Chapter 1
The Red Ocean of the Leaf. The Legend of the Fourth Hokage.
This wasn't meant to happen. Screw that . This wasn't fucking meant to happen!. Thoughts like that were the only thoughts on a certain redhead mind. What was supposed to be the greatest day of her life. Everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong and more.
The story of her life for every good thing it happen to her twice bad happen just right after.
Not only the fox escaped of the seal while she was defenseless, her personal guard was massacred, her son kidnapped, and she was just post partum and barely walking had to fight for her life. If it wasn't for Minato.
And then the dam broke . It looked all the stress of the previous night just strike her and the woman just cried , cried in a way she didn't do after learning her birth place and her parents were massacred, cried in a way she didn't after coming back to look for survivors and seeing her loved ones and relatives decapitated in the street while scavengers eat their remains.
Her Minato the love of her life , her partner, her confidant—was dead. Forced to use a forbidden technique to defeat the monstrous creature now sealed within her and her son's belly, he had sacrificed himself for the sake of the village.
Amidst her grief and anguish, Kushina's mind raced with a whirlwind of emotions. Anger, sorrow, guilt—they consumed her, threatening to drown her in their depths.
After all it was her fault some mistakes she made as Hokage she should have been more cautious and now her arrogance was paying the price. She stuck in her room punching the wall like if it something was going to change for her wrath.
Still it did felt good to Punch someone specially when she imagined it was some mask wearing weirdo.
Kushina thought were interrupted by the sudden appearance of a young redheaded woman wearing the typical chunin outfit of Konoha.
"Sorry for the interruption my lady. But the young master was already put to sleep" Said the woman with caution she knows that the woman had an already big temper and after the previous night who could blame her for trying to rip the head of the first fool that tried to talk with her. So her comrades choose her as the sacrifice. Lucky her,
"Thanks Honoka-chan. I don't really had the strength to do it. Not after tonight" said the woman in a calm tone that was totally out of character with her normal personality that surprised Honoka.
"It was a pleasure Lady Hokage" Honoka said while bowing to her leader.
"But i know you didn't come to talk about my son" Said Kushina she knows her subordinates, but most of all she knows her clan relatives .When the elders complained years ago that it was irresponsible to sent a little girl alone to Konoha they sent a small group of relatives to help take care of her and watch the sealing.
Little did they know that was one of the only reason the Uzumaki Clan survived. That small group of Uzumaki's worked with Hokage and searched for survivors. While they didn't so many as they wanted . Right now they had the reputation as Konoha smallest clan which was worse that extinction
Honoka herself was just a little girl selling her knowlegde of selling in a small village in the Land of Lighthing when Kushina herself found her. A little pet project the Sandaime gave her as reward for her war efforts.
Sadly her work and the 3rd great shinobi world war didn't gave her much time to develop the close relationship that Kushina wanted but still Honoka felt confident enough to be sincere with her Hokage and personal idol.
So that why is a surprise to Kushina to see Honoka so reluctant to talk with her. " Is the council and the other clan heads after everything that happened they wanted to have you make an official statement" Explain Honoka trying to avoid her leader glance obviously the woman wanted to give Kushina time alone to grieve and process everything that happened.
Kushina just pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed she knew she needed to do this sooner or later. "Honoka. I need your help lifting me up. Whoever said giving birth is easy is a lying asshole" Kushina said extending her arms.
"But my lady!, You need to rest! after everything that happened you more that anyone need to rest" Said Honoka surprising Kushina in all her years Honoka never raised her voice to the older woman she respected her too much.
Normally Kushina would joke about her little cousin outburst. But today she wasn't in the mood for jokes "Maybe you're right. But right now I'm not just a shinobi I'm also a the Hokage and the sad part is that life isn't fair" Kushina while preparing to put her robe and went looking for her hat. After all she was the Hokage she had a responsability and you know what they say "Heavy is the head that wear the Crown" and liked it or not Kushina Uzumaki was the Yondaime Hokage.
If somebody asked Kushina when her journey to be arguably the strongest woman in the ninja world . After all she was not only the first and only female Kage in history. It wasn't with her Parents or even the academy . It began on her own home.
On the day she was kidnapped by ninja of Kumo just outside her house . Luckily for her she had the great idea of leaving a trail with her red hair and one of her classmates Minato Namikaze came to her rescue. However those ninja weren't common bottom of the barrel ninja. But trained killers who were expecting to fight experienced Uzumaki clan members in the hope to rescue their clanswoman.
So after Minato freed her of her bonds both had to fight for their life to escape. It was a tough fight but they won in the end . Probably the first real fight Kushina who before that was always proud of her strength ever fought. But the price was too high.
Minato left arm and leg. One Kumo ninja shot lighting directly to Minato who while a talented ninja was still just a genin. Minato's career was over before it truly began or at least that was the opinion of the medics and the people of the village.
Minato always the optimist never let that set him back and thanks to his hard work he still managed to become a respectable A rank ninja and sensei.
Kushina on the other hand felt so guilty that she didn't speak to Minato for months. After all it was her weakness and ego that caused that problem. It served as a wake up call to the Uzumaki, she trained harder that she ever did and quickly made a name for herself as a kunoichi.
The next time they met was in a fight between them in the chunin exams. The sight of Minato's prostheses was enough to make Kushina want to quit their fight at the instant.
The punch Minato throw to her jaw that day ,was enough to change her mind, "I don't want your pity. I never did. You're my comrade and i would have done the same for everyone in this village , because that was a shinobi does. They endure so other don't".
Kushina admited Minato had a way with words. but it was what she needed to hear. It almost make her feel bad for the beating she gave him just 2 seconds later.
Almost.
Still Kushina was promoted and Minato didn't and then just a few years later the third great ninja war happened. In hindsight her kidnapping was a huge red flag.
So there it was just 16 year old Chunin Uzumaki Kushina commanding her classmates who saw her as an outsider and men sometimes much older than her. It was ridiculous but so was War . Kushina was forced to mature faster that she should and do things that to this day she isn't proud of. However it worked and the world knew the Famous Red Ocean of Konoha S-Rank jounin Uzumaki Kushina terror of the other nations and heroine of the battle of Nagekakure Sea,
The next big event in her life was when Mito-san revealed the real reason why Kushina was brought to Konoha.
The Kyuubi
A powerful demon that once ravaged across the land of fire, bringing death and destruction in its wake. Kushina's blood ran cold as she listened to her once beloved maternal figure request. To become a Jinchuriki. The Power of Human Sacrifice. A vessel with the ability to command the power of a demon . with the hope that at the hands of a human they could bring their true potential. But she remembered Minato's words so many years ago "Because that was a shinobi does. They endure so other don't".
To this day she never truly mastered the beast power but she was already an S-rank shinobi. She never needed it, just four tails was enough to beat Kumo perfect Jinchuriki and the current Raikage at the same time she knows , she already did it.
After that fateful Chunin exams Minato asked Kushina to teach him Fuinjutsu, Kushina still feeling guilty helped him and they began a close friendship which later evolved to love and ended in a Marriage.
After the third Ninja war ended Hiruzen crowned Kushina as the new Hokage while some people didn't approve the idea of an outsider or a Jinchuriki gaining that amount of power, they were quickly silenced by the majority ,even the Famous Sannin didn't hold a candle to Kushina Accomplishments.
And so it began the story of Kushina the Yondaime Hokage.
Kushina finished putting her robes on and adjusted her hat, she didn't want to do this. But she knew her people needed her. She can't crumble not right now.
Kushina straightened her posture, steeling herself for the task ahead. Despite the heaviness in her heart, she knew that she couldn't allow her grief to consume her—not when her people relied on her leadership the most.
"Come on, you have done this a million times"She told herself adter all she didn't just need to protect the village. Now she has a son to protect and no one will hurt him ever again. That was a promise for a lifetime
AN= this is my hall of ideas. I'm going to publish some prompts that may turn into stories this will include not just normal fics but also crossovers.
This one will explore one of the ideas i never saw explore to his true potential . What if Kushina become hokage and how she dealt with her widowhood, raising her son and ruling her village
