a stone that has a specific meaning to it. Before I pull out some selections I'm going to give you a card that gives you a list of information about the pink stones we have here. I nodded my head and accepted the card from her. I placed my reading glasses on my face before reading the card:

After I read the card, I noticed that Jessie had pulled out about 15 different ring selections. I hand the card over to Vaggie and Charlie to read as I stepped closer to the counter to examine each selection.

Each ring had a description card that went with it. Ultimately, I decided that the meaning of each stone was going to play a huge role in the set that I chose. I wanted something that was going to show my commitment to Angel and that my love was never ending. Yet at the same time, I wanted something that represented hope and luck for our union. After a lot of discussion and deliberation with the ladies, I've finally made a decision on the perfect ring for Angel.

I purchased the ring, certification, and insurance policy for the ring and then exited the store to head off to Hellmart to finishing up on the rest of our shopping.
