CHAPTER 34.

Superman takes a seat when everyone arrives in the meeting room, already taking their seats.

''Welcome, everyone. This is the first meeting of the Justice League together with the team.

''Can we please cut to the chase?'' Roy crosses his arms.

With a sigh Clark nods. ''Very good. Batman, you may proceed.

Bruce doesn't waste any time and starts talking. ''Everyone here knows about the arrival of Robins from other worlds and about the machines that the team recovered a few days ago. The pendrive is almost decoded and the machines are safely stored. This is all a bigger plan or Ra's wouldn't have sent his ninjas into the mountain. Was it an act of desperation, or a test.'' He gauges everyone's reaction. ''First of all I must warn you that the mountain is officially disabled.''

''What?'' the team members asked.

''It's past time, it wasn't safe to keep them there.''

''Wait a minute Batman, what do you mean by test?'' Green Arrow asked.

''The machine was originally being sold and later its final version was also attempted to be sold. This is a fact. And considering what she does, I think the answer to the question is obvious, they wanted to bring in people from other worlds, maybe for multiversal smuggling or maybe get an army of one person from different worlds, anything is possible. They wanted to know if it works, hence the attack."

''But you said they couldn't be redone.'' Dinah exclaimed.

'' And they can't, their minerals used are rare and they are over, they used everything in the creation of the machines. ''

''But what's the use of knowing if it worked if they don't have the machines?'' Aquaman asked.

''They tried to catch them, didn't they?'' Roy looked at him. ''That brings me to what I wanted to talk to you about. There is a double agent on the team."

''Again with that?'' Artemis asked angrily.

''I don't believe it's anyone in the league, so yes, I'm bringing up that question again. Had fights with Jade, she knows about the tower. She knows too much."

''I think it was just a security breach Roy.'' J'onn comments.

''How could it be a failure?''

''Maybe not a conscious double agent.'' Hawkgirl speaks, interrupting everyone.

''How?'' Roy asks after a minute.

''Maybe it could be a sleeper agent. Don't know you're a double agent. I've seen something similar in Tanagar.

Everyone stops to reflect. That… made sense.

''After this meeting I want everyone to do a mental checkup with J'onn.''

''Isn't this an invasion of privacy?'' Kon asks.

"I agree." Artemis crossed his arms.

'' Why would you agree? Maybe she doesn't want to get caught.'' Roy pointed at her.

''Roy!'' Dinah exclaimed.

''I'm not a double agent!''

''So what are you afraid of?''

''You know what, I'm going to be the first to take this test!''

''Please don't fight.'' Miss Martian begs.

''This goes beyond a simple snitch, there's something wrong going on, and everyone knows it.'' Roy stands up.

Before anyone can say anything the tower alarms start ringing.

Flash disappears and reappears seconds later.

''There is an alien attacking the city of Jump City. She looks young, but she's out of control. Fire powers.''

''Batman we can...'' Aqualad was interrupted by the bat.

''No, you had a long night, stay here, let us take care of it.''

''But...'' Superboy tried to speak, but Superman put a hand on the clone's shoulder.

''Let us take care of this, please.''

The league didn't wait for an answer as it got up and left the team in the conference room. Although only a few went to Jump, the older heroes didn't want even more discussion from them.

''Do we have a vision of the alien?'' Batman asked from the pilot's seat of the ship. He, Black Canary and Green Arrow followed the others in the jet.

''Yes. Redhead, about five feet tall, completely green eyes. Maybe thirteen or fourteen. It's destroying everything it sees.'' J'onn's voice came over the comms.

''I think she's from Tamaran. He bears physical resemblance to the villain the team faced a few days ago. Komand.'' Superman replied.

''Do you think she could be that heroine of Tim and Steph's world?'' Dinah looked at the bat.

''Perhaps.''

''I don't think a heroine would destroy a city.'' Barry snorted. ''Arriving on site.''

''Coming in five minutes.'' Batman confirmed.

''We can't hurt her, not if she's a hero.'' Dinah muttered.

''Right now she's not a hero.'' Batman looked at her.

''But she is a child.'' was the retort.

The two looked at each other for a few seconds while Oliver whistled.

The image of the location finally appeared on the screen and so did the girl.

''That's weird.'' Clark commented over the communicators. He had arrived.

'' Uh guys? She doesn't seem to be attacking.'' The Flash's voice rang out again.

''No, she looks...'' Dinah's eyes widened.

''Being trying to get the handcuffs off.'' Batman pursed his lips. '' You see those irons in her hands, she hits them in places, she's trying to free herself. The destruction is not intentional."

''Superman, try to approach, slowly. Try to help her.'' J'onn asks.

''Understood. Attention, no one comes near, J'onn, stay as close to me as you can, but don't approach her.

''Wait!'' Oliver almost jumps on top of the controls. ''Can she understand us?''

''We hope so,'' Batman replied.

''I'll translate if necessary.'' J'onn interrupts.

''Superman, come closer.''

' I can't believe they were like that! Em let us say nothing or go help.'' Kid Flash paces back and forth in the conference room.

''With what happened in the last few hours I honestly don't blame them, they want to protect us.'' Kaldur explains.

''It's not an excuse, we're heroes too!'' Superboy responds.

Roy shakes his head and stands. '' I'm not going to be moldy in this room, I'm going to go for a walk. ''

''Wish Robin were here in the tower, he would have hacked into the systems and let us see what's going on.'' Artemis sighed.

Roy left the room and headed down the hall to explore the room.

Alfred placed the snacks on the coffee table in the main living room of the mansion. He was glad the mansion was full again, he couldn't lie. Even if it was temporary. These youngsters were very well educated, well, at least their alternate versions managed to keep them educated, that was good.

''My Pennyworth looks the same age as you.'' Damian exclaimed as he reached for a pastry. ''How old are you?''

''Damian!'' Carrie looked at him indignantly.

''What?''

''You don't ask how old Alfred is.'' Jason responds as he tries to grab a book from an annoyingly high shelf at the side of the room.

''Why not?''

''Because...''

Alfred held back a laugh as he listened to why, honestly, it was hilarious that they thought they couldn't ask that.

The ninjas entered the cave through one of the side caves. This time the uniforms were lined with lead, so Kara didn't hear them in the side caverns. As soon as they reached the main cavern, two of them threw Kryptonite rocks and sleeping gas firecrackers. The gas enveloped the cave quickly before dissipating and the ninjas entered.

The Terminated emerged from the shadows and made two hand gestures. One ninja went to the neatly folded uniforms in the closet and two others went to the infirmary.

As soon as they were sure that the Kryptonian was passed out, one of them turned off the monitors and sensors and took Helena in his arms. The girl was still in uniform.

As soon as the ninja left the cave with the girl Slade made another hand gesture and the others started up the stairs.

''It's okay!'' Clark held up his hands when the girl looked at him. ''I want to help you.''

She answers, but none of them could understand anything.

''I don't think she understands us.'' Flash muttered into the communicators.

''J'onn.'' Superman called.

The girl's eyes lit up and she went back to slamming the handcuffs on the building. Superman reached out to pick her up, but she kicked him when he got close.

Judging by Clark being thrown across the street, the girl has super strength.

'' Hold her. We need to count her." Batman commands.

''No, we're just going to scare her even more!'' Superman stood up, approaching again.

''She's too scared, I can't do the translation.'' J'onn warned.

''Superman, now.''

Clark looked at the girl. ''I won't hurt you, but I need you to stop.''

She ignored him and continued hitting the building.

He sighed. ''I'm sorry.'' And he grabbed her in a hug from behind and carried her upstairs, pulling her out of town as she tried to fight him.

When they were on the border of the city, she broke free and began to attack him.

The ninjas follow the corridors, listening and following the noise of conversations.

The devices confirmed that everyone was in the living room and they had their orders, so it didn't take long for them to come into the room and throw smoke pellets and sleeping pills into the room.

Damian got to his feet as soon as the smoke rose, the others following. Some started coughing.

''Get out of here...'' Damian fainted.

The smoke grew even thicker as Jason passed out, followed by Tim and Rochelle. Seconds passed.

Alfred grabbed the young man closest to him by the arm and tried to pull him away when he felt the young man pass out too, it was B.J. The butler coughed as he tried to pull the boy away and look for the others.

Dick was glowing when he fell, but nobody knew it.

The robot ran to the door and found the ninjas. He overpowered two before being defeated by Deathstroke, who pointed his sword at Helena, who was in the arms of one of the ninjas. They came ready for this attack. The robot raised its hands and surrendered.

Meanwhile on the other side of the room, Alfred was on the verge of passing out when he abruptly managed to get out with a little help, who hid him in a hallway closet. The newcomer ran to the batcave to activate the alarms.
