BREAKING NEWS!
"We interrupt this program for a special report."
The single horned newscaster, his face distraught, gulped as he began the news report.
"The Heights Alliance dorms of UA…have been destroyed."
The scene then flashed to the once large apartment complex at UA, now reduced to rubble. Small iceburgs, puddles of water and most horrifying of all, compartments of a train were all that could be seen.
"Details are still vague at this point, but as Endeavour and America's Jet Falcon and Equinox defeated a Nomu, another villain, this one a warping Quirk, summoned a passenger train into the building during what the Pros on the scene and several students believe to have been a kidnapping attempt."
Civilians, now wrapped in blankets are calmed by Midnight's quirk, were either being escourted onto ambulances, taxis or resting.
"Luckily, thanks to the efforts of classes 1A and 1B, along with several visiting students of Kirby's High school of Heroics, all civilians were saved."
The classes in question, now joined by Izuku and Ocachko, were seen helping out where they could.
"The villain had snuck inside and was discovered by my classmate, Sero Hanata." Fumikage explained to the newscaster. "We descended upon, he panicked and…well…"
All Fumikage could do was motion to the wreckage.
Momo, being held by Shoto and with along red along her mouth from her tape gag and bandages on her arms and legs, tried to explain:
"The League of Villains and the Guild of America were after a little girl we've been taking care of after my classmate, Deku, saved her from the creators of a Quirk destroying drug. I was blindsided by Himiko Toga, who made claims that the girl's Quirk and my own were needed for their plans, but that they needed minute amounts."
The scene then returned to the newscaster.
"The little girl in question was out with two other students at the time of the attack. But while the villains may not have achieved their target, they did not leave empty handed. Warning; the following footage may be unsettling and worrying for some."
The scene then cut to a video, shot by a phone. It showcased someone who looked like the Spot, but his colors were inversed, suddenly appearing in between Bobby, Izuku, Riley, Ochakco and Eri and Cyan. The distress in the area muted most of the sound, but the newcomer reached for the two little girls, ill intent clear…
Before suddenly grabbing Bobby instead when the four hero students had leapt to defend the children and vanishing into thin air.
"The missing boy, one Bobby Walken, was third place at the San Francisco 'Tournament of Titans' earlier this year. At this moment, no ransom demands have been met. We shall keep you posted as more details become available. Stay safe and have a good day."
The news report then ended.
To be continued…
I am so, so, sorry for taking so long to update! This is not what I had in mind for this chapter, but you have all shown the story so much love and support that I felt the need to update.
Originally, the whole attack would've been seen, with 1B getting a chance to shine as they helped save not obly their fellow students, but as you can read, the passengers on the train. Yui, Sestuna and Kuroi are standout heroes in this event, and the idea had been for this event to drill into Monoma's head that NO, 1A are NOT glory hounds, they have been fighting for their lives.
And to show that beyond, any doubt, the villains of this story mean business.
Sadly, I cannot find the words do to the act justice, and with the most recenty X-Men 97 episode and the memories/meaning behind it, I thought it might be in poor taste. Maybe I'm overthinking, let me know.
If/when the words come for this chapter come to me, I will post this event as a one-shot.
The next chapter will be a proper chapter, and while maybe not action heavy, will showcase the depths (both good and bad) of Puppetress and Colonel Cash.
Until then, stay warm, safe and have a good day!
