"Hope you like it rough baby~" the thug smirked, "'Cuz Team Black'n'Blue is gonna WRECK you!" he stated, "The name's Clock...which is fitting because I'm about to punch YOUR clock!"
"Yeah yeah put your Duel Deck with your mouth is, punk." Akarii huffed, taking her first draw.
Clock: 4000
Akarii: 4000
"First- I'm gonna summon Regenerating Mummy- in attack mode!"
Regenerating Mummy
ATK: 1800
DEF: 1500
"Next...I'll lay down two face downs and end my turn."
"Fine!" said Clock, "I'm gonna set a monster in Defense Mode." he stated, "After that I'll activate this spell card- Veil Of Darkness! With this card...when it comes to my draw phase, if I happen to draw a Dark type monster? I can reveal it to you in order to draw a new card!" he explained, "Next, I'm gonna throw down two face downs and end my turn!"
"My turn then!" said Akarii as she drew from her deck.
"Hold on- I'm gonna take this opportunity to activate a trap!" said Clock, "Curse of Darkness! Whenever a spell card is activated- the controller of that card will take 1000 points of damage!"
Akarii twitched as she looked into her hand.
Well that's gonna sting a bit...
She thought to herself.
Because I have a few Spell Cards in my hand...
she sighed.
I guess I'm just gonna have to be more careful about what ones I choose to activate from here on in...
"I'll summon Red Moon Baby in Attack Mode!" she declared.
Red Moon Baby
ATK: 700
DEF: 1000
"Next- I'll go on the offensive- Regenerating Mummy! Attack his Defensive monster!" Her monster danced the dance of death on on her duel field, raining down a beat down on his face down creature.
"Now with that out of the way, your life points are left open to feed my baby!" she smirked, "Go!"
Clock: 4000- 3300
DEF: 4000
"My turn!" Clock huffed as he drew from his deck. He then tapped into the power of Veil Of Darkness in order tho reveal his Ebon Magician so that he could gain a new card-
"I Summon Strike Ninja!" he stated.
Strike Ninja
ATK: 1700
DEF: 1200
"And this guy's got more than enough wallop to smack that baby!" he declared.
"Not so fast!" said Akarii, "I'm activating my trap card- Draining Shield!" she declared, :This trap not only allows me to negate your attack- but it also lets me gain life points equal to your monster's attack points!"
She smiled as she watched her life point meter go up to 5700
Clock: 3300
Akarii: 5700-4000
"Lucky break..." Clock scoffed, "I'll place one card face down and end my turn!"
"I draw!" said Akarii, "And now- I'm coming for you!" she declared, sending her Mummy to take care of his ninja.
"AUGH!" he grumbled. his life points dropping by another total of 800 points over all.
Clock: 3300- 2500
Akarii: 5700
"It's my turn now!" said Akarii after Clock finished defending on his yet again... much to his demise...this was the final round.
"And the first thing I'm going to do is activate the field spell- Zombie World!" she declared. She whinced her teeth as she took the hit that activating this spell with grant- thanks to his Curse Of Darkness trap card.
Clock: 2500
Akarii: 5700-4700
"Next I'll summon my Pyramid Turtle! In Attack Mode!" she declared, "And prepare yourself because here I come!" she warned, her Regenerating mummy took out his defending creature- leaving his life points open to the remaining of her team-
Clock: 2500- 1300
Akarii: 4700
"Ha! You sure your math's not off?" he smirked, "Even with that last attack, I still have 600 life points left!" he declared, "All I need is one good draw on my next turn and I can turn this around-"
"Only there won't be a next turn for you." Akarii stated, "Because I'm activating a Spell Card!" she declared, "This card is called Thunder Crash...and while it may destroy every monster on my field...you will still take a hit- 300 points worth for every card destroyed." she explained.
"What!? No- but...you have 3 monsters...that means-"
"That's right." said Akarii, "My three monsters fall...but you take 900 points of damage for their demise!" she smirked, "You lose!"
"NOOOOO!"
Clock: 0
Akarii: 4700
The Duel was Akarii's...and her consolation prize was the explosive destruction of her enemy's Duel Disk as her mechanism retracted.

"I guess 'what I got' was too much for you to handle." said Akarii with a scoff. Her Zombies faded from the field as she walked over to the quivering mess that dare stood as an enemy before her. Her eyes were hot but her gaze was cold as she crushed the steaming pile of scrap metal that used to be his duel disk and she glared. "Relying on underhanded tactics to get ahead..." she scoffed, " I suppose you underestimated just how much damage a 'little girl' can do..."
He lay before her, defeated, his duel disk smoking from the fry. and she stood victorious. she exherted alot of energy in that duel.
A mix of anger and frustration.
She thought he was gonna stay down...
It wasn't until her back was turned that she realized it was a mistake to believe that. He had grabbed a rotting piece of lumber from the shadows and prepared to take a swing at her, but he didn't move quick enough. A muscular arm shot from her perifreal vision and grasped his wrist tightly until his weapon fell into useless pieces on the concrete floor.
"It would seem, good sir, that you are a very poor loser~"
A familiar accent cut her ear drum and was followed by a loud thwack of a punch to the man's face.
If he refused to stay down before...
It seemed this time he had no choice...
He was out cold.
"Jack...!" Akarii beamed, a wave of relief washing over her, "Thank goodness- I thought I would have had to get into another fight."
"No one's gonna be hitting girls while I'm around." He scoffed, "Especially not our girl!" he stated as he dusted off his hands,"...Are you all roight, Akarii?"
"Yeah..." she huffed and chuckled," I just needed to let off a little steam...guess he got mad about it." she snickered.
"I'd say you let off a bit too much steam..." Said Yusei nudging the unconsious stiff on the ground with his boot.
"For someone who won her duel, you came out looking like you were the one who got beat up." said Jack.
"Come off it Jack..." Yusei chuckled, "You saw the same match I did...Akarii wiped the floor with him...and then some."
"Wait...you guys were here the whole time!?" she stated, "Gee- would have been nice of you to say something you know!"
"We didn't want to interrupt." said Jack.
"Yeah, well...These punks have been jumping at me left and right," Akarii sighed, "It's exhausting!" she huffed.
"Tell me about it." Chirped Crow as he met up in the little pow wow,"These guys are a joke, they use sneak attacks to overwhelm their enemies."
"Too bad they didn't count on facing smart opponents." Jack scoffed and the red head couldn't help but stifle a giggle.
"Akarii, Where's Kalin?" Yusei asked.
"He went off ahead, I assume he's probably taking on their leader about now..."
"I see...let's go then, incase he needs back up-"
"No Need!" a cheerful Kalin's voice echoed against the dusty wall as 4 more guys ran past their group in a panic.
Most likely the remaining members of the team they were facing. "I already popped these weasles!" he grinned," You missed all the fun~! HaHaHa."
"WOAH! What happened to YOU!?" Crow laughed as Kalin joined, still covered in bruises from his earlier beating,"I heard your scream from down stairs...figured you got caught in the enemy's trap or somthin'-Look at you! Was I right!? HaHa"
Kalin blushed instantly and went off in retaliation,"That guy cheated and jumped me from behind!" he huffed,"Then Akarii showed up and took care of him so I had to release all my pent up frustration on the leader...punks."
" Well now you're just showin off~HaHaHa."
"What's so funny, Crow!?" Kalin snipped.
"Nothin'!" Crow grinned," I just know that it's not fun being the target of your frustrations~" he teased,"I feel bad for the guy, that's all! HaHa."
"Hmph..." Kalin blushed awkwardly and dusted himself off, "Well whatever...come on...let's take one more sweep of the place, make sure there aren't any stragglers left behind."

"Looks like area's all clear." Said Yusei.
"Yeah I haven't found any one else either..." Said Jack.
"And I definitly took care of everyone on the middle level...I made sure of that!" Said Crow in a Huff,"As for the guys upstairs, looks like Kalin and Akarii cleaned house."
"Then I guess that means we now have control of this area too!" Grinned Kalin.
"Thank god..." the girl sighed," They kept coming at me like Spider Monkeys! I'm not sure How I managed." she joked, collapsing onto some rubble in the corner.
It wasn't the most comfortable chair, but hey, when you gotta sit you gotta sit.
"I'm exhausted."
"Sounds to me like you need more intense training, 'little girl'" Kalin snorted teasingly and she puffed her cheeks.
"Awe come ooooonnnnnn~ I beat them didn't I!?"
"Yeah that's true...I guess you did." Kalin's jest soon settled into a warm expression,"Thanks for your help back there, Akarii, I couldn't have done it without you."
"Don't start celebrating just yet..." said Jack,"We still have a lot to take care of before Satellite is completly ours you know."
"Nothin' wrong with celebrating now though!" said Crow,"So what next?"
"Don't get ahead of yourself Crow, We need to know what we're up against first." Said Yusei.
Kalin may have been their leader but Yusei has always been the voice of reason amonst them.
"Yeah, Yusei is right..." said Kalin,"First we should make sure we are in top shape, let's rest up and take care of any injuries we may have gotten...show no weakness, am I right?"
"Yeah sounds good." said Crow," I should probably get home and make sure the chicks in my nest have some food to eat tonight...you comin' Akarii?"
"Huh? Oh, uh...yeah...I'll catch up in a bit." she said softly.
Crow's eyes lingered on her with concern but he didn't dare press further, at least not in front of the guys.
Once she got home however, she was sure he would bombard her with questions...
"Well, all right then." he said softly," Just Don't linger too long though okay?"
"Got it."
After waving his farewell Crow took his leave and she rested against the back wall.
"Man, Crow sure likes to dote on you doesn't he?" Kalin teased.
"Yeah he's always been like that." said Yusei,"Ever since we were kids...I think I'm gonna head out too."
"Wait up Yusei, I'll come with you." said Kalin, "Good work team...I'll notify you when I have scoped out our next target."
And with that...only Jack and Akarii were left.
A silence rested between them. This was common for them. Common...and comfortable.
"...You all roight, Girlie?"
She felt her body twitch, startled by Jack's sudden question.
"O-Oh yeah, are you kidding!?" the girl laughed and hopped straight to her feet, " I could go on and take them all-" she said that, but her balance betrayed her as she lost her footing, instantly caught in the strong arms of Jack Atlas.
"Oh I'm sooo scared of you~" he scoffed in heavy tone of playful sarcasm," Feirce, indeed!"
She blushed and puffed her cheeks awkwardly averting his gaze. She thought she heard him snicker, and in the corner of her eye she saw that he wore a crooked smile and turned, lowering himself to her level, with his back to her.
"Hop on, Girlie..." he said,"You might not say it, But I know that your body is exhausted." Trying to rebuttle in stubborn disobedience, she sighed and finally gave in to his gesture, giggling lightly at her defeat.
"Thanks...Jak-Jak." she said softly by his ear as she let her weight rest against his strong back.
Jack was tall and strong... so when he lifted her from the ground, she would close her eyes and it would be as if she were floating.
"Hmph...whatever." he huffed, taking slow, heavy steps, careful to keep her in place,"...And Don't call me Jak-Jak..."
