After making through the front door of the school Dante heads to the gymnasium to see the roster for he fought in the battle portion of the exam, Once inside the gymnasium Dante heads straight to the list and sees he's gonna be battling two students and one of the battle instructors and also read the qualifications for a Trainers License isn't as simple as winning all of your battles and passing the written portion it simply stated you had to not only impress the instructor but also the judges with your performance.

Since Dante got here early he decided set a timer on his Pokégear and for a walk around the school with no real destination, while walking he passed by a trophy and plaque case and saw that it went back a couple years and decided to take a moment and look since he's never took the time to look through it since he's always focused on school work and saw his Sister and Mother's names along with Elite Four Agatha it also listed their achievements they achieved outside of the school, while looking through them he noticed a particular name Reed Wilson.

He decided to read what it offered to see if it would shed some light on his recent meeting with this man he looked at the most recent picture of him witch was five years age and saw that he lacked the scars the stranger had and had a full head of ashy blonde hair compared to the strangers gray buzz cut and lacked both the scar and burn scars the stranger had, they did have some similarities both had gray eyes and same face shape deciding to read more into it said he was born in Hoenn and moved to lavender to live with relatives and that his starter was a Aron and he graduated a year early and won every one of the major Gym Badges and placed fourth in the Pokémon Conference and was immediately recruited into the League.

"Quite a record" Dante thought and noticed it mentioned that Reed and his squad did indeed die in action but the bodies were never recovered. " BEEP BEEP".

The timer on his Pokégear went off, decided to find out more of this mystery later Dante headed back to the gymnasium to start the writing portion of the exam.

After finishing the written portion of the exam Dante and the other students sat on the bleachers to both watch and wait their turn Dante paid rapt attention to the battle between the two students whose names he already forgot and noticed they were just blatantly shouting commands with out trying to to hide what they were doing and weren't using any strategy it was no better than two fighters becoming punch drunk.

Dante got a news notification on his Pokégear and saw there was another report about Team Rocket trying to raid the Pokémon Center in Viridian City but was stopped by the runner up of the last Pokémon Conference Derrick Franklin who was one of Professor Oaks sponsored trainers, apparently he managed to detain the two Rockets rather soundly.

Dante hoped he could have the chance to face Derrick even though he'd probably lose, Dante heard his name being called and headed down to the red side of the field waiting for his opponent whose name was Jason who had short black hair with blue eyes, Dante also knew Jason was strong he was already on the blue side, the referee declared the Battle was a 1v1 because of Jason only owning one Pokémon.

Jason released his Pokémon first which was a Graveler who was above average size, "Gaia get ready to wreck whatever comes your way!" Said Pokémon let out a battle cry, it was my turn and decided the best choice is none other than my starter "Dojin let's knock some rocks!" after being released onto the field and saw it was a battle he let out a battle cry and glared at his his opponent who returned it in kind.

Both Jason and I gave commands at the same time "Dojin/Gaia use Focus Rush/Rock Throw"The Graveler threw two rocks which the Cubone countered with his combination move which involved both Focus Energy and Bone Rush, Dojin's now white glowing bone club broke the two rocks immediately as his club came back to his hand, both Pokémon patiently waited for their trainer's command.

Dante waited for Jason to commanded his partner which his opponent did without hesitation "Gaia use Deceptive Spin" Gaia the Graveler jumped in the air landing with a spin that caused a dust cloud came out came five spinning Gaia's seeing this Dante realized was some type of combo move but smiled but because he could counter easily enough "Dojin use Focus Rush to counter again" Dojin immediately acted by throwing his his now glowing bone club.

As the the the club hit the multiple Graveler's one by one before they reached Dojin did only Dojin and his Trainer realize they were all fake, before his club returned to him a tunnel opened up behind Dojin and he got rammed into full force from behind and into his club face first after being sent flying and roughly landing he stood up though it was obvious he was hurt.

Seeing this happen caused Dante to realize he was outplayed by Jason and also realize his opponents combo was the mix of the moves Rollout and Double Team but that combo was only part of it when he jumped in the air to make dust he used it as cover to hide for his real attack then used the move Dig to wait and build up momentum for it's Rollout attack to land a clean hit.

"Dammit Jason fights smart he used Rock Throw to see how'd I react and quickly made the perfect strategy to land a clean hit." After reasoning out the strategy Dante cursed himself for thinking the the trick would work twice on an opponent like Jason, Dante decided to both complement Jason and order Dojin to attack with a strategy of his own "I hate to admit it Jason but you got me good with that move I'm impressed" Dante said then saw Dojin ready to face his opponent whose currently spinning in place to build even more momentum while waiting for its next order to act.

Jason responded "Thanks man I've seen your past battles with the instructors and noticed you always used your combo of Focus Rush to counter ranged attacks and focused the main part of my strategy to counter it and I'm proud of the results now let's continue shall we, Gaia use Multi-Shot! And Deceptive Spin! once again" The Graveler continued the use of Rollout to spin a perfect 360 around Dojin as he passed in front of Dojin another copy was made until their was 10 of them, as Gaia was spinning she spawned multiple stones and fake ones seeing this made Dante excited and quickly thought up a counter.

"So he not only taught his Graveler the second variation of Stone Edge which is slightly weaker but had more range he also knows the variation of Double Team where it also allows the user to create false attacks as well luckily I have an ace up my sleeve" Dante thought excitedly and ordered a counter attack.

"Dojin use SC1 and once your close enough use Focus Club followed by SC3" before the sentence was finished Dojin already acted his eyes glowed as the stones made their way to him he stayed perfectly still as four passed through him he before the fifth could land Dojin used the melee variation of his first combo and destroyed the real one and repeated the process until the multiple Gravelers gave up on the attack and cancelled it and every one rammed head on into Dojin's direction.

Dojin ran through four of them while another three came charging at him, he bolted straight to the one on the left and with his glowing bone club he brought it down on his opponent, his Focus Club and the Graveler both attacks met Dojin's club and Gaia made created sparks as they pushed against each other with Gaia began to push Dojin back but he held his ground and planted his legs and raised his now silver and white glowing skull down on the on the fellow ground type which immediately stopped the sentient rock's spinning as it was sent flying back seeing this caused Jason to panic and let out a cry of worry.

Once Gaia the Graveler stopped skidding she got up, though hurt as she was she was not going to yield as she dazedly glared at the source of her pain being Dojin who returned the look in kind.

"What the hell was that Detect and Iron Head I didn't know that Cubone knew an egg moves and on top of such mastery over them, dammit that variation of Detect completely ruins any of my combos with Double Team useless not only that Gaia's to hurt to fight up close the only she's still standing is because of her ability Sturdy dam I have no choice but to surrender dammit I'm sorry Gaia" Thought Jason sadly he then called out to the referee.

"Hey referee I surrender Gaia's to hurt to keep fighting Dante wins" Called out Jason, hearing this caused Gaia to stare back at her Trainer questionably who gave her a defeated look which told her it was over the second she got hit the fight was already decided before Jason returned her she looked back to Dojin and Dante and gave them both nods of respect before the red light absorbed her back into her Pokéball.

Before the defeated Jason could leave Dante decided to comfort his opponent "Jason be proud you and Gaia have nothing to be ashamed about you both fought till you couldn't that's a win in my book" hearing this caused Jason to smile and walk to his opponent to reach out to shake his hand which Dante gladly did but then Jason asked Dante a question "Could we travel together I feel like we could become stronger together" hearing this surprised Dante a great deal but quickly decided "Yeah let's do it" hearing Dante's response caused Jason to smile.

After their battle both Dante and Jason we sitting on the bleachers discussing their plans for travel while waiting for Dante's next match, Jason decided to ask Dante about his Starters access to egg moves "Oh he already knew them before I caught him though don't ask who the breeder was because I really don't know he just showed up in my backyard one day" Dante explained to Jason which prompted him to ask a following question.

"Dang I would've loved having a Cubone of that quality, by the way does Dojin know any other egg moves and how did you master Detect to such a degree" After listening to Jason Dante responded "Through lots of trial and error we've learned to extend the amount he could use it and see through illusions and accurately predict the moves of opponents and dogging as well though we can't do it for prolonged amount of time without it failing, though if we didn't have have Detect you would've definitely have lost our battle" After Dante's explanation his name was called again hearing this Jason wished him luck and to explain why he would've won the battle.

Heading down again he's met with the sight of the third top ranked student named Rebecca Richardson a girl with chocolate brown hair with blood red eyes and someone's who's about equal with him when it comes to Strategy and not far behind when it came to actually Battles as far as she knew anyway if his battle with Jason was anything to go buy he better start taking his fellow students seriously from the start.

The referee declared since both Trainers had two Pokémon it'll be a 2v2 and I was asked to release thirst and after weighing the options with his with Rebecca being for her Fairy typed Pokémon Dante decided to open with Violet.

"Violet seek them and reap" as the Zubat was released and realized it was a battle she flew off the field to maintain an advantage of being able to fly.

Rebecca seeing the Poison type frowned and chewed her inner cheek realizing she was already at a disadvantage, after reaching toward her belt she grabbed to the second Pokéball and threw it, "Come on out Joy" what came out was her Tegetic seeing this caused some minor worry for Dante "Dang I was hoping for her starter Clefairy Violet doesn't have any experience with facing against flying opponents yet well at least Violet's faster" Dante made two clicking sounds with his mouth which Violet understands as a hidden command "Evasion Tactic followed by H " the bat quickly released thick white vapor from its mouth which quickly covered the field with the move Haze as it finished spreading across the whole field Violet screamed out a Supersonic which accurately hitting the Togetic.

After being hit with the sound based move caused the Fairy great pain as it covered its ears in the hopes they would stop ringing, Rebecca hearing her Fairy getting hit by the Supersonic caused her worry but calmed down to avoid panicking.

Rebecca and Dante both called out to their partner "Joy/Violet Defog/do it" before the Fairy could use the move she was rammed into by the bats now silver glowing wing which it recognized as the Steel move Steal Wing but before she counter attack the bat was already hidden within the Haze.

"Crap they're not gonna give Joy the time needed to dispel the Haze and neither Joy and I could see Dante's Zubat" Thought Rebecca who decided ranged attacks were the best move "Joy finish this with Shock Wave" Hearing she was using an Electric type attack Dante immediately countered "Violet use Anti-Lightning" hearing this Violet immediately dove to the ground and used Steel Wing on both wings and stabbed one into the ground while raising the other in the air.

As the electric attack about hit the Zubat it went directly into her raised wing and grounded out with one in the ground canceling out the attack, seeing this shocked not only Rebecca but everyone else watching except the the judges and a mysterious spectator who looked impressed.

Rebecca just stared but decided to continue to attack "Joy use Triad Blast then use Defog again" hearing this Joy the Togetic blasted Fire/Lightning/Ice in the direction of her last attack it didn't matter if the attack landed or not what mattered was it would by her time to dispel the Haze.

Violet didn't have even bother to counter the combo and focus on avoiding it at the same Dante warned her too quickly ascending upward did she realize her Haze was gone did notice she was duped.

Dante clicked his tongue three times before pausing pausing and doing it again which Violet understood as "Use Venoshock and maintain a safe distance from opponent and see their range" Violet shot a blast of purple Poison from her mouth straight at her opponent.

Before the attack landed Rebecca quickly ordered to counterattack "Joy use Flamethrower then Shock Wave once more" before the Electric attack could hit Violet managed to dodge at the last second but her right wing got hit slowing her down.

Before the Zubat could recover Rebecca acted "Joy end this with Ice-" before she could finish her command Dante quickly ordered his partner "Violet use Aerial Wing followed by Leech Fang" The Zubat blurred and reappeared ramming into the stunned Togetic but before Joy could recover Violet sunk her fangs into her body not only stealing her energy but also injecting poison to the point she fainted.

After the now recovered Violet defeated her opponent she gently lowered her to the ground once on the ground Joy's trainer recalls her Pokémon, as that happened Violet was glowing white light and expanding in size seeing caused Dante to smile with pride for his friend after the light fades it reveals the newly evolved Violet who was now a Golbat.

Seeing caused Rebecca even more worry because her only hope of stopping the Zubat was defeated said Zubat was now a even stronger Golbat now, much to her surprise though Dante recalled his newly evolved Pokémon causing her to question him.

"Why did you Return your Golbat!." Rebecca called out to the other side of the field, after hearing this Dante answered "She may have recovered her stamina from using Leech Life doesn't mean there isn't a chance of her having complications evolving with an injured wing." Explained Dante hearing Made Rebecca understand he then added "Let's wrap this up, Dojin come on out" the Cubone was released onto Dante's side of the field said Pokémon looked ready for a fight.

Seeing this Rebecca responded in kind "Clefairy your the last one" said Pokémon let out a happy cheer when let out.

With both trainer and Pokémon staring at each other waiting for the other to make the next move.
