Layla's Great Sacrifice
"Hideaki," Akilah called out. "I've got your back!"
"Me too!" Layla agreed.
"Thank you, Ladies," Hideaki said to Akilah and Layla. "I can use all the protection I can get! Vor it seems... she has the upper hand!"
"What will we do?" Achim asked, clearly, he was worried.
"Well, isn't that cute!" Vor mocked. "the children want to play war."
"Spoken like the old hag you are!" Layla spat. "you're the urliest thing I've ever seen."
"You take that back!" Vor demanded.
"Never!" Layla said as she stood her ground.
"Then suffer the consequences" Vor said as she shot a beam of magical energy toward Layla.
"Bring it!" Layla yelled as her amulet put a magical force field around her.
"Your amulet won't protect you for long!" Vor laughed as her magical beam grew in intensity.
"We'll see." Layla said, fighting Vor's power, but suddenly, Vor's beam cut through Layla's magical force field, knocking Layla unconscious.
"Layla!" Akilah shouted.
Hideaki, Achim, and Akilah raced over to Layla's location.
Achim felt Layla for a pulse.
"Layla has no pulse! She is in a coma!" Achim exclaimed.
"Well, looks like the little princess is down for the count," Vor mocked.
"You evil woman!" Achim barked at Vor
"There must be something we can do for Layla." Akilah said in hope.
"There is something," Hideaki responded as his spirit entered Layla's body.
"What is going on here," Vor demanded to know as Layla's amulet started shining brightly, "noooooooo!"
In a few moments, Vor's spirit disappeared into Naomi after Layla's amulet put her to sleep as Hideaki's spirit left Layla's body.
"We have to get help for Layla." Achim said as Akilah ran from the room to get help.
Hideaki was huffing and puffing breathlessly.
"It's time I returned to my borrowed form." Hideaki said.
Hideaki reverted back to Rashid.
Rashid quickly opened his eyes.
"Oh no! Layla!" Rashid exclaimed.
Achim placed hid right hand upon Rashid's left shoulder.
"I'm so sorry, Rashid." Achim said gently, taking his hand away.
"What has happened to Layla?" Rashid asked Achim in a worried tone of voice.
"I will not lie to you, Rashid," Achim answered. "just one attack from Vor has put Layla into a deep coma."
Rashid just looked around.
"Akilah? Tell me, Achim, where is Akilah?" Rashid asked, worriedly.
Achim began shaking Rashid's shoulders.
"Get a grip, Rashid," Achim said firmly. "Akilah left to get some help for Layla."
