A/N: Okay, first Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!

As a Christmas present I'm posting another chapter with this one, I hope you like it!

CHAPTER 31

As they waited in the next room, Tim contemplated a fact he hadn't realized. This Bruce's Jason wasn't the Red Hood yet...but he was probably already with Thalia! He could warn Bruce! There was still time to stop Jason from going crazy and full of hatred for everything and everyone!

Tim was about to get up when he felt a familiar hand grab him by the arm and steady him in the chair.

Steph leaned in and whispered as she watched the room chatter. ''I know you well and I know what you're thinking, we'll talk to them at the mansion. If his story is anything like yours...and part of mine, then Jason and Damian are in the league."

''If Damian exists in his world, then he must be a baby or a very young child.'' Tim whispers back.

''Damian is six years younger than you... at least in my world. He must be nine or ten years younger than Jason. There's a lot of chance they'll both be found there, at least for this Bruce."

''What about mine?''

Steph gave him a sideways look. ''Are you going after Damian ahead of time?''

''From what I've seen, Duke is another one who seems to know us. I'll look for it too. Maybe my Jason can't be recovered, but both of them can.''

''Ask Dick to talk to him. Let them sort themselves out before making a decision."

Tim nodded.

''Are we going to tell this Bruce about Damian?'' he asked.

''Batman is an expert, he is not the greatest detective for nothing, he must already be looking. Of all the biological children that have appeared so far, Damian is the only one with a chance of existing here.''

''But the timelines don't match...''

She snorted.

''Nothing in this world has a date that matches ours, Tim. Damian may very well exist here... Kon exists.''

''A lot of people don't.''

''We don't know that. They might just not have shown up. Look, we can leave a list of important people for the timeline with Batman... as well as a list of members of the Batfamily.''

Tim snorted a laugh. ''How long until Babs and Bette come in?''

''I don't know. I didn't even know Bette was a batgirl.''

''Me neither. I thought she was just the Flamebird."

''Is she the Flamebird?''

Everyone stood around and the duo noticed that Jason and Bruce entered the room as if nothing had happened.

''Home.'' Batman exclaimed and left the room.

Followed by ten robins. If the situation wasn't serious, it would be hilarious.

They made a quick stop at the infirmary to pick up Kara and Helena, the group headed to the batcave.

Superman had gotten permission from everyone in the league and the team was able to move there. The palace was once again being investigated by the heroes to make sure it was safe while the other heroes completely disabled mound of justice.

Meanwhile Batman has taken the Robins to Gotham, more specifically Wayne Manor. Helena and Kara stayed downstairs in the cave, as Helena still needed to be under medical supervision and the cave was the best place for that. The others went upstairs and took over the main living room.

Apparently it was agreed that this room was the place for the post-patrol nap, as everyone, with the exception of Bruce and Duke, threw themselves on the couches and passed out soon after.

At least everyone gave Alfred a hug before going up to the mansion.

Needless to say, Alfred was excited that the manor was full again.

''I at least hoped they'd eat a little before bed.'' The butler arranged the blanket over Helena as she spoke and handed a second blanket to Kara, who thanked her.

''They've had a long night Al, let them get some sleep. They can eat later.'' Batman took off his hood and went into the locker room to change out of his uniform.

Alfred nodded. ''Very well, then I think I'd better go buy clothes and personal hygiene items for our guests. He looks at Duke and cracks a smile. ''Would you like to accompany me, Master Duke?''

Duke warmed to that, he always liked Alfred because the old butler always seemed to notice that he didn't like to sit still. ''Of course Al... I just...''

''Don't worry, I think I have something you can use until we come back with new clothes.'' The butler left the cave with the youngest, both talking softly.

Bruce looked around. This cave was different from his. Rather than being spread around the entire perimeter of the cavern and divided into multi-story levels using the surrounding small caverns as other rooms, this cavern was centered on a platform in the main cavern with only two levels higher than where the computer sat. It was noticeably smaller.

The lack of new costumes on the windows was another reminder of where she was. Jason's lack of uniform mostly. Bruce looked to where the suit was in his world. Maybe this cave will never get that specific addition, and Bruce was grateful for that.

Damn, he wanted to cry again. That younger body...

''Is it very different?'' His counterpart asked as he walked out of the locker room, dressed in civilian clothes.

''Yes.'' He didn't say more about it.

Bruce...

A/N: This is very confusing. Let's call Bruce YJ Bruce and Bruce COMICS Wayne, okay? So I don't get confused and neither do you. Okay, coming back...

Bruce nodded, apparently he wasn't very good with conversations in other worlds either. Excellent.

''I think you better get some sleep, I have to write the reports. Alfred and Duke won't be back for a while.''

''I'm not tired.'' was the answer. ''But I will go upstairs. If you need me, I'll be in the main room.''

Watching the Robins. That part he didn't need to say for Bruce to understand. This version of him had lost a Robin, it was obvious he would spend as much time looking after the others as possible.

Wayne went upstairs and Bruce went to the batcomputer as he yawned.

Kara shook her head at the two of them and settled into the comfortable chair in the cave infirmary. She fell asleep soon after with the sound of the keyboard in the distance and Helena's soft breathing beside her.

'' RECOGNIZED, KID FLASH B03. SUPERBOY B05. ARTEMIS B07.''

It had been hours since the attack on the cavern, Kaldur and M'gann hadn't been able to sleep, and they were on the main platform of the watchtower when they heard the zeta tube announce their friends.

A red and yellow streak stopped in front of the duo. ''Are you all right? Are the Robins okay? What happened?''

''Wally let them talk!'' Artemis put a hand on the speedster's shoulder.

''Okay, okay.'' He takes a deep breath.

''Everyone is fine, just a few scratches.''

''I shouldn't have left the cave.'' Superboy muttered to himself.

''It's not your fault Superboy. We had no way of knowing they were going to break in.'' M'gann put a hand on his shoulder.

''I could have listened to them before they came in.''

''Kara only heard them when they were already entering. There was no way for us to know.'' M'gann repeated.

''I could still have done something... warned someone.''

''M'gsnn is right Superboy. There was nothing that could be done. It was a sudden attack. No one expected this.'' Kaldur put a hand on the clone's shoulder. ''And as for the Robins, they're safe, Batman took them to the cave.''

''Flash said there were two more,'' Superboy muttered.

''Yes, indeed they did…'' Kaldur was interrupted when the computerized voice rang out behind them.

'' RECOGNIZED, RED ARROW B04.''

''Roy!'' Green Arrow's voice rang out in the room and everyone looked towards the direction. In fact Oliver and a few other League members were walking towards them.

''I knew it!'' Roy yelled as he pointed an accusing finger at the team. ''I told you I had a double agent on the team!''

''What?'' M'gann's eyes widened.

Kaldur took a step forward.

''Roy, there is no evidence of a double agent.''

''The mountain has been attacked!''

Wonder Woman chose that moment to speak. ''The location of the mountain wasn't exactly a secret. In my opinion it took a long time for them to realize that the base was still operational.

'' The machine is the main reason for them to invade, for our data. Batman and our scientists discovered that the materials used to make the machine work no longer exist. Not here at least.'' Oliver explained.

''The presence of the Robins was a secret.''

''Komandr and some villains saw Steph.'' Canary tried to calm him down.

''Who?''

''One of the Robins.''

This seemed to have an effect on the younger Ranger, but it was short-lived as he frowned again. ''It might be. But you know something is wrong here. The villains have gotten a lot of information about us. Information that only someone in our midst would know!

''And how do you know that?'' Artemis asked him.

''Cheshire.''

Artemis froze.

''She's been bragging about it for days.''

''And you trust her?'' Wally asked in exasperation.

''Normally not, but she told me something that there was no way for her to know by normal means. She told me to hide in the security of the watchtower. How does she know about this place?

''Let's calm down now.'' Wonder Woman stepped between them. ''We'll have a meeting in half an hour about that. Until then, I want everyone calm."

''But.''

''But nothing. It's been a long night and we have to consider every detail. Something tells me this isn't over.''

With that sentence all the heroes present looked at the Amazon. If she felt the need to mention it, then something was really wrong.
