Thanks! Glad you're liking the story. I shall continue!

I never disclosed who Rikki was, only touched on her in the beginning. So, that's my fault for the confusion you had.
Lol, Leila probably will see that throughout her life, unfortunately. And how does Rogue feel about this?
Well, we'll see if Rikki takes the push and gives Logan a try.
Indeed. Boy and girl would cause trouble. You'll have to wait and see if the adoption goes through.
Having Rikki be interested in Remy would be insane. Think of the drama! No thanks!
More Dani will be coming up. Don't you worry.

Yep. Leila is indeed a Ruckus. Her powers are gonna have to get under control!

WOW, thank you for taking the time to review.
I can see where you'd think Rikki would be someone she isn't, but remember, I'm not following the comics. This is all coming out of my tiny brain.
But you're right. She isn't who you think she is and you'll find that out right now.

LOL! Well, let's hope she doesn't stay long enough to find out what the students are thinking about her dad. Talk about awkward!

You'll have to wait and find out what's going to happen, lol.

"And then Logan walks in tha kitchen ta find us and tells Remy that Leila's runnin' around in his Calvin Klein underwear." Rogue said, making everyone laugh.

"When I find her, she have a towel tucked in her shirt an' tells me she's Superman." Gambit said, chuckling. "I ask her, why don' she wear her own underwear and she says, she ain' got no red ones."

"Children." Sam said, shaking his head. "So Calvin Klein, huh?"

Gambit nodded. "Got a few designer underwear. Dey more comf'table Dat a problem?" He asked with a smirk.

Sam shook his head, smiling back. "Not at all. I think it's actually sexy." He said.

"Me too." Rikki said, smirking And taking a sip of her wine.

Gambit chuckled. "M' wife is right here." He said, placing his hand on her thigh.

Rogue rolled her eyes. "Like ah'm worried ya gonna steal my husband." She said, looking up at Gambit. "But those designer underwear are pretty sexy on ya."

Gambit smirked as she leaned in and kissed his cheek. "Now dat we all know wha' kinda undies I wear." He said, looking at Rikki.

"I prefer designer." Rikki said, looking back at him. "They're more comfortable and seem to have a more natural fit, versus the generic brand."

"Ah agree." Rogue said, nodding. "Ah switched over ta designer after havin' Leila. They keep everything up and in place."

Rikki nodded and smiled at her. "I needed all the help I could get with Micah." She said, looking at Sam. "Pregnancy really does a number on your body."

"So I've heard." He said, smiling at Rikki. "But you and Anna have rockin' bodies, so it couldn't have been that bad."

Rikki snickered. "You're so sweet." She said, taking another sip of wine. "It's a shame you're gay. You're adorable."

Sam smiled and slightly blushed. "Well, thanks." He said, looking at Gambit before looking at Rikki, seeing her glance over his face.

"I bet I could make you straight if you spend one night with me." She said, causing Sam's eyes to widen.

"I... Um..." Sam stumbled.

"Don't tell me you've never been with a woman." Rikki said, she was obviously tipsy the way she had been throwing the wine back so easily that evening.

"The last time I was with a woman was college and that was over twenty years ago." Sam said, looking at her. "Tried everything back then."

"And you prefer men over women?" She asked. "Women are a lot more flexible in bed."

"A'right, a'right." Gambit said, leaning forward and putting his hand out on the table. "Y' makin' poor Sam uncomf'table."

"It was just a question." Rikki said, downing the last of her wine.

"Y' don' need any mo' wine." Gambit said, standing and taking her glass away. "Why I a'ways get stuck bein' de responsible one? T'ink it's time we head back." He looked at his phone. "A'most ten."

"My goodness." Rogue said as they stood. "Those hours flew by. Leila better be in bed."

"Logan watchin' her. She ain'." Gambit said, paying the bill and led the small group out to the parking lot.

"Well, thanks for inviting me, guys." Sam said as they walked to the sedan. "I had a good time."

"Yeah." Rogue said with a smile as they all got into the car. "We'll have ta do somethin' ta make up for y'all's drinking nights."

"Drinking nights?" Rikki asked glancing at Gambit through the review mirror and then looking at Sam.

"I use to own a bar and Remy and Logan would hit it up once a week. But, Remy became more responsible." Sam joked as Gambit started up the car.

"Ey, I gotta lot on m' plate." He said as he pulled out of the parking lot and head toward the mansion.

"Once you have kids." Rikki said, looking out the window. "Damn, I remember when my husband and I would go out and have fun."

Rogue chuckled. "Ah remember those days, too." She said. "But ah don't regret havin' Leila. Ah can't imagine my life without our little girl."

"I'm not saying I regret having Micah." Rikki said, a little snip in her voice.

"Cool ya jets. Ah was talkin' about me, hun." Rogue said, looking back and raising and eyebrow. "Someone shouldn've had that last glass of wine."

"Shouldn't have had the first." Sam said, looking at Rikki.

"You saying I can't hold my liquor?" Rikki asked, looking at Sam.

"Well," He said putting his hand on his chest. "I was a bartender for many years. So, I know when people have had too much to drink and you, my dear, are one of those."

"You're lucky your cute." Rikki said, glancing at his lips.

Rogue watched her from the visor mirror as she moved a little closer to Sam.

"Can I kiss you?" She asked.

"What? No." Sam said, placing his hands on her shoulders. "This girl."

"It's just a kiss." Rikki said. "Your lips look so kissable."

"Sam jus' had a emotional breakup." Gambit said, getting Rikki's attention. "Don' t'ink he ready fo' anyt'in' like dat."

"I'm so sorry." Rikki said, placing her hand on his knee slowly. "How long were you two together?"

He looked down at her hand on his knee and then at her. "That's none of your business." He said, taking her hand off of his knee. "And I'm not going to sleep with you."

"Why not?" Rikki asked, still hounding him.

"Oh lord." Rogue muttered in the front, hoping they'd be at the mansion soon.

"One, I just met you." He said, counting on his fingers. "Two, I'm not ready for a relationship right now and three, I don't even like women."

Rikki gave her best seductive grin as she placed her hand on his chest. "How different is a woman's ass from a man's?" She asked.

"The fuck?" Sam asked, shoving her off of him. "I liked you better before you had anything to drink. You weren't such a whore."

"You son of a bitch!" Rikki said, slapping his face.

"Hey!" Rogue said, turning around and looking at Rikki. "Settle down! My god, ya actin' like a damn child."

Rikki crossed her arms over her chest and let out a frustrated sigh as she looked out the window. They were quiet the rest of the way home and once inside the garage, Rikki jumped out of the car and head inside before the others. Getting out of the car, after killing the engine, the three walked inside and head toward the stairs.

"How's ya face, Sam?" Rogue asked, looking at the inflamed mark on the left side of his face.

He shrugged. "Meh." He said, smiling at her.

"Sorry 'bout dat." Gambit said. "She seem like a nice girl. Didn' know she become crazy after a few drinks. Know t' keep de alcohol away from her, now."

"It's not your fault she's a crazy psycho bitch after a few drinks." He said as they head up the stairs. "Another reason why I don't like women. They're too emotional. No offense, Anna."

"None taken, sugah." She winked up at him as they reached the second floor and made their way around to their hall. "Well, try and get some sleep and I suggest lockin' ya door."

Sam chuckled. "Yeah, no kidding." He said, giving them a wave. "Night, guys."

"Night." Rogue said as Gambit opened their door quietly.

Heading in, they noticed Leila's night light wasn't on. Walking over to the door, Rogue saw that she wasn't in her room.

"Ah guess she's in Logan's room." She said, kicking her shoes off. "Ah'll go get her."

Gambit stopped her and smirked. "Let her stay." He said, locking their bedroom door. "Dat mean, she won' be walkin' in on us."

Rogue smirked back. "Ah see." She said, turning to him and placing her hands on his chest. "What did ya have in mind?"

"Oh, y' know." He said, taking her blouse and pulling it up over her head before he reached back and unzipped her skirt. "Jus' y' an' me time."

"Mm." She said, taking his shirt and doing the same before reaching down and unbuckling his belt. "Ah like tha sound of that."

"Uncle Logan!" Leila whispered loudly in his face. "Uncle Logan!"

"Mm!" He grunted as he jerked awake. "What? What's wrong?"

Leila hugged Freddie. "I'm hungry." She said quietly.

Wolverine sighed as he rubbed his face before sitting up in bed. "Alright. Let's get ya some breakfast." He said, getting out of bed and picking Leila up before heading out and downstairs. "You sure ya don't want your papa to make you anything?"

Leila shook her head. "I want you to make me something." She said, reaching out and playing with his beard.

"Alright, darlin'. I'll see what I can do." He said, turning the light on and sitting her on the island bar. "I can make pancakes."

"Yeah!" Leila said excitedly as she sat Freddie down beside her.

He smiled as he pat her thigh. "Pancakes it is, then." He said, turning and gathering the necessary ingredients. "Wonder why your parents didn't come and get ya last night." Leila shrugged. "Probably got in late."

"I'll go see." Leila said, starting to get down from the island bar.

"No." Logan said, stopping her. "They need their rest. If they got in late, they're probably exhausted."

"What does exhausted mean?" Leila asked, watching Logan start to mix everything together.

He smiled at the innocent question. "Exhausted means really, really tired. Like how you are after a day of swimming and playing at the park." He explained.

"Oh, okay." She said, looking down at Freddie and playing with the tuft of hair on his head.

Storm walked in and smiled at the two as she threw her shawl over her shoulders. "Good morning." She said with a smile as she walked over and hugged Leila.

"Mornin'." Logan said, looking her over. "I like those colors on ya, darlin'."

Storm smiled. "Thank you, Logan." She said, going about and preparing herself some tea.

Leila looked at Logan and glanced up at his eyes. "You wanna kiss her?" Leila asked, whispering loudly.

Storm smirked, but kept her back to them. "I will pretend I did not hear that." She said, setting the kettle on the stove.

Logan dipped his brows and smirked at Leila. "Forgot about your powers." He said, grabbing the whisk and began beating the eggs.

"I'm sorry." Leila said, apologetic.

"Don't you ever be sorry." Logan said, stopping his whisking and turning to Leila and kissing her forehead.

Storm turned and smiled at Logan before looking at Leila. "Where are your mom and dad?" She asked.

"In bed." Leila said. "They're exited."

Logan chuckled. "Exhausted." He said as he ruffled her hair.

"I can only imagine why." Storm smirked as she took a seat at the table.

"They went out last night with Sam and Rikki." He said, prepping the stove. "Got home late."

"I see." Ororo said, smiling at Leila. "And how is Freddie?"

Leila smiled as she pat the tuft on Freddie's head. "He's good." She said, looking at Storm. "He's happy."

Storm smiled warmly at the child. "I am glad." She said as someone walked into the kitchen.

"Morning." Sam said with a smile and a slight wave as he walked into the kitchen.

"Mornin' Sam. How was last night?" Wolverine asked.

"Interesting." Sam said, crossing his arms over his chest. "That's all I'll say, due to the fact there's a child and a lady present."

Logan snuffed a laugh. "That bad huh? Well, give me the details later." He said, turning and looking at Ororo. "You eating darlin'?"

"I will pass. Thank you." She said with a small grin.

"Thought you loved pancakes." Logan said, seeing Leila look at Storm.

Leila smiled. "She only likes papa's pancakes." She said.

"What's so different from mine?" Logan asked. "I've been makin' these longer than he's been alive."

"But Remy makes them with a special ingredient." Storm said.

Logan shook his head and smiled. "I see." He said. "Well, some things I can't compete with."

"Where are your parents, anyway? It wasn't too late when we get got in." Sam said, looking at Leila.

"They're in bed." Leila said, nonchalantly, still fiddling with Freddie's tuft of hair.

"Well, they need to get up." Sam said with a smile. "Bunch of lazies."

"I'll go wake them up!" Leila said as she hopped off the counter using one of the stools and ran out of the kitchen and up the stairs.

"She is so adorable." Sam said with a smile as he looked at Storm.

"She is a beautiful child." Ororo said as the water on the stove began to whistle at her

Stirring awake to the sound of light knocking on the door, Rogue rolled over and hugged Gambit as she let out a deep breath. He was awake, too, and placed his arm around her.

"Wha' time is it?" He asked, softly.

Lifting her head and looking over him, Rogue glanced at the clock on the nightstand. "Just after eight." She said as the knocking started again.

"Mommy?" Leila called from behind the door and then tried to open it, but found it locked.

"That's my cue." Rogue said, giving his shoulder a kiss before she got out of bed and walked over to the dresser. "One second, baby!"

Sitting up and leaning back against the headboard, Gambit watched her get dressed and smiled when Leila tried the door handle again. "Relentless, no?" He said, making eye contact with Rogue.

"Like father like daughter." She winked before pulling a tank top over her head and walking over to the door, opening it. "Mornin' love."

"Mommy!" Leila exclaimed as she hugged Rogue's legs. "Uncle Logan is making pancakes."

"Well, we better get down there, then." She said, looking at Gambit. "We'll see ya down there, hun."

"Mm hmm." He nodded with a smile as he watched them leave.

Closing the door behind them, Gambit took in a deep breath and closed his eyes just as his phone rang. He sighed as he reached over and grabbed it, seeing his father's name on the screen.

"Merde." He muttered as he answered it. "Yeah?"

"Yeah? Dat's how y' answer de phone?" Jean-Luc asked.

"Wha' y' want so early?" Gambit asked, rubbing his eyes with his free hand.

"Want y' t' open de gate." Jean-Luc said, causing Gambit's eyes to fly open.

Sitting up straight, Gambit looked at the window. "Say dat again?" He asked, getting out of bed and walking to the dresser.

"Come on an' open dis gate." He said, slower. "Be rude t' keep yo' papa waitin' out here."

"Non, be rude t' show up somewhere uninvited." He said, grabbing a pair of boxer briefs. "Give me a minute. Gotta get dressed."

Hanging up the phone, he got dressed and head downstairs where he punched in a code before opening the front door. Looking across the grounds, he saw a taxi pulling up and it made him sigh inwardly.

"God damn it." He muttered under his breath as he placed his hands on his hips and watched as the taxi approached.

When it pulled up to the steps and stopped, the back seat door opened and Jean-Luc stepped out with a smile. Taking his suitcase, he handed the cab driver some money before heading toward the stairs.

"Bonjour!" He said with a smile as be began to ascend the stairs. "Wha's wit' de sour puss look?"

"Dis ain' de best time fo' a surprise visit." Gambit said, not moving as bis father reached the top and stood in front of him, still smiling.

"Well, y' ain' never gave me no answer, so here I be." Jean-Luc said.

"I tol' you school be startin' Monday. Dat was my answer." Gambit said as he turned and placed his hand on the front door knob. "Well, yo' here now. Let's go."

Walking inside, they head into the kitchen and Leila looked at them and squealed as she hopped off Rogue's lap and ran over to give Jean-Luc a hug. "Papa Jean-Luc!" She said as he knelt down and hugged her.

"Mon Dieu! Y' gettin' so big!" He said, kissing her cheek before he stood, holding her in his arms. "Why y' gotta be growin', eh?"

Leila giggled as Rogue stood and walked over to Jean-Luc. "Well, this is a nice surprise." She said, leaning in and kissing his cheek as she hugged him."It's good ta see ya."

"Good t' see y' too. My, my. Yo' even prettier dan de last time I was here." Jean-Luc said, taking her hand and kissing it.

"Thanks." She said, giving a wink, as she ran her fingers through her hair before looking at Gambit. "Kept a good secret."

Gambit shrugged. "Didn't know he was comin'." He said looking around the kitchen at Logan, Sam and Ororo. "Dad, y' remember everyone."

Jean-Luc looked around the kitchen and nodded with a smile. "Oui, Oui." He said, looking at Leila and kissing her forehead. "I got a gift fo' you."

"Really?" Leila asked, placing her hands on the sides of his face. "What is it?"

Jean-Luc chuckled. "It be in m' suitcase. Go an' take a look." He said, setting her down and watching her unzip the bag.

Gambit glanced at Rogue and saw the smile on her face as she watched Leila open the bag excitedly. "A giraffe back pack!" Leila said at the top of her lungs.

Jean-Luc chuckled as she ran over and hugged his legs. "Li'l bird tol' me y' like dem giraffes." He said, placing his hand on the top of her head.

Their attention turned to the kitchen entrance when Jean walked in and smiled upon seeing their company amongst everyone else. "Oh, well, hello." She said, making eye contact with Gambit's father.

"Mornin'." He said, taking her hand and kissing it. "Look like someone been busy starting up t'eir family. Remy, y' takin' notes, boy? Need me anot'er grandchild."

Gambit crossed his arms over his chest and smirked. "Yeah, well, we workin' on dat." He said, seeing Rogue wink at him. "An' y' need t'be careful wit' yo' t'oughts, 'cause Leila's powers are startin' t' manifest."

Jean-Luc raised an eyebrow as he picked her up. "She so young." He said kissing her cheek. "Don' seem right, o' fair, fo' dis here petit t' go t'rough dat so soon."

"She's a rare case." Jean said with a smile. "We've been working on her control."

"You mentioned t'oughts." Jean-Luc said, looking at Gambit. "She read minds?"

Gambit nodded. "Only if she be lookin' in yo' eyes." He said, gesturing with his fingers. "So be careful wit' de t'ings y' don' want her t' know. Y' t'inking it and she look in yo' eyes, she sees it."

"Dat be dangerous." Jean-Luc said, smiling at Leila, seeing her study his eyes. "Y' readin' my mind?"

Leila shook her head. "It doesn't work right now." She said, touching his mustache.

"Bon." He said, patting her leg as he looked at Gambit. "Yo' brot'er sends his regards. Couldn' make it out here wit' me."

"Maybe next time." Rogue said with a smile as she watched Leila open all the pockets on her new backpack. "Haven't seem him in two years."

"Business has been good." Jean-Luc said, winking at Gambit.

"Morning." They heard from the kitchen entrance and looked to see Dani.

"Hey, hun." Rogue said with a smile. "Where ya been hidin' out?"

Dani shrugged. "I was hanging with one of the students. Mindy." She said, noticing a new face.

Rogue smiled. "Ah'm glad ya makin' friends." She noticed Dani's glance at Jean-Luc. "This is Remy's dad." She said.

"Are you a mutant, too?" She asked.

Jean-Luc shook his head. "I be a borin' ol' man." He said, making them all smile.

"How ya likin' it here?" Rogue asked Dani as she walked over and pat her shoulder.

Dani smiled. "I like it a lot. Everyone's been real nice and welcoming." She said, looking around the kitchen at everyone.

"Still want a spot in my cookin' class?" Gambit asked as he leaned against the counter. "Could put y' in last period."

"Sure." Dani said with a smile. "I think I wanna stay here and learn to control my power."

"That's fantastic." Jean said with a smile. "We'll get things sorted out with your folks and have some of your things shipped."

"Ah'm glad ya staying, Dani. Ya gonna be an asset ta tha school." Rogue said, adding a wink.

"I hope I'm an asset." Dani said, noticing Leila looking at her cautiously.

Rogue noticed her glances and turned her attention to Leila. "Leila, baby, why on earth are ya looking at Dani like she's got two heads?" She asked.

"I'm sorry. I'll go." Dani said, turning to leave.

"Now wait just a minute." Rogue said, grabbing her gently by the shoulder. "There ain't no reason you should leave." She looked at Leila. "What's goin' on, hun. What do ya see?"

Leila shook her head. "I don't wanna say it." She said quietly, turning and burying her Jean in Jean-Luc's shoulder.

"Y' seein' somet'in'?" Jean-Luc asked, she nodded. "Y' wanna whisper it t' me?"

Leila shook her head as she turned and reached for Gambit. Taking her, he smiled at Dani as he hugged her and stroked her back.

"Ain't yo' fault, petit. Leila jus' tryin' t' understand her powers." Gambit said, kissing Leila's cheek. "Y' wanna help me get Papa Jean-Luc set up in a room?"

Leila nodded as she went back to hugging Gambit. "Same room as last time?" Jean-Luc asked.

Gambit shook his head. "Got dat part of de second floor full. Y' headin' up t' de t'ird." He said, gesturing for his dad to take his suitcase and follow.

"Sounds like a adventure." Jean-Luc said as he followed Gambit out of the kitchen.

Rogue winked at Dani again before she looked at Sam. "Ah see ya face didn't swell." She joked, getting him to grin.

"Yeah." He said, crossing his arms. "I feel kinda bad about all that I said last night. I know she wasn't in her right mind."

"What the hell happened last night?" Wolverine asked, plating up the pancakes.

"Rikki can't hold her liquor." Sam said, looking at Logan with raised eyebrows. "She came on strong to me last night.

Logan smirked. "She knows you're gay, right?" He asked.

"Oh, she knows." Sam said. "Still didn't stop her from trying to get in my pants."

"So, details are coming?" Logan asked. "'Cause you know I wanna know."
