On the Great Fox, the Star Fox team were at the bridge with ROB, flying to the Autobot headquarters. The Aerialbots were in the hanger, waiting. General Peppy's personal cruiser was flying side by side with the Great Fox. The transmission from Optimus came with coordinates that were received after the message ended. Silverbolt transmitted the coordinates to the Great Fox and Peppy's Cruiser.
"Coordinates locked on. Prepare for light speed." Announced ROB.
Both ships then entered light speed, vanishing from the Lylat system and into the unknown.
The Star Fox Team went to do their own things. Slippy went to his personal workshop near his quarters to on some new gadgets and weapons for the team. Falco went in his room to play some video games. And Fox went to look for his girlfriend, Krystal. He eventually found her in the observation deck of the Great Fox, looking out into the unknown space. Even though he didn't have telepathy like his lover, Fox could tell something was bothering her. He slowly approached her.
"Krystal? Are you ok?" Asked Fox.
"I am, Fox." Replied Krystal.
"Hon, I know that look. Just, please tell me what's wrong." Said Fox.
Krystal sighed and looked at her boyfriend.
"It's our new friends. They were not lying when they said they were in a war, that they're on the losing side. That they lost so many of their own. That their home planet is dead. Similar to when I lost Cerinia, my people, my family." Krystal said bowing her head with her eyes welling up.
Fox placed his hand on her cheek and gently lifted Krystal's head so she could face him.
"You felt their pain, didn't you?" Fox asked, to which Krystal nodded.
"Their pain is not dissimilar to mine, love. And our worlds must not suffer the same fate as Cerinia or Cybertron. We must help them." Said Krystal.
Fox responded by pressing his lip's against hers. They broke off after a moment.
"And we will."
"Attention Star Fox. Destination is in range." ROB announced through the intercom.
"Come on let's head to the bridge."
The Star Fox team head to the bridge of the ship. When they arrived they could see the planet in full view.
"The planet is uninhabited, but capable of supporting life. The world is full of mountain ranges, forests, and a few oceans. Multiple energy signatures detected on the surface." Announced ROB.
"That must be where these other Autobots are." Said Fox.
"Fox is right. I sense they are waiting for us down there." Said Krystal.
"They sure picked a nice planet to hang out though." Falco said.
Just then the alarms began blaring.
"Alert! Unknown ship coming out of Hyperspace." Said ROB.
Sure enough, a large ship suddenly appeared on the left side of the Great Fox. The team were stunned by the sight of a vessel their unfamiliar with. Fox was about to command the team to prepare for battle before Krystal spoke up.
"Wait! They're not enemies. They are just as confused as we are. And I can also sense five individuals similar to our Autobot friends." Krystal said.
"That must be Prowl and the rest of the second team of Autobots sent away!" Said Silverbolt on the intercom.
"Then let's confirm we're not bad guys." Said Fox as he approached a console and tapped a few buttons to communicate with the ship.
"This is Fox Mccloud of the Great Fox. Please identify." Said Fox.
"This is Sasha Phyronix of the Starship Phoenix. We are here meet with the leader of our robot companions. Our sensors indicate you have five robots with you with the same energy signatures as the ones we have." Said Sasha.
"They are perfectly safe, I assure you. But I suppose introductions will have to wait until we meet the others down on this unknown world planet." Replied Fox.
"You're right, see you there." Said Sasha before cutting transmission.
Fox turned to his team.
"All right everyone, get to your ships! Time to make some new friends." Commanded Fox.
All ships and shuttles from their respective mother ships launched towards the planets surface. After they entered the atmosphere they landed on a rocky flat terrain near the foot of a gigantic mountain. As soon as everyone landed they exited their vessels. Star Fox and General Peppy were stunned by the strange aliens from the Starship Phoenix. But the Aerialbots were happy that their comrades made it.
"Silverbolt. Glad you're alright." Said Prowl.
"And I you, Prowl." Replied Silverbolt.
"Looks like you made some cool friends. Love to know them." Said Jazz as he looked over at Star Fox and General Peppy.
Fox Mccloud and the rest of his team cautiously approached the strange aliens including a certain feline creature with a small robot companion to introduce themselves.
"Hi! I'm Ratchet." Said Ratchet holding up his hand.
"And I am his companion, Clank." Said Clank.
"Fox Mccloud. Born on Paptoon, raised on Corneria in the Lylat system." Fox replied as he shook Ratchet and Clanks hands.
"I was born on Fastoon in the Polaris Galaxy but raised on Veldin in the Solaris galaxy." Said Ratchet.
"So Im guessing you're a hero?" Asked Fox.
"Yup. Clank and I are some of the best the universe could ask for." Said Ratchet.
"Me too." Replied Fox with a smile.
"I am Captain Quark! The greatest hero in the universe!" Quark said loudly.
"And sometimes this guy. But he's mostly just a pain in the ass." Sighed Ratchet.
Meanwhile, President Phyronix was meeting General Peppy. They had just introduced themselves.
"I reckon you were informed about a giant robot invasion as well?" Peppy asked.
"Indeed yes. Which is why I came." Answered Phyronix.
"It seems our interests are pretty much the same." Said Peppy.
Just then a small ship descended from the sky alarming the Autobots and Star Fox. But Ratchet spoke up.
"It's ok! She's on our side. I invited her." Explained Ratchet.
As the ship landed a woman emerged from it. She had apricot skin, pointy ears, shoulder length brown hair and blue eyes. She wore a red bandana and a red scarf. She also wore a green vest with a dark green shirt underneath and light green gloves. She also wore metallic shoulder pads and dark green pants with a light brown belt and light brown boots that reach her knees.
"Talwyn! Glad you made it." Said Ratchet.
"Hey Ratchet. Looks like I got here just in time. And these must be the Autobots you spoke of?" Asked Talwyn as she looked at the Autobots.
"Yup! They're the ones alright." Answered Ratchet.
Suddenly, the sound of vehicles approaching was heard. Everyone looked toward the source and saw a large red truck along with other vehicles driving towards the group. The truck stopped a few feet in front them and the rest of the vehicles circled around them. Then, the truck begin to shift and transform.
The Aerialbots and Prowl's team showed no reaction but everyone else watched in awe at the trucks transformation.
"Holy shit." Said an amazed Falco.
Soon, the truck completely transformed into a large humanoid robot. The other vehicles than began to transform into their own robot forms. Everybody was dumbstruck, with Captain Quark and Slippy's mouth hanging open in awe. The large red and blue robot then crouched down towards Ratchet and Fox, his face a few feet from them.
"Are you Fox Mccloud of Paptoon? Son of James Mccloud? And are you Ratchet of Fastoon? Son of Kaden?" Asked the robot.
Fox and Ratchet were shocked. How could this machine know who they are?
"Uh, yeah." Replied Ratchet.
"My name is Optimus Prime leader of the Autobots. And we need your help." Said Optimus.
Whohooo! Things are starting to get very interesting! Everyone is present! Time for the meeting to start!
Coming up next chapter, the reason the Autobots arrive in the Lylat system and Solaris Galaxy, and the roles of Star Fox and Ratchet and Clack in it.
