The Slime and the Snow Village part 2
( Mizore's pov )
Where am I? Why do I feel so alone right now? The last thing I remembered was being held by Kazuto as we were sitting together next to a field of Snow Whites. He forgave me for trying to force our union in the hopes of freeing me from an arranged marriage and the next thing I knew I blacked out but I have no idea why.
I slowly began to open my eyes and the first thing I noticed was that I could no longer see the night sky above me but instead I saw an icy ceiling above my head with a single large chandelier hanging in the center. I slowly got up as I looked down to see that I wasn't naked anymore, for the most part anyway as I was dressed in a white kimono in a strange room with a throne right in front of me.
Mizore: Hello? Is anyone here?
Oracle: Be not afraid my child. Everything is as it should be. You are safe here in my palace of ice.
Hearing a set of footsteps from behind me I turned to the voice all while creating a few kunai in my right hand ready to defend myself. What I wasn't expecting to see was our village oracle making herself known to me.
Mizore: Y-You're...
Oracle: Yes my dear, as you have clearly surmised I am the oracle. It is an honor to finally meet you face to face Mizore Shirayuki.
Mizore: I don't understand, why have you brought me here?
Oracle: It is quite simple actually. I brought you here to fulfill your destiny. You will be the one to save our race, and in doing so you will usher an era of peace for our village and its people. That is why I brought you here to my home personally.
Mizore: I still don't understand, how can I save our people when you kidnapped me from my beloved?
Oracle: Your beloved? My child I believe there has been some kind of mistake.
She then went to her throne as she sat down. Her presence was so imposing that I was afraid of what she might do if I angered her or tried to question her further.
Oracle: As you already know I have the power to see visions of the future. It is because of this power that I was able to find this place and establish what would eventually become our home. My visions have never lead me astray and I can see your future quite clearly. I know that you and that boy, Kazuto Tempest are not meant to be.
No. I couldn't believe that, I refused to believe that! If that were true than Kazuto wouldn't have been out there looking for me for hours. He wouldn't have tried so hard to convince me that there might still be a way for us to be together and that we could change the oracle's mind.
Mizore: You're wrong, I know that Kazuto is the one I'm meant to be with! All he's ever done for me since we met is be kind to me! I always thought to myself that I was meant to suffer in silence while everyone else found happiness. Yet he never gave up on me and I refuse to give up on him! Can't you understand that Kazuto Tempest is the man I love will my heart and soul!
I didn't care if I made her mad, right now I was just pissed that she took me away from the only man who cared about me as much as I did for him. All I wanted was to go back to him and the others. I wanted to spend time with my friends both new and old, I wanted to continue having fun together. Most of all I wanted to see Kazuto's smiling face whenever I greeted him.
Oracle: I am sorry Mizore, but fate cannot be changed. You are destined for another and it is my sacred duty to ensure our survival. You and young Kazuto are not meant to be. Not in this life or the next.
Suddenly the doors to the throne room opened and in came a man followed by two armed guards.
Oracle: This is the man you are fated to wed. At exactly midnight you and him will be forever joined as husband and wife.
????: I have to say I was a little surprised to suddenly be called for an urgent matter. However I am quite pleased to see that it was for me to meet my soon to be wife.
Mizore: Who is this?
Oracle: Mizore allow me to introduce you to Mr. Fujisaki. A human who has risen to the status of a high level executive within a very large and successful company. By marrying him you will be our races salvation as fate has deemed it so.
Mizore: ( whispering ) N-No.
Miyabi: A pleasure to meet you Mizore. Please call me Miyabi.
We were then lead to a separate room located further in the palace. The oracle told me that she would oversee our marriage personally at midnight. Afterwards I was to be taken to the human world where I would begin training to be the perfect housewife for him. As I sat next to the window Miyabi decided to speak with the oracle about something leaving me alone for a while. I had to figure a way out of here but there were too many guards surrounding the place as well as powerful magic keeping me from trying to escape through the door or the window. If I tried opening them I would get electrocuted so that method was ruled out quickly.
Mizore: ( Think Mizore, there has to be some way to get out of here. )
I didn't want to risk wasting too much time in here, I knew the others were most likely trying to come up with a plan to save me but I didn't know how long that would take. The barrier surrounding the ice palace was said to be impregnable and you couldn't even get through unless the oracle gave you her blessing which would explain how I must have gotten inside.
Miyabi: It's a beautiful night isn't it? Almost as beautiful as my new bride.
Crap when did he get back? I guess I was so busy with my own thoughts that I didn't notice him come inside. Just being in the same room as him made me mad so I just ignored him and stared out the window as the snow continued to fall.
Miyabi: This certainly is a lovely world. A world so perfectly ordered that a rule of prophecy lifts one above chaos and anxiety. Such an ideal form.
He then walked up to the window as he stood next to me as I turned my head slightly away so I wouldn't have to look at him.
Miyabi: How I love perfection. I would give my heart and soul to preserve the perfection of this world.
Mizore: ( Preserve perfection? Just what is guy talking about? It sounds like a bunch of non sensible blathering. )
Miyabi: And since you are to be my wife you must be perfect as well. We can start by getting rid of that lollipop. I understand that your kind use it to regulate your temperature in the outside world but I promise you that you will have no more need of it.
Mizore: I'm afraid I can't do that. These lollipops are more than just something I use to help me keep my cool.
I took the one I had in my mouth out and held it in my hand. Even looking at this simple piece of candy made me feel warm because of what it meant to me.
Mizore: They're an important part of who I am. These lollipops remind me of all the fun I had with my friends I made at school. They remind me of happier times when all we needed was each other. To put it simply these candies help represent my precious memories and I won't part with them.
I know it sounded kind of cheesy but I was being honest. These little candies meant a lot to me and if this guy thought he could make me part with something important to me simply because he told me to he had another thing coming. Plus I know for a fact Kazuto loves sweets and I also know he loves it when he tastes cherry flavored candy on my lips. I then put the lollipop back in my mouth as I turned my back against him hoping he would get the message to leave me alone.
Miyabi: Is that so? I suppose I can let you keep those at least. After all after tonight we can live in everlasting bliss as husband and wife.
Mizore: I will never be your wife. I already promised myself to another and I know he and the others are on their way to save me.
Miyabi: Ah yes the young man you and the oracle were speaking about earlier. Kazuto Tempest correct? Tell me what does someone like him have to offer you? Is he rich? Is he handsome? Does he come from a noble family? If so I could see why you would be so infatuated with him. But I can already tell that he isn't any of those things. If he was I'm sure the oracle would have gladly let you remain by his side.
Mizore: That's enough!
I couldn't stand this guy bad mouthing my Kazuto. Money? Looks? Noble birth? How arrogant does this guy think he is? Kazuto is twice the man he could ever be. He doesn't need any of those things since all Kazuto had to do was be a kind and considerate person to us, that is why we fell in love with him and will continue to love him for the rest of our lives.
I turned my hands into ice claws as I attempted to scare him for saying those awful things, but then suddenly I felt my attack being stopped in its tracks. Miyabi somehow held me off easily and he wasn't even afraid of me. A single hand was all he needed to stop me all while he held a calm expression that almost seemed pleased at my attempt to attack him.
Mizore: H-How? This shouldn't be possible, you're supposed to be human!
Miyabi: Am I now? I don't think I ever explicitly told you that I was. Then again it was so easy to fool your oracle into thinking that so I guess it isn't too much of a surprise that you would think so. I guess her powers aren't all they're cracked up to be.
He then shattered the ice around my hand easily before pushing me back, it was only a small nudge but the power behind was enough to send me flying to the wall where I crashed before sliding down to the floor. My whole body felt like a giant bruise as I had some trouble getting up. He then stepped closer to me as he kneeled down to face me, he then lifted my head up by my chin as he took the lollipop out of my mouth and proceeded to kiss me on the lips.
Mizore: ( This can't be! Someone other than Kazuto is kissing me! )
I tried fighting back as I did my best to push him off me, even when he put his tongue in my mouth I couldn't fight back. When we separated he had a small smile on his face while I was crying. I felt like I betrayed Kazuto by having another man's lips on my own.
Miyabi: Why so upset my dear, it's perfectly natural for a husband to kiss his wife.
Mizore: ( crying ) How could you. You're not my husband. How dare you kiss me when I belong to Kazuto!
His expression then changed, it was only a slight difference but for some odd reason it terrified me. It was as if this darkness inside him began to awaken.
Miyabi: I see that you're still set on this Kazuto to be your knight in shining armor. Perhaps I wasn't clear on the matter.
He then grabbed me by the arm as he dragged me to the bed and pushed me down.
Miyabi: There's no reason for you to fear my dear. I promise you that I will not harm you or your world.
He then reached for my kimono as he put his hand inside the opening as he began to grope me. I tried pushing him off again but it wasn't helping like before. He was too strong, stronger than any ordinary human.
Mizore: ( Please, if anyone is listening please help me get away from him. Help me find my friends again. Help me find Kazuto. Please! )
As if my prayers were answered we felt small tremors shake the castle. Outside the barrier began to flash with light every few seconds with a sudden boom following it. The door to our room suddenly opened as one of Miyabi's men entered.
Guard: Sir intruders have entered the ice palace! We need to get you to safety at once!
Miyabi: You fool do you know what you have done!
Mizore: ( This is my chance! )
Without wasting another second I used my powers to create an intense gust of ice around the room. Once it had died down I was already running down the hall as I made my attempt to escape. Before I got too far I heard the agonizing screams of the guard as I'm sure Miyabi made an example of him for his careless mistake. I kept running as I heard yelling and gunfire echoing through the halls. Some of the attendants were running for safety while others tried to stop me.
Female Attendant: There's the oracle's chosen one, get her!
Unfortunately for them their powers weren't as well developed as mine. They teamed up to try and overwhelm me with a rain of ice shards but I simply created an ice sword and deflected them easily before launching a powerful ice slash of my own that either knocked them out or froze them in place.
Mizore: I don't have time to waste on these small fry. I need to get out here and find the others.
I kept running until I reached the oracle's throne room. I was about to make my way to the window when I was blindsided by a punch to the stomach which sent me crashing to the wall on the opposite side of the room.
Miyabi: I will admit that was a clever attempt on your part. But I'm afraid that our little game ends here.
Struggling to get up I saw Miyabi near the throne with blood on his clothes. He was beginning to lose his composure as he looked slightly angry at the turn of events.
Mizore: ( Come on Mizore, get up. How can you call yourself Kazuto's girlfriend if you don't get up! )
Ignoring the pain I was in I stood up and created several ice shards that I launched towards Miyabi. He simply reached his hand out and allowed the shards to break on contact.
Miyabi: Very well, I suppose I can play with you for a moment or two.
Was he really that confident in his own abilities? Regardless I decided to take the fight to him as I began using the hand to hand combat training I received from Souei and Souka. I remembered their advice and tried combining my strikes with my ice powers hoping to land a hit on him but it was useless. Every strike, every kick he anticipated and either dodged or blocked expertly while toying with me. I had to keep a level head but with everything I went through the last few hours it was difficult to do so. After I attempted to get him in the face he simply got behind me so I retaliated with a kick aimed for his chest.
Mizore: ( I got you now! )
He stopped my kick by simply grabbing my foot, after he let go he decided to take his turn and attacked me. The speed at which he landed his attacks was too much for me to handle. Whenever I thought I would block another strike from him he actually landed a blow to an open part of my body. Even the ice I created to act as a shield simply shattered like it was nothing.
Mizore: ( I don't know how much longer I can keep this up. He's too strong! )
I was nothing more than a walking punching bag and with a final kick to my midsection he had successfully knocked the wind out of me as I fell to the floor and tried to catch my breath. I was in so much pain that I didn't notice the intense shaking of the palace and the roaring sound of something hitting the barrier.
Miyabi: Maybe now you're starting to see the position you're in. As my wife it is your duty to obey me. Once we have taken care of the intruders we shall be wed without a moment's hesitation. But first, I think a little reminder is in order.
As I tried getting my breathing under control I felt him tugging at the back of my kimono in an attempt to take it off me. I slapped his hand away as I looked back at him with pure anger in my eyes.
Mizore: Keep you filthy hands off me! Kazuto is the only one allowed to touch me!
Miyabi: Oh really now? Do you suppose he would still think that after I kissed you? I'm not so sure he would want another's sloppy seconds.
Mizore: Shut up!
I tried to hit him one last time but he simply slapped me and sent me back a few feet as I fell to the floor. My face really hurt as I could feel the stinging sensation of where he hit me on my cheek. My tears fell as all I wanted was for Kazuto to hold me in his arms again.
Miyabi: Perhaps this won't work out after all. Maybe I should just kill you and see if one of your little friends is willing to become my bride. Of course that means that our agreement with the oracle is now cancelled and we will have no choice but to attack the town and its citizens. Make an example out of them.
Mizore: You can't! They haven't done anything to deserve this! Just leave them alone!
Miyabi: I'm afraid it's too late my dear. This is the price you pay for going against Fairy Tale.
He slowly made his way towards me as I was helpless to stop him. I was so tired that I couldn't even keep my kimono from slipping off my body as most of me was now exposed to him. All I could think about was my friends and how they might be forced to suffer at the hands of this creep. I didn't want them to face the horror of what I did because I wasn't strong enough to stop him.
Mizore: ( Where are you Kazuto? I need you Kazuto! )
Looking towards the ceiling I silently prayed that someone would finally come down and rescue me. For my hero to come and take me away from this nightmare.
Mizore: PLEASE SAVE ME KAZUTO!!!!
As if an answer from above we felt the palace shake once more as something crashed through the ceiling. Or perhaps it was more accurate to say someone. It all happened so fast as a figure wreathed in black flames like a demon headed straight for Miyabi with a pair of flaming wings burning brightly below his dragon wings.
Kazuto: Get the hell away from Mizore you bastard!
Mizore: ( Kazuto, it's you! You really made it. )
His attack connected with Miyabi as his head was firmly planted into the floor with Kazuto's fire burning as brightly as his anger. The amount of heat and power he was giving off was terrifying but I knew he was doing it for me. With one last push he had blasted Miyabi all the way down to the first floor of the palace as it was just me and him in the throne room.
Kazuto: Hey there Mizore. Did you miss me?
Just seeing him again was enough to make me cry. After everything that I just experienced I was so happy to see him again. I dried my tears as I gave him a warm smile, the one I know he loves so much.
Mizore: You actually came for me, Kazuto.
( Kazuto's pov )
I quickly ran over to Mizore as she had a hard time standing up. After noticing the bruises covering her body I quickly brought out one of my potions for her to drink, soon enough her injuries had fully healed. Not a single scratch or blemish was found on her smooth delicate body.
Kazuto: Are you feeling better?
Mizore: A little bit yeah, but I'm still really tired.
I then noticed her kimono was almost completely off as well as the fact that she wasn't wearing underwear of any kind so I looked away while fixing it for her.
Kazuto: ( flustered ) There all better.
Mizore: Why are you so embarrassed?
Kazuto: W-Well, y-you're kind of... naked under your kimono.
She then realized that herself as she took a quick peek to check if it was true and to her horror it was as she turned bright red.
Mizore: ( Crap he's right. Wait does that mean that whenever I tried to kick Miyabi he saw my...? )
Mizore then hid her face behind her hands as she screamed in embarrassment.
Kazuto: Mizore it's alright I didn't mean to look honest!
Mizore: That's not why I'm screaming. I just need to do something to fix this.
Before I could ask she just opened her kimono one last time and showed me everything, and I do mean everything. If this was an anime I'm pretty sure I would have passed out from blood loss. Just seeing my shocked expression was enough to get Mizore back into teasing me.
Mizore: Kazuto there's no need to be bashful, you've already seen me naked so it's no big deal.
I didn't need her to remind me, now that the effects of the flower have long since disappeared from my body I couldn't help but get embarrassed whenever I thought about it. She then fixed her kimono as we got back up ready to leave.
Kazuto: A-Anyway we better get you out of here. I don't know how much longer the other girls can keep the guards busy.
I then called Ranga to transport to our location and the moment he saw Mizore again he proceeded to lick her face like the good boy he was while she lovingly scratched him behind the ears.
Ranga: Lady Mizore, I'm so happy that Master was able to find you. Everyone has been very worried about your safety.
Mizore: Thanks Ranga. I really appreciate you helping us out.
I then lifted Mizore up Ranga's back so that he could carry her while she recovered her strength.
Kazuto: If we hurry now we might be able to join up with the others before they get overwhelmed.
Ranga: Then let's hurry before more men show up.
Just as we reached the doors of the throne room I felt a familiar presence wash over me. I turned in time to stop an attack from that guy I knocked down earlier. He was attempting to kick me while my back was turned so I did the same as we were at a standstill.
Miyabi: Kazuto Tempest I presume. I've heard so much about you from my blushing bride. It's nice to finally put a face to the name.
Kazuto: Thanks, I wish I could say the same but I would be lying if I did.
He was the first to break off our little standoff as he jumped back gaining some distance between us.
Kazuto: Ranga take Mizore and get her out of here. Find the girls and help them evacuate at once.
Ranga: As you command my master.
Mizore: What about you Kazuto?
Kazuto: Me? I'm staying behind to teach this guy a lesson.
Mizore: Alright, but just be careful. They said he was human when I first met him but it's pretty obvious that isn't the case.
Kazuto: Thanks for the heads up. Now get out of-...!
Before I could finish my sentence I felt Mizore grabbing the collar of my shirt as she kissed me. With her tongue meeting with mine and the familiar taste of cherries enveloping my senses I could feel that she had absolute faith in me.
Mizore: Kick his ass for me honey.
With that Ranga finally ran out into the empty halls with Mizore in tow as I faced my opponent.
Kazuto: I guess there's no questioning who Mizore loves the most now. So now all that's left for me to do is fulfill her request and kick your sorry ass outta here!
Miyabi: You're more than welcome to try boy, but I highly doubt you will be able to last more than a few minutes against me. I will admit I am impressed that you were able to get past the barrier protecting the palace. A great feat to be sure but it still pales in comparison to defeating someone of my caliber.
Kazuto: I guess we'll just have to see about that. Let's go.
We then rushed at each other as our fists connected, the resulting force of our blows was enough to shatter the glass of all the nearby windows as we seemed pretty even in physical strength.
Miyabi: Impressive. Most impressive indeed. I have to commend you Kazuto Tempest. It's quite rare to find someone who can equal me in strength. I can see why Mizore was taken with you.
Kazuto: Sorry to break the news to you but it isn't my power that won her heart. Truth be told I'm just a normal guy with a soft heart, but that doesn't mean I'll simply just roll over when someone threatens the people closest to me. I don't care who it is, you mess with my friends and family then you have to answer to me!
From here we began trading punches hoping to catch the other by surprise so we could really deal some damage. Admittedly Miyabi was very fast and quite skilled, I couldn't afford to underestimate this guy unless I wanted to embarrass myself by getting too overconfident. After blocking several strikes from him I then fought back with a few of my own to his torso before going in for an uppercut. He leaned back far enough to avoid the attack all while transitioning into a back flip that allowed him to kick me in the chin which sent me flying towards the ceiling. Before I could get hit I quickly repositioned myself midair to have my feet make contact with the ceiling before blasting back down with a stream of fire allowing me to rocket down with an axe kick that he blocked with his arms resulting in a crater forming underneath him from the impact.
Kazuto: ( Damn it! This guy's tough, he not only blocked my attack without so much as a scratch but he seems to be resistant to my flames as well. Better try something else and see if that will make a difference. )
I then used his arms as leverage to allow me to jump back before using Dark Hand to grow five magical arms from my back as I sent them flying at him in long range punches. When that didn't work I started swinging them around like extra tails hoping for a lucky hit but Miyabi was able to either avoid or deflect them easily. I then jumped as high as I could while merging the arms together into a single giant arm as I spun around creating enough momentum for the arm to slam down as hard as possible. Miyabi was able to avoid the attack as he ran towards me and he grabbed me by the shirt and threw me towards the wall, just before I hit the wall he closed in on me at inhuman speed as he punched me in the chest drastically increasing the speed I was flying in which made me crash through the wall and get sent flying outside the palace.
Miyabi: Tell me something Kazuto, is this really all the power you can-...?
Just before finishing that sentence he then felt himself being yanked towards me as he had some of my threads attached to his shirt. When he managed to close in on me earlier I used Sticky Steel Thread to attach a few lines to him before he landed that last punch, right now my main priority was to keep him focused on me instead of the girls.
Kazuto: Don't think you've beaten me so easily. Underestimating me will be the biggest mistake of your life!
I then reeled him closer to me as I kicked him in the face as hard as I could sending him crashing to the snow covered ground as I landed soon after. He then got back up as he brushed off some of the snow from his body. Even after all the punishment I gave him he still seemed perfectly fine, maybe a few minor scratches at most but nothing particularly serious in terms of injuries.
Kazuto: ( This guy just doesn't know when to quit. I better stay on my guard. )
Before we could continue the fight Miyabi took a moment to admire his surroundings before facing me again.
Miyabi: A truly wonderful sight isn't it Tempest. Two men fighting for the right to marry a young snow woman amongst the bitter cold landscape under a clear night sky with only the light of the full moon illuminating them both. We could not have asked for a more perfect setting with which for us to do battle.
No more words were exchanged between us from that point on. The only thing that mattered was the battle between us. We charged at one another again ready to put an end to this right here, right now.

( Moka's pov )
( A few minutes earlier )
This was bad, our plans to rescue Mizore failed. Ranga transmitted the news from Kurumu telling us that she was missing. One of the guards said that it was likely that she was taken away somewhere else with her new husband away from here. I couldn't imagine what Kazuto must be feeling right now, and to make things worse we still had a whole security force after us. Right now me and the other girls were busy holding off the guards firing at us as we used several tables and pillars as cover while we tried to thin out there numbers.
Kokoa: Damn it they called for reinforcements! Just how many guys do they think they can throw at us!
Rubi: Less complaining more shooting! We can't let them overwhelm us, we just have to hold out until we can regroup so we can focus on escaping together!
From the corner of my eye I saw Shion running out from her hiding place as she charged ahead narrowly avoiding bullets as she punched the floor as hard as she could causing an eruption of ice to head towards the enemy knocking them down long enough for us to shoot back with snow bullets to knock them out long enough for us to move to the next room.
Yukari: Over here you guys! Hurry before more of them show up!
We saw Yukari waving us over from the other end of the hall as more guards found us. We managed to quickly hide behind a small barrier that Shuna put up that gave us room to catch our breath for a moment.
Shuna: Thank goodness you girls are okay. Is anyone injured?
Rubi: Just a few scratches and light bruises, but we should be okay. How about you girls?
Miia: We're fine for the most part. I just wish I could say the same for Mizore.
We all couldn't help but be upset, we were so close to getting her back only to find out we were too late. We didn't dwell on it for long as we then heard the sound of something crashing down several rooms away from us.
Kurumu: What the heck was that just now?
Framea: I'm not sure, but I think whatever that was might have something to do with Kazuto.
Shion: If that's the case we can't disappoint him. Let's make sure we get ourselves back to him. For Mizore.
Us: For Mizore.
We all did our best to hold the enemy back. Rubi and Yukari supported us with their magic whenever they weren't busy helping Shuna maintain the barrier which was a struggle itself considering they had to constantly replenish its magic all the while holding off a storm of bullets. Shion, Suphia and Kokoa would attack with their incredible strength every time they had an opening to do so while taking cover when the guards reloaded their weapons and began firing again. That left Kurumu, Miia, Framea and myself to continue firing back. We wouldn't hold them back for long as more guards came down the other hallway and had us trapped from both sides.
Suphia: Crap! They have us pinned down!
Moka: What should we do now!
Kurumu: I hate to say it but this might be it. But if I'm going down at least I'll go down fighting with my friends!
Yukari: I agree. At least we didn't give up, I just hope Kazuto won't be too upset with us.
Miia: Why would he, I know he would have been happy to know we gave it our all. Let's show these jerks what happens when you mess with Yokai Academy's Newspaper Club!
Us: Yeah!
As the enemy prepared to unleash another onslaught of gunfire a surge of black electricity began coursing through one of the groups causing them to fall while the other suddenly was encased in a thick sheet of ice.
Mizore: This is just sad, I go away for a few hours and you girls get so dramatic without me. But I suppose it's better than seeing you all so upset.
As Shuna put her barrier down we could see Mizore in a white Kimono looking at us happily with Ranga standing behind her.
Us: Mizore!
We couldn't help ourselves as we all ran over to hug her. We also began crying since we were so happy to have her back with us.
Kurumu: Don't you ever worry us like that ever again! Do you have any idea what we've been through since you ran away!
Yukari: Yeah what she said! If you try something that stupid ever again I'll just keep hitting you with my washtubs until you knock it off!
Mizore: I'm sorry I worried you all, I promise I won't do that ever again.
Miia: You better keep your promise Mizore. If you don't I won't share Darling with you ever again!
Suphia: As your teacher I should be punishing you for running off on your own. But as your friend I'm just happy to have you back.
Shion/Framea: We all are.
As we separated Kurumu then brought out Mizore's fans and gave them back to her.
Kurumu: Welcome home Mizore.
Mizore: Thanks, it's good to be back.
Ranga: We must hurry, I can hear more footsteps heading to our location. We'll be sitting ducks of we don't keep moving.
Moka: Then let's keep going. Once we make it out Ranga can contact Kazuto and we can retreat to safety.
Mizore: Follow me, I think I found the way out of here when we found you guys.
Ranga: I'll lead the way with Lady Mizore to attack the enemy head on and clear they way for you in case we run into any more troops.
Kokoa: Then let's stop wasting time and get the heck out of here!
We then made our way down the halls as we attempted to escape. On the way we did run into a few more guards as well as some of the oracles attendants but Ranga managed to knock them over easily leaving us free to focus on getting as far away from here as we could. Once we entered the main hall on the ground floor we could see the entrance was wide open. Finally after all the trouble we went through it looked like we were finally in the clear, that is until Mizore stopped and built an ice wall behind us to block a torrent of ice and snow that would've gotten us if she didn't react in time.
Kokoa: Who the hell did that!
Mizore: The oracle, figures that she wouldn't just let me walk away.
As she let the wall down we could see the oracle standing about 10 feet from us. She was clearly angry as her fists couldn't stop trembling.
Oracle: How could you do this my child. I foresaw that you would be the one to give our race salvation. Instead you chose to ignore my prophecy and brought about our races end.
Mizore: I never asked to be anyone's savior. All I wanted was to be with my friends and my beloved Kazuto. If I'm so precious to you then you would have let me be happy and found another way to protect our people.
Oracle: You dare take that tone with me you impudent little brat! I will show you that no one dares to go against me and lives to tell about it!
Mizore: Listen, I want all of you to stay back. This is my fight and I don't want any of you to interfere.
Shion: Are you sure about that?
Mizore: I am, I just think she needs to see what happens when you get on my bad side. I have a lot of pent up anger for what she put me through and kicking her ass seems to be the perfect outlet for it.
Suphia: If you say so. Besides I think we have another problem to worry about.
Moka: What do you mean?
We all looked at Suphia as she was facing the door, suddenly another person was entering the palace. Someone who was frighteningly familiar to both me and Kokoa. The sounds of her footsteps echoing through the halls sent chills down our spines, most notably to Kokoa and myself since we knew that our chances of escape suddenly dropped, in fact it might already be too late.
????: Oh dear it looks like things are starting to get really serious.
Every step she took made the rest of us feel more and more dread. While she looked innocent enough she was far more dangerous than she let on.
Kokoa: No way, what's she doing here!
Rubi: Kokoa what are you talking about, you know this girl?
Moka: We both do. Everyone listen carefully we need to get out of here right now. If we don't there's a very good chance she'll kill us all.
Framea: Moka what are you talking about, who is that?
Kokoa: That's our big sister.
Kahlua: Hello everyone it's nice to finally meet you. My name is Kahlua Shuzen.
As we stood in between both Kahlua and the oracle we then saw a massive pile of snow explode outside as the sounds of fighting could be heard soon after even all the way from here.
Kahlua: Interesting, it seems that Miyabi is still fighting that boy. Honestly I'm actually surprised that he hasn't killed him yet, he must be quite strong if he can handle fighting Miyabi for more than a few minutes.
Miia: Is she talking about Kazuto?
Suphia: I think so, looks like we're all present and accounted for.
Oracle: What are you doing here vampire? I have the situation under control.
Kahlua: No, you really don't. It's quite obvious that you're plans to secure a bride for Mr. Fujisaki has failed. As such the agreement between Fairy Tale and you has now been terminated. Unless you offer to us your life I'm afraid that your people will have no choice but to submit to our organization or die.
Oracle: You can't do that, that wasn't part of our deal!
Kahlua: Actually we have every right to do so. You failed your end of the bargain and because of that you must now face the consequences of failure. Though to be honest it would be much easier if you simply surrender to us right here and now.
Oracle: Damn you. If that's the case I will see to all your deaths personally!
A powerful rush of wind began blowing us back, as the oracle began to increase her power a ghostly presence began to form around her. Her eyes turned blank as her body became almost lifeless as a distorted voice came out of her mouth as if speaking for the creature that had taken form above her.
Jack Frost: A pity, such a pity. All this effort, all for nothing. Forming an alliance with the organization that planned to invade our home was the only way to prevent bloodshed.
Miia: Does anyone know what the heck that thing is?
Shion: Beats me, but it's freaking me out.
Yukari: I think that thing might be a Jack Frost.
Jack Frost: Indeed. I'm the ectoplasmic embodiment of the power of prophecy found in your precious oracle. Simply put I'm the one who does all the actual fortune telling while the oracle is merely a vessel that allows me to remain in the physical world.
Mizore: If that's true then answer me this, what do you mean when you said forming an alliance with them would avoid bloodshed?
Jack Frost: It is as I said. Attempt to oppose Fairy Tale and a rain of blood shall pour over this town and its inhabitants. Look before you to see that the darkness has already arrived.
Suddenly the floor became slick with blood as we saw Mizore fall to the floor with a massive cut at her side. Next was Kurumu who followed soon after. As she did we saw Kahlua standing over her, her left hand was covered in blood as tears began streaming down her face.
Kahlua: ( crying ) Please give up, I don't want to fight you if I don't have to. You have no chance at beating me. Just surrender and I promise you that no one else has to die.
Kokoa: It's already too late for us, once Kahlua starts crying it's all over.
Rubi: What's that supposed to mean?
Kokoa: Whenever Kahlua cries it's as if all her reasoning gets washed away. She's the Shuzen family's master assassin, we have no chance at beating her in that state!
Ranga then went to tackle Kahlua but she simply sidestepped his attacked and kicked him towards one of the pillars as it came crashing down around him from the impact burying him in ice.
Miia: No Ranga!
Ranga: ( Lady Moka please tell the others not to worry, I used Shadow Movement just before the debris hit me and retreated back to Master's shadow. )
Moka: Miia it's okay, Ranga got out in time and is resting in Kazuto's shadow. Right now we need to worry about Kahlua and how we can stop her.
Rubi: I have an idea, Moka follow my lead.
Rubi and I then ran to Kahlua and held her down as best as we could. She struggled against us but we couldn't afford to let go of her.
Moka: Take Mizore and Kurumu and get out of here! We'll try and hold her back as much as we can!
Kokoa: You idiots get away from her! Once she gets going she's an unstoppable killing machine!
Kahlua then pushed us back easily as she then headed straight for Framea, Kokoa was able to turn Ko into a spiked club as she struggled to hold her back.
Kahlua: ( crying ) Please don't do this Kokoa, just let me kill you all and be done with it.
Kokoa: Screw that, I can't just let you go on a rampage and do nothing about it.
Framea: Thanks for the save Kokoa.
Kokoa: If you really want to thank me get the succubus and snow girl and get the heck out of here!
Miia: We're on it!
Jack Frost: You are not going anywhere!
Jack Frost then breathed out a powerful wave of ice that blocked the entrance to the palace leaving us trapped inside.
Jack Frost: You will all pay for bringing about our destruction! I will make sure you suffer slowly and painfully!
Suphia: It looks like we're trapped between a rock and a hard place.
Shion: Doesn't matter to me, if they want a fight then let's give them one!
Suphia: Shuna try and help getting Mizore and Kurumu healed up, we're gonna need them if we want to make it out alive.
Shuna: Of course.
Before any fighting could be done a figure came flying in through the ice wall and landed several feet away from us with another figure following after.
( Kazuto's pov )
I really hope that last punch was enough to put him down, after fighting for who knows how long I was starting to get annoyed with this guy. I quickly took a look at my surroundings to see the girls getting ready to fight. I noticed both Kurumu and Mizore on the floor bleeding badly and quickly ran over to help them.
Kazuto: Kurumu, Mizore hang on!
Jack Frost: YOU!!!!!
From out of nowhere I saw a ghost like figure flying through the air seemingly trying to attack me.
Jack Frost: IT IS BECAUSE OF YOU THAT OUR WORLD IS DOOMED! NOW YOU WILL SUFFER FOR ALL THE PAIN YOU HAVE BROUGHT TO OUR PEOPLE!
Kazuto: Tch, I really don't have time for this. Gluttony!
Once it was in range I activated Gluttony and attempted to absorb him since I didn't want to waste any more valuable time. In the end he was able to get away in time before he was completely devoured but not before I managed to snag a piece off of him for analysis. When he took his place by the oracle the part of his body that was separated from him began to fix itself up and before long he was as good as new.
Jack Frost: You impudent child, did you really think I would be absorbed by you so easily? You couldn't even begin to comprehend my power.
Kazuto: You sure about that?
Great Sage:Notice: analysis of the sample absorbed by the creature successful. Pseudo personality has been created for the new greater spirit.
I then lifted my right hand and held my fingers in a gun position and put it towards my head.
Ko: Get ready folks, it's time for some theme music whee!
Kokoa: Get back here you stupid bat!
( Insert awakening theme from Persona 3, specifically the part when Makoto summoned Orpheus. )
Kazuto: ( smirk ) Per...so...na.
* BANG! *
As my power began to rise some of my magic began to crystallize and take form into a similar looking creature above me, only he looked a lot more adorable and was ready to fight by my side.
( Quick note: Yes this is in fact the one from the Persona series. Enjoy. )
Jack: Hee-ho!
Jack Frost: It cannot be. You dare create a cheap imitation to spite me!
Kazuto: Cheap imitation? I think Jack here is way better than you buddy.
Jack: Hee-ho!
Kazuto: See? Even he agrees with me.
Jack Frost: I will not be mocked by a faker! DIE!!!
Kazuto: Go get him Jack.
Jack: ( saluting ) Hee-ho.
Jack then flew in the middle of a powerful ice beam and took it full force protecting the girls in the process, as the attack dissipated Jack was revealed to be perfectly fine as he dusted himself off.
Jack Frost: Impossible!
Jack: Hee-ho!
Jack Frost: STOP SAYING THAT!
While Jack kept the oracle's friend occupied by flying out of range and firing his own ice attacks I went over to Miia and Framea who were keeping Kurumu and Mizore away from danger. They were doing their best to remain conscious even with all the blood loss so I gave them one of my potions to heal their injuries. Great Sage informed me that I made it in time and that all they needed was rest. Meanwhile Moka and the others were busy keeping the other girl from hurting anyone else.
Kazuto: Who's the other girl?
Miyabi: That would be Kahlua Shuzen.
When I noticed Miyabi get back up I took a defensive stance to protect the girls in case he tried to attack them while they were defenseless.
Miyabi: Calm down Tempest. As you can see I have no intention of fighting you any longer. For now though you should be more concerned with Ms. Shuzen.
Kazuto: Shuzen? Are you saying that...?
Framea: Yeah, it's exactly what you think. Kokoa and Moka confirmed it earlier. That's their big sister.
Just great, another vampire to deal with. And judging by how much of a difficult time the others were having it was safe to assume she was incredibly powerful.
Miyabi: If you want to save them I suggest you better hurry Tempest. I can promise you that no harm will come to your friends.
I didn't like it but I had no choice, I then ran towards the girls as fast as I could. When I was within reach Kahlua saw me and broke off from the others as she went to attack me. I slid underneath her attack and was able to reach Moka in time to remove her rosary. Now that her power was unleashed we had a better chance at making it out of this alive.
Inner Moka: Thanks for that Kazuto, you have no idea how hard it was to just watch everyone else fighting while not being able to do anything to help.
Kazuto: No problem. I have to ask though, what are the chances that we can beat your sister?
Inner Moka: Honestly I'm not sure. We don't consider her a master assassin without good reason. Despite her appearance she's extremely deadly. When fighting her always keep up your guard unless you want to die quickly.
Kazuto: Noted. Rubi, Yukari, Shuna I want you to help Jack take out the oracle. Suphia and Shion you two will help Moka, Kokoa and I deal with Kahlua.
Rubi: Okay we're on it! Let's go you two.
Shuna/Yukari: Right!

As we split up the fighting continued. Kahlua was as powerful as I expected her to be. Moka was having a difficult time fighting her which meant that Kahlua was definitely no slouch in one on one combat. Thankfully Moka's training went a long way with keeping up with her older sister.
Kahlua: ( crying ) You've certainly gotten stronger little sister, if we weren't fighting to survive I would be so proud of you.
Inner Moka: Thanks for the compliment but don't think that means I'll take it easy on you!
After pushing Kahlua back with a strong jab it was time for the next team to take her place. Shion and Kokoa both did well in keeping her back with their weapons as Kahlua had to work her way around them if she wanted to cause any kind of damage.
Kokoa: You better not forget about me sis, Moka isn't the only one who's gotten stronger!
Kahlua: ( crying ) Of course I wouldn't forget my baby sister. I just wish I didn't have to hurt you or your friends.
Shion: Enough talk, let's take her down.
Kokoa: Fine by me, let's rock!
With the two of them using great swords they created powerful shockwaves whenever they landed a hit to disorient Kahlua even for only a moment. This allowed Suphia and I to utilize fire and electricity respectively to boost our strength and speed to try and push her back to make her waste more of her own energy in an attempt to tire her out faster.
Kazuto: Don't let up, keep pushing through!
Suphia: You don't have to tell me twice hot stuff!
Jack Frost kept dragging the oracle's body like a rag doll as they floated a few inches off the ground while trying to fend off Jack. Every time it tries attacking one of the girls with ice Jack would nimbly get in the way to block it.
Jack Frost: This is absurd, how can this little abomination predict my attacks?
Shuna: Easy, Kazuto created this creature from a sample of your power.
Yukari: In other words that means he can predict your actions as well as you can ours.
Jack Frost: No!
Rubi: That means we've evened the playing field, right Jack?
Jack: Hee-ho!
Jack Frost: Grr, DIE!!!
So far so good, at least everyone was working together on their assigned tasks. If we kept this up we might just walk away from this with our lives.
Kazuto: This is nuts, just how long can she keep fighting?
Kokoa: I don't know. But we can't afford to slip up for even a second. Besides, I think she's about to get serious.
Kahlua: I have to say I never expected you to fight so well. Especially you Moka, to think I would see the day when the seal constricting your powers was removed. I guess that means this boy is the one you love.
Inner Moka: What are you talking about? What does that have to do with my rosary?
Kahlua: Didn't your mother tell you? Your rosary could only be removed by someone who would love you for who you are. That means this boy, Kazuto truly loves all of you. Both your vampire self as well as the personality formed by the suppression of your powers. He loves both halves in equal measure which is why he could undo the seal.
That's why I was the only one who could remove the rosary? I didn't think that would be the reason but as cliche as it sounds I guess it makes sense. I accepted Moka for who she was when we first met as kids and I also accepted her vampire self from the very beginning.
Kahlua: While I'm truly happy that one of my darling younger sisters has found herself a worthy husband I'm afraid that is another matter entirely. I must kill you all, and since the restraint on your powers was removed I must do the same.

She then reached for one of the cross shaped earrings, specifically the one on her right ear and suddenly her powers skyrocketed as she screamed out in pain. Electricity began to surge around her right arm as it began to snap and break apart as it transformed into five massive bat wings with razor sharp blades forming the wings.
Kahlua: ( crying ) I'm sorry, but I must kill you all.
Somehow she was even faster as her first target was Moka, she didn't have time to react as Kahlua's blades already sliced through her body as all we could do was simply watch.
Inner Moka: I see, so that's how you use that arm. Too bad that was only an afterimage you aimed for.
Moka was in prime position to deliver a devastating kick right to Kahlua's jaw, we could hear her neck snapping from the impact but it wasn't enough to put her down for long. When we thought she was out cold she snapped back by using her blades to strike back with extreme force. Moka was able to barely scrape by with a successful escape with only her kimono having a few rips in the fabric and a few scratches on her upper arms and face, the gloves she wore protected her from most of the damage but they still suffered some deep marks which would need to be repaired.
Shion: I never knew vampires could transform like that. But how come Moka can't do that, is Kahlua a different breed of vampire or something?
Yukari: That's not it!
Yukari was busy dodging another ice beam while firing back a few magic blasts of her own.
Yukari: Vampires have long had the ability to transform, most notably into bats, rats and other animals. The problem is they're really vain and not only is transforming like that seen as disgusting by them it's also out of style!
Suphia: Seriously?
While Moka did her best to fight back I decided to join her as well. I went to attack with a flying kick but Kahlua used her wings like a shield to block my attack and once I backed away from her she tried cutting me down so I had no choice but to switch between my slime form and human one to avoid her and attack from a blindside.
Kahlua: ( crying ) Please just let me kill you already! Why do you keep resisting!
Kazuto: Because there's too many people counting on me! That's why I won't allow myself to quit!
As I dodged another swipe from her wings I brought out my sword and clashed against her. Sparks kept coming out from where our blades met as her strength began to overpower mine.
Kazuto: ( Moka hurry, you need to take the shot. I don't know how much longer I can hold her off. )
Inner Moka: ( Good job lover, I can take it from here. Just hold her back for a few more seconds. )
Moka, ignoring the pain coursing through her body then focused all her power into one decisive attack. In the blink of an eye she suddenly appeared to Kahlua's left and proceeded to kick her right in the ribs.
Inner Moka: ( I can't afford to hesitate and waste this chance, I need to pull off one perfect attack. I have to keep myself grounded, gather all my energy together and unleash it in one deadly attack. )
The sound from the impact was intense, analysis indicated that not only were Kahlua's ribs broken but the results should have also pierced her organs. In short it was over.
Kokoa: She did it, Moka actually defeated Kahlua!
Inner Moka: I'm sorry sis, but you left me no...!!!
No she hadn't defeated her, Kahlua somehow fought through the pain as she broke the clash between us and used her wings to pierce Moka's body as she threw her across the room like it was nothing. Kokoa and Shion managed to catch her while I ran over to her and gave her a potion to save her from her injury.
Suphia: This is bad. How are Yukari and the others doing?
I looked over to them to see that they were able to take down the oracle as Jack was now flying towards us with the girls closely behind.
Rubi: We took care of the oracle, but I have a bad feeling that the fighting's not over yet.
Suphia: Looks like it.
Kahlua then charged ahead and as I was ready to defend the others with my sword Miyabi actually stood in the way of the attack. Using his arm he was able to block the attack from getting through, yet despite the fact that Kahlua's wing cut through about a third of the way through his arm he didn't respond to the pain.
Kazuto: No way.
( end theme here )
Miyabi: That's enough Kahlua. We're done here.
Kahlua: Mr. Fujisaki, when did you get here?
Miyabi: I've been here for a while, remember when I crashed through the ice wall earlier?
Kahlua: Honestly no.
Miyabi: ( sigh ) Typical. I suppose this is normal for you given that once you become set on your mission you tend to drown out everything else happening around you. Now tell me, I wasn't the one who ordered you to go on a killing rampage. Did the patriarch tell you to do this?
Kazuto: ( Patriarch? Who's that? )
Miyabi: Listen to me carefully Kahlua, I don't care what the patriarch tells you. I was the one who hired you, therefore you work for me. I got what I came here for so we're leaving, do you understand?
Kahlua: Y-Yes sir, does that mean I don't have to kill anyone?
Miyabi: Unless I specifically instructed you to do so, no you don't.
Kahlua then burst into tears before she collapsed with Miyabi catching her. It looked like she used up all her energy and fell asleep. At this time Kurumu and Mizore recovered enough to join us as Miyabi was about to walk away.
Kurumu: Hey where do you think you're going creep! We still owe you a beat down after trying to take Mizore away from us!
Miyabi: There's no need for us to fight any longer.
Inner Moka: So what you just decided to help us all of a sudden?
Miyabi: Help? Oh heavens no, I didn't stop the fight to help you.
Miyabi then pulled out a handkerchief from his pocket as he cleaned up some of the blood off Kahlua's face as she rested.
Miyabi: Kahlua is able to block out pain during the heat of battle. Combined with her vampiric strength and regenerative powers that makes her pretty much invincible, at least for a time. However that also comes with the drawbacks of not realizing when she has suffered serious injuries.
After cleaning her up he carried her bridal style as he walked towards the door as a helicopter began to land just outside the palace.
Miyabi: If you continued your fight Kahlua would have lost. You all win this time, enjoy your victory.
Kazuto: Wait.
Miyabi then stopped and turned his head to face me.
Kazuto: What was so important that you had to convince the oracle to side with you?
Miyabi: ( smirk ) All will be revealed in time. Till we meet again Kazuto Tempest. Both you and your brides.
Just like that they flew away. The battle was over and we could finally rest once more.
Kokoa: Hey I am NOT one of his brides! Do you hear me you smug bastard!
After that things went back to normal. Ms. Nekonome was a crying mess when she heard what happened and blamed herself for letting Mizore get kidnapped. Suphia had her hands full trying to calm her down but eventually it worked. Tsurara was happy to have her daughter back home safe and sound and was sorry that she made her cry, of course Mizore forgave her and was just happy to be reunited with her family. We even got to meet Mizore's father who had come back from an extended business trip and when he heard about what happened he practically bowed at my feet constantly thanking me for saving his daughter and requested that I call him dad.
That night we were so exhausted that we didn't care about the special bed in our room and just passed out the moment our heads touched the pillows. We still had a few days left of our trip so we spent the time just having fun. Mizore took us sightseeing around town showing us some of her favorite shops and sites as well as teaching us some important historical facts about the town. We took pictures, tried out some amazing food, we even found some nice souvenirs for our family back home. When we decided to go skiing the girls were having a blast except for Kurumu, Yukari and Suphia who needed a lot of help learning how to keep their balance. Meanwhile I got to try snowboarding for the first time and it was just as exciting as I hoped it would be.
On our final night of the trip we all met up in the town square for the flower giving ceremony. A lot of the girls in town and those from school were able to participate as they were dressed in beautiful kimonos decorated in a variety of colors. The oracle made an announcement stating that from now on she would no longer declare a prophecy of fated pairs unless the girl who participated wished for it. Before all of this she came over to us as she and Jack Frost both apologized for their actions and begged for our forgiveness. Naturally we did and the oracle declared that if we ever needed help in the future that she would be honored to fight by our side.
Oracle: We promise to serve you to the best of our abilities as a show of gratitude for your forgiveness Lord Kazuto.
I didn't need her to call me Lord like the others but she insisted as she recognized my strength, according to her anyone who managed to overcome her visions was worthy of the title.
Anyway right now several couples have already participated in the event leaving the final group to come up to the stage.
Oracle: And now our last pairing for the evening, come on out girls.
The last group was unsurprisingly all my girlfriends as they each wore a kimono making them look extremely beautiful.
Oracle: Now girls please call out the name of your chosen partner to declare not only your everlasting love but also to present him with the flower to symbolize your promise to remain by his side for eternity.
Girls: Kazuto Tempest.
As the crowd began to cheer I nervously went up to the stage as the girls stood in front of me each holding a single Snow White in hand.
Girls: Kazuto Tempest, please accept this flower as a symbol of our devotion. May you walk beside us for eternity as we share all of life's joys and desires. From this day forward we promise to bestow upon you our love and loyalty forever more.
Oracle: Kazuto Tempest, do you accept?
Kazuto: I do, I accept this promise for as long as you'll have me. I vow to walk alongside you through good days and bad. To be your sword and your shield, but most of all to be the one who will make you smile and comfort you in times of need.
Many tears were shed that night but all in all I can say that the ceremony was a success.
Oracle: Now to close off the ceremony we have a surprise for all of you.
I was called back to the stage as I was given a headset and music started to play. I was asked to sing for everyone tonight and the girls convinced me to do it so I chose a song earlier today and it was set up for me to perform.
( Quick note: the song I chose is Snowman from the Project Diva games. Kazuto is also performing the same moves as the vocaloid Kaito. )
Kazuto: I hope you all like the song I chose, let's put an end to tonight's festivities and look forward to a brighter tomorrow!
As the crowd began to cheer I could hear the girls doing their best to cheer louder than the others as I poured my heart out in my singing, even Kokoa was having a good time though she tried hard not to show it. Jack even got in on the fun as I summoned him to make it snow gently around us to give everyone a show while Ranga was beside the girls howling with excitement. By the end of the night I can safely say our trip was a success, and while I would rather not have the lingering thoughts of peril swirl in my mind I decided to put a pin on them at least for the moment. There would be more time to worry about them later, for now I just wanted to spend time with the people who meant the world to me. The people who remind me why I do these things, because at the end of the day I truly love them.
Girls: We love you Kazuto!
