As the sun rises over the horizon, casting a warm hue upon the grandiose chambers of General Smilas' office, the sounds of marching boots echoed through the hallways. The air was thick with anticipation as the man himself, General Smilas, waited for his guest to arrive. His piercing gaze scanned the entrance, taking in every detail, every soldier that passed by. Finally, the door swung open, revealing the figure of Lelouch vi Britannia, clad in his European military uniform, the eye patch still in place to hide his Geass. The rebel leader, Zero, strode confidently into the room, his presence commanding attention.
The two men regarded each other for a moment, the tension palpable. Then, with a nod, they both sat down opposite each other at the ornate oak table, their hands folded neatly in their laps. General Smilas leaned forward, his elbows resting on the table. "So, you've given it some thought?" he asked, his voice calm and collected.
Lelouch paused for a moment, his mind racing with the possibilities that lay before him. He could continue down the path he'd chosen, fighting against the very system that had once been his own. Or, he could take a different route, join forces with the EU. The weight of his decision was heavy on his shoulders, but in the end, there was only one choice that made sense.
"Yes," he said, meeting the general's gaze unflinchingly. "I have." And with that, he extended his hand across the table. "I'll help you, General Smilas. Together, we Will defeat Britannia." The general's eyes widened in surprise, but slowly, he reached out and grasped Lelouch's hand, shaking it firmly. A look of cautious relief spread across his face.
"Thank you, Your Highness," he said, his voice low and sincere. "I know this was not an easy decision for you to make. But together, I truly believe we can make a difference." The two men sat back in their chairs, their hands still clasped tightly. They knew the road ahead would be fraught with danger, but they were both determined to see it through. As they looked into each other's eyes, they could see the spark of hope flickering there, a glimpse of the brighter future they were fighting for.
As Leila lay in bed, the soft rays of dawn peeking through the curtains, she was suddenly awake. Something felt off. She sat up and looked around, searching for the source of her unease. Her eyes fell on the empty spot beside her, where Lelouch, her prisoner, should have been. A pang of worry struck her chest, but she forced it down, telling herself he was probably just in the bathroom or getting some fresh air.
She heard a knock at the door, and Akito's voice calling out from the other side. She quickly threw on her military uniform, hastily brushing her hair and straightening her jacket. As she opened the door, Akito was standing there, his expression grim.
"General Smilas asks to see you and the rest of the crew in the meeting room in thirty minutes," he said curtly before turning on his heel and marching down the hallway. Leila felt a knot form in her stomach; she couldn't shake the feeling that whatever this meeting was about, it had something to do with Lelouch.
She quickly got ready and made her way to the meeting room, passing by Ayano, Ryo, Yukiya, and Claus along the way. They exchanged brief nods of acknowledgment, but there was an unspoken tension between them that hadn't been there before. As she entered the room and took her seat, she noticed that Akito and Lelouch were sitting on opposite sides of the table, neither of them making eye contact with the other.
The rest of the crew filed in, taking their seats, and General Smilas entered the room, his expression solemn. "Thank you all for coming," he began, "I'm sure you're wondering why I called you all here on such short notice. Well, as some of you may be aware, we've had a... unique situation arise recently, with the capture of Lelouch vi Britannia." He gestured towards Lelouch, who still refused to look up. "It seems that he has information that could be extremely valuable to us."
Leila's heart skipped a beat. She glanced at Lelouch, then back at the general, wondering what he meant. When General Smilas continued, "I'm happy to say that he has agreed to work with us," her jaw nearly hit the floor. The crew exchanged confused glances, and Akito in particular looked furious. But as they all sat there, processing the general's words, Leila couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope. Maybe, just maybe, they could find a way to make this work. And if anyone could convince Lelouch to cooperate, it was her.
The tension in the air was palpable as Lelouch stood before the Wyvern squad, his eyes burning with determination. He began to speak, his voice commanding and authoritative despite the lack of trust in it. "Revolution is not about tearing down what is, but about building what should be," he said, quoting a line from his favorite book. "It is about standing up against injustice, no matter how powerful the oppressor may seem. It is about cooperation, about working together towards a common goal."
His words hung in the air, echoing through the minds of every member of the squad. Even Smilas, who had always been skeptical of Lelouch's leadership, found himself nodding along in agreement. As Lelouch continued to speak about their shared struggle against Britannia and the need for unity, Leila and Claus were the only ones to clap, their faces beaming with pride and admiration.
The rest of the squad, however, remained silent. They had heard his words, but they couldn't help but feel that something was still missing. They didn't trust Lelouch yet, not completely. They had followed him because they had no choice, but deep down, they still felt as if they were being led astray.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Lelouch finished his speech. The silence that followed was deafening. But then, slowly, deliberately, General Smilas stepped forward. He nodded once at Lelouch, acknowledging the speech for what it was: a beginning. A first step towards something greater. With a curt nod, he dismissed the Wyvern squad, leaving Lelouch and his closest allies to contemplate what had just happened.
As they filed out of the room, the members of the Wyvern squad could not help but feel a sense of hope begin to stir within them. They had listened to Lelouch, and even if they didn't fully trust him yet, they couldn't deny that his words had struck a chord with them. Perhaps, just perhaps, this new path would lead them to victory against Britannia.
Caesar's Palace
after Suzaku Kururugi's capture
The Euro Britannian House of Lords, a chamber steeped in history and tradition, echoed with the hushed tones of debate. Its members, clad in their ornate robes, huddled around their desks, each intent on proving why they had been chosen to serve in this hallowed hall. Their discussions ranged from the mundane, such as the latest scandal involving a nobleman's mistress, to the more weighty matters of foreign policy and the ongoing struggle for dominance between the Holy Britannian Empire and the forces of Europia.
As the members of the house continued their heated debates, a hush fell over the chamber as the Grand Master of the Holy Order of Michael, Lord Shin Hyuga Shaing, entered the room. His face etched with the lines of wisdom and experience, strode purposefully towards the speaker's dais, his steps echoing throughout the hall. The air of authority that emanated from him was palpable, and all eyes turned towards him as he took his place at the head of the chamber.
Without further ado, Lord Shin cleared his throat and addressed the assembled lords. "Hear me now, for I bear news that will shake the very foundations of our empire!" His voice boomed through the chamber, causing several of the older members to jump in surprise. "I have received intelligence that General Julius Kingsley, the emperor's trusted envoy sent to restore order in Euro Britannia, is in truth the rebel Zero!" Gasps of shock and disbelief filled the air as the members of the house tried to process this stunning revelation.
Shin continued, his voice steady and authoritative. "It seems that the Emperor have been playing us for fools, using the own general as a pawn in his bid for power. But fear not, for General Kingsley has escaped our grasp and is now in hiding within Europia itself!" He paused for effect, fixing his gaze upon each and every one of them. "This presents us with a unique opportunity, my lords. If we act swiftly and decisively, we can strike a devastating blow against the Homeland and sever their influence once and for all!"
The members of the house exchanged nervous glances, their minds racing with the implications of Shin's words. Many of them were already plotting how they might use this information to their advantage, either by seizing power for themselves or by striking a more favorable deal with the Holy Britannian Emperor. But as they pondered their next move, Lord Shin spoke again, his voice growing more insistent.
"I propose that we grant me, Shin Hyuga Shaing, Grand Master of the Holy Order of Michael, supreme authority over Euro Britannia. In my hands, you can be assured that the future of our empire will be secure. Together, we will forge a new path forward, free from the shackles of the past!"
The chamber erupted into a cacophony of whispers and murmurs as the lords debated Shin's proposal. Some looked skeptical, while others seemed genuinely intrigued. But as the arguments raged on, one thing became abundantly clear: the fate of not only Euro Britannia, but of the entire Holy Britannian Empire, hung in the balance. The choice they made in the coming moments would echo through the centuries to come.
Lelouch sat on a weathered wooden bench in the garden outside Weisswolf Castle, the morning sun casting a warm glow over the lush greenery. His gaze drifted lazily across the expanse of well-manicured lawn, lost in thought. He had made a decision, one that would change the course of his life and the fate of the entire world. He had joined the United Army, Fighting against Britannia. Yet, even as he sat there, he couldn't shake the feeling that he had made a mistake. Perhaps he should have tried to contact his former comrades, he mused, seeking their counsel and support.
Just then, a familiar figure walked into the garden, her long, blonde hair flowing gently behind her. It was Leila, his old friend. She carried a tray laden with a delicate set of porcelain tea cups, a silver teapot, and a small plate of sweet treats. "afternoon, Lelouch," she said softly, her voice like a soothing balm to his troubled soul. "Care for some tea?"
Lelouch looked up, his features softening into a small smile. "Thank you, Leila. That would be lovely." He watched as she set the tray down on a small table between them, pouring them each a cup of steaming hot tea. He took a sip, savoring the rich, aromatic flavor, and sighed contently. "You know," he began, setting his cup down on the table, "I've been thinking...perhaps I should have tried to contact the Black Knights."
"And what makes you think they would even listen to you?" Leila countered, her voice tinged with a hint of sadness. "They blame you for everything that's happened, Lelouch. They believe you betrayed them. It would be impossible for you to rejoin their ranks now." She took another sip of her tea, her gaze never leaving his face. "No, I think your best course of action is to focus on the task at hand and make the most of your new role here."
Lelouch nodded thoughtfully, his mind already racing with possibilities. "You know, Leila," he said, suddenly chuckling, "I've always wondered if you play chess." At her raised eyebrow, he added, "It's just a thought. If you're interested, I mean. We could play a game or two."
Leila's eyes sparkled with amusement. "I'm not the best player," she admitted, "but I'd be happy to play with you. It's been a while since I last did." She gestured to the chessboard that was set up on the table between them. "Why don't you make the first move, then?"
As the game progressed, it became clear that Lelouch was the stronger player. He skillfully maneuvered his pieces, setting up a series of devastating attacks, while Leila struggled to maintain her defenses. Finally, with a series of swift moves, he cornered her queen, ending the game with a decisive checkmate.
Leila let out a sigh of defeat and chuckled. "You're still as good as I remember," she said, pushing her pieces back into place. "I suppose it's only fair that you win, since you chose to play as the black pieces. After all, that's always been your color, hasn't it?" There was an undercurrent of meaning in her words, but Lelouch didn't miss a beat.
As Lelouch sat back, enjoying the warm glow of victory, the sound of footsteps approached from behind. He turned to see Akito walking toward them, his expression a mix of curiosity and disapproval. "Ah, Lelouch. I see you've found yourself some company," he said, nodding in Leila's direction. "Quite a lovely view from up here, isn't it?"
Lelouch narrowed his eyes at the other man.
"What do you mean, 'what am I doing here'?" Akito retorted, his tone cool. "I thought that I had every right to be here, considering that this is my home." He gestured around the garden. "Besides, I heard there was a rather interesting game of chess going on. And I must say, Leila, it was quite the match."
Leila smiled at him, her expression a mix of gratitude and relief. "Thank you, Akito. It was very enjoyable." She glanced over at Lelouch, who was still glaring at the other man. "I think perhaps you misunderstood. Lelouch is not being rude. He's just..." She trailed off, unable to finish her sentence.
Akito raised an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed by Lelouch's attitude. "Oh, I see. So you're back to your old self, huh? Acting all high and mighty, just like when you were leading the Black Knights." He chuckled derisively. "I never would have guessed that the man behind the mask, the strategist they called 'Zero', was just a teenager."
The words stung Lelouch, but he refused to let them show. With a dismissive wave of his hand, he snapped back, "What's it to you? I was just playing a game of chess with Leila here. There's no need to make such a big deal out of it."
As he spoke, Lelouch's tone grew more aggressive, and his eyes narrowed. It was as if the arrogant mask of Zero was beginning to slip back into place. Seeing this, Akito took a step back, his expression guarded. "Fine, fine," he muttered. "I'm just saying. You never know who you're going to run into here, you know?" He glanced over at Leila again, his expression softening. "I was just going to ask Leila about that Kingsley part she's been playing. But I can see that's not going to happen now."
Leila, sensing his awkwardness, interjected. "Akito, please. You know I'm not him. I'm just trying to help out here." She reached out to put a hand on his arm, but he brushed it aside.
"Well, maybe another time," he said, turning away. "Take care, you two." With that, he strode off through the garden, leaving Lelouch and Leila alone once more.
"Leila," he asked trying to match her tone. "I need to ask you about your name. Why did you change it from Briesgau to Malcal?" He took a step closer, his expression growing more serious with each passing moment. "And what is your connection to the Malcals?"
Leila hesitated for a moment, her eyes searching his face before she finally spoke. "It's a long story," she began, her voice quiet and distant. "But I'll tell you if you really want to know."
She took a seat on a nearby boulder, gesturing for Lelouch to do the same. He obliged, sitting down across from her. As she stared up at the sky, she began to speak, her words tumbling out in a rush.
"My parents, the Briesgaus, were very close friends with the Malcals," she explained. "They were like family to us. But then, one day, they were murdered. It was a terrible tragedy. The Malcals, especially their last born, took it very hard. They swore to look after me, to make sure that I was safe and taken care of."
Her voice wavered, and for a moment she looked away, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. "They adopted me," she continued, her voice barely above a whisper. "They changed my name to Malcal, to remind me that I would always be a part of their family. And as for my betrothal to their last born... it was their way of ensuring my protection. They want what's best for me, Lelouch. They truly do."
Her words hit Lelouch like a punch to the gut. He tried to maintain his composure, but it was difficult. He had to remind himself that this was all just business, that he couldn't let his personal feelings get in the way. He took a deep breath and forced a small smile. "I see," he said, his voice calm and measured. "Well, I appreciate you telling me the story. I hope you'll be happy with your choice."
Leila smiled back, her eyes filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Lelouch. I know it must have been difficult for you to hear. But I hope you can understand why I had to do what I did." She giggled"Happy Birthday Lelouch."
"You still remember" asked Lelouch with a smile on his face.
"Why will I forget my best friend's birthday?"
They both laugh as the they recall past events.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting an eerie orange glow across the landscape, Weisswolf Castle stood tall and ominous. Its turrets pierced the sky like fingers reaching for some unseen power. The wind howled through the stone corridors, whispering secrets that had long been buried. In the meeting room, a tense atmosphere permeated the air as Lelouch and General Smilas addressed the members of the Wyvern Squad. The squad consisted of five highly skilled and capable individuals: Leila, Akito, Ayano, Ryo, and Yukiya.
Lelouch held up a tablet, his expression grave. "Euro Britannia is preparing to attack the city of Kherson," he said, his voice barely audible over the wind. "Our mission is to stop them at all costs." General Smilas nodded in agreement. "The Euro Britannian forces are heavily armored and well-equipped," he added. "But we have the advantage of surprise and speed."
The general continued, "We will use the Apollo's Chariot to reach Kherson and assist the EU forces there. Once we have secured the city, we will regroup and prepare for any counterattacks." Lelouch paused, his gaze flickering over the squad members. "And I will be joining you on this mission."
There was a moment of surprised silence before Leila, the squad's leader, managed to stammer, "But Lieutenant, aren't you needed here?" Lelouch smiled grimly. "No, Leila. This is a fight we cannot afford to lose. And I if a king doesn't lead, how does he expect his subordinates to follow."
General Smilas cleared his throat, "Leila, I'm sure you have a question on your mind. Go ahead and ask." Leila hesitated for a moment, her expression shifting between confusion and understanding. "Why...why am I following you, Lelouch?" she finally managed to get out.
The question hung in the air, the tension palpable. Lelouch met her gaze, his expression unreadable. "Because," he said quietly, "I want you to keep an eye on me." There was a brief silence as the words sank in. "I need to know that someone has my back, even when I can't think straight."
Akito, spoke up, his voice low and gruff. "And we're honored to have you with us, lelouch." Ryo, nodded in agreement. Yukiya, remained silent, his expression unreadable.
Leila looked at Lelouch, studying his face. She knew that he was hiding something, but she also trusted him. She knew that whatever his reasons were, they were for the greater good. With a nod, she turned to the others and said, "Then let's get ready." The squad members began to gather their gear, preparing for the mission ahead.
As they readied themselves, Lelouch glanced at his tablet once more. He had one last piece of information to share with the squad. "One more thing," he said, looking up at them. "I've been monitoring some chatter between the enemy commanders. They seem to be under the impression that they're dealing with an untested squad. Let's prove them wrong." A determined gleam flickered in his eyes. "We are the Wyvern Squad. And we will not fail."
With that, General Smilas dismissed the squad.
The air was thick with anticipation and secrecy as Lelouch vi Britannia walked through the halls of Weisswolf Castle. The meeting with General Smilas and the Wyvern Squad had been long and arduous, but he had emerged victorious, his plans for the coming battle set in motion. He couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment, tempered by the knowledge that there were many more battles yet to fight.
As he made his way to Leila's room, he was surprised to find Leila standing outside his door, her expression grave and serious. "What do you know about Geass?" she asked without preamble, her voice barely above a whisper. Lelouch hesitated, caught off guard by the question. He tried to act as if he didn't know what she was talking about, but it was clear from her expression that she had seen through his facade.
"I...I don't know what you're talking about," he stammered, his voice betraying his lie. Leila took a step closer, her eyes boring into him. "I've seen what's under your eye patch, Lelouch," she said, her voice steady and unwavering. "I've seen you use it. Now tell me, what is Geass?"
Lelouch swallowed hard, his heart racing. He couldn't believe she'd seen all of that. "Look, Leila," he began, trying to sound casual, "it's not like it's some big secret or anything. It's just a power that I have...a gift, I guess." He forced a smile, but it came out strained and forced.
"A gift?" she repeated, her voice tinged with disbelief. "What kind of gift makes people obey your every command?" Lelouch paused, unsure how to respond. He'd never really thought about it like that. "And what about the green-haired witch? Do you know anything about her?" she pressed, her eyes unblinking.
He took a deep breath and decided to come clean. There was no point in trying to hide anything from her anymore. He removed his eye patch, revealing the intricate pattern of his Geass to her. "C.C.," he began, "her name is C.C. She's a witch...a powerful immortal. She gave me this power, this Geass. It allows me to compel anyone to obey my commands." He hesitated for a moment before continuing, "But you already know that, don't you?"
Leila nodded, her expression thoughtful. "Yes, I know about C.C. and the Geass. But I don't have it. Or...at least, not yet." She reached up to touch the spot under her left eye, revealing that it was identical to the one Lelouch had under his right eye. "Many years ago, when I was a young girl, C.C. saved my life. She gave me a Geass as well, but it's been dormant ever since. I've never been able to activate it."
Lelouch felt a chill run down his spine. He had never heard of anyone being given a Geass that didn't immediately activate upon receipt. "Why...why has it been dormant all this time?" he asked, his voice hushed.
"I don't know," she said with a shrug. "Maybe it's because I haven't been in any life-threatening situations, or maybe it's because I'm not the one meant to use it. I've always been curious about it, but I've never been able to find out more about it." She looked at him, her eyes hopeful. "Do you think you could help me activate it?"
Lelouch considered her request for a moment. He'd never been asked to help someone activate their Geass before. But there was something about Leila, something that made him feel like he could trust her. "I...I'll try," he said finally. "But I don't know how. We'd have to find out more about your Geass, and what it does. And even then, there's no guarantee that I'll be able to help you."
Leila nodded, her expression understanding. "I know it's a long shot," she said softly. "But I would appreciate it if you'd try."

After the Launch of Apollo's chariot
The forest surrounding the City of Kherson was dense and eerie, its branches stretching out like skeletal fingers reaching for the sky. The air was heavy with a sense of foreboding, as if the very trees themselves were alive and breathing, waiting for something momentous to happen. It was into this world that Lelouch vi Britannia, the exiled prince and legendary revolutionary leader known as Zero, found himself, accompanied by a small but formidable group of loyal companions.
Their arrival was anything but subtle; a blinding flash of light cut through the canopy of leaves as the Apollo's chariot, descended from the heavens, depositing them safely onto the lush forest floor. The group, consisting of Lelouch, Leila, Akito, Ryo, Yukiya, and Ayano quickly disembarked from the craft, their weapons and equipment gleaming in the dim light.
As they prepared to depart on their Alexanders, Lelouch spoke up over the intercom, his voice calm and commanding. "Alright, everyone, listen up. We're going to be heading to Fort Noir on our Frames. I'll be commanding the mission. Any questions?" There was a brief pause before Ryo and Akito responded in unison, their voices filled with skepticism and mistrust. "Are you sure that's a good idea? You're an enemy commander that just joined three days ago. We don't trust you, whether you're Zero or not."
Leila chimed in, her voice steady and resolute. "But Lelouch knows all of Euro Britannia's plans and strategies. We should trust him. And besides, it's not just for me. It's for everyone else here too." There was a moment of silence before Akito finally spoke up, his voice gruff but respectful. "Alright, you've got a point. We'll give him a chance. But if anything goes wrong, I will Kill him myself ."
With that, the group set off towards the outskirts of Kherson, their Knightmares gliding effortlessly through the dense forest.
As the sun began to set over the horizon, casting a warm orange glow across the vast, barren expanse of the outskirts of Kherson, the massive wooden gates of Fort Noir slowly creaked open.
As they approached the gate, a soldier stationed there stepped forward, his gaze fixed on Leila. He cleared his throat and asked her, "Commander Malcal of the Wyvern Squad? You've arrived, ma'am." Leila nodded and replied, "That's right, soldier. Please escort us to our commander's office." The soldier gave her a crisp salute before leading them through the gate and into the fort proper.
The fort was a bustling center of activity, with soldiers rushing to and fro, tending to their duties and preparations for the impending battle. The group wound their way through the narrow, winding pathways, passing by storerooms and armories, barracks and training grounds, until they finally arrived at the command center. There, they were greeted by Major Blaise Louis, the commander of Fort Noir.
"Commander Malcal," he said, his voice strong and commanding. "I was beginning to wonder if you'd make it in time. And who do we have here?" He gestured to the others in the group. Leila quickly introduced everyone, including Lelouch as the deputy commander, much to the amusement of Blaise and the others present. In his flawless French accent, Lelouch butted in, "Major, please, call me Lieutenant Lamperouge." Blaise raised an eyebrow but nodded, taking a seat behind his desk.
"Well, Commander Malcal," he began, "it seems that Smilas was indeed wise to send you and your squad here. We've been preparing for this for quite some time now. But tell me, what information do you have on their plans?" Leila and Lelouch exchanged glances before Leila took a deep breath and began to explain everything they knew about Euro Britannia's intentions. As they spoke, the tension in the room seemed to grow, with each member of the group silently contemplating the gravity of the situation.
Major Blaise listened intently, his face a mask of concentration. When Leila finished, he nodded thoughtfully. "This is indeed dire news, Commander. We will need all the help we can get. I understand that you and your squad will be staying here until reinforcements arrive?" Leila nodded, her expression solemn. "Yes, Major. That is correct. We will do whatever we can to aid you and your men in the meantime."
The major glanced at Lelouch, who gave him a reassuring nod. "Very well then," Blaise said, standing up. "I want you all to know that you are most welcome here. Fort Noir is your home for as long as you need it. We will do everything in our power to see this threat eliminated and Kherson protected."
As the evening sky darkened, the outskirts of Kherson came alive with the sounds of battle. Lelouch, surveyed the scene from atop his Alexander . His commanding presence was felt by all, as he led the European forces and their foes . Beside him, Leila rode astride her Alexander, her long, flowing hair streaming behind her like a banner. Their eyes met, and without a word, she asked him about the plan.
"Euro Britannia is planning to attack through the north of the city," Lelouch replied tersely, his gaze never leaving the horizon. "They'll cause an explosion in the south to distract us, then charge at the north. They're planning to deceive."
"Yes," Leila murmured, her fingers dancing across the controls of her frame. "Akito said they're planning something similar." She glanced over at the young pilot, who was now engrossed in conversation with his own wingman. "He's worried about it."
Lelouch nodded grimly. "We'll just have to be prepared for anything, won't we?" he said, his voice steady despite the tension. As if in response to his words, the horizon suddenly lit up with the light of an explosion, casting long shadows across the battlefield. The Wyvern Squad, , readied themselves for the imminent attack. Lelouch glanced back at Leila, his eyes narrowing. "Let's show them what we're made of."
The skyline of the nearly abandoned city of Kherson loomed ahead, a grim testament to the futility of war. As the Sutherlands and Liverpools charged towards the city, Lelouch issued orders to Akito, Leila, and the rest of the Wyvern Squad. "Q-2, N-1 Attack the enemy knightmares!" he barked, his voice carrying across the wind. "We need to neutralize them before they can reach further into the city!"
But even as the words left his lips, Lelouch's mind was already racing ahead, calculating the next move. "B-1, B-2, R-1" he continued, "Take down the shocked Euro Britannian soldiers. But be careful. They may have reinforcements waiting."
He glanced back at Akito, watching as the young man struggled to contain his anger and frustration. "N-1," he said, his voice gentle but firm, "pull back." But it was clear that Akito was no longer listening. Instead, he began to attack the enemy soldiers with a reckless abandon, his eyes wild with a fury that Lelouch had never seen before. "Q-2," he said, his voice tight with concern, "try to talk some sense into him."
As the battle raged on, the sky filled with the roar of engines and the clash of metal against metal. The Euro Britannian forces were relentless, pressing their advantage despite the fierce resistance of the local defenders and the Wyvern Squad. The air was thick with smoke and the stench of burning rubber, as knight mare frames collided in the sky above them, their weapons flashing like deadly meteors.
Akito began brutalizing the Euro Britannian soldiers while saying one word "Die!"
The frosty air bit at Lelouch's exposed skin as he stood atop the parapet of Fort Noir, gazing out across the snow-covered landscape. The battle for Kherson had ended just thirty minutes ago, and already the sound of celebration could be heard from within the fort's walls. It was the first victory for Europia in the long-running war against the Britannian Empire, and the triumphant cheers of his soldiers filled the night air. Yet despite the jubilation, Lelouch couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss.
The Knights of Michael, Britannia's elite fighting force, had been conspicuously absent from the battlefield, and it troubled him. He knew they were more than capable of turning the tide of the fight if they had been there. As he watched the distant figures of his men celebrating their hard-won victory, a sense of foreboding settled over him. Something was definitely wrong, and he intended to find out what it was.
Lelouch turned away from the view, making his way through the frigid corridors of the fort until he reached his chambers. There, he found Major Blaise Louis, the European officer in charge of Fort Noir, waiting for him. The major congratulated him on the victory, but Lelouch's expression remained unreadable. "Thank you, Major," he replied curtly. "However, I believe the battle is not yet over."
The major raised an eyebrow in curiosity. "You think so, Lord Lelouch?" he asked, unable to hide his skepticism. "The Britannians have suffered a crushing defeat today. I find it hard to believe they would risk another engagement so soon."
Lelouch looked the major straight in the eye. "I don't believe they would," he said slowly. "I believe they are playing us for fools." The major's expression grew more concerned as Lelouch continued. "The Knights of Michael did not appear on the battlefield today. I think they have something else planned."
Major Louis' face paled. "You don't mean..." he trailed off, not wanting to voice his own fears aloud. But Lelouch nodded grimly. "Yes, Major. I believe they are planning a sneak attack, and we must be prepared for it." With that, Lelouch excused himself, leaving the major to ponder the implications of his words.
As the hours passed, Lelouch could hear the celebrations from outside his chamber growing quieter. The soldiers were beginning to retire to their bunks, exhausted from the day's battle and the cold night air. But Lelouch knew he could not rest yet. There was still much to do, and he could not shake the feeling that the fate of the world hung in the balance.
A soft knock on the door drew his attention. When he opened it, he found Leila standing there, her expression a mix of concern and curiosity. "Lelouch," she said softly. "Are you all right?" He gestured for her to enter and closed the door behind her. "I'm fine," he lied. "Why do you ask?"
She perched on the edge of a nearby chair, her eyes fixed on him. "You've been sitting here for hours, brooding. And you haven't even joined in the celebrations. Something's bothering you, and I want to know what it is." Her words were gentle, but there was a steel beneath them that hinted at her own resolve.
Lelouch took a deep breath, then exhaled slowly. "It's not important," he began, but she cut him off.
"It's important enough for you to stay awake all night. So, let me help you." Her voice was firm, but there was a touch of understanding there as well. "Tell me what's going on, and maybe I can help."
He hesitated for a moment, then leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. "I think the Britannians have something planned," he began. "The Knights of Michael didn't appear on the battlefield today, and I believe they're planning a sneak attack."
Leila considered this for a moment, her brow furrowed in thought. "What do you want to do?" she asked. "Retreat and prepare for an attack?"
Lelouch shook his head. "No," he said decisively. "I want to find them first. To know what they're planning. I want to be ready for them, and I want to strike the first blow."
Leila frowned. "So what do you suggest we do?"
He shrugged, still not meeting her gaze. "I don't know. Keep an eye out, I suppose. Keep the men alert and on their toes. We can't afford to let our guard down, not now." There was a note of despair in his voice that she couldn't help but notice.
Lelouch stood up and asked "Wanna stroll with me"
"Why not" Leila replied
Lelouch and Leila strolled leisurely through Fort Noir, the air thick with celebration. The Soldiers were in high spirits, their victory over the Euro Britannians still fresh in their minds. Amidst the revelry, Lelouch found himself pondering the enigmatic figure of Akito. Something about him didn't quite add up. As they stopped to get a bottle of water, Lelouch couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to Akito than met the eye.
"Do you think Akito has always been so... bloodthirsty in battle?" he asked Leila, curiosity getting the better of him.
She considered the question for a moment before responding. "Yes, he has. One thing that's always puzzled me, though... Shin once told him to die. Why would his own brother say something like that?"
Lelouch's mind raced as he pieced together the fragments of information. It all began to make sense. Lord Manfredi's death, Shin's mysterious takeover, and now Akito's unnerving demeanor. He leaned in closer to Leila, his voice barely above a whisper. "Shin has a Geass ability. He can compel others to kill themselves or others."
Leila's eyes widened in understanding. "So that's why... Akito is affected by Shin's Geass."
Lelouch nodded grimly. "We need to keep an eye on him," he said, a note of urgency in his voice. "Akito may not be in control of his own actions anymore. If Shin's Geass continues to influence him, we could be facing a much greater threat than we realize."
Leila looked at Lelouch with a concerned expression, but said nothing. The weight of their revelation hung heavy in the air as they continued their walk through the lively Fortress.
