So here we give some backstory and I realized that the weird 'water scrying thing' that seems to be a signature of the Nexus world as seen in The Ultimate Ninja episode is perfect for the Daimyo to give a visual aid for his audience

First thing the Daimyo did was go over to an indoor fountain and take some water into his hand, then he came over to Lotus and spoke words in a strange language to the water in his hand...Lotus gasped as the water leapt out of his hand and formed...A picture in the air like a little TV Screen!

"You see Young Snake-Child…" The Daimyo began to say

I have a name, Sir!" Lotus huffed like the pampered child she was, she felt herself straining in her anger to keep from 'Hissing' her S sounds which is something Snake Humanimals are prone to do when upset which on Mizzer because of the shame surrounding everything relating to the animals they once were is a source of great shame for all Mizzer Snake Humanimals

"I understand you're upset…" The Daimyo sighed "...But I ask you to be patient with me because I am a very busy man, and I have a lot of work coming up, unfortunately, you're a bit of an emergency case that was dumped in my lap at the last minute…You remind me a lot of my own Son, always impatient! Always wanting what he wants right now!"

And Lotus remembered her own Dad talking like that when exasperated, and remembering that the emergency sirens were going off when she was kidnapped she realized this Daimyo probably really did mean everything he said

"OK…" Lotus sighed coiling her lower body a kind of rough 'sitting position for a Snake Humanimal "...I'll listen."

Daimyo cleared his throat as he resumed his story. "You see the being in the water mirror?"

Lotus peered at it the figure seemed to be a being that initially seemed similar to himself but upon closer inspection though she had a snake's scaly skin she had a human face!

"This is the Great Naga Mother...The Daimyo said "...A Great Snake Spirit...She has dominion over all Snakes across the Multiverse...And she has a great responsibility...She has to choose which Snakes will be given the gift of one of her many snake powers! You were chosen from before you were hatched to possess her gift of hypnotism...A talent many snakes can posses but you are the Ultimate Hypnotist! You can hypnotize and thus mind-control others with very little effort! Have you never noticed how you hold everyone under your sway when you dance?"

That sent a chill down Lotus' spine "I thought...They just liked it...Cuz I was so good at dancing…"

The Daimyo sighed again "I was told your world had suppressed all belief in the supernatural...Quite ironic since all you...Humanimals are magical creatures…"

"We are?!" Lotus gulped

"Yes you are all made my Fae Magic but the humans tell you it was science…"

"Fairies are real?!" Lotus squeaked

"One thing at a time please!" Daimyo said "Because of this talent you possess you were unfortunately could not stay in your home dimension because your world was about to be invaded by the Wranglers...Your planet is the exception not the rule...On almost every other human colonized world in your dimension the humans treat their Humanimals as slaves but now they have a slave shortage after going through them like tissue paper...So they...Invaded your planet to take all the Humanimals as slaves…"

And Lotus began to cry "So what's gonna happen to Mom and Dad?"

"That I can not say…" Sighed Daimyo "...I am no arbiter of fate the important thing is...That if the Wranglers captured you and realized your talent for hypnotism they would have forced you to do wicked things to become a tool for them to control humans and Humanimals alike! For reasons you shall learn about soon that couldn't happen for many reasons! So it was decided you will live here in the Nexus in a state some humans call...Witness protection program...You are my guest, but you are also not to discuss with anyone else who you are and where you come from!"

So Lotus isn't quite as bratty as Arctica or some other Mizzer Humanimals from my Fictionpress stories but she's obviously been treated like a Princess most of her life.
