"Alex?" The younger Kara asked seeing her cousin's eyes were open.

"Kara?" Alex croaked.

"Hey, how are you feeling?" Kara asked passing her some ice chips.

"Okay. I guess. Where am I?"

"Lena's lab."

"Why? What happened?"

"You were poisoned." Kara said.

"I was? Why are you looking at me like that?"

"This is normally where you pass out again." Kara said.

"We've had this conversation before?"

"Yeah. But you asking, that is a first, so that's progress." The younger Kara smiled.

"Where's mom?" Alex asked noticing her mother was missing.

"Umm, well she's out looking for the people who did this to you. But up until a short while ago, she'd been with you since you collapsed. She barely ate or slept for nearly three weeks."

"Three weeks?" Alex asked confused.

"Yeah."

"If she hasn't slept why is she out there?" Alex asked.

"To stop it happening again." Kara said trying not to lie or make her cousin worry. "But right now you need to focus on you. So how about you try eating?" She asked.

"Not hungry." Alex said realising something was wrong. "I've got to go." Alex said getting off the bed.

"Go where? You have just woken from a coma." Her cousin reminded her.

"I'm fine. All better." Alex said leaving the lab stumbling as she went.

"More convincing if you could walk in a straight line." Kara said hurrying after her.

"I'm okay." Alex said walking into another lab.

"Alex?" Mel said seeing her.

Turning Matt jumped up before rushing over to her and hugging her.

"I thought you were- I'm so glad you are okay." Matt said holding her tightly. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine."

"But we should get you looked at by Grandma." Kara said.

"Or at least sitting down." Matt said guiding her to a chair.

"I'm fine." Alex said before seeing the television screen and seeing her mother destroy a building. "What's going on? What's wrong with mom?"

"Short version is she's a little ticked about what happened to you." MJ said.

"A little?" Alex asked. "Why is no one stopping her?" When no one answered she looked at MJ and asked. "What's going on?"

"No one can reach her." MJ confessed. "She's kinda lone wolfing it."

"Why?"

"You were nearly killed." Martin reminded her.

"She's going to kill someone." Alex said watching the screen.

"Before you do something stupid, you should rest." Kara said.

"Is she on Red-K?" Alex said watching the screen.

"Wouldn't her suit have stopped that?" Jane asked.

"Maybe." Alex said watching the news. "Wait is that Lobo?"

"Alex, you need to rest." Kara said.

"I am. But you are right."

"She is?" MJ asked suspiciously.

"Yeah." Alex said before looking at Jane and asking. "Your method for increasing my energy levels is that here?"

"You mean the suit? Yeah, the latest prototype was built here." Jane said. "It's in the other lab if you want to see it."

"Wait." Martin said. "Why do you really want that suit?"

"To replenish my energy." Alex said.

"Not to do something stupid?"

"What could I do? That fight is over two hundred miles away." Alex pointed out.

"So we doing this?" Jane asked.

"Yes." Alex said.

"She's up to something." MJ said watching them leave.

"Yes, but what?" Martin asked.

"No idea, but I have a bad feeling." Kara said before looking at Matt and saying. "You need to figure it out."

"Why me?"

"You're her boyfriend. I'm sure you can be very persuasive."

"I'm going." Matt said leaving the lab.

"I'll get grandma or Lena." Kara said.

"You can't." MJ said. "Grandma is at the house resting and mom called Lena to the DEO. They won't get here in time."

"Can't we lock this place down?" Martin asked.

"Sure, but Alex knows how to hack it open from the inside." Kara said. "And last time we tried she locked MJ in storage."

"Good news, bad news." Ruby said over the radio.

"What?" Alex said.

"We have found Supergirl. But she is acting kinda nuts. The Flash is trying to talk her down, but can't get close enough to try using the antidote."

"And the good news?" Alex asked.

"That was the good news." Ruby said. "The bad news is when Supergirl and Lobo entered the warehouse they unleashed or let loose a bunch of really powerful metas and we are taking a lot of hits. Plus that alien is really powerful and super freaky."

"You need back up?" Alex asked.

"Would be good." Ruby said as they heard a large explosion in the background. "And a plan. We don't have enough troops here to contain everything so do we contain the meta or Lobo or Supergirl?"

"Your primary objective is to protect lives. Pick the target that will meet that objective." Alex said. "But to be clear, your lives are just as important as any civilians that may be there." Alex ordered as she looked at a map and added. "Reinforcements are fifteen minutes out. Hold on to then."

"Okay. And Alex, you watching the video feed?"

"Yes. Why?"

"Something about that alien seems a little familiar." Ruby said before Alex heard another explosion.

"We'll look into it." Alex said. "Stay alive."

"Ruby is right there is something familiar about that alien." Vasquez said from Alex's side as she watched the video.

"I have never seen a giant acid drooling spikey ant." Alex replied.

"But you have seen giant spiders." Vasquez reminded her.

"You think this isn't an alien and instead is an experiment?"

"Maybe." Vasquez said. "To be safe I'll find an ant guy."

"Everything okay?" Matt asked as he entered the other lab where Alex was suited up.

"Seems to be." Jane said.

"Good, so want to tell me what you are planning?" Matt asked Alex.

"What can I do?" Alex asked.

"I don't know, but you clearly have a plan." He said before noticing Alex holding something. "What's that?"

"Good luck charm." She said looking impatient.

"Good luck charm with Dakran markings?" Matt asked. "Wait isn't that the device Frax gave you to communicate with him?"

"Yes. Like I said it is a good luck charm."

"Okay, well I think you should go back to bed."

"All I've done for three weeks is sleep." Alex said.

"Being in a coma isn't exactly sleeping. And your body put you in a coma for a reason." Matt said looking at Jane for support.

"That's why I am wearing the suit." Alex said. "To help my body recover."

"No one really buys that." Jane said.

"Have I tried leaving?" Alex asked.

"Well no." Matt conceded.

"Can you tell me what happened?"

"Um, well you attacked and then you collapsed. You were really sick." Matt said.

"Your uncle went to find a cure." Jane added.

"Where?"

"Dakran."

"So he's not here?" Alex asked looking agitated.

"Unless he is back, but if he is we've not heard. Although I did hear your grandmother say he was due back." Jane said. Seeing Alex's disappointment she said. "I'm sure he'll be back soon and until then you have us."

"I know." Alex said getting lost in thought. After a minute she asked. "How bad is mom?"

"No one has told us anything." Matt said. "All we know is she disappeared and then-"

"What do you mean disappeared?" Alex asked.

"Um, well your aunt persuaded her to go get some sleep two, maybe three days ago. It actually turned into a fight. But she went. But she never came back."

"Where has she been?" Alex asked.

"I don't know, but I am pretty sure you'd be better not worrying about it." Matt said. "I mean you need to recover."

"I'm fine." Alex said as she started to pace while pressing the object in her hand.

"Pretty sure you aren't." Matt said.

"Powers are back. All healed." Alex said distractedly.

"Well you aren't acting like yourself." Matt said. "I mean you don't seem as focused as normal so perhaps you should sit down."

"I'm fine." Alex repeated as she paced.

"Alex." Matt said standing in front of her. "You were really ill. We thought you weren't going to make it. I thought you were going to die. So please sit down."

"Okay." Alex conceded, but before she had sat down Frax suddenly appeared in the lab.

"Alex? You're awake? How are you?" He asked as he hugged her.

"I'm fine, but I need your help."

"Of course. What do you need?"

"In a couple of minutes I need you to teleport me to where mom is."

"Of course." Frax said, wondering why Kara wasn't already there. "Where is she? The DEO?"

"No. There." Alex said pointing to a screen, showing her mother fighting.

"Your mother is in a fight." Frax said confused watching the screen. "With Lobo?"

"I know. I need to help her."

"You have just woken from a coma." Frax went on.

"I know." Alex repeated. "I just need to let mom see I am okay. If she lets her anger win she will never forgive herself. Once she sees me you can teleport me straight out. I am going anyway. If you teleport me in and out it will be safer."

"No, safer is you not going." Matt argued.

"That's not an option." Alex countered.

"You know there are radios right?" Jane said.

"She needs to see me." Alex argued pointing to the screen and adding. "Something isn't right. And Lobo is involved."

"More reason not to go." Matt argued.

"Lobo will protect me." Alex said.

"You know how nuts you sound right now?" Matt asked.

00

"Kara, you need to stop this." Barry said using his speed to avoid her blows.

"I need to stop them." Kara snarled, her eyes glowing red.

"They want you angry."

"Well they succeeded." Supergirl said.

"You are falling into two traps right now." Barry said. "And Alex needs you in neither."

"Alex needs me to stop the danger." Kara said.

"Yes she does and you are part of that danger. So take this." Barry said holding out a spray.

"I can't afford to be weak." Kara said taking the spray and throwing it far into the distance.

"Don't do this." Barry pleaded, so focused on Kara he didn't see the danger from behind.

"Move aside Cheeseball." Lobo said tossing Barry to one side. "Let's go Supes."
