The Slime and Parents Day
The sun had finally begun to set on another day at Yokai Academy, as such all the students and staff had already gone back to their rooms to rest up for tomorrow. All with the exception of the headmaster who was finishing up some paperwork before heading out. Just as he put away the last piece of paper into a neat pile he then noticed a glowing leaf fall onto the floor of his office as a bright green light illuminated the room before it died out revealing a young woman with flowing green hair, a few vines surrounding her, and a gentle face standing before him.
Headmaster: I must say I am quite surprised that the caretaker of the forest has graced me with her presence this evening.
????: Now don't act so shocked, after all it's been quite some time that we've seen each other old friend.
Headmaster: Indeed. Now to what do I owe the pleasure of your company today Treyni.
Treyni: I came to warn you, my sisters and I, as well as those who reside in our domain have noticed a shift in our territory. We believe something is amiss and that it may try to gain dominion over our races.
Headmaster: Have you identified this threat?
Treyni: Not yet, what we have discovered is that this shift is unnatural, someone or something is purposely taking things into their own hands in the hopes of controlling it for themselves.
Headmaster: I see. How long do we have until it reaches the school? I need to make sure my students are evacuated in time to avoid casualties.
Treyni: I don't think you need to worry about that. From what we have gathered we have at least 3 weeks until they are to arrive anywhere near your schools borders, however even then I believe you have some strong students who can handle the situation if needed.
Treyni then walked towards the window as she looked at the setting sun.
Headmaster: Are you referring to Ms. Akashiya and Ms. Shuzen? Or perhaps a certain slime who happens to rival such high level monsters?
Treyni had the warmest smile appear on her face as she remembered holding the young boy in question in her arms all those years ago.
Treyni: How is he by the way? I haven't seen him since the day he was born.
Headmaster: He has been through quite a series of events since attending my school. He has managed to overcome the odds alongside his friends and he has brought peace to Yokai Academy at least for the moment.
Treyni: That's good, I would be an awful Godmother to him if something were to happen to him and I was unable to do anything. I heard about his battle with the fox demon, quite a feat to not only defeat such a strong opponent but also taking away his power.
Headmaster: Indeed. If Amelia and Makoto were still with us I have no doubt they would be equally as proud of him.
Treyni: I have no doubts myself. I wish I could stay longer but I must not leave my domain unattended for so long. Have a good rest of your day Headmaster.
As quickly as she arrived she suddenly vanished, the Headmaster could only look outside his window as he contemplated the warning he was just given.
Headmaster: Another storm is approaching our school. And yet I sense a new power will soon arise in our darkest hour.
( Timeskip- next day )
Man was I beat, I knew it wasn't a good idea to read one of my favorite manga before bed. I thought to myself " Okay after this chapter I will go to bed. " , instead I ended up reading through several volumes before I passed out on my desk.
Kazuto: ( yawn ) I hope I don't regret doing that so late last night.
Male Student 1: Good morning Kazuto.
Kazuto: Oh, good morning guys.
Male Student 2: So are you nervous about today?
Kazuto: What are you talking about? Why would I be nervous?
Male Student 1: Did you forget? Today's Parents Day.
Male Student 2: Yeah, everyone's been kind of anxious since Ms. Nekonome reminded us about it yesterday.
Now that I think about it that did sound vaguely familiar, I guess I must've forgot about it with my lack of sleep.
Male Student 2: That reminds me, are both of your parents coming today or just one of them?
Kazuto: Honestly I don't think either of them are showing up.
This wouldn't be the first time this happened, since my dad worked at a company as a lead project manager while my mom worked with people with physical rehabilitation they were both pretty busy most of the time. Not to mention that over the years whenever Parents Day was mentioned I would usually ignore it since I would most likely be on my own.
Male Student 1: Sorry to hear that Kazuto. But on the bright side I think this means that they trust you.
Male Student 2: Yeah, if they aren't worried about you then they see you as an adult rather than a child.
Male Student 1: Still though, I really would've like to have met them.
Kazuto: Thanks guys, hope you two have a good day.
As I continued on my way I ran into Moka who was nervously waiting for me by the gate. When she saw me she ran to me to give me a peck on the lips as she held my hand.
Moka: Good Morning Kazuto, so are you excited about Parents Day today?
I quickly went over what I told the guys earlier and she was a little disappointed that she wouldn't see my parents. It's been over 10 years since she's seen them and she was looking forward to meeting them again after all these years.
Kazuto: I'm really sorry about that, I bet they would've been thrilled to see how beautiful you've become these last 10 years.
Moka: Kazuto stop it, you're making me blush.
As the two of us entered our classroom we could already see families making their way towards the school from the window. Everywhere you look you could already see students either eager to show their folks around or trying to avoid dying of embarrassment from the stories their parents were telling each other. We even noticed Saizou was even more pissed off than usual.
Moka: Wow, Saizou's even grumpier today than he normally is. Do you think Parents Day is upsetting him or something?
Kazuto: Possibly. Maybe no one was able to come and visit him today.
Saizou: Like I care, I mean who gives a crap about parents anyway?
Suddenly a man and a woman came in through the door, when Saizou saw it was his mom and dad he quickly rushed over to them to welcome them to school. What really made the scene kind of odd though was the fact that not only did his attitude completely change but also the fact he spoke to them as if he were a little kid. He even called them mommy and daddy in public which was actually kind of funny.
Kazuto: Well that was something.
Moka: Yeah.
Kazuto: So Moka is your mom coming over to visit you today?
Moka: Actually she isn't, in fact I was actually planning on spending the day with Kokoa so I better hurry over to her classroom.
Kazuto: Wait no one's coming to see you today?
Moka: Unfortunately, Kokoa's in the same boat as me. It's been like that for years so I better get going.
Kokoa: Like hell you will! I don't need your stinkin' charity!
Suddenly the angry vampire showed up and tried blindsiding Moka with her hammer but was intercepted by me using my strength skills to hold her off.
Kazuto: Nice to see you too Kokoa, don't you think it's a little too early to be flying off the hinges?
Kokoa: Shut up! This doesn't concern you! And as for you, if you even think about visiting my class today you'll end up on the business end of my little Ko hammer and you're so going to regret it!
She then walked away as angrily as she came, she was even mumbling to herself like a little kid saying how she doesn't need Moka to babysit her.
Moka: Kazuto are you alright?
Kazuto: Don't worry I'm fine, anyway what was that you were saying earlier? Something about your mom not coming today.
Moka: About that, the truth is ever since you moved away my mom has gotten really busy, so much so that she wasn't able to come and visit me all that often. It's been like that for the past 10 years so I'm pretty much used to it by now.
I felt really bad for her, not being able to spend time with your family when everyone else around you did really sucks.
Kazuto: Well at least you won't be alone this year. Don't forget that I don't have anyone coming to see me today either. At least we can spend the day together.
Moka: Yeah, you're right. I suppose today won't be that bad after all.
As the two of us got closer together I expected her to hug me only to have her go for my neck again.
Kazuto: ( Of course you're hungry. Oh well it's not like I didn't expect this to happen some time today. )
I then noticed a familiar presence coming over me, from the corner of my eye I saw a purple haired girl watching me from behind a desk.
Moka/Kazuto: Gah! Mizore what are you doing!?
Mizore: You do know that public displays of affection are against school rules, so would you mind telling me just what the heck you're doing Moka.
Moka: I should be asking you what you're doing here stalker!
Next thing I knew Moka was frozen inside a block of ice. I wasn't expecting Mizore to act like this, ever since I agreed to date all the girls at once they have more or less made progress in avoiding conflict with each other.
Mizore: It's like I said, just keep your hands off Kazuto and I won't have to hurt-... OUCH!!!
I gave her a quick karate chop to the head, with everything going on today we really didn't need to make things more complicated than necessary.
Kazuto: That's enough of that Mizore, now can you tell us what you really want?
Mizore: Okay, you see it's actually my mother. She wanted me to introduce you to her so I came over to get you.
Kazuto: And you thought the best way to do that was by freezing Moka?
Mizore: I'm sorry, it's just that my mother can be really complicated sometimes. Sorry Moka.
Mizore then controlled her ice and it instantly shattered as she released Moka relatively unharmed.
Kazuto: You alright Moka?
Moka: I'll be fine, just a little chilly that's all. Mizore would it be okay if I introduced myself to your mother as well?
Mizore: ( shrugs ) I don't see why not.
Kazuto: So where is your mom by the way-...?
Again that feeling from before returned and I then noticed a woman hiding behind another desk staring at me.
Kazuto: ( She's been here the whole time!? Now I see where Mizore gets that from! )
Kind of scary to see that Mizore's mother had strong stalking tendencies like her daughter.
Kazuto: Mizore really does take after her mother doesn't she?
Moka: Yeah.
Mizore: Hey you can come out of hiding now mom, this guy here is my boyfriend.
Well it was time to finally face the music, I had to admit the thought of meeting the parents of my girlfriends actually slipped my mind. Guess there was no time like the present to finally get this over with I suppose.
Tsurara: It's a pleasure to meet you, my name is Tsurara. And you must be the famous Kazuto Tempest, I must admit you're even more handsome than my Mizore described.
I had to admit that Mizore's mother seemed like a really classy lady, she exuded this kind nature and she was quite the looker as well.
Kazuto: ( I guess there's no questioning where Mizore got her looks from. )
Too bad for me Moka wasn't as impressed by that fact, in reality I was pretty sure she was close to tearing me apart for thinking that about Mizore's mother.
Tsurara: And who might this nice young lady be?
Moka: Oh it's such a pleasure to meet you ma'am. I'm-...
Mizore: She's just a really clingy groupie girl. She's always hanging around Kazuto like some kind of stalker.
Moka: ( You're the stalker! )
Okay what the heck was going on? I thought we moved past this but apparently Mizore wasn't done with being hostile. Just as I was about to ask what her problem was I was then smothered by an all too familiar succubus.
Kurumu: Kazuto I've found you! Yes, finally! Hey mom hurry up he's over here!
Just then another woman walked into our classroom, at a glance it was easy to tell the similarities between her and Kurumu.
Kurumu: Kazuto allow me to introduce you to my mother.
Ageha: Hello I'm Ageha, so you must be Kurumu's fiancé correct?
Kazuto/Moka: ( Since when was I/he someone's fiancé!? )
Ageha: And who is this girl next to you, is she your wannabe lover perhaps?
Moka: ( crying ) Oh I certainly hope so.
Okay just what heck is happening, Parents Day barely just got started and already we have to deal with so much craziness that I'm having difficulty processing everything that's going on. It didn't help that soon after Kurumu's mother pushed my head close to her chest.
Kazuto: ( Crap I can't believe how soft and big these things are! I think they might be even softer than Kurumu's! )
Okay this is getting insane, I had to keep myself under control. I can't allow myself to lose my composure over something like this, especially with how many times Kurumu has done this to me herself as well as the few times Shion did the same thing.
Ageha: You know that my daughter may act suggestively, but to tell you the truth she actually has no experience underneath the sheets. With that said I would really appreciate it if you gave her a roll in the hay.
My eyes widened at her words. Was this woman seriously telling me to do that with her daughter!? I know she's a succubus as well but isn't there a time and place for things like this?
Kazuto: Hold on you're really telling me to...!?
Ageha: What do you say to dinner some time with me cutie~? You look like you need some lessons in love yourself and I would be more than happy to give you some hands on instruction.
I practically passed out from her offer, especially when she took my hand to grope her breasts. Thankfully Kurumu was already trying to hold her mother back while Moka did her best to wake me up. Of course at the time none of us were prepared for the sudden surge of murderous intent aimed our way.
????: What the hell are you up to Ageha!!!!!!
Kazuto: ( Oh crap, I recognize that voice. )
( Several minutes earlier )
As we made our way to class the bus had arrived and dropped off the next group of parents who came to visit their children at school today. Among them were my mom and dad as they took in the familiar surroundings of the school they attended all those years ago.
Mom: I can't believe it, after all these years we're finally back.
Dad: I know, it's hardly changed these last several years. I wonder if that carving we made at my old training spot is still there?
Mom: Well you told me that you infused magic into it to keep it preserved so I'm sure it is. Besides Kazuto told me that he put some of his magic into it as well.
Dad: I'm glad. Now let's get going, I don't think we want to be late for class. Will you walk to class with me today Serena?
Mom: ( chuckle ) Lead the way Arthur.
He then took my mom by the hand as they walked to school together. To them it was if they had gone back in time, back to when the two of them were simply students who had their entire future ahead of them. As they did they got the attention of a woman just a ways away from them, she had pink hair tied into a ponytail with a black ribbon, her eyes were as red as fresh blood and she wore a gothic dress that matched her eyes.
????: Arthur? Serena?
As their names were called out they turned to the source to see the woman tearing up as she slowly walked towards them.
????: Is it really you?
Mom: Akasha?
Upon hearing her name she nodded which lead to her and my mother running towards each other to embrace in a warm hug.
Mom: Akasha it's been too long.
Akasha: It has hasn't it. 10 years is far too long for old friends. You look great by the way.
Mom: You're not so bad yourself.
Akasha: And Arthur you're looking well. It's wonderful to see you again as well.
Arthur: Agreed. So I take it you're here to see Moka?
Akasha: I am, as well as Kokoa. I must admit I am a little surprised to see you two here, I never knew that you were both monsters back when we first met. How is Kazuto by the way, I hope he's doing well.
Dad: Well why don't you join us and you can see for yourself, I'm sure he'd be thrilled to see you again.
Akasha: Of course, I'd be more than happy to.
The three of them continued on their way all while taking the opportunity to catch up. Akasha was surprised to hear that I ended up getting into a fight to the death with an S-class monster last year and won, but even more so she was happy to hear that Moka and I became a couple. They also mentioned that I technically had a harem but she felt like I would do my best to treat them respectfully and with all the love I could give.
Akasha: I'm so happy for them, I remember when they were children they were practically inseparable. After 10 years apart not only did they fall in love with each other a second time but they kept their promise from back then as well.
Mom: Wait Moka didn't tell you about that?
Akasha: She didn't, in fact if I wasn't so busy helping my husband maintain his territory I could've been there for Moka and Kokoa more often. After you moved I couldn't spend as much time with my daughter at home, eventually she became more independent and ended up living on her own.
They could easily hear the regret in her voice, it pained them to know that she couldn't have a close bond with her daughters and that all she wanted was to make things right.
Mom: Well, better late than never right? I know it's not going to be easy, but I'm sure if you show them that you truly care about them than things will work out in the end.
Akasha: Thank you Serena, I really needed to hear that.
Once they got inside they began looking for my classroom as they passed many families out in the hallways. During their journey they heard some of the students whispering to themselves comparing Akasha to Moka since they practically looked the same, most of them thought she was Moka's older sister and wanted to see if they could ask her out.
Dad: It seems like some things never change. Even after all this time guys can't help themselves when they see a pretty girl.
Mom: And just what is that supposed to mean?
She looked at my dad threateningly as if implying that she wasn't worth mentioning. He then broke out into a nervous sweat as he tried to appease her.
Dad: ( terrified ) Of course I bet they think that you're beautiful as well! They're probably just so mesmerized by your good looks that they can't think of how to properly express it!
Mom: Hmph, I thought so.
Akasha: ( Nice to see the two of them getting along so well. )
They continued down the halls as they saw students enjoying their time together as well as some guys flirting with their female classmates and getting rejected in the process.
Akasha: I wonder if Moka had to deal with that her first time here? If she did I have no doubt Kazuto would be by her side protecting her.
Mom: Of course he would, we did raise him to be a gentleman after all. Oh I think this is his classroom.
Dad: Room 2-3, yeah this is it. I can't believe he has the same room we had in our second year here.
Mom: Well let's not keep him waiting.
Akasha: Indeed, I can't wait to see him again.
They opened the doors and the first thing they see is an older woman offering me some " hands on " lessons in romance. She had my hand on her breast as she was clearly trying to seduce me while another girl who resembled her tried holding her back and Moka doing her best to snap me out of it after I fainted.
Akasha: Oh my, I think we may have intruded on something.
Dad: Poor Kazuto, even I didn't have lady problems this bad when I was his age.
My mom however was, for lack of a better word, pissed. While she was a slime there was one thing she always prided herself on, that was her rage. Normally she was a calm and caring person but whenever she gets upset to this degree she goes full mama bear mode. Even dad was scared of her when she got like this and with good reason.
Mom: What the hell are you up to Ageha!!!!!!
( present )
I looked over to where the voice came from and sure enough it was mom.
Kazuto: ( Crap! Mom's pissed! )
I wanted to warn the girls to go and hide somewhere safe but she was already on her way towards us. Everyone else backed away from her as Ageha took one look at the woman who yelled at her and suddenly her face went from anger to completely pale.
Ageha: S-S-S-S-Serena?! Is that you!?
Tsurara: That's Serena!?
It finally dawned on me and the girls that the three of them knew each other, but that can wait until later.
Mom: Ageha, would you mind telling me what you were trying to do to my sweet little boy. I would simply love to know what you meant by " hands on instruction ".
Her sweet smile did absolutely nothing to hide the terror she exuded. I think I even saw lightning outside the window even though it was a clear and sunny day today.
Ageha: ( terrified ) Oh is Kazuto your son? I had no idea, but who's the father?
Dad: That would be me, nice to see you again Ageha, and you as well Tsurara.
Tsurara: Arthur Tempest, it's been too long. I'm happy to see you and Serena are still together after all this time.
Ageha: I see where he got his good looks, you're looking quite well yourself Tempest.
Ouch, bad move. My mom wasn't done being overprotective as she held a firm grip on dad's arm as she began to seethe in rage.
Mom: Back off, remember he's mine.
Ageha: ( terrified ) Of course, how could I forget. After all he was your first crush in high school, and you two always did make a lovely couple.
Mom: That's what I thought.
After that little episode she and my father came over to us as I prepared myself to introduce the girls to my parents, in the case of Moka it was more of a reintroduction.
Kazuto: ( nervous ) H-Hi mom, hey dad.
Dad: Hey son, sorry about your mother but you know how she can be sometimes.
Mom: Well I'm sorry if I get a little protective of my family. It's not my fault I just want you two to be safe from conniving vultures.
Ageha: What did you call me!?
One glare from my mom was enough to stop Kurumu's mom from poking the hornets nest any further.
Mom: ( ahem ) Now then I believe we have some lovely girls to meet with correct?
( Kurumu's pov )
Kazuto: Of course, let me start off with Kurumu Kurono.
Oh man this is so nerve wracking, it wasn't just the fact I was meeting the parents of my destined one, but also the fact they saw my mom trying to make a move on their son. For a moment I thought his mom wouldn't approve of me since it seemed like she had a bit of history with my mom and would think I was just like her.
Mom: So you're Ageha's daughter?
Kurumu: ( nervously ) Y-Yes ma'am!
In my head I could practically hear her yelling at me to stay away from Kazuto and never see him again. So you can imagine how surprised I was when she smiled at me and spoke to me with a gentle voice.
Mom: It's wonderful to finally meet you. Kazuto has told us so much about you and I'm glad to see he found a girl that cares for him deeply. Please continue to watch out for him.
I was speechless, I didn't know how to respond without fearing of sounding like a total moron. So instead I simply bowed and thanked her for the compliment as I promised her that I would do my best to watch out for their son.
( Mizore's pov )
Kazuto: Next I would like for you to meet Mizore Shirayuki.
Even though I wasn't as nervous as Kurumu I still had my doubts that Kazuto's parents would like me. If anything I felt a bit inadequate compared to the others so I didn't know how much of a chance they would give me.
Dad: It's nice to meet you Ms. Shirayuki, I hope Kazuto has been a good friend to you.
Mizore: Of course he has, ever since we first met all he's done is be there for me. No matter what kind of problems I had he always did his best to make me smile. It's why I love him so much.
Dad: I see, in that case please continue to get along with him.
Mizore: Of course.
Guess I'm off to a good start, I don't even remember why I was so nervous before.
( Moka's pov )
Kazuto: And finally I want to reintroduce you both to Moka Akashiya.
I can't believe it, even after all these years his parents look almost exactly as I remember them. His father looked like an older version of him only more mature, if anything it made me hopeful that he would look like that when he grew up. His mother was just as pretty as back then and I could still see the playful nature in her eyes from before.
Mom: Moka it's wonderful to see you again, I can't believe that you've grown into such a beautiful young lady.
Dad: She's right, it's as if you're an exact image of your mother.
Moka: That's really sweet of you to say. Thank you very much.
It made me happy to reunite with them as well, hopefully we could all have a good day together and make some memories to make up for lost time.
( Kazuto's pov )
So far it looks like having the girls meet my folks was running smoothly, all that was left was for Yukari to meet them once we find her. I then felt a tap on my shoulder and I turned to see someone who resembled Moka, I even almost called her that by mistake as the woman in front of me smiled sweetly at me.
Akasha: It's truly wonderful to see you again Kazuto. You've grown into such a handsome young man, I'm so happy that you and Moka found one another again after all these years.
I couldn't believe it, I honestly didn't think I would get the chance to see Moka's mom again after so long. She then came closer to embrace me in a warm hug that I quickly reciprocated.
Kazuto: It's nice to see you again Ms. Akashiya
Akasha: Kazuto you don't need to be so formal, as far as I'm concerned you and your parents have been like family to Moka and myself. In fact you can call me mom or mother if you like.
And once again I'm blushing like an idiot, only this time so was Moka since she heard our conversation as well.
Moka: ( embarrassed ) Mom! Don't you think it's a little too soon for him to be calling you that?
Akasha: ( chuckle ) I'm sorry dear, it's just that I always had a feeling the two of you would end up together. Besides if I remember correctly Moka it was you that asked Kazuto's mom for permission to be his wife someday.
Moka's face became so red that she hugged herself tightly into me so she wouldn't have to face her mom.
Kazuto: I just remembered something, I thought none of you were going to make it today? What happened?
Dad: Well your mother and I knew that Parents Day was coming up thanks to Rubi, and we both knew that we usually got busy around this time of year.
Mom: So in the weeks leading up to it your father and I decided to put in more hours at work so we could have the chance to see you today.
Akasha: As for myself things have seemed to quiet down for the moment, so I took this as a rare opportunity to do something that I should have done before.
How about that, I guess everything just seemed to fall into place. Well whatever the reason I'm just glad we all could finally see each other again. I then noticed that both Kurumu and Mizore's mothers seemed to be arguing about something as my mom couldn't help but face palm at the sight of them.
Mom: ( sigh ) Not again. Even after all these years the two of them act like such brats, it's just as exhausting as I remember it. At least it would seem that their daughters haven't picked that up from them.
Kurumu and Mizore could only silently chuckle to themselves at that statement. I think it would be for the best if we don't tell my mom the truth.
Yukari: Guys I want you to meet my folks!
Coming in through the door was Yukari alongside her mom and dad, thankfully with them the initial meeting was very normal. They weren't even surprised by the fact that Yukari was dating me along with the other girls, in fact they hoped that I would continue to treat their daughter with the same kindness as before and hoped to get to know me better in the future. My father was just as excited to meet them since it was kind of rare to meet other witches or wizards and he immediately got to talking about a few things with the two of them.
Yukari: Glad to see our parents getting along huh.
Kazuto: You bet, we spell casters have to stick together after all.
Yukari: Right.
As Yukari settled for leaning against me in comfort we then saw Ms. Nekonome come in right as the bell rang to signal the beginning of class. As the lesson went on all the parents spent their time silently observing us as we did our best not to embarrass ourselves in front of them or do anything that would cause them to shout out " Good job! " in front of everyone. It wasn't much longer until our first period ended and we would go to our next class. As the parents began to leave we saw Tsurara and Ageha try and trip the other up on the way out, it was easy for all of us to see they had some kind of rivalry with one another as they were practically shoving the other as they walked away.
Kurumu: Hey Kazuto, I wanted to apologize about my mom. I didn't expect her to try flirting with you or even suggesting that you were my fiancé.
Kazuto: That's okay, but I did want to ask you about that. Any reason why your mom thinks that I'm your fiancé to begin with?
Kurumu: Honestly no. All I did was tell her that we were dating and for some reason when I mentioned the other girls she just stopped listening to me altogether.
Mizore: My mom kind of did the same thing, as far as she's concerned I'm Kazuto's only girlfriend.
Kazuto: Is that why you told her that Moka was just a groupie that stalks me?
Mizore: Yeah, sorry about that. Once my mom sets her mind on something there's no stopping her.
Kazuto: Well you two are just going to have to talk to your mothers and explain the situation to them.
Suddenly they started trembling, I guess the idea of talking to their moms actually scared them that they began tugging at my arms begging me to go along with their stories until the end of the day.

The next class for the day, P.E.
That meant it was time for us to show how well we could handle ourselves out on the field, or in today's case the gymnasium. As parents lined up the bleachers Ms. Suphia had us go over our warm up exercises before telling us what she had planned for us today.
Suphia: Alright everyone listen up, for today's exercise the boys will be playing dodgeball while the girls will be resting after yesterday's basketball game. Also I'd like to remind you that in today's lesson we'll be participating alongside the first year class. Now everyone split off into teams, you have 3 minutes!
With a blow from her whistle we all split up with the girls going over to their families while us guys decided to split up to see who we would team up with.
( Moka's pov )
While Kazuto went off to look for a team the rest of us reunited with our families. Both Mizore and Kurumu's mothers were still glaring at each other so I felt like it would be a bad idea to get them to speak with one another. My mother was actually with Kokoa right now to spend some time with her so I decided to spend some time with Kazuto's parents.
Mom: So Moka, how's Yokai Academy treating you and the others?
Moka: It's been interesting to say the least. Even if things get a little crazy sometimes I wouldn't trade the experience for anything else in the world.
Dad: Well I'm glad, I just hope you and the others have a wonderful experience and look back on these days with fond memories.
As we were talking we then saw Shuna come up to us with who I thought were her parents but as it turned out they were her older brother and his wife.
Benimaru: It's nice to see you again Arthur, and who is this young lady?
Dad: Let me introduce you to Moka Akashiya, I'm sure you remember me mentioning her when you visited us last time.
Albis: Isn't this one of Kazuto's girlfriends? She was also his first love correct?
Dad: Indeed, Moka allow me to introduce you to my old friends and classmates from when we attended Yokai Academy. This is my good friend Benimaru and his wife Albis.
Moka: It's a pleasure to meet you, Kazuto has told us so much about you both.
Benimaru: Thank you, it's very nice to meet you as well.
Albis: Please continue to watch out for Kazuto, he's like a younger brother to the both of us and we wish for him to be as happy as possible.
Albis then looked over my shoulder and I noticed the others were watching us as they listened to our conversation.
Albis: That goes to the rest of you as well.
I then noticed Albis' expression change into slight annoyance as she saw Kurumu's mom, she was looking over at our general direction with a slight hungry look in her eyes. We then noticed her expression was aimed more towards Benimaru and it didn't take long for Albis to realize that as well, she then tightened her grip on her husband's arm as she sent a glare her way.
Albis: Ageha, so nice to see you again.
Ageha: Albis, you've certainly aged.
It may have been our imagination but I think we could see sparks between them as they glared at each other with a lot of hostility between them.
Kurumu: ( sigh ) Seriously how many enemies did my mom make at school?
Yukari: There there Kurumu, on the bright side at least you're doing better than she did.
Mizore: She's right, we may get on each other's nerves from time to time, but at least we aren't hostile towards each other. At least to that extent.
Kurumu: Thanks you two. Group hug!
As we all came together we heard a camera click as we saw Kazuto's mom take a picture of us.
Mom: That was beautiful girls. How about we take another one.
( Kazuto's pov )
So far so good, our game of dodgeball was going well and from the corner of my eye I could see all the girls getting along with my mom and dad. I wasn't expecting Benimaru and Albis to show up but I gave them a quick wave hello as I put my focus back on the game.
Suphia: Nice moves Tempest, keep that up and I may just have to reward you~.
I could hear some of the guys cursing me for that comment. It was no secret that a lot of the guys found Ms. Suphia attractive, and the fact that she has her eyes on me didn't help matters. It also didn't help that it was becoming common knowledge that I had a harem of girls that were crazy about me and I think I see the effects it was having on the guys. On the opposing team they were mostly aiming at me while my teammates didn't bother helping me or deliberately tried to get me hit.
Kazuto: Hey we're on the same side! What gives!
Male Student: You know exactly what gives!
I'm definitely sure I knew but I didn't want to give him the satisfaction of messing me up, so with a little quick thinking I escaped from getting knocked out of the game and in turn got my teammate out instead.
Suphia: Nice form Tempest!
Moka: Way to go Kazuto!
Kurumu: Show them what you can do!
Yukari: You got this!
Mizore: Keep it up!
Shuna: That's the way Senpai!
Great Sage: Warning! High levels of malice detected around your vicinity. I recommend remaining on high alert.
Suddenly the gym went quiet, balls stopped being thrown as the guys all gathered together on the other side, even the guys who were out all joined in.
Kazuto: ( I don't like the looks of this. )
They all looked at me like I committed the ultimate crime against them. Their eyes practically glowed red with anger as their auras began to swell.
Kazuto: ( I know that look, these guys are definitely out for blood. Maybe I can calm them down before things get messy. )
Shion: There you are Kazuto!
Rubi: Sorry we're late Honey~!
From the door came both Rubi and Shion, who were followed by Moka's mother, Kokoa, even Miia and Framea were with them.
Kazuto: What are you guys doing here!?
Shion: Well we wanted to come and see you! What kind of girlfriends are we if we can't spend a little time with our boyfriend.
Rubi: Also Ms. Akashiya wanted us to direct her and Kokoa to the gym.
Kokoa: I'd rather be looking for a way to get my real big sister back but mom said I needed to spend some quality time with her instead.
Miia: We're here because we wanted to ask your girlfriends if the two of us can join your club.
Framea: And I brought my camera to show them some photos I took over our break from school.
I guess they were all lucky to meet up together. Suddenly I felt the increase in monster power skyrocket, the guys were so pissed at the attention I was getting from all these girls that I think it sent them over the edge.
Guys: LET'S KILL HIM!!!!
They all transformed as they let their rage fuel their power as they threw a barrage of dodgeballs at me without restraint. I did my absolute best to dodge everything thrown at me as I put up a barrier around us so no one outside it would get hurt.
Girls: Kazuto!
Kazuto: Don't worry about me! Everything's under control!
That was a big lie, if Great Sage wasn't helping me out with Thought Acceleration and my reactions I would've been toast. The balls kept bouncing around us and the barrier, the guys kept getting hit as well but they were so mad it didn't register to them even when Ms. Suphia kept yelling at them that they were out.
Framea: This looks bad, shouldn't we do something to help Kazuto out!
Rubi: I actually do have an idea in mind.
Taking out her wand Rubi cast a spell over them. A quick flash later and the girls were no longer in the uniforms they had on, instead they were in cheerleader costumes that were a little on the shot side but nothing worse that what they already wore for school. Not to mention that it accentuated a few curves in the right places for some of them.
Moka: Rubi what is this!?
Rubi: What else, we're going to help out Kazuto by cheering him on to victory!
Suphia: That looks like fun, let me in on this action!
Miia: Us too!
Framea: What!?
Miia: Come on Framea this looks fun! Let's give it a try.
Framea: But Miia-...
Rubi: Sure thing!
Now all 10 of them were in matching outfits as they lined up with their pom poms at the ready. Some of the girls were excited but a few were more than a little embarrassed.
Yukari: Is all this really necessary?
Moka: Yeah Rubi, don't you think this might be a bit much?
Rubi: Come on you two, Kazuto is trying his best out there and he needs our support. So let's cheer him on and give it our all!
Kurumu: Yeah! I'm with you Rubi!
Suphia: No way am I letting my students get the better of me, try and keep up girls!
Shion: Kazuto I'm going to cheer my hardest for you!
Shuna: We believe in you Senpai!
Mom: You girls look adorable, let me get a picture of this!
My mom started taking tons of photos of them as they started their impromptu cheerleading. Their routine started out a little lackluster but after watching how hard I was trying out on the court they really got into it and soon they were cheering like a professional team during a big game. The combination of synchronized movements with their rhythmic cheering did boost my confidence a bit and in turn it made me want to live up to their expectations.
Girls: Go! Go! Kazuto! Go! Go! Kazuto!
Unfortunately that only made the situation worse for me as a result! Now the guys were throwing in any projectile attacks my way as I began to panic!
Moka: Give me a K!
Girls: K!
Kurumu: Give me an A!
Girls: A!
Shuna: Give me a Z!
Girls: Z!
Shion: Give me a U!
Girls: U!
Rubi: Give me a T!
Girls: T!
Miia: Give me an O!
Girls: O!
Suphia: What's that spell!
Girls: Kazuto! Kazuto! Go go Kazuto!
Mom: That was beautiful girls! Smile for the camera!
Tsurara: Of course it was a great job, my Mizore is such an amazing cheerleader after all.
Ageha: You must be deaf if you think that screeching is the same as cheerleading. My Kurumu is the absolute best at making her man happy.
Albis: I think you meant to say that all of the girls did a spectacular job you old hag.
Ageha: What was that you overgrown serpent!
Albis: Exactly what it sounded like you harlot!
Akasha: Great job girls!
Mrs. Sendo: Keep it up girls.
Girls: Go Kazuto!
Male Students: YOU'RE DEAD TEMPEST!!!!!!!
Suddenly as a barrage was headed my way I decided it was time to put an end to this mess.
Kazuto: ( Let's do it Great Sage. )
Great Sage: Understood. Now switching to Auto Battle mode.
( insert Ultra Instinct or Ultimate Battle theme from Dragon Ball Super )
With my eyes closed I let Great Sage take over, it was as if everything slowed down around me as I seamlessly dodged their attacks with little to no effort at all. To some it even looked like every projectile went harmlessly through my body as I remained calm and composed.
Male Student 1: H-How did he do that?!
Male Student 2: That was just a fluke, that's all it was!
Male Student 3: Fluke or not he doesn't stand a chance at our combined power! Let's get him!
Another barrage was sent my way as I not only dodged them perfectly but also redirect those attacks to knock a few of them out in a single move without taking a hit.
Dad: Way to go Kazuto!
Mom: Smile sweetie!
Mizore: Fight! Fight! Kazuto!
A small smirk appeared on my face as my aura began to shine. My eyes opened to show a familiar red glow as my body picked up a single ball. Great Sage infused some of my magic into it as she uttered two words that made the other guys tremble.
Great Sage: My turn.
A quick leap into the air and Great Sage threw the ball not at the enemy team but to one of the balls on the ground. The transfer of energy was so intense that it caused a chain reaction that caused both balls to bounce around hitting the other balls and repeating the same effect until we were all surrounded by a maelstrom of rubber projectiles bouncing around us. The guys couldn't afford to move or else they would surely suffer from this attack while Great Sage stood back to admire its handy work.
Kazuto: ( Not bad, so now what? Do we just wait here until they give up? )
Great Sage: Watch.
Outside the barrier both parents and the other students couldn't help but be impressed as well as a little terrified at the display of power and techniques being shown before them.
Yukari: Kazuto! Kazuto! He's our man!
Framea: If he can't do it no one can!
I did as Great Sage had instructed and soon enough there was a change in the angles the balls were bouncing in. They began to change trajectory and a split second later one of them was headed straight for me, my arm caught the ball with no issue before throwing it in front of me. The moment it made it halfway across the gym it collided with more of them that met in the center before scattering in new directions, all the guys on the opposite side were knocked out with headshot after headshot of red rubber that not only knocked them out but also reverted them back to human form. Any that managed to survive the onslaught didn't last long as my body easily weaved and leapt through the bouncing balls all while grabbing them as they rocketed past me and threw them at the opposing targets.
Great Sage: It is done.
I regained control as the barrier was let down now that the balls were losing momentum as they harmlessly fell to the ground, meanwhile the whole gym roared in applause of what just transpired.
Girls: We love you Kazuto!
I looked over at my cheerleaders to see them waving at me while both Framea and Miia looked embarrassed at what they just said.

Ageha: Did you see that, that's my future son in law!
Tsurara: I think you meant my future son in law.
Oh boy, looks like they still haven't finished arguing. They each went up to their respective daughter and dragged them outside.
( Kurumu's pov )
Kurumu: Mom what the heck is the big idea?!
I really didn't like where this was going, she was dragging me outside the gym and into the woods where she finally stopped.
Ageha: Kurumu I'm going to ask you directly, exactly how far have you and Kazuto taken your relationship?
Kurumu: Mom what are you talking about?
Ageha: Do it with him!
Kurumu: Excuse me?!
Ageha: Right here and right now okay!
Is she nuts?! What am I talking about of course she is! I know we're succubi and all but this seems a bit extreme.
Kurumu: Mom we're still in the middle of class and besides I really just want mine and Kazuto's relationship to grow steadily without having to use my powers. Just like when we had our first kiss.
Thinking back on it our first kiss was amazing, just the thought of it made me all giddy.
Ageha: It sounds like your relationship with that boy is over before it's even going to get to the good part.
Kurumu: Mom!
Ageha: If you want him than do it with him!
I tried telling her what was on my mind but it was no use. With no other option I walked back to the gym with my head down.
( Mizore's pov )
Tsurara: I wanted to talk to you about the nature of your relationship with Kazuto.
After getting dragged behind the gym by my mother I knew whatever she wanted to talk to me about was going to be difficult.
Mizore: Mother there's something I need to tell you.
Tsurara: I want you to freeze him dear.
Mizore: That's something I was hoping you wouldn't say.
Tsurara: Mizore if you freeze him than Kazuto will belong to you forever.
Mizore: But mother I promised Kazuto I wouldn't do stuff like that anymore.
Tsurara: Is that so. Then I shouldn't be surprised if he dumps you and decided to go with Kurumu.
Mizore: About that, the truth is-...
Tsurara: There's only one way to prevent that from happening, and that's by freezing him solid and keeping him close. That is the proper form of love for a snow woman.
I hate it when she got like this. She gets so annoyingly stubborn that it's almost impossible to get a word in with her.
( Kazuto's pov )
The two of them met at the doors of the gym, both looking rather defeated.
Kurumu: Let me guess, your mom gave you terrible advice to win over Kazuto huh?
Mizore: Yeah she did. I guess the same can be said for you?
The door then opened to reveal my mom walking through them.
Mom: Good grief I had a feeling this was going to happen.
Kurumu/Mizore: Mrs. Tempest?!
Mom: Honestly the two of them haven't changed in the slightest over these last years.
Obviously she heard them talking from behind the door and they knew it. She then looked at both of them as any concerned parent would. Both girls were afraid that they were going to get an earful from her as well.
Mom: First of all I just want you both to know that you don't have to resort to any crazy methods to win over my son. He really cares about each of you and he knows you feel the same about him.
Their fears began to dwindle as they took in the kind words being spoken to them.
Mom: I know that your species dictates certain practices when it comes to your partners but you two prove that it shouldn't always be that way. If you two really love Kazuto than I know you two will be able to stand up to your mothers and face them and their stubbornness. And if they love you as any reasonable and loving parent should than they'll listen.
Her words of encouragement was enough to inspire them to try harder to tell their mothers to back off. For Kurumu it meant telling her mom that she wanted to pursue a natural relationship without using her powers to hypnotize a man into being with her. For Mizore it meant not having to keep her and her beloved in isolation and trying to freeze him alive, even though ultimately that wouldn't even work. But mostly to tell them both that they were a part of a harem and that they were all happy doing so because they all felt loved and appreciated.
Mom: Now let's head back inside, we still have a whole day to spend together.
Kurumu/Mizore: Right!
The day continued from there, the rest of our classes progressed smoothly and the only thing left for today was the family dinner. Both Tsurara and Ageha invited me over to eat with them and their daughter alone but of course they didn't like that and we agreed to eating together in the end.
Currently I am sitting at the head of the table with Kurumu and her mom on one side and Mizore and her mom on the other. My parents were sitting directly next to me and even they could feel the nervous tension from me and the girls. The others had no choice but to sit at another table but I could tell that they were keeping an eye on us in case something went horribly wrong.
Kazuto: ( whispering ) Geez, this is way too tense.
Ageha: Kazuto.
Kazuto: Uh yes ma'am?
Ageha: We simply must discuss plans for your engagement party.
Kazuto: Engagement party?!
Ageha: Let's pull out all the stops, the two of you are getting married after all.
Tsurara: Kazuto.
Kazuto: Yes ma'am?
Tsurara: I think you and Mizore should have a lavish wedding don't you agree?
Kazuto: A wedding?!
Tsurara: Of course the two of you are just dating at the moment so we still have some time.
Mizore: Mother don't you think that asking about that is a bit much right now?
Tsurara: Quiet Mizore.
Ageha: Look I hate to break it to you but there's just no way your daughter will ever marry Kazuto. Remember that he is Kurumu's fiancé, he's going to be my son in law, not yours!
Kurumu: Mom as much as I would love that to happen I never told you that he was my fiancé, you just came to that conclusion on your own.
Ageha: That's enough!
Tsurara: Since your bust size is bigger than your brain size allow me to clarify something. There's no such thing as a love affair if no love is involved, therefore the only person Kazuto is marrying is Mizore.
Mizore: Mother that's enough, I've been trying to tell you that Kazuto isn't strictly just with me.
The situation began to escalate further and further, not only were the two of them disregarding everything their daughters were trying to tell them, now the two of them were arguing not about who I would marry but mostly over who I would belong to.
Tsurara/Ageha: Kazuto belongs to me!
Oh great, here we go again.
Seeing as talking with one another was too much for them to handle they decided to take a more direct approach and began fighting in the middle of the cafeteria. While Ageha flew around avoiding Tsurara's ice attacks the rest of us took shelter by hiding behind one of the walls that were destroyed.
Kurumu: Mom that's enough! You're acting like a spoiled brat so stop it!
Mizore: Mother calm down! You're losing your cool so quit it already!
They weren't even listening at this point, as far as their mothers were concerned they wouldn't let up until one of them claimed me as their prize.
Albis: ( sigh ) It would seem that it's inevitable, Serena would you mind helping me out for old times sake?
Mom: Seems like there's no other option.
My mom turned into her slime form as she wrapped around Albis' left arm while she turned herself into her lamia form. A long serpent body with dark scales and a pair of golden dragon like horns on her head.
Miia: Wow she's like me!
Kazuto: So you're a lamia too Miia?
Miia: Yep!
Albis: Pay attention everyone, this is how you take down unruly parents who don't behave.
She slithered to the middle of the room as both mothers stopped to see who just arrived.
Tsurara: Stay out of this you two! This is between me and her!
Mom: Even after all these years you two still can't see what's right in front of you. Not only that but you're dragging your daughters into your petty quarrels as well and making this day a lot more stressful than it needs to be.
Albis: I guess it's up to us to show you your place, just like before.
Ageha: I'd like to see you try!
Ageha decided to go for Albis but she was much quicker than she remembered. With every strike from her claws Albis was able to easily avoid it, my mom even trapped her hand in her slime body long enough for Albis to swing her arm that Ageha was tossed to the side as she crashed into the opposite wall.
Mom: Look out Albis!
Albis: I know, thanks for the heads up.
Shards of ice were sent flying towards them as my mom expanded into a larger size to act as a shield that not only caught the shards but she spit them back out with enough force causing Tsurara to form an ice wall to defend herself.
Tsurara: I see neither of you lost your touch. Why do you two insist in getting in our way!
Ageha: Just like back then, you two always meddling in our business. All I wanted was to keep my man away from this frozen psycho but you kept messing it up!
Tsurara: Look who's talking, you came on to him like a hussy but he never even looked in your direction!
Dad and Benimaru later revealed to us that the two of them had developed a crush on a classmate of theirs and spent most of their time trying to win him over. The problem, aside from the fact that they were competing against the other, was the fact that he already had eyes on another girl that wasn't either of them. They didn't even realize he wasn't interested even when they tried getting him to notice them when he was talking to his actual crush.
Kurumu: This has gone long enough.
Mizore: Agreed. Shall we?
With a nod from the two of them they began making their way towards the battlefield. After Albis used my mom as a whip to toss Ageha to the other side of the cafeteria a second time a torrent of ice was being launched at them. Before contact was made the ice instantly shattered into harmless ice crystals that gently fell around them.
Tsurara: What are you doing Mizore?!
Yep, Mizore stood in the path of the attack and by simply extending her hand she was able to nullify the attack in seconds. Suddenly she shot out some strands of ice from her fingertips that wrapped around her mother tightly, while they weren't as thin as my threads they still held Tsurara firmly in place.
Tsurara: Mizore stop! Can't you see that I have to beat her! I won't let her take another man away from me!
Mizore: That's enough!
It wasn't often that we heard Mizore shout like that, and clearly her mother felt the same.
Mizore: You are going to sit there and stay quiet, and you will listen to what I have to say mother!
Tsurara knew her daughter was serious, she even tried to manipulate the ice that made up her bindings to free herself but it was no use.
Tsurara: ( Her monster energy must overpower my own if I can't manipulate these threads of ice. Mizore, you've gotten stronger. I'm so proud of you. )
As that was going on Kurumu was in the middle of a battle with her mom above us. The clash between their razor sharp claws was intense and neither of them seemed willing to back down.
Ageha: Just what's gotten into you Kurumu! Can't you see I'm trying to win Kazuto for us!
Kurumu: For us, or for yourself? Mom this has gone too far, stop it before it gets any more out of hand than this!
Ageha: I can't, not until I show that icy stalker which one of us is better!
As she charged towards her daughter with her claws extended Kurumu struck back with hers. As she closed in with a powerful slash Kurumu faded into mist before attacking back from above. The force from her strikes was enough to not only push her mother back but also scratch the surface of her claws.
Ageha: How did you do that?
Kurumu: Just stop mother, or else I won't hesitate to hurt you!
The coldness in her voice was clear so she obliged and landed alongside her daughter.
Ageha: ( How could she scratch my claws like that? She shouldn't be at an age where they're durable enough to do that. Not only that but her ability to use illusions is also quite well developed for her age. Is it possible that she's been working herself to reach that level already? My little girl is growing up so fast. )
Thankfully for all of us the damage to the cafeteria was easily fixed by Yukari's parents. It took several minutes but we were able to explain the entire situation to the two overzealous mothers. They now understood their daughters feelings and saw the error in trying to keep their pitiful rivalry alive through them. They were also just as surprised to learn I had 8 girlfriends currently although I thought I heard my mom saying something about two more being close by.
Miia:...
Framea:...
Well whatever that meant I could worry about that another day.
I almost forgot to mention something else, we soon learned that the guy they were so obsessed with was, get this, Saizou's father! When they saw how he turned out they practically passed out from how different he looked now compared to back then.
After saying our final goodbyes we wished our parents a safe trip back home and we hoped the next time we gathered together that it would be far less chaotic.
Kazuto: By the way you two, where did you learn to enhance your skills like that?
Mizore: Actually we learned from watching you.
Kurumu: After everything we went through last year we decided it was time to improve ourselves so if you ever got into a big fight than we would be able to fight alongside you.
Mizore: So I practiced using my ice to bind my opponents in a more stealthy way after seeing you use your thread skills several times. It was tricky but I think I did a pretty good job.
Kurumu: As for me I wanted to improve both my claws as well as using illusions like other succubi. I'm still working on it so I have room for improvement.
Yukari: That's so cool! I better step up my game otherwise I'll get left behind!
I guess some good came from all of this after all. Though oddly enough I feel like I'm forgetting something.
Moka: Kazuto please let me have some of your blood! ( chomp )
Oh yeah, that. I guess we can say that Parents Day was more or less a success.
