So! What do you think Lark's dream means? I might not be able to upload twice a week for the next couple of weeks, but if I don't, I'm guaranteeing that I WILL make up the lost time. Also, one of my friends is now co-authoring with me! We will be working together to write all the chapters – from the same Fan Fiction account. Back to the story! Any guesses for love interests? Enjoy the next chapter! Also, cover art is coming soon! Working hard on it! I am SO SORRY that I uploaded late. Hopefully won't happen again!

Day 2 of training. Tomorrow it's individuals. Today, we decided to split up to cover our weaknesses. Robin and Prim are determinedly sticking to non-violent stations, along with Jasmi. Although she really doesn't have a good excuse to not try and pick up some combat. At least she wouldn't be as hopeless as she is currently. You need a fire to cook. And a fire in the hunger games is the most idiotic mistake you can make. Take the girl from 8, last year. She died because the light from her fire attracted the careers. I understand she was cold, but that was still a moronic move. Nathan has decided to work on javelins. I can see the twins from five watching him. The javelin looks as if it's travelling through their hearts from this angle. I shudder, and turn back to the fencing instructor. I'm at this station with the Odair boy, and his alliance. Ann has gone back to hand-to-hand combat. She excels at it. It's scary, her sheer strength. She doesn't look like it, but I have a feeling that she's the strongest career. Argent is with me too. He is… terrible… at fencing. Of course, he's 'playing mediocre'. Or rather, he is mediocre. He's even worse than I am. At least I can actually move the sword. He can barely lift it. And when he does, he swings it over his head and it lands on the floor again, pulling him down. The amount of times he has literally flipped over… Nathan is showing Sapo how to throw the javelins. Risky business, that. Sapo has been hitting the target every single time. Usually bullseyes. I don't really think Sapo needs to be able to use a weapon though. I think the only things that could do damage to him are an enormous sword, a trident, or a javelin.

I'm getting marginally better at fencing. I can use a machete, and I'm ok with a longsword. I'm abysmal with the other swords though. At least I'm a little bit better than Argent. I notice the careers laughing and pointing at me and Argent, but I grit my teeth and ignore them. Sameth Odair comes up to me after a decent fencing match with an assistant.

"You're Lark-Rose, right?"

"Correct."

"Look, I think we can help each other." Now I'm confused. "I don't plan to get out of the arena. I'm going to try and get some younger ones out. They don't deserve to die so young. And I imagine you're planning the same, with your brother and Primrose."

"You're right. I am."

"So, we could potentially ally, to get the younger ones out. I'm guessing that you're allied with some others from your district."

"Yes, I am."

"So, we could make a larger alliance, to try and get children out."

I think for a moment. It's a good idea. So far his actions – which I admit I have observed – appear to be backing up the plan that he told me.

"I'll think about it. I need to ask my district partners. I have a strategy, and I think if we allied, we could all benefit. But I do still need to consider."

"My brother – mentor, I mean – told me something. Apparently, your mentors know about it too."

Perhaps he knows about the rebellion.

"And what would that be?"

"Oh, I can't fully remember. Something about District 13. Did you know that they were the first to rebel?"

"Yes, I do." I have a feeling that he does know about the rebellion. I remember that mockingjays are a symbol of rebellion – apparently Katniss is being asked to be the Mockingjay of the 2nd rebellion. "I think it might have been something about mockingjay migration. Apparently, Katniss's father nearly called her Mockingjay, but he decided it wasn't a brilliant name."

Sameth looks me straight in the eyes. He knows about the rebellion alright.

"So, if your district partners agree to an alliance, do you want to discuss strategies in the lift?"

"Yes, that seems like a good idea." In the lift, I don't think we'll be under surveillance.

Then, the trainer walks over and he starts flirting with me. Good cover up. Anyway, he's the younger brother of Finnick Odair. What can we expect?

I don't get to talk to Sameth that night. We go back to our apartments at wildly different times. But I tell Katniss, Peeta and Haymitch about the new alliance. They seem pleased.
