The Slime and the 2nd Year
Kazuto: Come on Kazuto, you got this.
For those who are curious as to what I'm up to let me explain. Right now I was in the cave early in the morning practicing my magic, a few weeks back I was looking through my dad's old tomes and I found an interesting spell that I have been wanting to try out. After doing a considerable amount of research I began practicing it but I have been having difficulty in getting the basics of it down. Whether it's because the spell is more advanced than I anticipated or because I lacked the necessary magicules or skills needed to successfully pull it off I wasn't sure. As soon as the cavern began to glow with a blinding light it immediately shattered as the spell ended in failure again.
Kazuto: Oh come on! That's the tenth time it broke!
Great Sage: Through repeated attempts your success rate with this spell has gone up by 0.5%.
Kazuto: Only that much? At this rate I'll be an old man before I make any progress. Might as well stop here and shower before I get some breakfast, the bus should be here soon and I don't want to be late.
I walked back to the house and got myself ready to begin my new year at Yokai Academy. Over the course of our vacation from school I have made some progress with my abilities. I got some new magic attacks thanks to an old tome I found in my dad's collection and my relationship with the girls has been steadily improving. I then sat at the table as dad was eating his breakfast alongside mom.
Dad: So are you ready to begin the new year son?
Kazuto: As ready as I'll ever be I guess, I just hope this year isn't crazier than last year.
Mom: Hopefully you're right. At least you have some wonderful girlfriends to take care of you. Who knows maybe you'll even find a few more.
Dad: That would be something, I can already tell that when you make us grandparents those kids of yours are going to be spoiled by your mother.
Mom: Don't act like you won't do the same thing. Still as much as I want that to happen I want Kazuto to wait until they all graduate first. Then he can make us some grandkids as soon as he wants.
I spat out my drink as she said that. To be honest I hadn't thought that far ahead. Right now I just considered myself lucky that I had the girlfriends I had now, especially Moka since we promised each other to reunite when we were kids. I didn't even think about marriage yet, let alone starting a family. That wasn't implying that I was against it, if anything I liked the idea. Still though it's a bit too soon to be thinking about that, especially what the girls and I had to do to " make " kids to begin with.
Mom: Aww look at Kazuto he's blushing.
Thankfully it seemed like the universe was on my side as I heard the bus stop near our house. I scarfed down the rest of my food as I grabbed my bag and practically ran out of the house as fast as I could.
Mom: Have a good year at school Kazuto!
Dad: Let us know if you make us grandparents sooner than expected!
Ignoring them I just got into my seat as the driver began making his way towards school.
Driver: Those are some interesting parents you have kid. Not many who would actively encourage their kids to get that far with their partner that quickly.
Kazuto: ( sigh ) Don't remind me.
For a while the ride was rather peaceful, minimal traffic and perfect weather almost caused me to fall asleep before the driver asked me something.
Driver: So kid, do you think you've finally gotten used to how your school operates?
Kazuto: More or less. But I get the feeling that there's more to it isn't there?
Driver: You're pretty sharp, I'll give you that. Yokai Academy is a school of monsters, by monsters, and for monsters. If you could survive everything the school has thrown at you so far then you're no ordinary slime. Still though you should always keep your guard up, once you think you've gotten it all figured out that's when things really start going to hell.
He was right though, I have had some crazy things happen to me since I started high school and I seriously doubted that would be the last of it for some time. After a while more we came to a stop at the nearby cliffs overlooking a familiar red ocean. As I said my goodbyes I then began making my way through the forest as I prepared myself for my reunion with the girls.
Kazuto: ( I know that I saw each of them when I took them out on our dates but something feels different about reuniting here at school. I honestly can't wait. )
As I continued to walk I heard a squeaking sound getting closer, at first I thought it was Moka riding her bike like last time and that she would be the first person I saw today. Instead I was almost run over by a girl with orange hair in twin tails riding her bike insanely fast.
????: OUTTA MY WAY!!!! MOVE IT!!!!
I leapt back as she continued on her way all while leaving behind a dust cloud that almost blinded me as I stood there trying to process what exactly just happened.
Kazuto: What was that all about? I wonder what's got her so upset?
Looking in the direction she was going I saw another person lying on the ground, they were getting up as they held their head as if in pain. I ran over to them to make sure they were alright and I saw a brown haired girl holding her head as she was getting her bearings.
Kazuto: Hey are you alright? You're not hurt are you?
????: N-No I'm alright. Just a little freaked out by that girl on the bike that's all.
I helped her up as she dusted off her uniform, I then helped her pick up the papers that fell out of her bag as she smiled at me.
????: I really appreciate you helping me collect my things. The last thing I want to do is start my second year by losing my stuff in a random accident.
Kazuto: No problem. Always happy to help.
Afterwards she thanked me before taking off saying how she wanted to meet up with her friend before school began. I waved her goodbye but I noticed a small notepad on the ground that we forgot to pick up. I tried calling her to let her know but she was already gone by that time.
Kazuto: Guess I'll just hold on to this until I get the chance to find her later.
On the cover the name "Framea" was written on it along with the sticker of a cute little rabbit.
Kazuto: Guess that's her name. Well I better get going otherwise the girls might start a search party just to look for me.
It wasn't much longer until I saw the familiar sights of the school grounds. Seeing the front gates as well as my fellow classmates, alongside new students, made me feel like I was coming back home.
Kazuto: ( It's been a few months but it feels like it's been years. I wonder where everyone else is right now. )
Taking a few steps forward I saw Kurumu and Yukari surrounded by a crowd of first year girls. From the sounds of their conversation it seemed like they were fans of the two of them. Everything seemed okay at first until they began fondling the two of them while they only encouraged them to do so. All the other students who happened to be watching them were just as confused as each other the longer this was going on.
Kazuto: ( I have no idea whether to be aroused or confused. )
I decided it would be better to say something before this turned into a scene from a yuri manga.
Kazuto: ( ahem ) So are you two going to replace me with your new friends or are you forgetting I'm right here?
Yukari: ( gasp ) Kazuto! It's so great to see you again!
Yukari simply began running towards me with her arms out ready to hug me but unfortunately she was knocked to the side by Kurumu's chest as she got to me first.
Kurumu: Kazuto! I missed you so much!
She leapt towards me as she wrapped her arms and legs around me as I was firmly between her breasts while losing oxygen.
Kurumu: It's so wonderful to see you again! You totally missed me this whole time didn't you! Go on admit it!
Kazuto: Can't... breathe...
Mizore: Chill out already.
Next thing I knew Kurumu was on the ground with a kunai made of ice sticking out of her head making her bleed.
Mizore: You know it's going to be a cold day in hell before I let you have your way with my beloved Kazuto before I do you big boobed bimbo.
Kurumu: Oh yeah you frozen freak! Kazuto belongs to me as much he does to you but that doesn't mean I won't shred you into ice cubes if you try something with him first!
Mizore: Bring it on Kurumu, out of all of us we all know that his favorite girl is me, his little popsicle.
Mizore then formed her ice claws while Kurumu brought out her wings and sharpened her nails as they both prepared themselves for a fight.
Yukari: Wow the first day of our second year and already there's a fight going on between the succubus and the snow woman.
Kazuto: ( sigh ) It's way too early to be getting into this kind of crap.
While Yukari and I were off to the side waiting to intervene if things got serious we suddenly heard a familiar voice that drew our attention immediately.
Moka: Stop it you two! This is no way for us to start our second year at school!
Kazuto: Moka!
Moka: Kazuto!
Once we saw each other we simply dropped our bags as the tension from before suddenly vanished. Mizore and Kurumu looked a little irritated that my attention was no longer on them while Yukari was just happy to see all of us reunited.
Kazuto: I really missed you Moka.
Moka: I missed you too Kazuto.
Before taking another step Moka almost collapsed as I rushed in to catch her before she could hurt herself.
Kazuto: Moka are you alright?
Moka: Kazuto... you smell so good.
Kazuto: Wait a second, don't tell me...
Moka: Sorry but I can't help it. After all I am your vampire girlfriend!
As per usual she was drinking my blood again, I really should be used to this cliché by now. Once she had her fill she gave me a quick peck on the lips as she hugged herself closer to me. Our happy moment wouldn't last as the crowd of first year girls suddenly pulled me away from her as they surrounded her.
Moka: Hello everyone, so I guess you're all first year students right?
Student 1: Yeah and we all know about the most famous girls of Yokai Academy, we're such huge fans!
Student 2: Like Kurumu Kurono, the bombshell with the ballistic bazongas!
Student 3: Also Yukari Sendo who's tiny, cute and extremely smart!
Student 4: There's also the literally cool ice queen Mizore Shirayuki!
Student 1: But there's one girl here on campus who beats all of them!
All of them: You the legendary Moka Akashiya!
Suddenly they began crowding her as they tried touching her all over before carrying her off to who knows where all while she was helpless to get away.
Kurumu: What's up with those freshman anyway? One minute they're all over me and the next they go crazy over Moka?
Yukari: Your guess is as good as mine. So Kazuto you okay?
After getting a bit trampled by the crowd of girls Mizore helped me up as she was hugging my arm in between her breasts.
Kazuto: I'm good, just wasn't expecting that to happen today.
I then felt someone tapping my back and soon I felt another person hugging me.
Shuna: Hello there Senpai, it's so great to see you!
I looked down to see Shuna smiling brightly at me while cuddling up to me.
Kazuto: Hey there Shuna, glad to see you made it to school.
As I gave her a pat on the head the other girls were a little jealous that all my attention was now on a new girl.
Mizore: So Kazuto, can you please explain who this is?
Kazuto: Oh that's right, I almost forgot that this is the first time you three are meeting her.
Shuna then let go of me so she could properly introduce herself.
Shuna: Hello everyone it's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Shuna and starting today I will be attending Yokai Academy.
Yukari: So you're Shuna, it's so nice to finally meet you. Kazuto has told us so much about you.
Shuna: It's nice to meet you as well. So you three are Senpai's girlfriends correct?
Kurumu: You bet we are. I also happen to be his personal favorite.
Mizore: As if, we all know that I'm his favorite.
Kurumu: No I'm his favorite!
The two of them got into a shouting match as the three of us could only watch in embarrassment.
Yukari: Sorry about them, they usually don't fight like this all that often. But when it comes to Kazuto they get very competitive.
Shuna: Honestly I can't blame them, Kazuto is quite a catch. We're actually quite fortunate that he agreed to date all of us at once.
Yukari: True.
Shuna: By the way Senpai, how does my uniform look on me?
I looked over to her and I had to admit that the uniform suited her quite well. With her looks she gave off the impression of a student from a prestigious school.
Kazuto: It looks good on you. You look very cute.
Shuna: Thank you Senpai.
We then heard the bell ring as we started making our way to class. After Shuna left to go to hers the rest of us made it to ours and we found Moka with her head on her desk. From her expression she looked mentally exhausted from having to deal with those girls from earlier.
Kazuto: Looks like you had a rough time with those girls.
Moka: Tell me about it, they wouldn't leave me be until the bell rang for class.
Kurumu: Speaking of class I can't believe that Kazuto and I are in the same class, it'll be just like last year!
Yukari: Well not exactly since now I'm sharing the same homeroom with all of you.
Moka: I think it's great that we're all together again this year.
The door to the classroom then opened and we saw our teacher walking in, and to the surprise of everyone it was none other than Ms. Nekonome.
Kurumu: Wait Ms. Nekonome is our teacher this year too?
Ms. Nekonome: That's right I sure am!
As the other students said their hellos I noticed something on her left hand.
Ms. Nekonome: Kazuto is there something wrong?
Kazuto: N-No sorry, it's just... is that an engagement ring you're wearing?
All Students: Engagement ring?!
Ms. Nekonome: Oh this, that's right. During our break from school my boyfriend finally proposed to me.
All the girls squealed so loud that they almost broke all the windows in the classroom as they ran over to her to get a closer look at her ring. They began asking her questions about her engagement while they guys congratulated her and her boyfriend and wishing her the best.
Ms. Nekonome: Thank you so much for the kind words. I wish we could continue but we are in school now so we should behave accordingly. Now then let's make sure to make this year as amazing as possible!
Student: YEAH!!!!!!
Not a bad start to our second year, I can't wait to see what surprises are in store for us.
Ko: Hello again folks! This concludes the quick recap for anyone who hasn't had the chance to read the previous fanfic on this site and-...GAH!!!!! Who's choking me?!?!?!
????: Now that you have this stupid side gig all wrapped up it's time for you to get back to work!
Ko: Holy crap what are you doing here?!?! Whee!!!!
The rest of the day was actually pretty normal, especially when you compare it to the chaos that happened early this morning. During lunch we got the chance to introduce Moka to Shuna and the two of them hit it off almost instantly due to them having similar personalities. Once the day was over we decided to head over to the club room since we were told that all school clubs were to promote themselves in the hopes of finding new applicants for the year. Before we headed out we stopped by our shoe lockers to get ready while all the other students were going around meeting up with their friends.
Kurumu: Man I can't believe how crazy things have been so far. Hopefully it'll calm down once the entrance ceremony for the new students ends.
Yukari: Yeah tell me about it.
Kazuto: That reminds me, how come we didn't have our opening ceremony last year?
Mizore: I think I overhead someone say that they only have the ceremony every other year. Not sure how accurate that is but it's the best guess I've got.
Once they opened their lockers several letters fell out into a small pile on the floor.
Kurumu: What are these?
Yukari: I got some too.
Kazuto: Do you think they might be from those girls from earlier?
Kurumu: Possibly.
Mizore: Looks like I got some too.
Kurumu: What's it say?
Mizore: " Greetings Ms. Shirayuki, you and I have a great deal in common, in other words I'm a stalker too. How about we stalk each other from afar some time. Stalk you later. "
Wow, that got real dark real fast. Judging by the expression on the others faces, except for Mizore who still held her neutral expression, I'm pretty sure we all agreed.
Kazuto: That... was interesting.
I then went to open my locker and out came a few letters for me.
Moka: You got some too Kazuto?
Yukari: Honestly I can't say I'm surprised. After all he was the one who beat Kuyo last year so his popularity was bound to go up because of that.
I opened a few of them and they weren't fan letters. They were actually threats from some of the guys saying how they weren't going to stand me having several girlfriends as they swore they would steal them from me and show them that they were more manly than me.
Kazuto: ( sigh ) Of course, I should have seen this coming.
Mizore: Well it's not like we care about what they think. We already have a great boyfriend who we wouldn't trade for anyone else.
Kurumu: Obviously, especially when he already loves us as much as we love him.
I then took another look at the pile and noticed two envelopes, one pink and the other purple, with familiar handwriting.
Kazuto: ( I guess Shion and Shuna couldn't resist writing me a love letter. I really need to thank those two later. )
After cleaning up the other envelopes, and also burning them with my magic, I asked Moka if she thought she got any herself.
Moka: I doubt it but I'll check-... Aaaahhh!
As she opened her locker a stream of envelopes poured out of it as she was buried alive in a small hill. Without wasting time I began digging my way to her as fast as I could before it was too late to rescue her.
Kurumu: ( irritated ) All these letters are for Moka?
Yukari: All right way to go!
Kazuto: Moka if you can hear me say something!
Not a second later and she resurfaced as she was able to free herself from her prison of love letters.
Moka: How in the world am I supposed to read through all these letters?
Another envelope then dropped onto her head, although this one was oddly designed in the shape of a bat.
Kurumu: That sure is one weird looking envelope.
Yukari: We'll I'm sure that the person who sent it wanted it to stand out, that way Moka would notice it out of all the others.
Moka: It says " To my dearest and beloved Moka Akashiya, not a single day goes by where you aren't in my thoughts or the center of my attention. "
Yukari: Aww that's sweet, from the sounds of it she must be a really big fan of yours!
Kazuto: Yeah, especially since you seem to be in her thoughts quite often.
Moka: " And now at long last I finally have the opportunity to meet you in person, I'm bursting with excitement at the thought of it. "
Kurumu: That's so cute, she writes the sweetest things.
Yukari: That's because she sounds like a kind and pure hearted girl, unlike you.
Kurumu: What was that?!
She then proceeded to give Yukari a noogie all while she was chuckling to herself for ticking off Kurumu.
Moka: " And at the opening ceremony for new students I will then rush over to your side, and then I will finally end your life.
Kazuto: Aww she wants to end your life. Isn't that cute.

Wait...
Us: WHAT?!?!?!?!

After cleaning up the rest of those envelopes we decided to finally make our way to the club room. Moka didn't let go of me the whole time as she was starting to freak out over the note that basically said someone was after her.
Kazuto: Moka I know you're scared but I promise you that I won't let anyone or anything hurt you.
Mizore: He's right you know. Besides there's a pretty good chance this might be someone's idea of a prank so you shouldn't get so worked up.
Moka: I know, but still I'm really scared.
While I was trying to comfort Moka I noticed Yukari and Kurumu bring over a stack of some of the newspapers we printed out last year.
Kazuto: Are the two of you heading out to find some new recruits?
Kurumu: You bet, if we want our club to keep going strong we need to find some new members with new ideas.
Moka: Well if that's the case maybe I can help out.
Kazuto: That sounds good, if anything it might take your mind off this whole mess with that note.
Yukari: Don't worry about it it's fine if it's just the two of us. Right now it might be better if you just took a break. After all you probably shouldn't do much since you got that creepy letter.
Mizore: Hey where's Gin, shouldn't he be helping out since he's our club president?
Yukari: That jerk is probably out there somewhere taking creepy pictures of unsuspecting girls!
Kurumu: Who needs him anyway, I say we're doing fine all on our own.
Meanwhile...
Gin was pretty much doing just that, until a new girl with orange hair in twin tails saw him and firmly stomped her foot on his face.
Since Kurumu and Yukari would be busy finding some new members for the club that left the rest of us free for the rest of the day. Mizore decided go walk around for a while which left me to look after Moka since she didn't want to be alone right now. The two of us were walking arm in arm as she started to relax a little, we wandered through the halls enjoying the peace and quiet as they were mostly empty due to the clubs looking for new recruits.
Moka: Was it really okay for me to let the two of them look for new students on their own? Maybe I should go over to them and help out?
Kazuto: I think Yukari might be right and that you should take it easy for now. If it makes you feel better I can check up on them in a little while.
Rubi: Kazuto! Moka! How are you guys!
We then noticed Rubi dressed as a shop keeper next to a snack stand.
Moka: Rubi is that you?
Rubi: It sure is, long time no see Moka.
Kazuto: What are you doing Rubi?
Rubi: Well let me explain Honey, as one of the headmaster's assistants it's my job to help out around the school whenever there's a need. And today just happens to be the day that we're in charge of the snack stand.
Moka: We?
Shion: Rubi I got that box we needed earlier. Where should I set it down?
Rubi: Just over here is fine for now.
As Shion set the box down she quickly noticed me and proceeded to smother me in her chest as usual. Moka was definitely embarrassed by this as she had never met Shion before and was caught off guard by how forward she was.
Shion: Hello there Kazuto, I missed you so much!
Moka: Uhh Kazuto, do you know this girl?
Shion: Oh you must be one of Kazuto's girlfriends, my name is Shion. Nice to meet you!
Moka: N-Nice to meet you too, I'm Moka Akashiya.
Shion: So you're the Moka that Kazuto's been telling us so much about.
Rubi: That's right, she's also Kazuto's first love from when they were younger.
Shion: Aww that's so sweet.
From the sounds of it I could tell they were all getting along really well. However the lack of oxygen was making it difficult to appreciate it while I was being smothered to death.
Kazuto: ( I know most guys say that this is the way they would prefer to die but unless you actually experience it yourself you have no idea what you're talking about! )
I then started waving my arms to get their attention but it was no use. I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing as I was on the verge of panicking thinking that this was my end until I accidentally slapped Shion's behind in my frantic attempt at an escape.
Shion: ( gasp ) Kazuto, you're being so forward today!
That was a mistake as she hugged me tighter, thankfully she then let go of me as I collapsed on the floor trying to regain my breath.
Moka/Rubi: Kazuto are you alright?!
All I could do was weakly give them a thumbs up as Shion was in her own little world thinking about all the things that she wished I could do to her.
Kazuto: ( I know these girls love me and all, but I really need to keep my guard up should they actually be the death of me. )
Out of the corner of my eye I caught a glimpse of a familiar looking envelope tucked away underneath the stand. I got up and walked over to it and picked it up, inside there was another note with handwriting identical to the one from before.
Kazuto: " Dearest Moka, at long last I've finally arrived here at Yokai Academy. I'm looking forward to tomorrow's opening ceremony because that will be the day I end your life once and for all. Heheheheheheh. "
Moka was definitely more freaked out than before as she hugged me in fear of someone actually attacking her.
Kazuto: ( Who the heck is after Moka? What do they want with her? )
( Kurumu's pov )
I can't believe how many students showed up to take a look at all the clubs we have here. Everyone was enjoying themselves as all the clubs were doing their best to bring people over to join them. After Yukari and I got ourselves set up we dressed up in the maid outfits from before to help draw up as much attention to our club as possible.
Kurumu: Hey everyone please join Yokai Academy's one and only Newspaper Club!
Yukari: We've got plenty of room for new students so please drop on by!
We handed out some copies of our newspapers to anyone willing to take a look and from what we heard it sounded like they might be interested.
Yukari: Looks like our club might be a big hit on campus.
Kurumu: Why wouldn't it be, at this rate we may have more applicants than we can handle.
Shuna: Excuse me, may I have a copy of your paper please.
We then saw Shuna walking towards us as she stopped at our booth.
Kurumu: Hey Shuna, so how are you enjoying your new school?
Shuna: It's quite nice here. I've already made some new friends and the older students have been very helpful.
Yukari: Glad to see you're doing well. Here's a copy of our newspaper, hope you enjoy it.
Shuna: Thank you, it looks well made. I bet you all worked hard on it to make it so professional.
Kurumu: Aww it was nothing.
I'll admit that I did have my doubts about her asking Kazuto to be one his girlfriends, usually whenever we met someone new they would normally cause some trouble for us but this didn't seem to be the case.
Kurumu: ( I guess if Kazuto trusts her that much than she might not be so bad after all. )
Shuna: These articles are truly amazing. I especially love this one on fashion trends from the human world, you did an amazing job on it Kurumu.
Kurumu: Thanks, I really appreciate it.
Yukari: So do you think you might be interested in joining?
Shuna: Definitely, I like to think I know a little about fashion myself and I would really like to work with someone who knows just as much.
Kurumu: Awesome, between the two of us we'll show everyone our impeccable taste and our eye for detail!
Yukari: Welcome to the Newspaper Club Shuna!
Yes! We found a new member already, this was going better than we had hoped. Shuna then decided to help us out in handing out papers to new students, with her around the work became much easier as we started to run low on copies.
Shuna: You're club seems to be quite popular doesn't it.
Yukari: I think you meant to say our club, after all you're one of us now Shuna.
Kurumu: She's right, and with you on board we'll make it even better!
????: Who wrote this garbage? Was this written by 5 year olds or something? It's so lame.
We then saw a girl with orange hair take a copy of our paper and crumple it up before throwing it away.
Shuna: That wasn't very nice.
Yukari: Yeah tell me about it.
Kurumu: I'll show her who's lame, hey you!
Before I could go over there and give her a piece of my mind we were surrounded by a small group of students who wanted a copy so we handed them out but by the time we finished up that brat from earlier had already disappeared.
Kurumu: Who was that girl anyway?
( Kazuto's pov )
Right now I was walking Moka back to her dorm, she was still scared of everything that happened so I thought it would be for the best to get her somewhere safe.
So far everything seemed normal but I quickly noticed that someone was following us from the shadows, I didn't tell Moka because the last thing I wanted to do was freak her out more than she already was.
Kazuto: ( Is that the person who wrote those weird letters? What exactly do they want from Moka? )
( ???? pov )
Damn it! No matter what I do that guy hanging around her is on to me. Normally I would be able to sneak up on her easily but this guy has his guard up making it impossible to get near them without getting caught.
Just when I thought I should retreat I saw a large rock the size of a baseball next to my foot and I got an idea. Originally I was going to tape the envelope on that guys back so Moka would see it easily but since that wasn't working I decided to wrap it around the rock and tape it to hold it together. I stepped back a bit and threw it at them as hard as I could, with any luck I might hit either one of them on the head for ticking me off.
( Kazuto's pov )
Great Sage:Warning! Incoming projectile headed your way.
As soon as I got the alert I turned around and a split second later I caught whatever was thrown at us before it made contact.
Moka: Kazuto are you okay!
Kazuto: Don't worry I'm fine, but I think we got another envelope.
I unwrapped it from the rock it was attached to and read the message inside.
" Dearest Moka, it's almost time. I'm already on campus and waiting nearby. The entrance ceremony, that day my beloved Moka will be your last day alive. "
I didn't bother reading it aloud this time since I was starting to get really pissed off. Before Moka could take a look at the message herself I burned the letter with my magic before grabbing Moka's hand and walked her to the dorms.
Moka: Kazuto what are you doing?
Kazuto: It's obvious that this person seriously wants to hurt you, and I am not about to leave you by yourself to deal with this.
She didn't understand what I meant by that until she noticed that instead of the girls dorms we were walking towards the one for the guys.
Kazuto: Moka, I want you to spend the night with me!
Her face instantly went red, in her mind it sounded like I wanted to take our relationship to the next level.
Moka: ( Kazuto what are you saying?! Are you telling me that you want me to... you know... do that? I don't know if I'm ready for that just yet. Unless it means that you are, which in that case maybe so am I. No what am I saying! )
After locking the door behind me I did the same with the window and shut the curtains. I even took a moment to inspect the bathroom and the small kitchen just to be safe.
Kazuto: ( Okay the coast is clear. Great Sage if anything out of the ordinary happens that could put Moka in danger please alert me immediately. )
Great Sage: Understood.
I then walked over to my bed to see Moka sitting on it while she nervously fidgeted.
Kazuto: ( She looks really nervous, honestly who could blame her. She's been getting weird letters saying how someone is about to end her life and she doesn't know why. I gotta find a way to help her calm down. )
I then sat next to her as she jumped a little bit. Next I put my arm around her and pulled her close to me to help ease her nerves a little.
Kazuto: Moka I promise you there's no reason to be scared. I will be here every step of the way, tonight all you have to do is focus on me.
I thought I was doing a good job, as her boyfriend I'm supposed to help her out when things get rough and this was definitely one of those times. What I didn't know at the time was that she was taking what I told her a bit differently.
( Moka's pov )
Moka: ( He'll be here for every step? Focus on him tonight? Is he really planning on taking my first time tonight? )
This wasn't like him, he's never been this forward before. Then again he did spank Shion earlier today, was it possible that having a harem was making him more confident with women?
Moka: ( No that can't be it, Kazuto is one of the sweetest guys I've ever met. He's not the type of person to try something like that with someone, especially at a time like this. )
I had to tell him that I wasn't ready, as much as I want him to be my first I knew it wasn't the right time. I wanted to wait a little longer until we reached that point because I didn't want to rush our relationship, he means everything to me and I wanted to make sure that what we have lasts for a long time.
( Kazuto's pov )
Moka: Kazuto, I can't do this.
Kazuto: Do what?
Moka: You know what I'm talking about, I'm sorry but I just love you too much that I don't want to risk hurting you later.
What was she talking about, was she going to confront whoever wrote those letters?
Kazuto: Moka are you saying what I think you're saying?
Moka: I'm sorry, but I think this might be for the best. You may not understand but I think this might be the right call.
Kazuto: Moka I think we need to remember what's at stake here!
Moka: I think you and I both know exactly what that is. Please understand that this is my choice, if you love me that much than I know you will support me with this.
Was I hearing her right? Was she really willing to go out there and look for a possibly psychotic girl alone? That's insane!
She then pressed her forehead against mine as she hugged me.
Moka: Maybe we can do this another time. A time when we're both ready. As much as I want you to be my first I know I'm not ready so please understand how I feel.
Kazuto: Huh?
Hold the phone, her first time? What the heck was she talking about?
Kazuto: Uhh Moka, did you say something about your first time?
Moka: Well yeah, after all I've never been with anyone other than you. I know you may want to move to the next step as a couple but I don't think I'm ready just yet.
Okay, this got really awkward really fast. I began to blush so fast that I almost passed out from how embarrassing this was going to be in the next few seconds.
Kazuto: Moka that's not why I brought you here.
Moka: Huh?
I explained the whole situation to her and let's just say that my prediction about it being awkward was true. We then spent the next half hour unable to look each other in the eye as we felt embarrassed by the whole thing.
Kazuto: ( I should've explained the situation to her better. )
Moka: ( I should've payed more attention to what he said earlier. )
Just then the sound of our stomachs growling was enough to snap us out of it. I then went into the kitchen to prepare us some dinner and it wasn't long until Moka joined me. Since it was only just big enough for two people to fit we were really close the whole time, soon the awkward atmosphere disappeared as we helped prepare our food and soon we were talking to each other as if nothing happened. Once dinner was finished we watched a movie together before going to bed, I let her borrow my sweatpants and my favorite hoodie as makeshift pajamas as I tried to offer her my bed while I slept on the floor but she insisted on me sharing with her.
Kazuto: ( smirking ) I thought you said you weren't ready to sleep with me?
She simply threw my pillow at my face as she pulled me close to her. With her cuddling up close to me I could practically see her anxieties melt away as she fell asleep.
Kazuto: ( I promise you I won't let anything happen to you. )
I gave her a quick peck on the cheek and soon enough I fell asleep with her in my arms.
( Mizore's pov )
My sweet Kazuto, I absolutely adore watching you outside your window before I go to sleep. Just knowing that you're possibly dreaming of me makes me feel all warm and tingly that I practically fall asleep by the time I get back to my dorm. Just as I was about to head back I then heard rustling near me and saw a girl with orange hair looking for something.
????: Now which room was it again?
Mizore: Hey what do you think you're doing over there?
????: What's it to you? Leave me alone.
Mizore: You know you really shouldn't be spying on people like that.
????: Oh yeah and just what are you doing out here anyway!
Damn it she got me, guess there's no point in hiding it now.
Mizore: ( blushing ) I-I was just watching over my boyfriend.
????: So that makes you a stalker. What a sicko.
Now she really ticked me off, without warning I shot some ice shards in her direction but she was fast enough to avoid them as they hit the tree behind her. I looked around for her but she must've gotten away, I decided it would be for the best if I left for my room so I wouldn't get caught by the teachers for staying out past curfew.
( Timeskip- Next day )
( Kazuto's pov )
That was a pretty peaceful sleep, I never expected the two of us to share a bed so soon but the fact that Moka slept soundly throughout the night made it all worth it. I woke up to her making me breakfast as she already changed into her uniform. I quietly snuck up behind her as I wrapped my arms around her. She jumped a little bit but soon she relaxed as she rested herself against me. After washing up and changing we ate breakfast before we walked to school together.
During the trip I kept my eyes peeled in case the mystery student tried something today. After seeing all those letters I wasn't about to take any chances by lowering my guard. We then met up with the others as we headed for the rooftop, since the opening ceremony was today it meant that we had some time to spare until classes started.
Kazuto: Alright everyone this is the day the mysterious student said they were going to make their move. Above all else our objective is to protect Moka.
Yukari: Don't worry about a thing and just leave it up to me! I'll make sure nothing happens to her on my watch!
Kurumu: Well it would get boring without my number one rival around, so I'll help out however I can.
Mizore: Yeah right.
Kurumu: What was that you frozen freak!
Mizore: Speaking of freaks that reminds me, last night I saw this really weird stalker around the dorms.
Kazuto: What did they look like?
Mizore: Well I didn't see their face but from what I did see they were a girl, most likely a first year student. She also had bright orange hair.
Orange hair? If what she was saying was accurate could it have been that girl that almost ran into me the other day? Before I could ask anything else we heard a commotion coming from the gym so we ran to check it out.
Once we arrived we could see Ms. Nekonome trying to get the situation under control as two of the students had already transformed into their monster forms as they were chasing a girl across the room. From her appearance she was definitely the girl I saw the other day as well as the one Mizore encountered last night. Not only that but Yukari and Kurumu confirmed that she was also the same girl who apparently mocked our newspaper yesterday.
Gin: Yep there's no doubt about it, I recognize those knee socks anywhere. She's the girl in this picture!
I wasn't sure when Gin got here, but apparently he met with her before too. We took a look at the picture he was talking about but it was just of her panties so the girls, minus Moka, beat him up for wasting our time.
Moka: That girl, the loud one with the bright orange hair. What's she doing here?
Moka looked completely petrified, I wasn't sure what her connection with this girl was but she definitely looked terrified. I needed to get her away from here before she got hurt.
Great Sage: Alert! Incoming chair heading your way.
From the corner of my eye I saw one of the chairs headed straight for us, I quickly used Body Armor to defend myself as the chair broke on impact.
Kazuto: That's it, I have finally had enough of this crap. Time to put an end to this!
I began making my way towards the two students who were causing problems all while letting my aura flare up. It wasn't much longer until the two of them as well as the rest of the students noticed my presence.
Frankenstein Student: Who the heck is this guy?
Cyclops Student: I don't know, but do feel that tremendous power coming off him?
The girl from before was already on the far side of the room as she stopped to look towards me.
????: It's that guy from before, the one that hangs around Moka. Now that I'm getting a better look at him why does he look so familiar?
As I made my way through the crowd of first years they all stared silently at me all while remaining where they stood.
Female Student 1: Who is he, and where is all that power coming from?
Shuna: I'm quite surprised you don't recognize him.
Female Student 2: Wait you know who he is?
Shuna: Of course, not only is he my beloved Senpai but he's also the one who defeated the president of the Security Committee last year.
Female Student 3: Wait I think I remember my brother telling me about that. Isn't his name Kazuto Tempest?
Shuna: Correct. He's also quite powerful as well, being able to fight an S-class monster and win.
I stopped in the middle of the crowd as I quickly put up a barrier around us. With my power rising all the students took a few steps back as they didn't know what I was planning on doing next.
Gin: I gotta say, that aura of his is amazing.
I stared at the two of them all while giving them a smirk.
Kazuto: Take it all in boys.
I rose my right arm as a stream of black flames swirled into a small tornado above me. If that wasn't enough to intimidate them I increased the output making it larger all while controlling the heat as to not injure anyone by accident.
Everyone in the room was impressed by the display of power I was showing. The wind blew hard as they knew I was more than strong enough to overpower them if they got on my bad side.
Male Student: Awesome, how is he able to produce flames like that?
Shuna: It's quite simple actually. Normally flames of that caliber are created using the surrounding magicules, but these flames are powered by nothing more than his strength. Not only that but the size of the flames reflect the size of his power.
After another second or two I canceled out my magic, as I lowered my arm I then took a serious expression as my power continued to swell.
Kazuto: Now that I have your attention let me make something perfectly clear. Starting today all of you are high school students, therefore you are all expected to behave as adults. SO KNOCK IT OFF ALREADY!!!!
In an instant I vanished from everyone's sight as I got behind the two monsters and quickly delivered a series of kicks strong enough to send them crashing into the wall on the opposite side all while the force from my kicks created heavy winds that nearly sent everyone else flying. I then landed on stage as the banner and balloons fell across they gym all while grabbing the microphone from the podium.
Kazuto: WELL HAVE I MADE MYSELF CLEAR!
First Year Students: Yes Kazuto Senpai!
After all that the ceremony was set to continue as normal. The rest of us regrouped outside to relax from the incident as Moka was still freaked out from earlier.
Yukari: Moka you don't look so good, maybe you should head back to your dorm for today.
Kurumu: She's right, I think the rest of us can take care of this mystery student ourselves.
Moka: Actually I think I know who it might be.
Kazuto: Wait really, who is it?
Moka: Actually the two of us met her before, you may not remember but she did this to us before when we were kids.
Kazuto: Really?
????: So that's why you look so familiar, now I understand. You're that boy that got in my way 10 years ago, looks like you're still up to getting in my way again.
The doors to the gym opened as we saw the familiar girl from before finally meeting us face to face.
????: So Moka, did you manage to read all those letters I sent you? I took a lot of time figuring out what to say to you so I hope you appreciate the hard work I put into them.
Ko: And I busted my back delivering every single one of them whee! So how about a little praise whee.
Ignoring the bat on her shoulder we were all tense to see the girl responsible for threatening Moka appear before us.
Moka: Everyone, you need to get away from here. You have to hurry or else it'll be too late.
Kazuto: Moka what are you saying?
????: Well I promised you that I was going to take your life and that's exactly what I intend to do, big sister.
