Kagome smiles and nods. "That is a good way to think about it." She clears her throat. "By the way, your start date is next week, so be here promptly. Mr. Taisho hasn't said anything to anyone, so come in, and we will have a list of things for you to do." She motions for Rin to come closer as if she has a secret to tell. "The last receptionist left because big brother, I guess, had a mental breakdown and scolded her badly."
Rin gulped. She hoped she wouldn't meet her doom with her new boss. The pay was everything. She could take a little abuse, but to where she loses herself. She had morals and values .

That thought warmed her and aided her to sleep.
Sesshomaru still had yet to return to work. So, Rin sat at her new desk across from her new boss's huge one and imagined who he could be. Who was this high and mighty person who intimidated many? Rin shrugged it off and looked through the paperwork. It was simple, so she wondered what made the boss mentally break down and take it out on the last assistant.
Rin finishes up at least half of the work placed on her desk. She looked through the calendar to see what other tasks she had to complete. A meeting was coming up, and her boss still attended vital meetings from time to time. She hoped to meet him at one of those.
"Hey, big brother!" Sesshomaru heard on his answering machine. "I have hired a new assistant, she is great. She has already finished half of the work left behind by your last assistant. Anyway! Catch you later!"

He growls, "Everyone out!" The employees all look at each other in confusion, wondering who made the boss pissed. Sesshomaru gave Rin a death glare. He points at Rin. "Except for you!"
No one moved yet. They were somewhat intimidated not to make a move. "I said out!" Everyone quickly dispersed except the one who couldn't. He growls and snarls, baring his fangs. "Rin!"
Sesshomaru pressed a button, and the shades in the room covered the windows and door. The room was soundproof for confidentiality so no one would hear Sesshomaru's wrath.
Rin had never seen him so angry in the little month they shared. He always showed kindness and patience with her.
"Sess-Sesshomaru? I-I didn't know you w-worked here?"
Sesshomaru calmed himself. Little does she know . "I own this!" He makes his way toward her, never taking his eyes off her. "Why did you leave me?" He could get to her faster but didn't want her to run away. Rin moves back every step he makes toward her. Sesshomaru noticed her movements. "Are you afraid of me now?"
"No-no, I just thought… I am surprised," she laughed nervously.
That gave Sesshomaru the go. He was now in front of her, trapping her against the table. "Answer my question. Why did you leave, Rin?" He sniffs at her neck, taking in that divine scent he missed. "Was I not good enough?"

Did I have this wrong? She thought. "You want me, and you were searching for me?" Rin felt like her head would explode. "I had this all wrong?" She thought back to the nights they spent together.
She muttered to herself. "You didn't show any interest." She raised a finger to her lips, thinking about their past.
Sesshomaru watches the scene from the corner of his eye of his little mate trying to piece things together.
