After the other students arrived I invited Jason over to talk about our plans of how we were going about the gym challenge I told him who I was going after first "I want to fight LT. Surge first then Sabrina after that I'm not to sure on who to take on next after that" what Dante said made Jason question him "Wait a minute you want to battle the two main gym leaders known for making trainers quit altogether and battle them first" after listening to his rant Dante responded "Yeah pretty much the main reason is because I want to start with precisely according to my sister she lost to Surge once and Sabrina three times before winning" explained Dante.
"Well since we're traveling together I'll follow your gym challenge plan" Jason spoke.
After listening on the conversation Rebecca made conversation by stating something "Did you hear there's been a giant Fearow and it's Flock flew down to route one and attacking newbie and some experienced trainers apparently it's so strong that Professor Oak had to get involved with one of his Pokémon to get rid of them till they came back" hearing her say this Dante noted to be careful on the Route, Julian didn't seem to care as he was on his Pokénav doing whatever and Jason eyes let up.
All the sudden an Alakazam teleported right in between the trainers with so much a warning making Rebecca jump and Jason falling down and Julian to glare at it, if the Psychic type noticed their reactions it didn't care as it projected its thoughts into their heads with a female voice "Greetings students my trainer tasked me with transporting you to Pallet town, I ask you all to return your Pokémon so I can get us their in one jump" Dante promptly returned his team.
"Thank you human" Alakazam thanked mentally to everyone
Everyone wasn't prepared for their surroundings shift to darkness and feel like every fiber of their beings pulled through said dark place before they knew they were in front of Professor Oaks lab.
"Jesus Christ I'm never teleporting again" said Jason, Rebecca added to it "That's gonna take some getting used to" she said dizzily.
Both Dante and Julian kept silent about their grievances about the teleportation but both shared the same complaint as Jason as both stood on unsteady legs as a sign of discomfort.
But before everyone could get distracted Dante took charge "Alright everyone we should probably head into the lab now it wouldn't look good on our part" Spoke as he made his way inside the building with Alakazam and other students to meet with the region Professor.
As they were inside the building they saw technology and lab assistants typing and writing down thing that would probably go over their heads as the Psychic lead them through the building they stopped front of an office door the Pokémon knocked on it as the students waited the door swung open and revealed Professor Samuel Oak himself.
Upon seeing the students he smiled as he spoke "Thank you Alakazam you always make these task easier my friend you can return to your mediation room now if you want" hearing this the Psychic teleported away to who's knows where, Julian spoke up "Sorry if this comes off as rude but are we gonna get our Pokédex's soon and do you by chance have a battlefield I could use I need to fight the whit haired guy over there" as the students heard this they were about to correct him when the Professor laughed and said "Ah my apologies come this way I have your Pokédex's in the back and to answer your second question yes I do in my corral out back"
Hearing this Julian and Dante smirked at the prospect of finally fighting, the four students followed the Professor to receive their Pokédex's, after making it to the destination they entered a room filled with computers with data on Pokémon from the Kanto region and some profile labeled National Dex function Dante noticed then paid attention as Professor Oak began to speak "Now you four are the only ones that are getting these Pokédex's for free other than my sponsored trainers of course and since I'm giving these to all of you I ask you do a small favor for me while your all out on your journeys do well and take care of yourself and I mean this to everyone one of you and if you ever need help I'm only one call away, now here" as Samuel Oak finishes he moved out the way of a table which had four Pokédex's on it seeing the four graduates went to collect them as they did this Dante surprised them when he let at his starter Dojin the Cubone.
Upon being released Dojin looked to be confused till Dante told him to hold still to scan him as he pointed the Pokédex at his starter it listed off his moves and other info "This Cubone is above average size for its species standing at 3'11 while the norm is 1'04 and maxes out at 2'0 and is showing signs of evolution and has the special ability Lightning Rod and knows the moves Growl,Mud-Slap,TailWhip,Headbutt,Retaliate,Bone Club,Bone Rush,Focus Energy,Bonemerang,Dig,Brick Break,Double Team,Rock Tomb and finally Aerial Ace, and has access to the egg moves Curse,Detect and Iron Head, hearing this the other graduates were impressed by the amount of moves Dante's starter had at it's disposal.
Though Samuel Oak admired the Cubone's impressive height for its species and asked Dante a question "Dante are you aware of the size types for Pokémon" hearing the question Dante responded "Yes I believe it goes Small,average,large and king size and I'm pretty sure Dojin is among the large variety why do you ask sir" Professor Oak looked to think before he spoke before saying "Well Pokémon being above average size is quite rare and they tend to be physically superior than what their normally capable of, that being said I would you all to call me if you come by such specimens as they tend to be quite elusive and hard to come by" the Professor.
As they students went to leave Julian spoke up "Dante let's go to the field I'm tired of waiting" spoke Julian who looked annoyed, Dante responded "Alright fine but can it be a 1v1 I want at least one of my team to be in top condition before Jason and I go through Route 1" explained Dante hearing this Julian nodded.

No One's POV-
As both Dante and Julian stared at each other from opposite sides of the field as Jason referred and Rebecca and Professor Oak and some female lab assistant who looked to be 5 years older than the graduates and had blood red hair tied up in a bun by a black bow and had chocolate brown eyes and a perfect diagonal scar that went across from the right corner of her lips to the bottom left corner of her chin wearing a white coat with a black shirt underneath as well as black dress pants and shoes, standing beside her was a massive burgundy colored Feline Pokémon that Rebecca scanned and saw that it was called a Liepard and based on the fact the picture showed the Pokémon was naturally purple led to correctly believe it was shiny, noticing it was scanned it gave Rebecca a look that made her feel like a helpless Rattata in front of a hungry Persian the assistant seeing Pokémon intimidating the girl she grabbed it by the scruff of it's neck and plucked it on the nose and said "You know better Burgundy so act like it" hearing this the giant cat rolled its eyes and went at down and groomed her right paw, "I'm sorry about her she tends to get aggressive when she doesn't get to battle after a while" the assistant spoke hearing this Rebecca shrugged the apology off and said "No worries but by any chance are you from the Unova region and a Trainer" asked the brunette the red haired assistant responded "Yes and yes I was born in Unova and got Burgundy when I was 10 then moved here with my dad so he could work under Professor Oak here in pallet town and have have taken on the gym challenge and competed in the league for the past five years but enough about me Mr. West and Heart battle is about to begin" hearing this Rebecca looked towards the Field.
Dante West's POV-
Deciding the staring contest went on long enough and that Dojin was already out I decided to use him for this 1v1 "Dojin let's show them what you got" as the Ground type walked inside the battle fields line he stared at Julian who looked at him with eyes of acknowledgment, Julian grabbed the first ball on his belt and threw it and called out "Halberd let's go" as the green dragon was released he set his crimson eyes on Dijon's eyes and what Halberd saw was strength and pride to back it up almost like the pride his species was known for seeing this he let out a battle cry which Dojin matched as both trainers called out commands to their starters "Dojin/Halberd use Focus Club/Dragon Claw" both Pokémon charged each other one with glowing green claws and one a glowing bone club as they were in range they met with their respective attacks head on Halberd with his right claw was blocking Dojin's club that he was holding with both hands as he Halberd kneel bit what Dojin forget was Halberd's left claw as he went to attack the Ground type with his left did he hear it's master,
"Counter it with Focus Break then Headbutt" hearing this Julian called out his own command "Counter followed by Dragon Pulse" as Dojin was about to land his Focus Break Halberd's left claw glowed with fighting type energy and pushed against his own fist then his face disorienting him to the point he couldn't hear Dante say "Dojin dodge" as Halberd shot out a small rainbow colored blast of dragon type of energy in the shape of a dragon blasting against Dojin sending him flying as he was flying he heard Dante "Dojin use Rock Tomb" hearing this Dojin flipped in the air so his feet could touch the ground as that happened giant rocks erupted directly in front of him and more coming out the ground towards Halberd who was to slow to react as he was square in the stomach which should've sent him flying,
But the small dragon channeled dragon claw into his feet and digging them into the ground so was skidding back instead but wasn't prepared for his opponent erupting from the ground in front of him and slamming its glowing boned club square in his face which sent him flying to the right corner of the field where he landed with a thud.
Seeing his starter being pushed so far made Julian livid but quickly reigned in any frustration to prevent it from clouding his judgement then quickly thought to himself "At least I was right about him being strong I would've been disappointed if he couldn't walk the walk that being said time to turn this around" he quickly called out at the same time Dante did "Halberd/Dojin use Protect and Dragon Pulse/Rock Tomb then Focus-Merang" as Halberd erected a small dome around self as the rocks and bone came flying at him as the rocks were stopped by the protect and the club bounced off he cancelled the move and went to fire off another dragon pulse when he heard his trainer "Halberd move now!" but reacting to slow he got nailed in the back of the head sending him face first into the ground.
Dojin raised his hand as his bone spun its way back to him and caught then headed Dante call out " End this with Aerial Ace and Focus Head" as Dojin flew forward to attack his opponent he noticed right when he was about to make contact the dragon looked right at him and fired another dragon pulse point blank he was to close to use anything to block as he heard Dante let out a cry of worry as he was blasted, as the battle was declared victory for Julian everyone saw Dante run up to Dojin and knelt to pick Dojin up and poured a revive in his mouth when he made sure his starter swallowed it he waited for a solid minute for his starter to wake up but decided to let to return him for now as he stood up after returning Dojin he saw Julian feeding his dragon a oran berry then returning him after congratulating him on his close victory.
Dante walked up to Julian and said "Don't get to comfortable because next time we meet I'll win" Julian looked at Dante and said "Who knows you might actually be a true challenge next" finished with what he said he walked away towards Route 1 Julian thought to himself "That was way to close for comfort" Julian thought mentally.
As Dante went to meet up with the rest of the students they told not to feel to bad about losing he told them "Don't worry guys it wasn't a problem besides this just gives me even more of a reason to get stronger" he declared determinedly, Jason then brought up "So Dante what's the plan to make it to Surge" hearing this the female assistant spoke up "If you make your way through Route 2 you'll find Diglett Cave it'll lead you to the end of Route 11 to Vermilion City I could guide you I was planning on taking Surge on first this year" spoke the assistant until she realized something "Oh looks like I forgot to introduce myself my name is Emily Colten" the redhead now known as Emily said.
Hearing this Dante and Jason said "Yeah that'll be great/Thanks it's a big help" they thanked but before they could leave Dante looked to Rebecca and asked "Do you want to join us" She looked to be considering it then shook her head "No thanks I plan challenge the gyms the traditional way thanks for asking though" as she finished talking she waved them off and headed off.
Dante,Jason and Emily headed off as well after bidding Professor Oak goodbye they made their way to the edge of Pallet town that leads to Route 1 after they were about to take their first steps into the route did Dante and Jason realize their journey was about to officially start.
