The moment Alice reached her home, she immediately realized that something was off. For one, her door was unlocked and Alice was sure that she locked it right before she had left with her friends. Second, one of her previously closed windows was now open. Third, even with all the rain, Alice could tell that someone or something had searched the outside of her home for a way in. Lastly, her hidden backup key was also missing and there were only two people other than her who knew about it and used it the most.
The first being Marisa due to her kleptomaniac nature and the second was Shinki. Still, Alice knew that neither of them had been in her house as of late, since Shinki was still too busy to visit while Marisa was obviously at Yuuka's place.
Upon entering, Alice was shocked to see the mess inside her home. It looked as if a child had somehow managed to break in and spend the best time of their life in there. Checking the dining room, she saw that one of the spoons had been used and a sizable portion of both Marisa's and Patchouli's dishes were missing. As for her sandwiches and cookies, there were two very messy written handnotes that she could barely read. The only words that she could make out were "sorry", "food", and "chair" all of which were misspelled.
Speaking of chairs, all three chairs were missing from the dining room. Alice tried summoning her dolls, Shanghai and Hourai, to help her find the chairs but neither one of them came. Heading to their temporary resting area, Alice found where all the chairs had gone. Not only was her chair in pieces, but it seemed like someone had been using the chairs to get an item from Alice's bookshelf. The contents of said shelf had been scattered across the floor. Thankfully, none of the items were damaged and with the aid of her dolls, the mess should be cleaned up after a few seconds. Still, said dolls were currently trapped behind this shelf as the scattered items prevented Alice from removing the "cover" shelf that hid her dolls away from thieves.
"Shanghai and Hourai are still not here. I wonder what's taking them so long."
Alice went upstairs to search for more clues and discovered her neatly stacked and folded towels had been turned into lumps while wrapping something. Next to them was a tiny set of clothes that didn't belong to any of the dolls she owned. Unwrapping the lump, Alice found a little wet doll without her clothes. The doll was shivering as it slept and her lack of clothes didn't help her situation.
"Oh you poor thing. I'll fix you up in a moment. Just stay right here for now."
Alice set the naked doll on some baby blankets that Shinki had given her in an attempt to help her make blankets for her dolls. As much as she wanted to help the doll, she needed to find out who broke into her home and whether or not the infiltrator was still there. She also needed to find where her two most trusted and dependable dolls had gone as they were certainly taking their time to answer her.
"Shanghai! Hourai! This isn't funny! Come out immediately!"
Alice waited a few seconds before she went to her room.
"Those two are going to be in big trouble when I find them."
Upon entering, she saw that someone had clearly tried to sleep in each one of their beds.
"Not surprising," thought Alice. Aside from the doll in the bathroom, the culprit did not leave any clues as to who had been using her house while she was gone. If she was going to get to the bottom of this, she would need to recruit Reimu and Remilia.
Lucky for Alice, she didn't need to. To her surprise, the culprit was still in her home, sleeping in her bed. In the culprit's arms were none other than Shanghai and Hourai, both of which were struggling to escape from their embracer's arms.
"Just as I thought. It seems that a child broke into my home. But who is this girl? Why is she still here? How did she even get her? What happened to her?"
Alice's mind had been plagued with dozens of questions but she knew that at this point in time, she wasn't going to get any answers. After adjusting the blankets and signaling both of her dolls to stay with the girl, Alice went back to her bathroom and began fixing the doll's clothes. After she finished, she redressed the doll and tucked her into the same bed Medicine slept in.
"Marisa and Patchouli are never gonna believe me"
Alice took one last look at the sleeping tsukumogami before picking up a few raincoats and leaving.
"What took you so long?" asked Patchouli.
Alice had finally returned with the raincoats for her friends. The storm was still raging outside and Yuuka had been making some replacement furniture with the other guests.
"You probably wouldn't believe me if I just told you," answered Alice. "Yuuka wouldn't either though I think you guys would once I show you what happened at my house."
Everyone halted their activities and turned to Alice.
"Did someone break in?" asked Marisa.
"As a matter of fact, yes, someone did," answered Alice. "Yuuka, mind if we leave right now?"
Yuuka shook her head. "I don't mind but I'm coming with you three."
"Wait! Are you sure the fairies should be left on their own?" asked Koakuma.
"Yes. Minoriko and Shizuha said they'll help keep an eye on them while I'm gone."
Right on cue, the two autumn sisters appeared and began helping some fairies that were making a chair.
"Alright. But once you enter my home, you're gonna need to be quiet," said Alice.
